*The area's biggest draw was a rose colored moonlit lake, having a few cliffs around it. It sat in the center of them all, allowing one to walk the pathway up and then look down on it from above their perch. Vibrant grass was all around this fallen paradise, light rapidly changing in this area as the eternal moonlight shone strongly and the rose colored light stood out most of all. The occasional red flash not from the moon would flash by, passing by as some of the old remnants continued to linger here to this day.* *After his work had been done at the border, he had made it here now instead to take a break. He didn't need to lay low, so all he would do is wait for them to let things die down and then go from there. He had let the others know, but their responses were varied. Zaven was already in Netopia and would meet up with him, Zerix was in Electopia so he wasn't going to be around, and Zane... hadn't replied, strangely enough. He might have been preoccupied given the current state of things and how the Inferno Knight felt about freedom in general. Not receiving a response from Void, Embera, or the Doctor wasn't all that surprising either. Besides, Embera most definitely was in Electopia and it wasn't as if they had an obligation to do anything if he sent a message. It was just something to let them know what had happened instead. He had jumped off from the side of the cliff and scaled it down to be closer to the lake, thinking about a rather annoying goose chase that someone put him on before involving riddles. He wasn't very fond of that, people who couldn't be direct about what they wanted or how they felt. But alas, he knew far too many like that at the end of the day.*

He couldn't help but wonder if the Navi he was seeking would be here. It wouldn't be too far-fetched, given recent events. It wasn't too much of a walk after all. Then again, it wouldn't be a stretch in the imagination either if he weren't here. Coming back to an area nearby wasn't always the right choice, after all. He had seen it turn out poorly for some before. But it seemed like it turned out fine, in this case. Atleast for my purposes. Given the person's strength, it probably did not matter much to him. It was still odd to think of, in all honesty. Someone known as the Onyx Overlord just casually walking before me. But that was the situation, as strange as it was. He hadn't really expected it to turn out like this.
"It was easier to find you than I had expected."
It was a casual tone, one that didn't really have any particular depth or meaning behind it. Nearby Genesis was a plain-looking humanoid Navi. Brown hair, falling in the front and tied into a small ponytail at the back, covered the Navi's head, with brown eyes looking at the Overlord calmly. Silver sets of armor were worn, for what could have been considered protection or design, while a black, shiny 'stick' was held in the newcomer's left hand.

*Hearing a voice was pretty surprising here. Not that it was unoccupied, he just wasn't expecting anyone here, an unfamiliar one at that. He looked over, taking in the appearance of the navi and the stick in their left hand. That wasn't a popular weapon choice for certain, a fairly uncommon one he could even say. Usually it was a sword of some variety, a gun of some variety, their mitts of variety as well, and then just straight up blasting others. So that one was already a refreshing difference, as it were.*
"I try not to hide very often. Not a lot of reason to unless my objective is to get some rest. But that usually fails anyway."
*Trying to rest in a secure location just led to various attacks on that location. But that was how it was when people wanted to find you and do you in. So he was much more fond of simply acting as he always would. If they wanted to come at him they were more than capable of doing so. But if they wanted to just pay a visit instead of trading blows, that was welcome as well. He was playing the waiting game right now as it were.*
"But it sounds like you were looking for me. What for?"

"Fair point."
He had to admit that either way, the Overlord was right. For a person like that, it wouldn't matter in the end. Especially not with what he got up to in particular. The armored Navi gave a small hum, his attention focused on the lake. It was a mesmerizing sight, he had to admit, and one that he was glad to take note of, shifting his gaze from the grass, before finally landing on the only other person he could see in the area.
"Truthfully? Nothing in particular."
Genesis had been more of a secondary motive. Primarily it had been to see this area. That had been his oath, his own promise to himself. To break free of the monotony, to see more than just an endless routine. He hadn't really expected to catch up to the one hailed Overlord. But now that he had...
"Hm. I suppose one part was to just see the one behind the rumors. The other was to spar against him. But... this place turned out to be a lot nicer than I had expected."
He took to sitting down, one legged propped so that his arm rested on its knee, the other laying flat. The 'stick' was still held in hand, the Navi having shifted gaze back to the lake. There was a small bit of emphasis on the word spar, hardly noticeable to anyone but those actually paying attention. After all, he didn't quite entertain getting into a death match. But fighting against one like that, just to grow and learn? It was still part of who he was. This, atleast, he didn't mind.
"We could still, if you want. I'd rather just do it away from here. Though, I can't imagine things stay quiet around you for too long."

*He listened to what the other one had to say, looking toward the lake after. He couldn't think of many who came looking for him because of those rumors. In fact in the last two to three years the last to ever have done that was a very certain firecracker named Embera. Funny how accepting someone despite their ulterior motives could change how things went for both sides of that particular meeting. Pushing aside those thoughts for now, there was another word he hadn't heard in quite a long time since he had earned this reputation of his.*
"If we were to spar we should do it away from here. There is no guarantee it could come out totally unscathed from us trading blows. I have nothing against it, though."
*Much of his growth came about from fighting people similar to how he was now. There were rumors and myths about those people that he once pursued. And then he managed to confirm whether they were true or false. And as he continued to do so, he eventually earned the title of Overlord. One over battle itself, who had conquered that which could not be conquered time and time again. While he was not unbeatable in any sort of way, he had managed to land in a position where there were few people who could or would even try to begin with. Save for the people he attacked who had no choice but to defend themselves now and the people who took up the wrong cause, it was a small batch who could really fight him toe to toe. Their convictions allowed them to fight him, but it did not allow them to match him. He would always meet those who were willing to stand firm before him at least, like the ones at the Netopian Border he just finished up with not long ago. But sometimes they would turn tail and run after taking a stand as well. That was fine too.*
"Cities will more often than not be repaired in due time if something disrupts it. But places like this? They would go unnoticed. So for places like this, it is better not to cause any undue damages here."
*He didn't take to sitting himself, instead reflecting just a bit more as he looked upon the lake. There were several other things he could recall from the sight. It was a beautiful one, but reminded him of several who passed now. He would always think back on them, from time to time. The once group of nine that was reduced time and time again as the years continued to pass them by.*
"Is there any particular reason for the pursuit of growth, then? That is what sparring is usually done for after all."

"It's a bit of a shame."
Places like these should be more taken care of, but weren't. Maybe that's what lent to its beauty though? He mulled over that question that the 'cyber-terrorist' proposed. It wasn't that complicated, in the end.
"Do I need one? Ultimately though, I suppose it's just for my sake. Partly, my programming. Other part, I just want to. Since it'll help me stay doing what I want. Because if I can't defend myself, wanting to be free ends up as a moot point, doesn't it?"
He replied easily, starting to stand up. He brushed over his pants, as though to wipe away the dirt. He spun his 'stick' in hand, looking at Genesis.
"Well then. Where do you want to take this spar?"

"That's more than enough really."
*Genesis had smiled at his response instead. No one needed one in the pursuit of growth. Much like himself, he had done so simply because he wanted to and because of his own origins. Though in the end that helped out in its own way, given his position now. Strength had many purposes, both inherently good, bad, and selfish at times depending on who was using that strength. But it was up to them to use their strength how they desired once they obtained it.*
"Netopia has a lot of cities and towns. I imagine Rammount City is a no go as well. So maybe somewhere out in those mountains instead?"
*There were far enough from this lake and away from the cities. Also away enough that even if things got a bit heated they wouldn't find themselves destroying some of the castles turned city. There were plenty of things that could get caught in the crossfire were he to cut loose again.*

He was making his way along, a bit later since he was checking out the sights instead of heading straight over. That was how Zaven rolled. They were probably used to his carefree approach about their relatively dangerous way of living. He had decided to act the part of the cowboy a bit more this time, having the little grass to mess around with in his mouth for a bit. Then ultimately decided it was dumb and discarded it. Though as he reached the cliff that overlooked the lake, he caught something else with his far eye instead.
"Hm? I spy with my little eye..."
It was a bit big, maybe twenty feet? Either way, it was lumbering its way over from the opposite side. It was slow and steady, but slowly making the ground shake as it did too. Regis and Genesis would begin to feel it shortly too, the oncoming weapon that was sent their way.

He figured Genesis would be a bit more understand to his reasons than most others. When people asked, they were in a bit of disbelief, wanting to know of something more grandeur, of a higher calling. But he didn't have that in him to know or try to do. And why should he? Not everything needed to be about something like that. Giving a nod, he opened his mouth to speak again, before blinking at the feeling of shaking. He turned his head, catching sight of something larger than average. Not the biggest, but still. And given its current trajectory...
"Maybe we have to put this on hold then. One of us seems to have a new friend coming."
The 'you' in his statement was not explicit. But the two knew that it more than likely had to do with the Overlord than it would a no-name like himself. Unless this was something new that was happening? Either way, it wasn't exactly good news on first glance.
"Think he's here just to say hi?"
That was probably not the case. It still never hurt to try and think otherwise.

*Always was something going on around here, wasn't it? If nothing else this was how he dealt with his own monotony. He didn't know what it was, but there had been that one time that someone massive had been friendly in that Golem guy. So he shouldn't jump the gun and assume someone was hostile... but after what happened at the border he probably was right to assume so if it was. Either way he should move from where he was standing at.*
"Only one way to find out."
*He jumped up, scaling the cliff and landing on the upper level now. Though he spotted Zaven because of that, they could exchange greetings later. Instead he was more concerned with seeing what was approaching the place now. And if it was a hostile, dealing with it in short order. They had just agreed not to damage the lake after all. It would be a tad unfortunate to end up doing so right after coming to terms on where they would be sparring at.*

Zaven jumped down, landing down on level with Regis with his arms behind his head. He was looking to see what was approaching them now as well, the figure being visible as the Onyx Overlord climbed up to get a look at this new addition to the area. A twenty foot tall monstrosity. A mechanical menace somewhat resembling a gorilla with a single crimson eye, it had an elongated back that formed back into what can be considered wings more than not. And wordlessly, while a shrill noise of sorts came from the machine, did it lift up both arms, opening the palms as it unleashed a hail of fire upon them, aiming to decimate the cliffside along with the other two in the area without regard.

*This did not appear to be a friendly. And it proved that when it aimed to open fire, a black energy blade coming to his hand as he spun it in hand like a windwheel. As the shots came, he deflected them all harmlessly back in the air, eyes gazing at his target now. He kept it away from the others and the lake, slowing the rotation as he caught the energy blade in hand. It had some cracks here and there, so the attacks themselves had at least some weight behind them. But not enough.*
"Looks like it's not friendly after all."
*He moved his cloak, vanishing into it as if he wasn't there. But he had warped, appearing beside it as he swung once with the sword and vanished, doing so in rapid succession each from another angle to attack the giant. But it didn't appear as though it was that effective either. Should he take another approach or something else... either way, he started moving further away from his starting point, making sure its next fire would be aimed elsewhere instead.*

"Shame that it caught us here then."
Even if it hadn't come for him in particular, it still was including him in this fight. So may as well fight back against it. He had prepared to handle the volley that was incoming, but it looked like the Overlord was taking care of that. It eased things over, atleast. On the 'stick', 2 white circles appeared, shimmering, as he held it forward, grip still near the top. The bottom of the weapon shined, before a blast of white energy rocketed forth from it. The Navi moved forward afterwards, stepping into a dash before leaping into the air. A blast erupted from his feet, propelling further as he went into a front-flip. The entire stick now glowed, as Regis struck out directly at the giant's head, before kicking away. He landed back onto the grass, still moving just in-case it was preparing to retaliate.

"Never a dull moment with this guy indeed!"
Just got here and folks were already shooting at them! That was what made being part of a resistance so fun. He drew two of his guns, the laser ones in particular and aimed downward, firing at the ground as the force propelled him upward, turning in the air to land back up top. From here he started to circle around, holstering those two as they gathered energy and drawing his other guns instead, firing from them both to bypass both Genesis and Regis to hit the giant target that was here. He needed time to prepare if he was going to go nuts on someone unlike some people.

Their attacks hit the giant to almost no avail, a small chink in its armor that it covered in no time at all with a well-paced recovery speed. And then it opened its hand again, this time power welling up at the palms before it started to fire at them again, the firing at least half a times stronger than the one that had come before it. If at first you don't succeed, try harder, some could say.
