StrifeMan.EXE
{
--Appearance
StrifeMan is something of a horror all by himself. He stands at 6'2", mostly humanoid in shape, with the only deviance to his human appearance being his crimson tinted, ash coated skin; the broad, curved horns growing from his forehead; and the spade-pointed tail sprouting from the end of his spinal cord. His powerful muscles ripple with every movement, his shoulders lowered as though he carries a heavy burden, constantly, seemingly fatigued and at his wits ends - but ever stronger for it.
His skin is more akin to scales in some places, like along the tips of his fingers or ever the edges of his tail and around his neck, with glyphs carved all over his body. Little circles interlocked or overlapping one another, curved and straight lines connecting to the circles and other lines across his body, with other intricate designs traced all over his person. The small glyphs sometimes glow a deep purple hue, lighting his skin up in various places while remaining dark in others, and some even lift away from his skin to float around him while he fights, leaving little more than a dark imprint from where they detached from his skin. His angled, imperial face has a sharp nose, strong fangs protruding from his lower lip, and pointed ears to finish the terrifying visage. The circular patterns that cover his body start here, circling around one eye in a starburst before trailing down in a line to his neck. His stark, crimson gaze burns bright within the permeating shroud that his skin emits.
StrifeMan's upper body is completely bare, his arms rife with the circular and linear glyphs alike. His crimson chest looks almost caved in and carved out, like someone had taken a knife and carefully shorn the skin away from his bones, only for it to regrow properly in some places, and, in others, well . . . his skin outlines and indents around each individual rib, without making him appear malnourished. His strong bones seem to almost press against his rippling muscles, forcing their way upwards and towards the surface. His torso is carved with lines drawn from his waist that connect to a myriad of spheres, curves, and triangular patterns covering his chest, the intricate figures wrapping around each other and shading over enough of his skin to create images even out of the skin that actually shows - ever shifting patches of wailing spirits, ominous omens of evil and any number of ideas of catastrophe and curses.
Where a heart would be, instead, is a cavity that bores down into his chest cavity, spiraling downward into a large abyss carved deep into his chest, but, not quite all the way through. The dark abyss churns and spins indefinitely, ominously releasing little spurts of dark energy and crimson wisps every once and awhile.
Horrendous scars cover his skin, from torturous burn marks that mar his skin without disrupting the glyphs, patches of dry skin that look malnourished and almost flaking away, lash marks and even deep gouges rent into his flesh from his time on the Net, from both battle and his own machinations. Empowered as he is by his pain, StrifeMan is under constant agony from the wounds and scars he collects in combat and just day to day life, and wears them like trophies.
His lower body is covered by dark armor, fitting to the contours of his strong legs carefully. The dark, cloth-like material ripples and shimmers, with similar lines and glyphs covering it as his upper body, but, also flitting with the visages of horrifying spirits and beings pushing against the fabric, the disembodied faces and wails of beings from far beyond.
Crimson, shadowy smoke wisps away from his skin, permeating a sort of aura of despair and malcontent around his very being, shrouding his terrifying visage. Underneath it all, more terrible still is the fact that StrifeMan is lycanthropic. He possesses full control of his horrific curse, and can show his claws, fangs, tail and fur in any way he so desires; he often keeps his tail out at all times, and usually has his claws, if not an entire paw, present on either hand.
--Personality
StrifeMan and Shin are a lot alike in terms of personality. Both are intelligent, independent, cunning, determined and ruthless. However, whereas Shin openly accepts his fate as reportedly the "unluckiest man alive," StrifeMan is the digital manifestation of misfortune. Catastrophe and malcontent given form, StrifeMan is no stranger to the machinations of distraught and calamity, and actually welcomes it.
He has a rather grim, but ultimately straightforward and dynamic personality, much like his NetOp, and is prepared to do whatever it is he has to do to support Shin. He is ruthless, and his only care in the world is the person he has to worry the least about.
Of course, StrifeMan is also a sadomasochist, content on harming others for fun. This, paired alongside his depraved insanity, makes him prone to rants and raves to no person in particular, and makes him incredibly unpredictable. His power and preference within the dark corners of the world and his ability to control calamity itself makes him very arrogant, and StrifeMan is more than willing to slaughter on command or for pastime. His desire to feel and met out pain makes him a Navi without a care in the world, and is unafraid of the finite deletions or possible harms that might befall him - he is a predator, with extreme power, and he will express his dominion where he sees fit.
--Background
StrifeMan was built to be a navi who could understand, accommodate, accept and protect Shin, as well as give him an outlet to improve upon and expand his already powerful criminal skills. In his life time, StrifeMan has been at Shin's side through thick and thin, using his unique skill set and ability to control a very facet of life itself - luck - to help and handle any situation Shin puts him to.
When Shin goes out, StrifeMan assists him. The two act more akin to deeply bonded friends than two villains working together, though - they are more like a normal NetOp, NetNavi team. He was built to help Shin stand against the world, and he will continue to stand against the world and then some without hesitation.
His DarkSoul and needlessly violent attitude makes him an easy candidate for an Independent NetNavi, and StrifeMan has more than once carried out actions for Shin while masquerading as a Darkloid without a NetOp. Their unique bond makes StrifeMan's only chain and heel his NetOp, but, for the most part, his NetOp allows StrifeMan to do as he pleases.
It is this freedom that first led him to stumble upon the Dark Accessories that began to change his coding, and transform him into something much different. As his dark soul connected with and made paths between the Dark Accessories, StrifeMan's malignant nature seemed to only get more out of hand, and, slowly but surely, he turned from an incredibly offensive based Navi into a monstrous being that flits across the battlefield like a wraith in the night, and acts just the same within the Net. He stalks his prey carefully, and methodically, looking for the perfect moment to strike; his transformation has made him stronger as a whole, but, has left him quite different from when Shin first designed him.
For the longest time, the only thing that could've ever kept StrifeMan in check was his NetOp. After an estranged foray into the Undernet, StrifeMan was left for a full six months without any contact. The Undernet is a dark, desolate corner of the Net; the perfect place to stoke and grow the very kind of habits and attitude Shin tried his best to tame StrifeMan of. Without any contact with his NetOp,
StrifeMan has fully gone over the edge, and has reached a point where not even his faithful "master" can control his rampant, dynamic behavior. In his master's absence, StrifeMan has found freedom . . . and he is wont to keep it.
