The young girl looked up into the sky. Figures falling from the sky, landing on the ground. navi's around her began screaming in fear. Some teleporting out, others running away. Someone had screamed "Reaverbots!" and ran inside the nearest building. Her companion looked around, before grabbing the girl's dress and pulling her to the nearest building, where people were fighting to get in.
"Miss Xylia. We need to leave. It isn't safe here."
The girl nodded. She turned to enter the building, when she noticed a young navi had tripped. One of those "reaverbots" was standing above him, about to strike him down, when she stepped forward, taking in a deep breath. As she breathed out, a large gust struck the Red eyed monster in the chest area, sending it flying several yards.
"Xylia, what are you doing? We need to..-"
It was too late. The girl had already ran forward, grabbing the boy. She lifted him up, and basically dragged him back to the building. She shoved him inside, before checking to see if anyone else needed help. The small Virus sighed, and began spewing Fireballs at nearby Reaverbots, in an attempt to help other's flee. The girl stood just outside of the door to the building, holding it open for any other navi's to flee inside, and hide, or teleport out safely...

Amid the chaos, corrupted shadows emerge revealing a girl in a military uniform. After a few moments the shadows fade, leaving the her there. General Mary looked around at the Reaverbots that were running amuck as she stood in the middle of the street.
"Hm. Where did the tormented one go? Did he let go during transit?"
She shrugged. She was mostly talking to herself out loud. If he wanted to be here, he would show up eventually.
Mary then turned towards Xylia's direction. Was she.. holding a door open?
That'll just give the Reaverbots a chance to get inside, she thought.
She rose her hand, calling upon twelve Sabers to appear around her like a clock before spinning rapidly, acting as both a barrier and an offensive shredder. Her raised hand had another Saber summoned in which she grabbed, took two steps towards the Reaver Xylia had knocked over, and pierced it through it's red eye. To ensure its operation ceased, the Sabers spinning around her flew into the air, one by one, and crashed into the eye themselves. After the twelve additional strikes, the Sabers spun around her once more.
"You." She said to Xylia. "State your name and level of authority for Element City."

Xylia watched General Mary as she took out the Reaverbot. The spinning sabers were a really cool thing. It seems kind of familiar. However, she couldn't remember where. As another Reaverbot headed toward the door she held open, she again breathed in, taking a deep breath. Both girl and her viral companion breathed out, a fireball spewing forward, growing from the girl's breath, gaining speed, as it blasted the Reaverbot back and knocked it over. She turned to Mary.
"I'm Xylia. This is Cura. I don't understand the other part of your question."
She looked up quickly, as more of those things... Those Reaverbots, fell from the sky.

The terrain rumbled slightly as a presence made his way towards them. Tip tap tip tap. It got closer and closer, revealing a feline shape. Somewhat humanoid, but with paws and tail. An...old friend for the ONB operative. His power was imposing and different from a normal navi. No the guy walking up to them had the same signature of a Cybeast. He had got a new uniform. Yellow in color with cyan highlights. It was much more...eye catching than his old white blue gold uniform.
Nighthsade walked past Mary, to stop between her and Xylia. "She's just a civvie, Altair. Leave her out of this." He simply stated.

"It'd be wise to watch your tongue, ex-officer Traitorshade. Just because you were my doorway into the ONB, does not mean it grants you permission to say that word here."
Her head tilted downward as she deadset her eyes on Nightshade, while knocking away a Reaverbot approaching her. Clearly, her killing intent of the Reaverbots was currently absent.
"If you read my honest resume, you would understand the gravity that word consumes, the walls it breaks."

"Oh trust me, I know." He calmly stated. "It was real fun digging through stuff and learning the story I never knew. You mere presence here was enough to break that wall you speak of. I was just more...propense toward the change than others. However, you cannot blame me for doubting you, you see. Wouldn't be the first time you killed an innocent girl."
The juuka effortlessly vaulted over the circle of spinning blades, tip tapping his way towards the lady with white hair.
"I know of everything that happened. I am sorry for that. But, you see, I am as much of a traitor as you are manipulative and deceptive. Kudos for the originality of your plan though. Too bad it backfired."
He begain walking in circles around Mary, studying her. "You know, if my girlfriend were to come to know what you did under that innocent face of yours...she would come to take your head and trust me, not even her "Nighty" would be able to stop her."
The juuka slowed to a complete stop behind her, swatting a pesky reaverbot into a wall like nothing. "I must warn you though. In this world, you do not have enough acceptance to beat my Sunshine. As for me, well...let's just say that I've been training alot since last time, doing the things I did because I believe in peace. Something that someone like you seemed so keen on destroying."
Nightshade returned to his previous position: belly to belly, face to face with "Mary".
"So...why are you here, Altair? What is the real reason you are here in this world?"

Xylia watched as the two navis were having their moment. It seemed almost like an argument. But there were underlying threats. Xylia was confused at why they would want to deal with this problem now.
Cuts looked out upon them. This was a heated discussion that could easily turn ugly. However, Cura knew this wasn’t their fight or problem. They had bigger issues... some of them quite literally.
”Guys. I realize you have some score to settle and some nerves have been hit. And I know it’s not our business. We won’t get involved in your business. But can we at least deal with the impending problem? More of those things were falling from the sky.
And more were indeed dropping. The streets began to fill up with more of them. Xylia blasted another one with wind off of its feet as it landed several feet away from her. She let go of the door, letting it shut. Cura spat a couple of fireballs.
”Xylia. We need to get somewhere safe. This is going to quickly become too much here. Without many others fighting, maybe we should retreat inside.”
Xylia nodded.
”Where should we go?”
Cura looked around, her fiery head peaking around the side of the building. Was there a basement they could hide in? She thought quietly for a moment, before grabbing the door. The pair entered the establishment, to wait and see what the other two did.
”Let’s see what they do.”

Before she spoke, General Mary thought a moment. A sinister grin bleeded onto her face.
"Oh, is that the presence that followed you here? Well.."
Mary snapped her fingers. It wasnt clear at first, but Xylia and Nightshade could notice somebody leave the area; the strength of the feeling being as great as if they had been standing right in front of them, yet suddenly vanishing.
"Now if you are done with your charades, you will listen to me, 'civvie'. Fend off the Reaverbots while.. [she gestures ovet to Xylia] Xylia and I think of a plan. If you kill me now, this, 'Inori', dies instantly. As if we are one and the same right now."
She laughed while she leaned forward.
"You would be killing her! Do as your told, or I'll inform the ONB of your whereabouts right now."
She walked away from Nightshade and entered the building with Xylia inside, closing the door behind her.
"I apologize for the side tracking. I am General Mary.EXE, Initiate of the ONB. Moving past formalities, we need a plan. What ideas do you two have?"

"And you call yourself ONB? Using innocents as bait?" Nightshade spatted, grabbing her and shoving the lady inside the house. "She'd better have not a single point of damage or I swear, not even Forte will stop me from having your head."
The juuka slammed the door sut and faced the reaverbots. "Why the hell would she follow me darn it. I told her it would be dangerous."

Xylia was about to respond to Mary when she heard a noise. It was very faint, and came from behind her. She turned, leaving the other two for a moment. She looked behind the counter, and to her surprise, the noise was a pair of little ball viruses! They were so tiny and cute! They were stuck inide of a small cage that had fallen over. Xylia quickly undid the clasp of the cage, ignoring the other two bickering away at the moment. She got the top half off, then undid the metal bars at the corners, so the walls of the cage collapsed, freeing the viruses. Xylia squatted down, offering out her hand cautiously. The viruses looked at her, then to her hand. They had clearly been scared by all of the commotion. The red little ball virii with its eye looked at her hand, and cautiously waddled forward, under Xylia's hand. She petted the little one on the head, and it made a noise, instantly rubbing against her hand more. The other ball virus moved forward, deciding if her sister was okay with this person, she was too. She rubbed against Xylia's hand. Finally, Xylia offered her hand, and both little viruses stepped on. Xylia lifted them up and smiled at them.
Cura had been standing with Mary at first, unaware that Xylia had stepped away.
"Look you guys. I understand you have a feud to Settle, but now doesn't seem to be the time to deal with it. There are innocent people out there, Xylia isn't exactly the Combat Type, but I know that we need to try and help some of them. If you can help escort Xylia to safety, I'll help aid in getting people out of here as a return favor."
She looked behind her, expecting Xylia to object. However, Xylia wasn't there! Cura turned all the way around, before spotting Xylia squatting over something. The Candevil facepalmed.
"Xylia, What are you doing?"
That's when Xylia turned around, the two viruses in her hand. Cura's eyes widened. She walked over, and looked at them and the smile on Xylia's face. The yellow one hopped up on Xylia's shoulder, and hid behind her beautiful, silky pink hair. The red one stared down at Cura, questioningly.
"Who... Are they?"
Xylia looked thoughtful.
"The cage they were locked in said the red one was Rageful and the yellow was stupid bashful. But I don't like those names! I've renamed them! The red one is Maya and the yellow Serenity!"
Cura looked dumbfounded. The Viruses IMMEDIATELY took to Xylia. Most Viruses in cages were there hostile and violent. At least in the store she was trapped in, before she escaped.
"Xylia, they can travel with us for now. But We'll have to talk about this later..."
Xylia walked over, two new companions in tow. She thought for a moment, before exclaiming to the Mary.
"We should help the others outside first. Get people off the streets... If we put someone on the roof with Cura who can poke the thingies outside, and gives us an aerial view, while two others use the streets to pick off injured ones by Cura's fire, working as a team to clear the streets and check buildings for survivors and those that need help. We can use this building as a base. Fortify the glass walls with bookshelves, and get people upstairs or in the basements to teleport out. There were stairs by the counter that lead to a teleporter. How does that sound? We clear streets one at a time, building by building..."
She trailed off, her face thinking deeply, as if remembering something. Cura stared at Xylia, mouth agape. Since When did Xylia think so tactfully? O.o
"Xylia... When did you learn to think like that?"
Xylia seemed to lost in thought to hear Cura. So Cura waited on someone else to respond.

*GROOOOOOOOOOAR*
The sound of battle outside could be heard. Nightshade was doing a gret job in keeping the reaverbots as well. Suddenly he was smashed trhough the door and into the room with the other two navis. One quick roll and he was on all fours, channeling Greiga's powers, with his right hand turned into the famous GBuster. Firing away a hail of bullets, the Zoanoroid completely shredded the reaverbot that was trying to get in.
"That's great and all..." He growled, charging yet another of those pesky robots and smashing him into a wall with one of his trademark kicks. "But we have a little problem. Little Altair here is having fun playing hostage taker, and while I would usually trust a ONB official I seriously doubt she can help with these while she is doing that."
The juuka used both of his hands to block a punch from one of the bigger ones that were trying to break inside, the floor beneath him shattering under the impact force of the blow. "So if you would convince her to free up my girlfried, that would be very appreciated. Especially since she is six times stronger than what onb lady thinks she is and can actually help support us."
Roaring at the reaverbot, Nightshade planted his foot into the robot's chest and ripped its arm off, proceeding to smash another guy with the severed limb soon after. Backflipping twice, he landed next to Mary, his right hand turning into a LongSword.
"But if you like being down a fighter be my guest. We can all die now and this'll be the end of it."

...the last time this had happened, it didn't truly come home to roost, and it seemed to simply die-down itself. Why here, why now? What was the purpose of this impromptu invasion?
All questions and observations that Resonance, who takes his most common place in the shadows, runs through his mind. His motion comes out without a sound, and even the light itself bends around his shadowed form in such a way that he remains virtually perfectly cloaked; a testament to his reputation as a stealth-oriented Navi. The streets are in chaos, and situations are grim all around, but Resonance's attention is elsewhere for now. Standing in an alleyway, Resonance watches the sky instead of the ground, looking to New life above with deeply rooted suspicion. The power-players of the team even now are performing their operations, but it just feels like they're walking right into a set trap.
For now, the goal is to aid those in need. Combat Navis always arrive to these situations in packs, so he's not worried about having his connection to Genesis and the unnamed Navi revealed, assuming it could still be considered a secret after the meeting with the strange, metallic snake. But for now, waiting on the opportune moment to move would be the highest priority in this battle.

PlagueMan.ERR
Traveling by shadows was a different experience from traveling by broken gateways. The process involved quite few wrong turns and diverted operands to follow, and much less bumps and collisions along the way. It was also colder, like rushing through the darkest confines of an unforgiving soul.
When Resonance first stepped out, it was a foreboding site to take in; the blue skies were blotted out by airships, and specs of movement, some larger than others, as the assailing reaverbots fell from the sky. Through Resonance's own sensers, PlagueMan felt the light refracting around their body, and knew that, for the time being, to those less studious than others, they were hidden. PlagueMan's own incomprehensible, unpredictable code could be an issue in remaining that way, but, he's known his own signature to appear on the other side of the world than where he actually was, before. The nature of his composition would make it difficult for anyone using more advanced methods of targetting to get a lock on them, which, interestingly enough, enhanced Resonance's own recon abilities.
A few seconds after Resonance stepped out, though, the sudden feeling in the air hit him. Raw, unbridled malevolence, like a beast locked within a cage, raging to get out - he physically felt more than sensed the pull of that unbridled rage, and knew instantly what it was that was calling out to him. Melded as they were, PlagueMan's own memories and thoughts were intertwined with Resonance's, and his host's insight on the situation was vast.
! Resonance . . . do you feel that? Nearby, that building over there. Surely you can feel that pull?"

Suddenly, Nightshade flew past the cloaked navi, slamming into a nearby wall of a nearby building. The juuka barely had time to brace himself before a projectile reached him and exploded the side of the building he had been slammed into.
Thankfully, he still had those preloaded chips in his code Blues gave him. Still...even with all his power, he was still one versus many. Nightshade hopped off of the wall, the Barrier he had raised to protect himself from the blast fading away. Without noticing, the cat navi landed right beside Resonance after dodging yet another attack of the Reaverbots. On his knees and with his left hand on the ground, the invisible navi would have a great view of the various features the form that the Avatar of Greiga gifted.
Nightshade panted. The situation was not good. The Reaverbots had already invaded the buildings they tried to take shelter into. Not only that, but he also had been separated from Xylia and Mary. He would need to hurry back to the two before it was too late.
"Darn, how many of those things are here? Where the hell are they even coming from!" The zoanoroid muttered. "OUT OF MY WAY!"
With angry roar, Nightshade hopped on all fours, raising up his right hand which had turned into the famous GBuster. The juuka opened fire, hoping to create a path for himself back to Mary and Xylia.

....unnatural. The last time that this/i] happened, it was because someone was literally toying with time and space. They don't just exist naturally, they're made. So why was this one made? And by whom?
Resonance: (...it's called a Juuka, an unholy cross of a Navi with the data of a being that should never have existed in the first place.)
OOC: Any text in parenthesis are directed to/can only be heard by PlagueMan)
Resonance once again looks up to New Life before glancing towards Nightshade, his fists clenching in anger.
Resonance: (...but why now?)
The memories of this horrendous fate plays out in Resonance's mind, appearing to PlagueMan like a slideshow. Mika, Silare... himself... this was a curse on Navi kind, and the desire to destroy it now rises in the Generational's heart. However, his mission and duty quickly leash this rage and fear.
[smear:666655]Resonance: (It doesn't matter. We have a job to do.) [/smear:111199]
While still hidden by the shadows, Resonance's dull golden armor phases into a deep blue tone as his entire form darkens even farther. His every motion moves no air, his every footstep makes no sound. In this state he's little more than a ghost, moving with impunity through every moment that passes. Now prepared for his operation, Resonance moves.
Faint green sparks rise from a troop of reaverbots behind Nightshade, and one by one they fall lifeless to the ground. However, protecting the Juuka wasn't the plan by any means. Instead, Resonance takes a different vantage to watch the situation unfold and try to gather exactly what's happening, as well as where he'd be most effective.
