Dread Joker @ Unity Proxy
He had already begun to map out another strategy as the Gravity Beetle's bravado reached his ears, and he was just about ready to fly into the offensive once again. Then, however, the same feeling that gave the Gravity Beetle pause washed over him, and his face froze in near horror.
His vision broke down into the Grid, before instantly giving way to individual code siphoning through the air. Greater than simple changes in their source code, the very 1s and 0s making up the parameters of their parameters were being rearranged at an alarming rate, even Joker's own incredibly dense mass of bugged data proving vulnerable. His code could only be modified by one source, and that was of his own volition; it was too compacted, too complex, and its composition was utterly unknown to anyone else, much less the knowledge necessary to program it. What was this?
The analytics systems could suspend moments in time across eons, and he carefully studied each and every piece of code flying across Electopia as he could see it, watching the code within the environment around himself, the Gravity Beetle and everyone he could see within the building beneath him as it shifted.
Satellite Access . . . Download framedata of Electopia from specified frames . . .
The change happened swiftly and nearly instantaneously, but, with his analytics, he could go back and watch every single nanosecond of time and every bit of code as it was changed time and time again. As time reverted to normal speed around him, Joker all but collapsed, the Crimson armor coating his body dissipating into his form. Had it just been the area, he would've been fine; if he'd established a stronger connection with the Satellite before finalizing, downloading snapshots of half of the Net in its whole wouldn't have been an issue, certain individuals notwithstanding . . . he didn't do that, though, and he'd expended a little bit of power fighting the Commander, as well. In a word, he'd exhausted himself. Such a large access of suspended frame data was straining . . .
. . . He'd acted nearly on instinct, detecting the rapid change of data flow and its effects on his analytics, and had expended a lot of energy over the course of a few seconds. Way more energy than he normally expended at once, especially on such a low resonance with his Satellite . . . 200% wasn't optimal for that much effort. He cursed under his breath, full aware that the Gravity Beetle could see him in his weakness, but, he barely had the strength to stand, yet.
"Y-yeah . . . that's one way to put it, but, yeah . . . I felt it."

"I take it all parties noticed what just happened? Because I have some pretty bad news for you all."
It was Trishula who arrived after they had concluded. It was something that they had all noticed and something that they had quickly begun to analyze as a result. But they had obtained information to go alongside this sudden happening that just took place. And it appeared as though things had gotten much worse very quickly. So quickly in fact that they hadn't the time to exactly prepare for it, so may as well lay it out for them to all know now.
"Things have apparently gotten pretty intense in Netopia. They had gone into a quarantine to prevent a strange outbreak that had happened to their network, a quarantine that was recently broken and the subject in question fleeing their network. This on top of numerous other revelations that compromised us, but that isn't important right now. In short, the navi responsible has made it here and has already been on the move elsewhere. We presume it isn't a trait that he naturally carries, but he served as its catalyst all the same right now. On top of this--"
The sky had darkened. Which was impressive given that New Life was already in the air. And they would notice why very quickly in fact. There was some sort of... aircraft? Hovering above their headquarters. More than one, actually. There was an entire fleet of them, all heavily customized with a unique signature that seemed to denote some sort of eye. The fleet was steadily hovering over them and expanded out even past them, reaching beyond the Forest Network over to Element City itself. For it to get by unchecked until this point was possibly because of what had just happened across Electopia.
"I believe we have work to do."
Something was dropping down from above as Trishula finished his sentence. They were landing on top of New Life and falling down to the world below if it missed them. Figures that all held an iconic red eye, like a cyclops of sort that gleamed ominously. Reaverbots...

Dread Joker @ Unity Proxy
Joker glanced up as Trishula stepped onto the scene, forcibly standing to avoid any other shows of weakness. He winced, but, his energy was quickly returning to him, the satellite and his own personal reserves sending its constant trickle back into his form. Something was going down in Netopia? Was it in anyway connected to the happenstances of the border crisis a couple days back? A contact of his had been called in to assist with the Netopian efforts, but, he'd made a point to keep him busy . . . perhaps he'd have more information if he'd allowed otherwise?
He couldn't think much on that, now; there was a whole other problem. Whatever it was that had just washed over the Network had masked all other influxes of foreign code with a rapidly changing code affecting the environment; anything could've been snaked in with that much time. Just enough time to set up an event underneath everyone's noses, when any other code coming in would be subject to the same effects; with all of it running the same code, no one would notice the difference. From the darkened skies, with the ominous red eye lit, the Reaverbots rained.
They weren't immediately recognizable; he knew the symbol, of course, but, the separate models were another thing entirely. The massive amount of data the satellite possessed was extensive, but, data available on the Reavers was limited. They'd apparently attacked on a much larger scale before his creation, and were only recently repelled; he didn't have much more on them. The opportunities this offered for data collection was exciting.
"I'm not back up to full, yet, but, I'll get better as the fight goes on." As a sort of side thought, he quickly but carefully extracted all of the left over crimson out of the air and off of the Gravity Beetle, as well as out of the ground and their surroundings, into his form, trying to constitute for energy loss. He'd be back up to average force in due time, and could easily Resonate again, soon. With all of the ships present, and all of the creatures falling from the sky, his analytics were spread out and in overdrive, reticles popping up in his vision as statistics were pulled from the individuals as they fell from the sky.
Unity, how are you feeling, in there? Do you have much left in you?

As Joker asks, he feels a sudden surge of energy as the gray field around him pulses and begins to rotate even faster, even farther enhancing Joker's strength and speed.
Unity: Thank you, Mr. Joker. I'm fine, and I look forward to giving everything that I have alongside you!
The Dread Joker would feel Unity's resolve through their current link, as well as his focus on the targets at hand. He wouldn't give in or let himself collapse, not while this Navi that he'd newly learned such respect for still stands.
Gravity Beetle turns his attention to the sky, looking over the oncoming force for a moment. He then glances towards Trishula, then over to Joker, his eyes narrowing.
Gravity beetle: They're not just here for chaos, they're here for a reason, and we need to figure out what it is before they reach their goal. Joker, you obviously possess advanced scanning ability, so I want to know everything that you can offer. Trishula, I trust that you know what to do. And for both of you....
Gravity Beetle smashes his fists together and rears his horns to the sky, snapping them open as a tiny void forms in the center, obviously drawing in energy at a tremendous rate.
Gravity Beetle: ...do not get too close to me!
The expansive void in the sky dies down as Gravity Beetle thrusts his arms to the his sides, taking a powerful stance. At this point it would be obvious that the gravitational pull that he now exerts is becoming something truly amazing. Those nearby would almost feel as if Gravity Beetle's newly formed gravitational force rivaled that of the network itself in a localized area as a handful of the small, nearly powerless reaverbots would find themselves falling sideways into the still-forming gravity well, where they are promptly compacted to a near atomic scale.
Using all of his power, Gravity Beetle begins charging up every bit of power that he has.

Trishula nodded, turning to face their new foes. The smaller ones were sucked in easily enough, but there were several who held their ground. Some simply raised their shield, staying rooted as they started to walk ever so slowly toward them. And there were green and pink ones that looked more humanoid who were resisting the tug, but were being slowed down because of it.
The ships also opened up again, this time dropping what appeared to be bombs down. But to make matters worse there was also one massive reaverbot that was simply hanging in the air, an orange-red that had gathered what looked like a storm cloud around it. And then it unleashed a hail of lightning at them haphazardly yet precisely, aiming to take them down as Trishula aimed his arms, returning fire instead. His salvo met the lightning, causing them to explode in the air and the expansive explosion covering the first shells that were dropped from the airships as well.
"I'll deal with it and the attacks from above for now."
Gravity Beetle needed time to finish that gravity well, so he would get their attention in the meantime, jumping up as he transformed once more and shot off into the sky to engage them. A volley of shots were fired at the large one, several more at some of the closer aircrafts to drive them back a bit as they started to focus on the Commander for the time being. Sounds of combat and some explosions could be heard inside New Life as well, but so could a swift blade. The leading commander was fending off those who got inside of the base for now.
While the pink and green reaverbots made their move, starting to charge forward before they disappeared. Joker's analytics would let him know they were cloaking themselves, though it was playing with a bit of a delay on his screens. The ones with the shield moved them ever so slightly as they began to fire with their other arm at them, the battle taking off in full.

*It was a flash of black light that heralded his arrival. It had beamed down and then diverted, landing on top of the ONB HQ of New Life a fair distance away from the others. But the form that stood there after was one that some there had seen before and others hadn't. His eyes looked about to scan his surroundings as his abilities were at work, seeing the massive fleet and the army that was now unleashing their fire on this side. He couldn't help a small smile at least at such a familiar scene. Overwhelming odds from the surface, and yet the thrill of tipping the scales, the havoc that came from it... the fight that followed. But this battle held a purpose besides some test run. He waved his arm, a swath of black and crimson being set loose into the volleying rounds to meet them head on. Some would break past, but the ones that hit the Onyx Overlord had no real effect on him. The ground forces and the aerial forces, as well as the massive one overhead and the one darting about the air in battle with them...*
"I heard the commotion and figured you wouldn't mind a helping hand for once."
*Because how often was it that the ONB actually got help when they went into things these days? Usually it was just someone else coming to make their problems worse. So this change of pace was also a show of the change of times, because now was a time where they needed to do things differently than they always did. Up to and including discarding his old plans for what to do with the present regime, one and all.*

Gravity Beetle's charge continues. By this point, the void between his horns is now roughly the size of a basketball, and swallowing in even larger reaverbots than before. The spacial anomaly swells and undulates as it gluttonously draws in all that draw near, using their mass to increase the scope of its event-horizon. Gravity Beetle himself now shows signs of struggle as he holds the ever-expanding black hold in check between his horns, still pouring every bit of strength and power that he has into its continued growth.
...down below, another Navi keeps true to his word. Using the thrusters on his back and feet to hold his place, the Armored Destroyer repels along the lower-outside of New Life, gripping the side as he does so. Bit by bit he looks over the base, searching it for... something... as he does so. Along the way he keeps a careful eye out, watching the battle above as he moves and occasionally shooting down the random reaverbot that gets too close as he does so.
Finally he finds his opening; a spot in the battle above where the reaverbots are particularly plentiful. Taking a standing-position along the railing and keeping down, the Armored Destroyer drops his visor and elongates the barrel on his right wrist-mounted cannon, taking aim as he does so. Hiding amid the chaos of the scene and the continued onslaught of reaverbots, the nameless Navi fires a single round onto the roof of New Life; an explosive mine, lobbed near the group of reavers with pin-point accuracy. The mine, easily missed amid the havoc of the battle, bounces into place and explodes into a huge, white pillar of destruction. The explosion rises like a geyser, but also burns straight down, opening up a gaping hole in the roof of New Life where the majority of the reavers are gathered, granting them access en-mass to the ONB HQ from above as those closest to the blast pour in, pushed by other nearby reaverbots in the densely packed group.
Satisfied at this and hearing the additional intruder alarms going off inside, the nameless Navi repels back down the side of New Life to his target; the prison sector hatch that the Shadow Devil had emerged from when Gate took over the base. With a small charge, he fires another mine and blows a small hole in the hatch, creating an entry-point for himself.
Once inside, the Armored Destroyer looks around at the prison compound that he'd spent such a long time in, remembering the rising anger from the entire situation. Weaving behind the prison cells that hold Electopia's worst, stopping behind each of them, the nameless Navi makes his way towards the stairwell, ready to begin this mission in earnest.

Dread Joker @ Unity Proxy
Joker spanned out his arms in front of him, holding up his fists as he carefully surveyed the battlefield. The resounding answer of Unity from within his own mind was like his permission to go on as planned, and, as information washed in from the individual reaverbots all around, he carefully compiled it and sorted it as necessary.
His vision washed over the shielded Reaverbots, and he accessed offense-based files from across the satellite, more and more crimson data flowing into him from his constant source, reprogramming his data as he commands it. With each new Shielded Reaverbot that enters his vision, more and more data is downloaded and allocated into his offenses, condensing more energy reserves and more compacted data into his body for more dangerous, shield-crushing blows. Already, just from the multitude of Shield Reaverbots in his line of sight, he had downloaded much more data from his satellite to handle them than he had during his entire fight with the Commander.
His analytics didn't have much on the massive Reaverbot, floating in the air; he didn't have enough information on it, yet. Still, it was collecting a massive amount of energy, and the storm cloud around it flagged danger. He decided to leave that issue to the commander, as he said he could handle it, and focused back on the ground.
Aside from the shielded Reaverbots, the green and pink humanoid ones were slowed but otherwise resisting the pull. They began their charge . . . and suddenly vanished. He could still see them, at a slight delay to their movements, his vision about a second behind their actual movement. He'd need to recalibrate his targeting systems when handling them, but, he specialized in this sort of work. Instantly, more data came in from his satellite, aimed towards his personal targeting systems and helping to calibrate his analytics to better handle their stealthy approach.
"The humanoid ones can move unseen; the shielded reaverbots are pretty straightforward, with basic shield then fire tactics. I can still see the humanoid ones, but, on a slight delay, so, listen out for my warnings. They'll be a little last minute." To put emphasis on his words, he ducked to the side just as they opened fire, being sure to keep himself aware of all of his surroundings. With all of his data collected on the Shielded Reavers and the Cloaked Reavers, he had a strong enough connection to download additional files off of supplemented data from previous encounters - he downloaded as many defense files as he could, and then supplemented the last of his connection with large reserves of raw Crimson power. He'd already had a decent power boost from the Shielded Reavers basic scans, but, a little extra never hurt. It'd take a while for the full recalibration of his targeting systems so that the Cloaked Reavers weren't on such a delay, but, in the mean time, he could handle the crowd. This was, after all, where he specialized.
His crimson mist, not yet fully solidified into a crimson cloud, peeled from his body as he shifted, feeling his full reserves and more at his disposal, and he suddenly stomped his foot into the ground; two massive waves of crimson energy surged from his foot, splitting off to surge towards the group of shielded reavers closer to him, first, and another surging off towards the group closing in on the Gravity Beetle, the Crimson waves shifting in their arc to avoid the gravitational well he was creating.
Almost as soon as the waves of Crimson struck, they ionized and lifted up, using the dense quantities Joker had left in the air from the last battle to create little spheres of the volatile substance within close proximity of all of the grounded Reavers, including the cloaked ones, carefully placed to account for his delay, before the massively condensed spheres of corroded data exploded. The massive explosion from the crimson would rip right through basic shields, and no armor would stand against its ferocity. If the shielded reavers were still standing, that meant they had something more to offer than basic footmen.

Looked like there was someone else who was joining the battle as well. Just as he did and Trishula continued his battle with the thunderous calamity in the sky, two more had been dropped down. One looked rather like the humanoid ones from before, save one of his arms was larger than the other and also possessed the Reaver's Eye there as well. It was a red in color save for that arm, which took on a blue sheen instead. The other that landed was humanoid as well, his right arm what looked to be a massive gray rifle or cannon. It was much more humanoid in nature than even the other unique one, its body armor appearing more like a military outfit than not with the single eye being covered by a brown visor. The two took immediate action upon arriving, the one aiming his rifle at Gravity Beetle while the other made a mad dash toward Joker particularly. As his wave was sent out toward the ones coming at him it brought down the blue arm, meeting the wave in a fierce clash and diverting it backward and faster than it had initially been sent off, back into the wave that would have met the other squad as they slammed into each other, canceling out with a gust of wind to show for it.
The little volatile spheres that formed would still explode and catch them, but ultimately the army was still standing from this first impact and the new arrival was still running headlong at Joker even after the dust had cleared. It reared back its arm and thrust forward, shooting across the rooftop and surging at or past Joker if he was quick enough to evade it. But a cyan wave had coated its body as it shot by, a powerful force that would easily cut through any defenses Joker would put in front of it. He would notice some errors showing in his compiled data as well, as though it was either being corrupted or just plain being deleted. The reserves that he was using to steadily amplify himself was getting smaller, and the pace of which it was doing so was possibly related to the other Reaverbot there.
The one with the rifle had moved forward through the mayhem, firing his shot at last straight at the gravity well that was taking out enough of their troops to be annoying. And it flew straight into it, as one would expect the fiery red laser to have done. What came next was the problem. It had gone from being the size of a basketball to becoming at least five times the size of that in just the span of a second, likely causing troubles with controlling it as it were. Then it began to implode, becoming as small as a tennis ball before it started to expand at a much swifter pace, becoming five times larger than the size it was before it became smaller into an enormous size and becoming far more volatile and ready to erupt in a spatial catastrophe in short order. He turned on heel and aimed at Genesis next, firing two shots of the fiery red blasts at him as well. He held up his free arm, the Reaverbots seeming to begin moving back, as though the foot soldiers were gathering into a formation of some kind.
-
But their full formation was a bit scattered with the recent hole that was made in the HQ, causing many of them to drop inside as a result. It had ended up disrupting what they had planned to do with the full group, but they could improvise with the ones they had while letting the ones inside do their work as well. As the nameless navi made his way inside the prisoner's sector of the ONB HQ, he would notice something. The cells were in working order and perfectly fine, but... all of the prisoners inside are gone. They hadn't been released, yet they were all missing? None of their handcuffs were lingering either, so they were still on them as well. Something had gone wrong already it appeared.
And as he made his way to the stairwell he could hear a flourish of movement, swift and precise in a clash of what could be blades. It was clear that there was someone else inside of the ONB HQ, presently engaged at the time as well. It sounded like a mix of gunfire, flames, and blades...

A thunderous roar echoed in the air as bullet flew the distance from the tallest building right in the center of the reaverbot's formation. Upon impact with the groun, the bullet splitnered in lethal shrapnels andexpanded in a rather wide explosion whose shockwave would have enough force to shake the gates of heaven.
Rein's breathing picked up pace after being held for a good while. He grabbed the bolt and pulled upwards, then inwards. The simulated smell of gunpowder was always a pleasant bonus to his work. Keeping his trained eye to the optic and lining up the long range sights he made all the necesary adjustments for bullet drop and distance compensation.
Slamming the bolt shut, he reached for his comms device and sent a small message to Trishula.before regaining focus and observing the fight fromafar through his M91's 40x Scope.
"Kept ya waiting uh? Rein.sx, Nebula System Dynamics, long range fire support. Distance to targets: 674 IAR, Elevation 492. Active LOS killzone 115 cubic miles, with you in center position. Any priority targets, sir?"
Laying down on the rooftop with the finger on the trigger, already half squeezed, he awaited target designation.

The thundering above New Life, seemingly courtesy of the Reaverbots, seemed to suddenly amp up in intensity, if only for a moment. The storm itself opened, and a torrent of rain cascaded down from the heavens. It began at once, in a large area, the sounds of battle suddenly cut off with the sounds of torrential rain. But that was only for the briefest of moments. There was a rumble above, from the darkness, before a single bolt of lightning came down from the heavens, aimed at the rooftops of the New Life Building. No intense forms of damage came from the descent, but instead, as the bolt of lightning touched down, the glowing form of a woman appeared.
And then the bolt dissipated, no longer rquired as Kajira stood, her eyes narrowed at the chaos that was happening around them. "Field Commander," Kajira called to Gravity Beetle, noting that he was engaged in combat with them, but also someone that she trusted implicitly with the ONB. "Agent Kajira reporting. I came as soon as I saw what was happening," she called, not wanting to indicate that she had just been in discussions with Nightshade. That would come later, perhaps. Depending on what this invasion was, she would certainly need to report what she had found and it would very likely take a great deal of explaining to put everything together.
The information that she had gotten from Nightshade still resonated in her mind, and she gave Trishula a passing glance, before deciding that, at the moment, it was better to cooperate and work toward their common goal. She'd get the Field Commander's take on him after all of this was over. Right now, their entire base was under attack. She looked over, seeing the giant form of Joker nearby. Someone that she recognized with a slight bit of distaste. He had been the one who had not understood her 'design' and what it's 'function' was. She'd responded by using force that was likely excessive, but she hadn't been in a great mood that day and the giant had only exascerbated it.
However.
Right now he was seemingly dressed in an outfit of blues instead of reds, and he was helping them defend New Life. That alone made her turn her attention away from them and to the reaverbots. The entire scanning of the environment was less than a fraction of a second. Unlike Joker who connected with major databases or other Navi that had heavy processes to handle tremendous amounts of data, Kajira was merely streamlined through her power. Assessing the situation, letting the thoughts filter through and connect data points was a momentary motion. However, the presence of Genesis here was not something she had anticipated, and if she had the time, she would have done a doubletake. But for now, she had work to do.
Electricity burst outward from her in a triangular fashion and despite the fact that they wouldn't have been able to have been there otherwise, a trio of spires, their metal looking as if it were almost corroded due to the amount of electrical energy being pushed into them formed, a tenuous electrical link forming betweeen her and them. "Commander Trishula! I'll handle any lightning that thing throws down! Focus efforts on where you can!" she called out, before the woman began to take aim at the large Reaverbots that had landed. The one firing its gun around didn't really sit well with her, and the electricity that was thrumming between the spires and her body started to oscillate hard enough that she was building a magnetic field around her, before her hand extended, firing a bolt of searing lightning at the thing. It snaked across the rooftop, aiming specifically for the arm holding the gun- if she could disable that arm, she could buy them some time. And if Trishula allowed her to become a lightningrod, she could redirect that terrible power into the Reaverbots themselves.

Dread Joker @ Unity Proxy
Suddenly, two new entities entered his field parameters, and data flowing across his vision shifted as reticles formed over them, lines of data pulled off of their initial skins flooding across his visor.
With the swing of its arm, the first diverted his primary assault, and the both of them - including the army still around them - remained standing. The larger of the two took on a cyan hue and took to charge at him - his personal enemy, it would appear, to try and keep him from targeting the rest of them.
As the Reaver charged at him, Joker felt it. The connection between him and his purpose for living faltered, and, suddenly, much of his compacted data all but went up in smoke. Warnings popped up all over his data analytics, and he realized that not only was the data being removed from his systems, the rate of exchange between him and his satellite had greatly decreased. This development meant one of two things - either someone was tampering with his personal connection, or outright tampering with his satellite.
He didn't have much time to consider the possibilities, and simply willed his data elsewhere. The larger reaverbot charged through empty space, and Joker reforged himself just behind the reaverbot, having already summoned up what reserves of crimson he now had access to. "I do not yet know how you have accomplished this slight, but I have come to a conclusion for it. In order to go to the lengths to weaken me, you must be scared of me, or what I can accomplish . . . which makes you weak. This world has no place for weaklings.
His primary assault had been more of a gauge, to see just how tough the whole lot of them were. Now, that he had a better idea of what defenses and abilities they had at their disposal, and the time constraints put in by the fact that he was losing connection - and losing it fast - he had to go all out. The crimson around his body bubbled and steamed up, surrounding him in a cloud of shifting air, not unlike the heat waves caused on hot days. Instead, this air shifted with the raw static energy, and pure corrupted data he held at his disposal. Smashing the sphere of crimson in his hand into his fingers, the coalesced energy surrounded his hand, and he stepped forward to swing his new maul of a fist directly against the humanoid creature in front of him. As his fist swung, his true power rung out, the massive crimson data within his fist swinging and releasing a massive boom of energy, charging the air with bugged data that would assault all of his enemies with the same power that he struck against the creature's hide.
He could fight an army all the while only striking a single opponent. Crimson could bring a whole network to his disposal without him ever needing to move an inch.
Just like before, the massive wave of crimson energy suddenly ionized and lifted up, forming into condensed spheres of crimson data that spontaneously erupted across the whole battlefield, releasing a massive wave of Noise that would wash over all of the reaverbots, the sheer force of the bugged interference sinking in and disorienting them all. This could throw them against one another, or cause them to fall on their own blade - a battle best won was one not fought.
He pummeled his fist against the beast, each strike resonating outwards with the same force against his entire opposition as he smashed against it; once, twice, thrice more, each strike chipping more and more of his crimson essence onto the Reaverbot's outershell, and and each strike coating his enemies in its crimson glare, deteriorating and sinking within them to corrode their defenses.

*As all chaos was ensuing among New Life and these Reaverbots, the sky turned dusky, then into a fiery orange. Hurtling through the air, the Solar Empress made her way to the fray, a true meteor in action, Embera shot through a cluster of smaller bots before exploding in a massive display of might. A power she had been unable to truly flex as of late.
Embera: Man this feels GOOD! Hey guys! Which bot do I get to throw down with today?!

Gravity Beetle curses under his breath. Had the 'bot attacked him, it likely wouldn't have had a lasting effect on the plan. But by making a strike at the gravity well....
As the void collapses in on itself and suddenly becomes unfathomably dense, Gravity Beetle falls to one knee and struggles to hold the whole thing together. As it begins to expand and becomes a potential threat to those that he even now tries to protect, the ONB commander reaches his arms out, encasing his hands in a powerful gravitational field, and braces it as best he can. He wouldn't let his greatest effort turn into a means of destruction for those that he hopes to protect; that's not how this scenario can play out! The ONB commander's body surges and begins to rapidly shift hue. His body exudes a powerful gravitational force that begins to combat the unstable well trapped in his horns and hold it in place. With a grunt, Gravity beetle then raises himself back onto two feet and thrusts his head high, raising the black hole along with it.
Gravity Beetle: EVERYONE DOWN!
With one final upward thrust, Gravity Beetle releases the unstable gravity well skyward, freeing it from his control. Within moments it expands to massive size and begins to darken the sky. However, the exact scope of what it will now do left Gravity beetle's control in the moment that he released. The intent was to create a barrier to destroy reaverbots as they arrive, thus muting the invasion for at least a short time and providing those fighting with breathing room, but now only time would tell what the outcome would be....
----------
The nameless Navi stops as he hears the sound of battle above. His first instinct is to move in with his weapons blazing, but after a glance to the shadows he shakes his head. In a move that he can't help but hate, the Armored Destroyer makes his way back near the opening that he'd opened before and removes the grate to the ventilation system, dropping it nearby. He then returns to his original blast-point and lays a set of mines, allowing them to float in place for a few moments as he makes his way to an alcove near the main entrance and closes it off. A few seconds later, the mines erupt into a white explosion of high-energy output, creating a terrible racket and slightly tipping New Life due to its current instability.

*A few things happened in quick order. The arrival of that storm shaman and other figures, his eyes on the reavers in particular. He was analyzing the situation first to get a good idea of how things could play out with all parties involved. When the shots hit Gravity Beetle's well was when he figured that things were going to get a bit more heated here rather quickly. Then another shot hit, which meant someone also figured they should help out. Now he figured that their intention was to hit the formation of reavers to break them up... but since New Life was floating above the city...*
*Someone firing from atop the highest building would, for example, still wind up shooting 'through' the fortress to accomplish that. It seemed like the shot wasn't enough to go clean through however, so it had caused plenty of noise instead. It peeled his attention away long enough for the two shots to reach him, one hitting him as he blocked the other with his arm. It had a fair deal of weight behind each shot, but not enough where it would be problematic to take a few rounds. And then a rather familiar force crashed down as well, causing him to smile a genuine smile despite the absolute madness that coated New Life right now. Even in the face of their entire situation, it was never a bad thing for her to show up unannounced like that.*
"I was working on deciding that as it were, Embera. Probably the ringleaders for this little band of bots."
*Gravity Beetle shouted and Genesis responded, getting down as he also planted his hand on the surface beneath him. Ordinarily he would be doing this to attack and knew that if his enemies were cautious they would presume the same. But right now he was working on something else. Something that would take a bit of time as he worked his way through New Life's systems. There was something he wanted to take care of first. While the plan they made was sound going in, he had to make sure of taking care of the way that could end this in the most sudden fashion for everyone involved. He could have the time to pull this off with Embera around to bring her own brand of mayhem to their enemies on top of the power that Gravity Beetle lost control of.*
