Not far from the chaos of Element City, a on the outskirts between the shining metropolis and the mock-natural beauty of the forest network, a clearing overlooks it all. From this clearing, one could see the disaster unfolding as chaos reigns over Electopia once again...
...and one can also see the oncoming storm in the angered clouds above.
Nightshade, who just moments before had attempted to reach the Undernet, would feel a sudden interruption of his movement attempt. He'd then be helplessly re-directed, taking form here instead for reasons beyond his own knowledge.....
A ping could be heard from Nightshade's Inbox, signaling new mail.

The storm above crashes with the breaking scream of thunder and the flooding expanse of lightning, filling the darkened network with light for a split moment. Its in this moment that Nightshade would see a tall, stoic figure standing in the edge of the wooded network and staring him down in silence. The figure stays for as long as the fickle light of the storm and is gone before the thunder, seeming nothing more than a trick of the light or the vision of a paranoid mind. But the voice that follows is anything but a trick or vision....
The voice falls to silence amid the thunder above, retaining no contact with Nightshade for a few moments as the feline Navi drops into a defensive position. Instead it allows him to hold himself before it continues.
?: I did not ask you of trivial issues.
Amid the trees, a flash of blue light faintly comes to life, revealing in its wake the dim glow of a single, electric-blue eye. From this central point, the same figure that Nightshade had seen takes form. Standing roughly 8 feet tall with a figure both strong and imposing, the entire form of this Navi is covered with golden armor adorned with large, sharp spikes and ornate scroll work with bright yellow gems inlaid depicting flames and royal crests with flawless detail. Behind this sight, a long, flowing lock of blue hair falls to his hips, coming from his most notable detail of all; covering this Navi's entire head is an all-encompassing mask of kin to what would be worn by an executioner. The only details on this mask are a port that obscures his mouth, an opening for his single electric blue eye that is framed by a red, scar-like line that goes through it, a golden hexagon on his forehead held in place by a golden band that stretches vertically across the crown of his head, and a single golden disk that is affixed where his right eye should be, framed by golden lines that meet it from below and sweep off to the back of his head at an angle; a detail that perfectly conveys the identity of the Navi before Nightshade this evening.
Scarface: Do you know what your presence brings with it?
Scarface's tone is dead serious as he addresses Nightshade, as made even more evident by the Energy Controller's still sparking eye as he looks on with a cold and dark stare.
"Allow me to be crystal clear then." Nightshade said. "I have no idea what you're on about. I have no idea why I am here, and I have no clue as to who you are. So, you can move on to whatever you need to do as whatever this is, it's a clear waste of our time."
The feline navi frowned. One after the other, and with his brief confrontation with the Life Virus, he didn't have regained enough stamina to use Greiga's powers yet. Still usually he was approached by two kinds of navis. One kind wanted to use him for something, the other simply wanted to dispose of him. However, Nightshade was no longer fond of any of those two options.
Scarface's eye narrows as Nightshade speaks. In silence once again, he contemplates the feline Navi's words, as well as the likelihood that he would lie in this situation. In the end, based on what he knew of this Navi, he chooses to give the benefit of the doubt.
Scarface: You are cursed.
Scarface once again pauses, studying Nightshade's reaction before he continues.
Scarface: Regardless of the source, your initial presence within a network causes it damage that is, as of now, irreparable. For this reason, your presence is not welcome within the Undernet.
Scarface holds his position before Nightshade, standing with fists clenched at his sides. Despite already being aware of the power that the Navi before him could potential wield, he remains stoic and strangely open in stance.
"Oh great, just another thing to add on to the pile." Nightshade spatted, his features getting visibly more frustrated and depressed. "Trust me when I say the Undernet is the last place I want to visit. But you there have something I need to find. It's an old age relic of Cybeast Gregar and Cybeast Falzar."
"And I am here because I need to find that statue or there won't be an Undernet to protect anymore. Or any other network even. Actually, you know what? Judging from how you came to me, you know something I do not know but I also happen to know something you do not know.
However, I'm not just going to reveal this kind of info to no one but Serenade himself. No messanger wibble wabbles. Tell me, how's the weather down there? Did you notice the strange earthquakes going around? Either way, this is the deal. I have to find this relic. This goes past my or your agenda. So we can either collaborate or we can all wait as reality as we know it gets shafted into a void. Should my word not be enough to warrant trust and my actions not pure, I'll be more than willing to perish to GigaFreeze. Not that my death would do any good to anyone, but I have no time to play around. I have someone I want to protect."
Nightshade was adamant on it. He needed answers, and from him jumping around so much trying to find them had lead in him knowing a few critical details. Or at least, more than what Scarface knew while locking himself up in the Undernet.

Scarface holds his position, keeping his gaze on Nightshade. His explanation is heard out, but then comes the reply.
Scarface: Your views and your opinions are of no matter. The Undernet will endure, but as of now you are its greatest threat, and this fact is more important than any that you now seek to protect. You will not be given entrance regardless of what you say
This would be the moment when Nightshade would feel it; the undernet itself now denies him entry, leaving him entirely unable to access it. Was this strange force coming from Scarface, or something deeper down...?
"Right, then how bout you tell me how to get rid of this Curse of mine Without coming in the undernet? So far it seems I am running out of option to try and fix whatever is wrong with me and all the problems that happened since I went to Netopia on Blues' orders"
Scarface's eye narrows at Nightshade's request. His duty stands with one single mission; to protect the Undernet in this turbulent time. He owes nothing to the one before him, and gives little more than avarice to the one who would take him from his post at the throne of...
Scarface's expression softens as his eye shuts. Despite being a Navi of the light, he had always been a Navi of vengeance. Granting hope to another was not his goal... but now would be a moment when vengeful natures would need to be cast aside in favor of something far more powerful; mercy.
Scarface: I cannot aid you. I am a Navi of combat and combat alone. However, there exists one who can come to your aid. Go to Kotobuki. Your Juuka should allow you to pass the barriers to the ancient Gospel server unharmed. Once inside, you will meet a Navi who may be able to aid you. I will inform him of your plight.
Scarface turns his back to Nightshade, unwilling to continue the conversation beyond this point.
Scarface: ...and may God have mercy on you.
Scarface disappears in a bolt of lightning, leaving Nightshade alone in the silence of the clearing.
Nightshade stood there, silent. So, he was cursed. He never heard about this Kobuto guy. Still, it seemed like only juukas could actually access that area. Although he had been doubting if he actually had become what he tought he had become, it was better than anything. The feline navi turned his back to the clearing as well, opening up a map to search for the Gospel Servers. He knew from his time in the ONB they had been moved to a more secure place.
He just hoped that would be the ray of light at the end of a tunnel made of depression, death and loss.
