Finale shrugs, stepping between Warrior and Deimos. He states that he'll aid the mysterious dude, so long as Warrior could leave to heal.

What figment of lost memory is this? It's like a dream; so familiar, yet with details connected in the wrong order. To him it was just yesterday that he'd fought here, yet to everyone else that was ages ago... or rather it would be if things hadn't changed. Tragic, really. He didn't revel in what had happened, but he'd hoped that it had at least served as a warning.
The Navi, clad in black and white and standing of average height and size, slowly walks beside the main water-way, staring off into the water's crystal surface while occasionally looking around at the other Navis. Few look his way, and even fewer acknowledge his presence. They.... don't care. None of them care, and why should they? He looks like a highly customized Navi and nothing more. For this moment, he's just an average denizen of the net. None of them know anything beyond that. Once again he wonders; is this just a dream? Is this even possible? And if so; how? ...for now it doesn't matter.
For a moment he's normal. He can actually feel like he can relax a bit. Is this how it could have been? Is this the life that he was supposed to live? The muse of this thought causes a small smile to play beneath his solemn black mask, unseen by the rest of the world.
Perhaps...

*The look in its eye had been enough to insinuate that answering had been both wrong and right. He should have been half as wise to presume as much too. Unfortunately he had not been and missed out on such an important thing. What had followed had been beyond cataclysmic in nature, something he hadn't had to witness for years in fact. And the hatred couldn't even be considered icing on the cake. It had as much of an impact as the fire and darkness that had engulfed his world.*
"...Ugh..."
*Fortunately, or unfortunately given how he felt at the moment, he had survived. And regret was one of the first things felt to be swiftly followed by heavy amounts of pain. He didn't recognize where he was lying on the ground at first, but then started to piece together that this was Bayside City... he could assume the worst happened to a chunk or all of Netfrica after that one.*
"One never gets used to being next to first impact..."
*It was as brutal as it always would be when one took the wrong step. He slowly picked himself up, shaking his head and placing a hand to it. And then he was up in full, deciding that he'd stay idle here for a bit before moving off somewhere else. And so he walked around, heading to the main water-way instead. But when he stopped beside there, he noticed the highly customized Navi and paused, blinking for a moment. After looking the Navi over he stopped on his shoulder, positive by then that he was in fact correct on his assumption here. His eyes moved off of it then, glancing back over to the water's surface, but speaking to the Navi instead of staying quiet.*
"A lot of mysterious things are happening as of late. How are you doing?"

Cold here. Was the simple thought of a not so simple entity. But where was here? That was a question he found himself asking more times then he cared to admit. He always ended up some place new, he could never be one place fully for long periods of time. It was almost like slowly drifting off to sleep. Did navis sleep? Irrelevant. He concluded, feeling himself awaken. It was about this time that he came to another conclusion. He was under water.
Scanning his surroundings, he wasn't in a lake. Was it harmful for him to be here? No. It was relaxing as a matter of fact, to have all sound silenced around you aside from the subtle ebb and flow of the water. But as relaxing as this was, Golem could not stay here. There was... stuff to do. He didn't know what kind of stuff, but he intended to try and make use of his activity while it lasted. So he slowly rose to his feet, and started to trudge through the water. Fortunately he wasn't too far from land or this would be a wasted trip.
It wasn't long before his movements began to disturb the water on the surface, making ripples from his heavy foot falls as his head slowly rose up first out of the water. Golem's eyes squinted against light, temporarily blinded as he continued to trudge toward the shore.

So at last one says something. How novel. The black-clad Navi just nods to Genesis as the Onyx Overlord speaks, his walk continued as he does so.
?: Fine, thanks.
No point in pressing the issue. he was here to learn, not to make friends.

"That's a better answer than I was expecting, given our last meeting and your speech. I hadn't thought I would see you again."
*The Onyx Overlord looked over to the leaving one. Because he knew the Navi and the speech he gave before was far from him being "Fine". He knew him well enough that the Navi was passive unless otherwise pressed by others, which was like a hobby back then. But he also recalled that the last time the Navi was here, Bayside learned a valuable lesson. As did many, for that matter. No such lessons being remembered now, of course. But from what he could tell the Navi didn't have any such intentions seeing as he hadn't started straight away like he had last time. But he would ask anyway.*
"You don't have to show off your force this time at Bayside? It was pretty cataclysmic last time."

....he stops mid-step, slowly planting his feet. A long breath is drawn in and released, and multi-hue eyes shut in rhythm with it all. This was not an expected turn of events.
?: Time. To those of us who live in two-dimensions, it can be a strange and unforgiving thing. Yet, on occasion, even those who see it as it truly is can be taken aback by the way that it weaves itself. Even the greatest of us doesn't know what tomorrow brings.
He then turns around and looks to Genesis, eyes once again open and sharply focused on the Onyx Overlord.
?: So how is it that you are able to see beyond the curtain? What about you allows you to retain memory that was lost to so many others, and what brings about such a casual reaction when that memory still exists?
The stranger didn't recognize this Navi, but he was obviously someone who recognized the stranger. Perhaps this course of action was of more benefit than expected.

*What tomorrow would bring... it was true. No one knew what it would bring. That was why they tried to influence it as much as they could in the today, right? He at least thought that was why. Because he couldn't see how time flowed, just another who did what he could.*
"Not too long ago, I think given the time phenomena, the world suffered an unfortunate event and some being named Vinyl appeared with a choice we could make. When we were faced with the decision, I remained the same instead of changing like so many others because I chose opposite of them. Well, you could say in a way I did change. But that decision allowed me to retain my memory rather than lose it, thankfully. What made me different was my refusal."
*Vinyl had asked them to sacrifice and change. He was one of the few who refused that sacrifice. And as a result he remained the same, but lost something else in exchange. Arguably the memories were a better keeper than what he lost in return for it. What he lost just made some things more difficult now, but then those things weren't as much of a problem for now.*
"As for my reaction... it's not because I do not understand what these memories mean. It's because I understand them that I can respond like this, that I can accept it all and be thankful for what I'm seeing right now: you at peace for once."
*The heavily customized look was for far more than simply show. But despite the power that came with it, Genesis was just glad to see him not trapped in his role, at least for a time. There was no guarantee that it wouldn't happen again. But as long as it wasn't, that was fine with him too.*

Vinyl. Without even expecting it, he'd found his first real answer; a name. None of the rest of what was said made much difference at this point; it was pointless banter that had no real meaning on the whole. However, this Navi has already proven himself useful to this point, how much deeper can this hole go...?
?: Tell me more of what's happened to the world. What of this "Vinyl" of which you speak? How might I make contact with such a being?
The Navi's eyes drift skyward again, as if forced by an unseen hand to return to another matter.
?: And why is the galaxy network inaccessible?

*As goal oriented as always. He could even tell why that would be a place that he wanted to go. Telling him about the world was somewhat easy yet not. Because the circumstances had changed thanks to what had happened. He would do what he could then.*
"Judging from the timing, this is right after Elysium rose up. So in the time you've been gone all we've really accomplished is a lot of fighting among ourselves. That came to a halt for the most part after a visit from Samhain, someone who didn't belong here. At least in the open. What happened behind closed doors is a different matter. Thanks to that Vinyl appeared. I don't know how to contact him because he kept things short, but he seems to be a repairman. He asked for the sacrifice when the meteor fell, took regardless of choice, and then disappeared. But he should be the reason behind most of this instead of Juno."
*He had shown up because something was broken and he decided to force them to fix it, after all. That was all they could say about the individual. What he did before that or after was hard to say. But no doubt he was responsible for most, if not all of the changes now. The Galaxy Network was a different matter entirely.*
"It's been going on and off for access some time now. I imagine Duo's keeping it out of the way or it's because Gate hasn't made his move yet. For some reason it hasn't revealed itself again, either by his choice or because something else is interfering there as well."

Deimos finds Finale's quick offer of help a comforting surprise. He begins to explain what has truly happened.
"The massacre was a set up. Done by the ONB to test some of their new weaponry and keep civilians in check. Who do the citizens here turn to when everything goes awry? The ONB. but what if they knew that the ones protecting them are the oens they should be most fearful of?"
Deimos sighs and falls silent, staring off in the direction of the square. He continues in a low voice as he recalls that fateful day...
"They supposedly 'found' me planting the traps on that day, easily making me a scapegoat for them to pin it on. But I was there not to destroy this city, but to help fix it. Those charges that held the gas could have been disabled... if only they had found me a minute or two later..."
Deimos looks down at his feet as a low breeze rolls through, and it almost chills him to the bone.
"I plan to find their evidence they have against me, destroy it, and show the world what truly happened on that day. But I cannot do it alone. I did not want to bring others into this, but I fear that I no longer have a choice..."

Golem finally reached the shore, and his eyes had adjusted to the light. There were others, they weren't in his immediate area, but he knew there were some people here somewhere. He didn't know precisely where they were, but chose a direction and walked that way... he'd find someone eventually. Or he'd find the opposite shore. Not like he had anything else to do.

Warrior stayed silent for a while. Normally he'd help a person in need, but in addition to having just lost his strongest asset, Remnant, he was a bit too eager to get to the bottom of what was going on in the grand scheme of things.
" I'm afraid I'll have to decline for now. Your cause sounds compelling, but I have bigger matters to attend."
Bigger matters that nobody else here were even aware of; if his assumptions were right, then only himself, Genesis, Embera, and the stranger named "Ceil" knew anything of what happened with Vinyl. Maybe Seth would have answers too though -- he'd find him first before hunting down the others.
Observation wasn't his strongest trait; he didn't even notice one of the aforementioned navis was just off in the distance.
Warrior looked to Megami before leaving.
"I'll meet up with you again when I recover, Megami, but for now I'm headed to a place that you won't be able to follow me. Stay safe."
He wasn't aware of how much memory loss that she and everyone else had suffered from. That's all it was, right? Amnesia?
Nonetheless, in his mind, everyone was exactly the same as they had been since the most recent time he'd seen them. It didn't don on him that everything from this moment in Bayside and onward hadn't happened in this timeline, and he'd not had any clues that the Eternal Endgame and Incident in Creamland had been wiped from the books as well.
Much akin to a Navi jacking out, but different in a way that the observers couldn't quite pinpoint, Warrior pulsed out of the Cyber World and began his hunt for information about this latest dilemma.
((OOC: Actual reasons for everything are that I'm going afk for a couple weeks because of business))

“R-right…” something wasn’t right about what he said in that instant.
What was…oh!
“W-wait!” Megami’s hand reached out only to grasp…nothing.
He left so quick that the Goddess had not even comprehended what he said to her until it was too late. She reached her right hand through her hair; everyone else was not even a thought as she tried to piece together what just happened. Back then? When? Where? None. How then? She asked herself as she lowered her name, pained that she could not remember, but something definitely was not right!
“How…” she thought, “…did he know my name?”
The female NetNavi had seemed to daze off into a stare. Her body was riddled with a mysterious scar…or mark? She wasn’t sure…but it hurt still. Her databank had dark chips within it…but yet, she did not feel any different. She still felt like that pure girl and nothing like the rumors about what Dark Chips done to her. Right? Then again, she had always been different. However, there was also this moment…and Megami could not help but to face the facts…something was not right. Was this what humans called Déjà vu’ or was she still as dim as people told her she was?
Or as Xenneth said, naïve.
“Oh!” Megami snapped out of her blank stare, “That is right! Xen-kun!”
She had forgotten all about everything that happened. He had another accident at school with the women’s athletic club and he was tossed into another difficult situation. As much as ever, she had thought it was best to rush to his side. That was what she wanted to do…but it was only because at the moment, it’s one of few things that actually felt right. The woman turned to the individuals before her, bowing, as she shown a forced smile.
“D-Deimos…was it not?” Megami truly felt sympathy, but she could not do it alone. Not only that, but the Goddess was a little too scattered to focus on the current happenings, “I-I am afraid that I cannot help at the moment. I must return to my Net Op at the moment but-“
The female had reached her hand out producing two diamonds of Mystery Data. They were coded with a symbol most likely being a homepage address. “H-here is my Net Operator’s E-Mail address. Please be sure to write me later. I am…not sure I can help until I speak to my Net Operator. He requires my attention.” she explained warmly with a smile. The female NetNavi, bowing once again, hastily stood up before waving to Deimos and his…assistant? Well, she seemed to be a nice woman. Finale, she was unsure about, but still it did not stop her from showing manners as she bid him farewell with a wave.
Logging out, she left a trail of light as Megami made haste. She needed to speak to her beloved one, and she needed to do so now!

Eyes still focused on the surface of the shifting flow of the river below, the Navi listens carefully to Genesis. The information was somewhat troubling, somewhat annoying. either way, he didn't care for it.
?: Then the only way to bring him out is to cause some form of damage to the time-line? I'd rather avoid that course of action for now. Though I am wondering; what happened to my city? What force took Bayside from Electopia and dropped it here?
He'd liked Bayside since the first time he'd seen it. Perhaps that's why he stayed here for so long so long ago.
Deimos is left alone to his own story and memories as the others leave. But not truly alone. Another Navi was here trying to figure out a few of the network's recent oddities, and he couldn't help but overhear....
I'll help you.
Standing behind Deimos is a Navi of impressive size, roughly seven feet tall from head to toe and fitted in gold, silver, and solid black armor that forms into more of a shell than anything else, especially obvious in this regard is the tough, black armor on his back that is unmistakably fashioned after a beetle. Most of the Navi's face is covered by silver shell-plating similar to his back, but rising above this is easily the Navi's most distinguishable feature; a huge pair of horns set vertically on his head. The one rising from his brow is of kin to a massive, golden axe blade, while the one behind is solid and obviously razor-sharp at the end, similar to a towering, black lance. The two horns semi-interlock, and are obviously usable as pincers should the Navi so desire.
Gravity Beetle, ONB Armored Forces commander.
Gravity Beetle stands unmoving for a moment, mainly to show that he harbors no desire to be aggressive with Deimos, but also for the sake of searching....
Gravity Beetle: According to the ONB database, you were indeed found undergoing suspicious activity, and there was some form of attack. However, there was no "genocide", as you put it. A total of 10 bystanders were recorded deleted and were backed-up within a day. The move was considered a terrorist act and remains unsolved, though you are still wanted for questioning. As for what we have on you...
Grvaity Beetle connects with the database aboard the ONB Gunship Atlas and pulls down a bit of data. He then reaches out and offers it to Deimos.
Gravity Beetle: Right now we have more important things to get to the bottom of. If this will keep you from doing something foolish, then you're welcome to it. Simple as that.
