[smear:FFFFFF]Planets, stars, galaxies, nebula. Even the greatest and most majestic of all things can seem small in the correct context.
This network lies in a realm far above any other that earth has access to; it is the network of a satellite that does not exist according to any official records. This network is massively difficult to reach for any Navi, unless the way is opened for them. And for good reason as well; the Galaxy Network houses the only known link to the Meteor Computer controlled by what is, perhaps, the most powerful being in existence: the world-destroyer known as Duo.
The network itself is a spectacular sight: nearly invisible pathways highlight the majesty of the cosmos in all of their glory. Earth itself is little more than a blue speck in the vastness of infinity, with an endless sea of light set to a backdrop of nothing making it seem insignificant at best. The glass-like roads all wind about space, creating amazing vantage points that overlook some of the most beautiful sights that the universe has to ofer, and eventually lead back to one spot; a large, multi-leveled planet-like structure floating in the vastness of infinity. This structure, nearly indestructible to all but the greatest of beings, serves as the connection to Duo's meteor, and has been the scene of countless world-changing battles in the past. At its tip, a single pylon rises from the surface of the sphere, granting Duo the ability to constantly monitor the earth, as well as the ability to speak with those whom he deems worthy.[/smear:BBBBBB]
Special Requirements: The Galaxy Network is an area that only those of V20 are allowed to enter without special permission.

<Satellite Access... Phenoix.exe... Granted.> <Connection Established.> <Commencing Transfer Protocols for Guest User Ruin.EXE> <27%...53%...77%...94%...Transfer Complete>
Ruin stepped out of the light pillar onto the transparent walkways of Galaxy network. The outskirts that they started in were minimal in pathway density, the various connections scattered out and connecting to the Meteor server that could be seen far in the distance. Ruin could feel the overbearing presence of the Titan Duo noticing him as the dark navi entered this space. Not one to be afraid, but it was hard not to notice. Ruin stepped out along the pathway a little more, looking about the vast expanse of the network. It was daunting in its size and unlike the repeating images of the skies on the normal net or static often seen in the undernet, the imagery all about here actually seemed real. It was astounding, frightening even, but also invigorating, to see this other place he knew only those with immense strength go to for their bouts.

[Warrior entering from Elbrus Range]
A similar protocol executed immediately after Ruin had entered the network.
<Commencing Transfer Protocols for Guest User JRayner.VR> <...Transfer Complete>
Warrior was less aware of the powerful presence in the area. The thought of standing in space without suffocating was enough to take in of itself, much less the realization of entities stronger than he could comprehend inhabiting these parts. He'd met a couple of those before and survived, but that's not quite what he was here for today.
His eyes continued to take in the marvel for a few moments before they were reminded why they had all come here: to find and shutdown Eden.
Warrior waited for Phenoix to arrive before making a move, though. It was best they stay together from this point on.

Of stretches of infinite space, stars, and satellites all around them, one stood brighter than the others. The Eden network.
In this expansive network, to enter a localized network was a zoom and a blur - for data could travel much quicker in the majesty of outerspace - for those heroes that sought the network to arrive, all they'd have to do was to think it.
The Eden network itself was dark, with several pillars of light, in all the colours of the rainbow. Twenty pillars total, Twenty One counting a central, pink pillar.
Otherwise, it was empty.

<Commencing Transfer Protocol for User Phenoix.EXE> <...Transfer Complete> <Connection Terminated>
"Been quite some time. But no time to marvel, we have a job here after all."
It was interesting to see the Eden network standing so brightly in contrast to the Meteor Server that housed Duo. With the Meteor server standing as a pitch void among the starry sky, the Eden network shone as if a glimmer of hope. Yet how ironic that something so hopeful could be a harbinger of destruction.
As is known, Phenoix willed the others into the network. A blink and a blur as it were, entrance to the local network of the weapon was simple, at least once you got to the Galaxy Net. They stood surrounded by the myriad of colored pillars, twenty in all, save the middle pink pillar.
"These pillars don't seem active yet, They must represent the elements that happen to make up navis most often. Not sure about this middle one, probably represents whatever Juno is...
I don't see an activator though..."
Ruin simply waited as he was transported into the Eden network. The pillars were intangible, nothing he could often work with. If they wanted to collapse the network he could probably pull that off, but no way he was getting out then. Suppose more waiting was in order.

<Protocol breach, attempting to patch....> <Protocol breach unpatchable, transferring....> <Commencing transfer protocol for user: System Admin> <...transfer complete> <Open connection to ????????.??? established>
A simple beam of light touches down not far from where Warrior and Phenoix stand. It quickly takes the form of a Navi of average height wearing purple armor and a white, flowing lab-coat. He appears with a serious expression, but his sharp gaze quickly fixes onto the two heroes, revealing a soft, in-control smile in reaction.
Gate.EXE: Ah, gentlemen. Here to put a stop to Juno, I presume?

One thing always led to something potentially worse. Potentially.
" If we were, I don't presume you'd be here to help. Am I wrong? "
He sure hoped he was.
Standing in the Eden Network, surrounded by pillars, Warrior, Phenoix, and Ruin were now confronted by Gate, who wasn't really considered an ally although they never really crossed paths. Not Warrior and Gate, that is.
Things would either become much easier or much harder now that he was here. And normally, in times like these, situations would bend more toward the latter.

Gate's calm, knowing expression doesn't change even slightly at Warrior's question, rather he walks forward and passes the questioning Navi on his way to get a better look at things.
Gate: Let's put it this way; the destruction of the earth and her networks doesn't exactly play into my plans.
Gate opens up a window, revealing limited access to Juno's networks.
Gate: I've had an agent tailing Juno, though let's just say that the entire scenario has involved more luck than I like to put into the equation. I've managed to gain access to his work, but I'm afraid that the extent to which I can personally stop him is limited.
Gate turns from his control panel, the same knowing smile that he never seems to lose still painted across his face.
Gate: I can slow him down, but I can't directly stop him from here. If my understanding of the nature of his attack is correct, then we need to outright sever his connection to the satellite, at which time it needs to be destroyed from within in order to prevent any latent programming that he may have already stored within it.
Gate pauses for a moment, his gaze averting upwards as he laughs to himself.
Gate: So now the question comes; how much of what I've said are you going to choose to trust?

"We're not in a position to care if your information is false or not. If you're lying to us, this world and the other are doomed anyway. We have no information on how to deal with this place, so false information just puts us back at square 1, where we were already."
Phenoix glanced to Ruin in thought on Gate's words. Destroying it from within was basically suicide for whatever navi was to do it. But if the rumors of Ruin were anything to go off of, if anyone could survive a suicide mission, it was this one.
Looking up at the screens that Gate had up, Phenoix approached Gate and his surveillance, unwavered by the navi he knew to be dangerous that would be so close to him as he observed the findings. It seemed like there was already a group of navis in Elysium, not with the intention of joining Juno's flock either.
Though you knew that well enough already. We can put aside our mistrust for some time while we focus on the bigger problem... I doubt we'll be able to sever the connection from here, but it looks like there's a group of navis potentially ready to fight Juno. Even with the home field advantage, a strong enough hit might be just enough to sever the connection, if only temporarily. Or perhaps allow us to.
Interestingly, Phenoix didn't try to bargin with Gate, he had no reason to after all. Normally navis might try to get something out of one they don't trust, set them at the upper hand. But if Gate was in fact telling the truth, he needed them as much as they needed him. He stood nearby the thinktank, looking over the screens inquisitively. If they didn't have enough firepower to take down Juno, were they just screwed> maybe there was an alternate path. It was hard to say, but Phenoix certainly had his doubts.

Gate's expression remains entirely unchanged through Phenoix' answer, and in his own mind he finds little surprise. This is a Navi that Gate had studied on several occasions, and this logical answer was what he could both count on and respect. The enemy of my enemy, after all...
Gate: There is one hitch in my presence here, however; Juno has displayed himself to have an interest in and connection to the beings of power within this world. To that end, I have no doubt that he's studied me just as much as I've studied him. He more than likely is prepared to counter or perhaps even use me in one way or another.
If there was to be a dire situation, Gate by far preferred to either be the cause or at least work it from behind the scenes. However, the current way that things had been playing left him with no other choice. Still, no reason to step too far out of the shadows...
Gate: That's why I feel that it's best if I remain here and attempt to hack into Juno's mainframe from beyond his direct reach. I have this network connected to my server, so if the situation escalates too far, then I can use it to slow him down as much as possible

So the satellite needed to be destroyed from within while the connection to Juno was severed. Warrior was starting to feel that Gate's reasoning for not doing this himself was because he didn't want to risk being blown up along with the satellite. Why send the King to do a Pawn's work, right?
But escalations aside, Phenoix was still right. It didn't matter if it was true or false at this point: it was their only logical option, despite how illogical his mind tried to make it.
" So we rip this place apart when the connection is severed, got it. Meanwhile, we're just waiting on the responders in Elysium's Core to sever that connection then? "
If they even could.
It sounded simple enough, though it was too bad that Gate couldn't just severe the connection on his own. Warrior was more of a doer than a thinker nowadays, so he'd leave the planning to the smarter minds here and wait to be directed.

...how many years had it been now?
Long after the events with Warrior, Phenoix, and Gate, the shadow of a Navi slowly walks the corridors of the now silent Galaxy Network. He has no need for a convoluted coding strategy or stealthy entrance, as not even the safeguards of Elysium would be enough to halt his arrival. After all, this network was made for him in some manner of speaking.
His muted footsteps ring silently through the unearthly halls, heard by only himself and lit only by the basking radiance of the infinite expanse above; the stars that shine in timeless silence. As he walks, his mind falls to countless memories and questions from times past; of events gone, of enemies, of friends, of regrets, and he can only ask himself one thing; "why?".
Even now he cannot tell himself that it doesn't matter any longer. The lost time that he's held back from memory for so long only stays hidden for a time, as even the hardest scab will eventually break if not allowed to truly heal.
Now standing at the apex of the network, he smiles to himself in his continued silence, the shadows of his dull golden helmet veiling a single tear that falls from his eyes, only to be absorbed by the tattered, slate-blue scarf that he wears around his neck. His hand rises and his eyes close as the infamous crest on his chest glows faintly, calling out to infinity above.
Resonance.EXE: Forgive me, Triad.
In an unceremonious and silent show, a solid black orb of energy slowly descends from the void above, alighting before Resonance in response to his call. The shadow Navi watches it for a moment in contemplation, a gentle smile playing across his face as he looks on quietly. With a slow and deliberate gesture of his hand, Resonance invites the orb to himself, absorbing it into his crest quietly. He winces in pain for a moment, but quickly regains his composure and smile. He nods to himself in silence and looks up to the expanse one last time, thinking of how different things could have been.. should have been.
He then leaves the network without another word or motion, fading away into the shadows.
Though destiny is a relentless ruler, even it must remember its mistakes.... its regrets.
