As asymptote jacked into the network, he looked about simply with his two bloodshot eyes. No navis in sight and certainly no viruses to send him into a blind rage. Hmmmm. Seems like a good place to catch my thoughts... The hulked out navi mumbled to himself, closing his eyes and letting out a deep breath.
You sure you're okay Asymptote? You've been quiet since...what happened. his Netop would ask, keeping a close eye on his navi, knowing full well that he needed to keep the navi on a short leash for now. Just...need some time...to adjust...though most navis these days don't seem to have netops with them. Times have changed since you were a kid.
It wouldn't be much before the bulky navy would realize he had stepped into a strange part of the net. The floor was covered by a thin layer of viscous purple liquid, almost ooblek like. It was slightly fizzling at his feet and the level was slowly rising...
Asymptote raised an eyebrow behind the mask, staying standing as he looked down at the fizzing purple liquid. He took a couple lumbering steps backward before thinking about what kind of part of the net he had managed to land himself in. Joseph. Don't think I'm in Kansas anymore. Asymptote joked, poking at the ooblek.
Asymptote looked up as the voice echoed about him, he could only chuckle at himself as he thought of how to handle this situation. Glitched is one way of putting it. I prefer to call myself...an experiment. Much in the vein of, say, Frankenstein's monster. He replied, he didn't try to move. He didn't try to fight what was going on. He accepted it as another part of the weird wide world web he was part of.
Asymptote. Who are you talking to? Joseph asked audibly. His voice echoing about from where Asymptote stood. I don't know. I'm sure we're gonna find out sooner or later. Asymptote dryly replied.
From in front of Asymptote, the goop slowly swelled upwards, before slowly moulding and taking the shape of a reptilian being. A mixture between a lizard, dino and dragon, a snout with sharp fangs was the first thing that solidified. Two toxic green eyes, pupil just slits, bore into the bulky navy as a nimble body of amethyst scales took form soon after. A pair of three fingered claws and a tail grew from the stump in seconds. From the waist down the goop seemed to remain somewhat liquid. Two legs could be distinguished, but seemed completely liquid, losing themselves in the sea of poisonous goo.
"Greeting. Name's Thorn.tx. People call me Poison Dragon or Pure Poison Navi. Feel free to ask me for an autograph." The dragon spoke with a mischievous grin on his face and a cocky tone.

Asymptote seemed to have taken offense to the comment about being lobotomized. Yea, I get that. I try to keep myself under control. My netop helps with that. He commented as the puddle of goop began to start reforming into the shape of a navi, he was quite intrigued at how he seemlessly formed. The massive navi crossing his arms and nodding at him.
Thorn.tx...I don't think I've ever heard your name before. But anyways, I suppose introductions are in order. My name's Asymptote.exe, and unlike many net navis, I have an operator. Asymptote began, as a screen showed up next to him, a man of thin and unimpressive build's face showed, he pushed his glasses upon his face and gave the navi a simple smile. And I am Joseph Sine. Nice to meet you, Thorn. I'm sorry if we've never heard of you before. My navi was experimented upon not long ago and I never could catch up with the news, my students were really into it as well, but I never could make out their chatter when they were all going at the same time.
Thorn's legs finally took shape as he severed his bond with the poison on the floor. The goop solidified in two digitigrade three toed feet. The dragon slowly creeped over and coiled himself around Asymptote. For now, the poison he was made of didn't seem to be dangerous, although it would be clear by now that the dragon was a Darkloid, and a very powerful one.
Thorn squeezed the other navi lightly before giggling and waving at the netop. "Don't worry about your guy I have complete control over almost all that is poisonous, he'll be safe. Hell, I could give him a better look even..."
As he said that, part of his body seemed to meld and spill over Asymptote. With more goop being drawn from the floor, the bulky navy had his whole legs swallowed by the substance. The goopy liquid seemed to grip at Asymptote's legs, before reshaping into a pair of clawed feet just like Thorn's own.
"See? Much better in my opinion."

Asymptote didn't even have the chance to gasp before he was coiled about by the interesting navi. He was however, sure about what he had gotten himself into. And he was feeling less and less confident about what could happen, and knew full well the potential danger this situation fielded.
Y-You're a darkloid...aren't you? I managed to catch a few articles about them...but I never thought one could be so friendly. Joseph asked, anxious but curious at Thorn getting so close to Asymptote...but as far as he could tell...the darkloid meant absolutely no harm thus far. Asymptote inhaled deeply as he could feel the poison and the navi so close...but he could tell from how Thorn was acting, much like how he could tell from his operator's expressions, that so far he meant no harm. Even with the odors of the poison in his virtual lungs, he wasn't going to do anything brash.
He was calm until Thorn started to mess with his coding. His coding however resisting against Thorn's posions somewhat, the nails starting to fall off at the hinges, the feet that formed around his peeling away like oozing scabs, coding bleeding from them as they fell into the goop below. Unfortunately, whoever did this was good with programming. I'm "locked" into this form thus far and no matter how many times people mess with my appearance, I am unable to change it, even minutely. Just try to avoid my core, if you would. One wrong move and I could self-delete.
"Aw no fun..." Thorn muttered seeing as he couldn't play around the weird mosnter as he would have liked. He turned over to the human.
"How rude!" He mocked, snickering. "Not all Darkloids are what you think we all are. Some of us can actually control their urges and their DarkSoul."
Thorn seemed to settle down in that strange huggle of his, not a care in the world. "Uh. Weird story you have." He told the other navi. "At least you did not had all the bones in your body pulverized Although...I know of a trick that could work."

Asymptote simply shrugged his shoulders at the darkloid. Ain't my place to let ya have fun sadly. Whoever worked on me had darn good hands. And knew exactly what they were doing. He simply said towards Thorn, the navi wondering what he could do to appease the navi in turn.
S-Sorry. I only know what the articles told me about them, even the legendary ones like Shademan, Laserman, the like. I'm sure there are others, such as yourself. Joseph would reply in turn, afraid of angering him. I only hope that we can learn from each other if we keep talking like this.
Asymptote would nod in turn at Thorn, he didn't seem to mind so much the "huggle" that Thorn had him in. Mmmm...that's a rough deal. Though I suppose that explains the whole "liquid-shape-shifting" thing. Though it seems you've been getting along alright, all things considered. I can honestly feel how much power you exude.
Thorn snickered. "I could do it before too. I am made of nothing but Poison Data. Getting my body smushed sometime in the past only helped me." His snout would turn into a grin when the human spoke again. Squeezing the other navi a bit tighter, he inched towards the screen.
"Are you so scared because I could easily kill your friend here?" He playfully teased. "You know he could have died the moment he stepped into me? I can control how toxic my poison can be. Right now, it's been neutralized but it could turn so acidic it melts him. No worries though. It seems we both like our current situation and I am not one for sensless murder. I'm a darkloid with class you know?"
With a crap-eating grin plastered on his muzzle, the little dragon allowed Asymptote some breathing room, although he did not interrupt their improvised huggle. While the monster didn't seem to mind it he loved being in control of the situation.
"So, what business bring you two weirdos here, usually this is a mostly aband-"
The purple navi snapped backwards, his grin turning into a vicious death stare. A virus had tried to sneak up on them. However, as soon as it had stepped into the pool of poisouns mud, Thorn seemed to be able to pinpoint its position with incredible precision. Agonizing squeaks echoed around as the virus seemed to be slowly consumed by the substance. The squirming thing spasmed around no longer able to escape, while Thorn let out a low growl and raised one of his claws up, the poison around the virus rising up, towering menacingly over him. Balling his fingers into a fist, the poison was commanded to engulf the poor guy. A bunch of seconds passed and the wiggling bulge of poisonous goop holding the virus stopped its muffled squeals and ceased any movement before deflating back into a smoot surface.
After a few more seconds of awkward silence, Thorn turned back over to the human and cuddled himself back up onto Asymptote.
"Sorry bout that. I am one that doesn't like useless interruptions. Viruses like that one seem to love pissing me off. Sneaky things they are. Anyway, as I was saying: What brings you two fine fella here? This area is not that famous for navis to jump in. Well, considering how my new friend here looks like a franke-normalnavi I can kinda guess you want to avoid too much attention."
It was somewhat amusing to the darkloid how docile the navi in his grasp was. "Why don't we sit down? As I said, my poison won't hurt you. As per your look...I could draw a smiley on that mask. I'd need only a shapie. I am sure you'd be so handsome afterwards all the ladies would fall in love with ya." He concluded, snickering.
From what Asymptote could tell, Thorn appeared to be of somewhat young age. His mischievous yet playful attitude did not seem a facade, and he certainly wasn't bothering to put up an act. The reason of him approaching the two that way and cuddling up to Asymptope was still a mistery. Sure enough, the Pure Poison Navi didn't percieve the monster as a threat and seemed somewhat relaxed.

Joseph simply paused at Thorn's words, the navi was most assuredly not wrong. He was afraid he'd lose his partner. He was afraid of what Thorn could do to Asymptote without even trying. He was simply afraid of what could happen if Asymptote stuck around with Thorn, but he closed his eyes and simply sighed. He thought about jacking out asymptote for the moment. But as Thorn spoke, it was clear he had no "violent" intentions against Asymptote.
But before Asymptote could speak, Thorn showed himself off. The virus that had wondered into the area, he sprung into action as soon as the virus had stepped onto his poisonous self, it was dead before it could do anything to protect it's self from the attack. Becoming engulfed as Thorn "ate" the virus with little effort. It was almost a little gauling he had attracted such a powerful navi to him. It showed what kind of powers he himself could gain as he grew. Not that he could do what Thorn did, of course, whoever built him like this had him as a more "brute force" navi than anything.
Asymptote simply nodded his head as Thorn got all cuddly again. He sighed as he was right on the dot with what he had said. Yes. You would be very much correct in your assumption. I suppose Joseph jacked me into the wrong port or something. I must have wound up in your territory by mistake, though I suppose it is not as unpleasant a mistake that could have happened. He admitted to Thorn, the navi slowly moving his arm to pat at the poison dragon's head, his hand about as big as the other's head. But he could only groan and roll his eyes at Thorn's mocking comment.
Thorn seemed to shy away from the petting, if only for a smidge of a second. When the hulking navi petted his head, the young dragon blushed lightly. No one had ever really pet him. It felt...weird...but also good.
Sensing the human's uneasy behaviour, and mostly wishing to know more about the navi he just met, the poison dragon finally freed Asymptote and would instead wiggle himself in his lap. Keeping his tail wrapped around Asymptote's waist, the bulky navi was now the one holding the dragon in his grasp. "So...how did it happen?" He asked Joseph, resting his back against Asymptote's chest.
Holding something like Thorn proved to be a quite fascinating experience for the few ucky enough to even safely touch him. Asymptote was holding something not really solid. It felt squishy, and squirming was ever present as the young dragon shifted around to get comfy. While Thorn would obviously draw power from all the poison around him, it seemed that he could actually survive separated from it just like that precise moment.
With Thorn's back lighy pressed against him, he could definitely feel a slow rhythmic beating of something akin to a hear. The poison dragon now seemingly felt completely relaxed. He was enjoying the attention Asymptote was giving him.
Asymptote almost let out something akin to a squeak as the navi proceeded to sit himself in his lap, the navi closing his eyes as the question as asked. How he came to be as of this point. Joseph would simply sit there as he let Asymptote take the reigns of how he came to be.
Alright. Let me just think back to it. Asymptote would begin, inhaling deeply. His hand gently rubbing along Thorn's head, a finger curling under the dragonic navi's chin, noting how...squishy he felt. As if petting a firm, liquid putty in his hands. Well...I've been with Joseph for the last twenty-some years to begin with. I was just simply a commercial NormalNavi, as my appearance kind of shows, the tattered remains of my old body-suit hang from my waist like a loincloth. He began recollecting his memories, he would soon shake his head.
Anyways...it happened a few months ago. The incident. Joseph was called into the principal's office. He began again, before Joseph interjected. I am...was...a school teacher at ACDC Intermediary. I primarily taught Math and the like, with Asymptote helping the students and their navis as needed. He was fairly proficient despite his lack of formal knowledge. Though fractions were his main weakness, even before now. Joseph continued, letting out a chuckle. Asymptote grumbled as he scratched under Thorn's chin just a little more firmly, thumb gently rubbing along the top and back of the poison dragon's head. And you were always lousy with functions, I always had to bail you out of those. Asymptote interjected in turn, the navi letting out a sigh before continuing.
Anyways. The principal gave Joseph an ultimatum. Upgrade me to a custom navi, or be fired on the spot. Something about "NormalNavis being unfit to be a teacher's assistant" or some bull. In hindsight, we should have expected something was up. Even if he has always been...eccentric. Either way, Joseph gave my PET to the fat bastard, and unfortunately, I couldn't see the face of my captor. The one who experimented upon me. Though...the voice was high. Feminine. Like a young girl's. I was strapped into a table and injected, cut up, pummeled and otherwise had many sharp objected shoved into my body. I blinked in and out of consciousness as time went on, when I finally saw Joseph again....I screamed out in pain. I screamed in happiness to see him again. It had been about a day since the "upgrade" was installed. And I...was like this. My mind -had- been lobotomized to a point. But somehow, I recovered somewhat. I regained my mind and my voice before long.
