The town as always rarely saw sunlight and was away from the problems happening elsewhere right now. Or was it? It was east of Element City, the constant thunderstorms prevailing even now. They seemed a bit more fierce than they would normally be, perhaps because of some outside interference above the black cloud. Likely true, as the Tower seemed to be taking many more strikes than usual at the moment as well. But this was the agreed upon location for the meeting, so she should be able to arrive now without any problems.

Xeel (Shast is really stupid, and accidentally edited his own post out instead of replying. So this is curt and poorly written out of rage.)
Xeel arrives in her tattered but nice Sharonian uniform and rides the trams to the proper destination. Getting strange looks as the standard wayfarers of the city are of the research or blue collar ilk. Not on the soldier.
Upon reaching the final tram stop she hops off and in mere moments is at the base of the designated meeting point, the base of the tower. Parking herself on a bench she awaits her contact.
Glad I'm a digital being and can't feel exhaustion. She mumbles, tossing her hat beside her.

"It's one thing to look down on and wonder about, the perpetuity of this world. Oh well."
It was like a being of static. It would probably stand out anywhere when it was just a humanoid shape that looked like static given form. The voice was cracking off and on as well, but the words came out clearly at the same time. It came off a bit bemused and didn't sound like it minded its current appearance, as even any who would pass by the base of the tower at this time would go by without making a sound or fuss about it even compared to the gazes Xeel got her way here from time to time.
"Although without exhaustion you aren't without the ability to be distracted, given the time that's passed. Well? How did things go?"

Xeel Xeel cocks her head to the side, averting her gaze from the foreboding constant above to the creature beside her. Grinning at the passage of time comment.
Ah, right. She admits coyly. I'll get to that if desired. but first as requested.. Xeels demeanor changes. Her carefree "I'm all that" voice changing to a deadpan serious. All three marks were utterly destroyed. The packages were also delivered where they were needed with one of the extras I was given being dropped off at mark 3 for good measure. As you can see, in proper attire.
Now, Target 2 held its own chaos besides me. Hence the tardiness. If you'd like I'll fill you in but its not directly related to the orders I was given.

The creature listened intently, the noise that came from it sticking as the only sign of its continued presence. When she finished was when it replied, as the situation had also changed on their end. It meant that it was time for them to take measures and adjust accordingly, which was already being done.
"There's no need to worry. That issue will resolve itself in a favorable fashion soon. The rest was done as well as one should expect of you. Even if not directly related, knowledge is still valuable. What occurred with the second mark?"
It sounded rather curious on the subject in question and depending on what it was may or may not have had something that was important to them. Or something that they might have already accounted for thanks to their own situation.

Xeel Alright. Her tone shifts partway back As was written in the file their security was lax. Amazingly so actually as after I arrived they had a virus outbreak of some experimental viruses they, I'm pretty sure, created. They were in possession of some research on regenerating data, even from permanent deletion from what the file said. Sadly the virus outbreak and subsequent emergency lockdown of the facility prevented me from copying it.
Xeel adjusts herself on the bench. Then continues. One of their agents, a cocky little poison lizard thing that honestly may have been built to sell action figures instead of be a competent enforcer attempted to threaten me by telling me a lot of probably classified information. She grins to herself in disbelief at the absurdity of the event.
Apparently Blues and the NSD CEO's kid are friends. The two groups are in some agent exchange program. He mentioned some other navi named 'Nightshade' not being at the facility. Implying he's part of this exchange program.

It was a pretty amusing idea for them to be trying to do something so meaningless. And the action figure wasn't anything worth noting. He wouldd either be wise and stay out of their way like the rest of their relatively ruined NSD or be foolish like the rest of their unwise NSD and no longer be in their equation whatsoever. Even if any of this was false, the fact that they allowed any of it to happen showed their failings. But it didn't show their failings quite as well as each of their top agents did instead. But Nightshade was a name that he was rather familiar with.
"Nightshade is a navi who swings back and forth, mostly to our whim. Others will try to defend him and say he's done nothing wrong, but really, he was the perfect catalyst. Their agent exchange is pretty much dead in the water now as well in light of recent events. He's nothing to be concerned about. Should he try to interfere with you, just eliminate him. The power he gained has served us well, but isn't a threat to you at all."
It was why they were willing to let him take it. They had enough time to rectify it, and had more than enough time to simply go and fix it themselves. And yet they allowed him to continue moving freely... just so he could cause the dilemma the world was now in. And because others would always stand up for him, they would never be able to work together as well. It was funny how easy it was to bend others by simply playing on what they wanted. He'd continue to hold on to what they wanted him to until time was up or he died, making it theirs anyway. It would just be an amusing way to go for him to try it on Xeel of all people. The meek and powerless gaining power didn't make them strong or even meaningful. It simply made them usable.
"As for your payment, the funds will be transferred accordingly. And should you be willing to pursue your own personal goal, we're willing to accomodate you as well. Though you wouldn't be able to stretch for some time. The pieces are still on the move and not quite in position yet, but will be just in time."

Xeel While never having met the navi spoken of if he is anything like his compatriots and base he'd be a non-issue for sure. Utterly Savage. she thinks to herself as they belittle their adopted pawn.
Xeel attempts to stifle a grin but fails. A smirk creeps across her cheeks while her eyebrow flicked up in excitement. This is my sole function. As it was programmed to be. Sign me up~ She gives a resounding thumbs up in the beings direction. A simple response for such a weighted offer. Thinking not of what ordeals would need to be undergone to get what she desired. Or what such an acceptance could mean for she herself. As is her nature.

She was as eager as she should be to fulfill her calling at long last. After all no one before would ever be willing to let her see it through. But they were nothing like those who came before them. And it was that very reason that they were more than simply willing to accomodate her with something far more valuable than the simple money she could use to drain away at a fleeting delight.
"Good. Then you'll be coming with me for a while. Some of our resources are being reserved for our next member, but what we have will be far more than enough. And when it's over you'll be able to do far more than only accomplishing your sole function. What you deal will haunt those who suffer it forevermore."
It was around now that Xeel would notice that the area had looked a bit different. It was grayed out, something that had been happening for some time. The reason why the people passing by were simply ignoring the creature and now her, perhaps? Not looking because they thought she was weird speaking to herself or her operator where she was? A tear had opened up, a small rift that she could walk through to reach her next destination with them. The creature didn't pass through it, instead simply flickering out like a candle. As though it were never there and leaving her with the entrance that she needed.

Xeel She without hesitation hops up and struts to the literal open invitation. Huhm. The assassin wonders. More than my function...? A foreign concept to the navi. As in her unknown years of existence the thought had never crossed her. It was never meant to. She vanishes into the breach.
