"Yep, I knew I made the right call when I decided to make for Element City." Avalanche, a NetNavi modeled after the long extinct Smilodon, stated confidently as he nodded in satisfaction. His voice, the distinct sound of a teen aged male's youthful voice trying to deepen as the individual reached adulthood, carried more than a fair amount of enthusiasm. To match the tone of his voice, a broad grin was also displayed on his face. The joyful expression put extra emphasis on his prominent canine teeth which displayed themselves proudly on either side of his muzzle. Entirely caught up with observing his new surroundings, he failed to notice the occasional odd look he received. Some of these fleeting glances were more cautious than others, as their owners focused primarily on his fangs. Their presence could cause others to mistake the action for something more threatening. Admittedly enough, watching one of the most well-known predators of the long gone Ice Age display happiness so openly was an odd sight. However, some of his observers may well have been amused by the very same fact. Not that any of that would have mattered very much to Avalanche either way. After all, the teen aged Smilodon was more preoccupied with getting his mind back onto its original track. There was a reason he made the journey all the way to Element City, and that was to try to find a temporary job and earn some money during his stay!
Ideally it would be better if he could hold down a permanent job... But, he was largely undecided over what kind of occupation he wanted to pursue. There were fields he'd probably do decently with, such as working at a cafe. Or, if he wanted maybe he could try to learn some sort of trade and eventually open up a shop of his own? However, there were reasons as to why he was not fully committed to those options. One of the biggest reasons was that he had taken a liking to the independent lifestyle of being a freelance. He could go where he wanted for the most part and better yet, he could fully explore his interests or discover new ones without being pressured over it. Although, considering he was rather new to being a Solo Navi, he still had quite some ways to go before he'd truly get the hang of things. As it currently stood, he was rather inexperienced when compared to a seasoned traveler. If Avalanche planned on continuing with this sort of lifestyle, then it would do him no good to keep things as they were. One of the most important tools in a freelancer's belt was having the right connections. All sorts of information could be obtained through these networks, such as tips on unexplored areas or mentions of potential job opportunities.
"Ack! I don't have the time to play tourist and gape at everything I see! I need to get going, or else it'll get dark and I won't have accomplished a single thing!" Snapping suddenly out of his thoughts, Avalanche's mind returned to his present situation. But, before he could take off running through the streets, he remembered one crucial thing...his growling stomach. "Right, I'd better go see if I can find something eat. Hopefully it'll be something cheap, or else I just may have to hold off on lunch for a little longer." Giving the top of his head an embarrassed scratch, the light blue-ish white colored Smilodon started to head further into the city.

The city streets were crowded, yet a peaceful atmosphere lingered in every district. The town was very welcoming to visitors and as Avalance would soon find out, it would hold a fair share of restaurants to satisfy all the tastes. The only problem would be finding direction when getting near the Stadium. The more someone would walk towards the center, the more it would become a maze of buildings and streets. One thing was sure though: following the line of restaurants and NetCafes you would surely arrive to Stadium Plaza. And right there, in the middle of the many restaurants, the smilodon would find a small crowd of navis obstructing his path but not his view.
A fairly tall navi dressed in an elegant blue, white and gold uniform was zipping around some viruses. Upon closer inspection, some oddly intersting features would be noticed. The navi had claws for feet, while his silhouette would give off a mildly feline appereance. On his shoulder pads an emblem shined in the light: NeONB, Electopia's Police force.
The navi was fast. Extremely fast. It would flow like wind on the battlefield, leaving the viruses no chance. One would be ripped to shreds by his metallic claw weapons, another would get kicked so hard by the guy's clawed feet it was instantly deleted. He would dodge a fire attack from a Spikey, backflipping twice, while also leaving a small bomb near the virus, taking it out shortly after.
With the small ordinary problem taking care of, the officer would turn over to the small crowd congratulating his work. As he shuffled around shyly and embarassed, the smilodon would now be able to read his name and rank etched on his uniform.
'Inspector Nightshade'
The cat like navi would let out a relieved sigh after the crowd had gone away. Then, it would tilt his head puzzled and walk over to Avalanche.
"Uhm...escuse me, sir. I never seen you around here. Do you need help?" He politely asked, with a hint of shyness in his tone.

"If you could point me in the direction of some places to eat, that'd be great. I'm new around these parts, so I thought I'd grab a quick bite before doing some exploring." Avalanche replied as he answered the question thrown his way. Internally, Avalanche wasn't quite sure of what to make of being approached by someone in the police force. But, the chance to get some directions was something he considered a good thing. It was hard to navigate his way around through the densely populated streets, and not to mention, the fact he was clueless about where to go. Wandering about aimlessly could be fun on occasion, but not when he already had other plans. "I'm Avalanche, by the way. Gotta admit, you sure made quick work of those viruses. Been on the force long?" He asked after he introduced himself to the Inspector.

"Oh? Sure thing. I do know a few places where they have some really great restaurants. Now that you mention it, I wouldn't mind eating something." Nightshade replied in a friendly tone. "Call me Nightshade, I've been a member of the ONB for a while now."
A ping made the navi jump slightly. "Ah! Looks like my shift is over. Would you mind a second please?" And whith that Nightshade's appereance changed. The blues whites and gold of his uniform vanished in thin air, replaced by other more darker colors. A black undersuit, gray armor and green highlights all over. A tail could be noticed waving behin him. The data that made his ONB uniform compacted into a data cube that the navi grabbed and stored away.
"Ah, much better. As much as I like wearing that uniform, nothing is like my normal look. Anyway, where were we? Ah right, food. Follow me Avalanche. There is a good restaurant not too far from here."
