It’s a Dead Heat!
It’s a Dead Heat!
-Navi Name: Velua.EXE
--Appearance:
Velua is a rather strange looking navi with proportions that would appear very unusual on a more humanoid navi. She stands considerably taller compared to other navis at almost 8 feet tall and looks more robotic than typical, lacking “flesh” and instead being almost exclusively metal and rubber. Despite this, she does have a properly emoting and youthfully feminine looking face, just metallic and somewhat angular. Her appearance largely has a bright yellow motorcycle motif.
Her helmet seems styled after a motorcycle helmet with two Bunny ear styled antenna on the sides where her ears would be. There is a visor that can be lifted and lowered to completely obscure and protect her face mid-combat or race and a pair of segmented metal “pigtails” (though more accurately antennae) also come from under her helmet.
Velua’s torso is reminiscent of the front of a sports motorcycle complete with a large central crystalline “headlight” and a windshield acting as chest armor and a gorget protecting her neck. A Motorcycle wheel rests on her backpack and a pair of what appear to be handlebars extend from behind her shoulders.
Velua’s legs are unusually thin, long, and clearly pivot by a ball joint, though her joints are surrounded and protected by plates of skirt armor. Her calves both have half a motorcycle wheel on the side, exhaust cylinder-like boosters on the back, and her feet/boots resemble thinner platform boots with what look like holographic wheel spokes in them.
The motorcycle motif runs more than surface level however, because Velua has the ability to transform herself into a functional sports motorcycle mode to race along at high speed for efficient web navigation and high-speed battle. The wheels on her back serve as the motorcycle’s tires and her arms function as the front axle for steering with the handlebars on her backpack actually only acting as handles since only Velua steers herself. Her legs combine to form the rear axle and the plates of skirt armor along with her torso act as the main chassis of the bike. Her head folds away while in Motorcycle form and instead she perceives the world around her through an array of crystalline sensors and cameras on the windscreen and mirrors.
--Personality:
Velua is a rather bubbly and loyal individual, handling tasks with energy and gusto. True to her appearance, she enjoys handling things assertively at full throttle and largely based on her intuition rather than hard analytics. She enjoys spontaneous thrill-seeking through both driving and battle, and also enjoys helping others. With that said however, she isn’t exactly irresponsible since she was also programmed to take care of a younger NetOp. She does her best to set a good example for him, and occasionally gently chides him to be responsible. Despite her own reckless by admission behavior, the safety of her NetOp and people close to her are Velua’s number one priority, and placing others in danger willfully is something that Velua does not tolerate.
A rather curious detail of Velua is what she calls her “appreciation of beauty”, which is a more dignified of saying that Velua enjoys jokingly flirting males and females alike that she deems cute (particularly females at times). On the other end of the spectrum, she can be childishly brutal on insulting people when irritated. Velua also enjoys coming up with nicknames for people, sometimes to shorten a name, sometimes on a characteristic which potentially drags their nicknames even longer than their actual name.
--Background:
Velua was made to be the navi for young boy named Jean Nash by his father. Using the idea for a children’s show Superhero-like character as a basis, Velua was then programmed to behave as a motherly/sisterly figure to Jean since his father was a single parent, thus Jean rarely had any contact with his actual mother due to somewhat strained relationships. Velua continues to be Jean’s caretaker and friend, and will continue to do so.
