*fwish, fwish....smuck, fwishfwishfwish, fwish, fwish* The gentle rhythm of a brush being worked across immaculate marble laid a graceful undertone to the chaotic work that was taking place so far below. Swaying ever so lightly in his suspended sling as a dust filled breeze worked its way through the labyrinth of pillars in the entry way, Trance couldn't help but feel quite content with his lot in life at the moment. Suspended by ropes slung over nearby rafters, he had a bucket of quick drying paint on his lap and a multitude of finely hammered gold sheets strung together attached to his belt. Stopping his rhythmic brush strokes, Trance allowed both hands to drop to his side for a moment and just reveled in the cool air, tussling him, teasing him...lulling him...
His mind drifted as the glue began to set, drifting away to sea on a ship with the most tantalizing tests set out before him. A gambit of emotions welling up in his mental self as the brisk salty breeze seemed to charge the air with vitality and fill it with the healthy anticipation of adventure. Set sail for the distant mountains of Sharo where navi's had long whispered of junk data reservoirs filled with the tastiest of challenges, or perhaps the site of a shipwreck off the coast of the Dark Colony?
Each one already had a set plan in mind, the supply lists and necessary tools. He knew that given enough time he would make it to them and so much more; so for the time being he began reviewing the intricacies of going to the Shipwreck off the coast of the Dark Colony.
The glue was prime for application so with deft fingers Trance slipped sheet after sheet from his hanging folder and applied it with quick even sweeps, ensuring that not a single bubble, crease or chip dare to mar his work. He'd been at this particular job for about 2 days now, and was extraordinarily proficient. Glancing down as the final sheet was ripped from his hip folder, he quickly applied it and with a slight mutter of disgust at his inattention he scanned the ground below him for anyone that could give him a quick hand. He only needed about 2 more sheets to fill in the final sections of this molding, luckily the glue was staying tacky in the warm and moist atmosphere this high up.
Spotting the idle patch of bright blue hair far below him, Trance gave a friendly holler, "Oi! Blue hair! Would ya grab those?" Knowing his voice should carry over the din of construction, Trance pointed to a small pack of 5 golden leaflets and began lowering a rope and bucket down for the unknown helper to put them into.

Riclice had begun to grow bored while waiting for the nearby worker-navi to respond.
'I guess my voice didn't reach him.' he pondered to himself. He wasn't truly bothered by the lack of a response, the navis were all working quite diligently it seemed.
It was then that he heard a voice call out from an elevated spot.He almost didn't know who it was directed to until he glanced around, realizing he was infact the only blue-haired navi there.
Riclice looked toward where the navi pointed to and walked over to the golden leaflets. Scopping them up,he briskly made his way over to the lowered bucket and placed them inside of it,being careful not to scrunch them up.
"Alright! You can hoist them back up to you now!" Riclice called out, cupping his hands over his mouth so he the other navi could hear him.

Grinning with delight as the blue haired navi responded to his words, Trance flashed him a thumbs up and began reeling up the pail with his spare foils. Tying off the rope and bucket system to his work belt once it was at his height, Trance wasted no time in clipping the sheets to his belt and running a thumb quickly over the glue to ensure that it was still tacky enough for the foil to hold.
Nodding, as though agreeing with some unspoken words, Trance deftly set to applying the final pieces of his masterpiece and brushing it with loving swipes to remove the excess gold. Flecks showering down around him, it looked as though some ancient deity had taken it upon himself to bless the ground upon which they rebuilt. Scattering in the playful breezes that found their home among the man-sized columns the flecks mixed in with the construction dust and were quickly trampled underfoot, perhaps forever gilding the immaculate marble with specks of flickering light.
Unclasping the rope that was holding him, he began the arduous journey of lowering himself to the floor again. In about a minute or so Trance was standing comfortably on land again and brushing the flecks of gold from his hair, shoulders and scarf. Grinning at the impossibility of removing all the gold on his person he gave up the futile task and turned his attention to the navi who had helped out just a few minutes ago. Still clad in his work gear Trance offered his hand with a open and hearty smile. "Thanks for yer help there, glue woulda dried by the time I got back up there again. M'name's Trance by the way." Having been working on the site for a few days now, his language had naturally evolved into the gruffer speech of the local construction navi's. Assimilation through similarity, so to speak.

Riclice watched as the masterpiece was completed. He didn't consider himself much of an artist, but the navi above apparently was.
"Hmm...that'll definitely liven up the area a bit." Riclice thought aloud, while Trance lowered himself to the ground.
Once the artistic navi introduced himself,Riclice responded with a firm handshake.
"And I'm Riclice. I'm glad I could help out here." he began, nodding to Trance. "I consider this as my home Network,so I'm really glad to help work toward getting Creamland back up and fully restored."
Riclice paused once he finished, while a question came to mind.
"Are you from around here too,Trance?" he asked inquisitively, though not on a prying level. More along the lines of a simple question...

Taking the firm handshake with delight, Trance immediately noted the difference between this navi and the others on the site at the moment. This individual had a distinct flavour that was so much more real than the other grunt navi's, even the ones overseeing the various ongoing projects. A small tugging at the edges of his lips in delight at finally having another custom navi to talk to Trance replied comfortably, "I know, right? A time to rebuild and the opportunity to make your own mark on a network that will flourish for generations is impressive to say the least!"
Taking a spare moment to cast his gaze and outstretched arm out over the rapidly developing landscape surrounding the castle. Eyes noting the progress made since his arrival on spires, supporting walls and even beautification projects such as the extensive fountains system. "It's gonna be beautiful...Ah! Anyways, I don't really have anywhere that I've called home yet...wherever intrigue takes me, I follow."
Letting his hands fall to his side, his bracelets shifted soundlessly along his forearm with the sudden movement and a small current plucked at his scarf. Feeling extraordinarily content with the day so far, Trance could feel the warmth of exertion ebbing from his shoulders and neck as they worked themselves out. Curious about this friendly fellow, Trance unhitched his full body harness and let the hefty array of tools attached clang about as he freed himself and stored the code for later use.
"Do ya want to check out the re-construction as we chat? It's really something to see entire parts of a network being rebuilt from scratch." One of his eyes glowing with the honeyed hue of molasses as he made the offer, it was easy to see how delighted Trance was to watch this entire process in detail, his excitement almost infectious as it pervaded his friendly tones.

Riclice listened intently as Trance spoke, noting that he was pretty much a wanderer of sorts. He could say the same applied to himself, since the Knights of Radiance were as good as gone these days...
Deciding to not fall on the past,Riclice returned his attention to Trance. Being asked to take a tour of the network while it was being rebuilt seemed like a thrilling offer to him.
"Would I-?! Of course! Let's go right away!"
When he thought about it,Riclice hadn't seen much of the world's network with his own eyes. So,maybe it was time break a few barriers,so to speak.
"Onward-! To tour of Creamland's Net!" Riclice exclaimed enthusiastically, pointing a finger upwards as well.
It seemed that the idea would be quite enjoyable.

Visibly delighted with Riclice's enthusiasm the overall mood became quite infectiously happy. Trance's charming grin now gracing his lips he tilted his head in the direction that he had been working in, "Well shall we check out where I've been working recently first? The interior of Pride Castle!"
Walking over to a small supply area just outside the massive archway that was just one of many entrances into the once elegant Pride Castle, Trance grabbed two hardhats and tossed one to Riclice. Ironically enough each was a vibrant yellow with a solid black cross hastily painted on the front, an obvious allusion to mettaurs. The use of such virii on construction sites had risen since the domestication of virii, though many companies had strict regulations on their use or would downright not allow them to be used. In the case of Pride Castle, the mettaurs would be the ones extracting the marble and fine metals en masse from enormous quarries on the island. They were not allowed to work on site due to the simplicity of their code and destructive potential if tampered with.
Striding through the vaulting arches, labyrinth-like pillars, endless hallways and intricately connected rooms Trance began to describe little pieces of history that had occurred in particular rooms, notable events in the Pride family history and even took the opportunity to describe what finished products would look like as many floors were still open to the air and incomplete. Calling from memory which paintings or statues had graced and would once again be erected in which locations and their significance Trance quickly realized he was speaking the words of the tour guide that had taken him through the awe-inspiring castle. It felt like a lifetime ago, and although the workers spoke as though it would be an identical replica he wasn't entirely sure of what might change at the whim of an architect.
As he paused at a second floor balcony he murmured, half to himself and half to Riclice, "Atleast that's what it used to be like..."
A sudden but earnest smile returned to his face as he followed up with, "But things might change, I haven't gotten my hands on those lovely full-scale schematics to confirm yet." Glancing around himself and realizing where he was he offhandedly mentioned, "Oh yeah, this is what I've been working on for the past two days." Motioning with his head upwards at beautifully carved crown moldings running along the edge of every ceiling and excessively embellishing the ceiling itself, each carved curve and crown molding was colored in various precious metals, primarily gold leaf but also accents of other metals worked into the stonework at key places.

Riclice followed quickly as Trance made his way over to a stash of supplies. Fortunately for him,Riclice was paying attention when a hardhat was thrown his way.
Catching the headwear with both hands, the blue-haired navi popping it on. Now he was ready to go on that tour!
Riclice did his best to keep up during the tour. Paying apt attention to all of the details and enjoying it all.
He glanced around at the immediate area as Trance murmured to himself. Wondering what changes (if any) would be made,in comparison with whatever the area used to look like.
As Trance directed attention to his part of the work,Riclice looked overhead as well.
"Hm! Quite an interesting design,Trance. I think it's quite fitting for Creamland's castle." Riclice spoke, taking a few steps in a circle as he surveyed Trance's work.
"You wouldn't happen to know of any other areas that are almost complete like this, would you?" he stated questioningly.

Lips lighting up with delight Trance had just remembered another area of the enormous Pride Castle that had been notably interesting when he first arrived. "Of course! Right this way...personally I think you're in for a treat, it's kind of a neat area."
Motioning for Riclice to follow him down a massive sweeping staircase then guiding them through a series of complex turns, shortcuts and connecting hallways he asked Riclice in a curious tone, "So if you don't mind me asking...what's your story." Trance felt at ease around this unique fellow and couldn't help but be blunt in his question. One that could be as far reaching or shallow as Riclice so desired.
As his words were fading they walked out into an open air courtyard surrounded by 3 floors of beautifully carved balconies that seemed to sweep naturally from the impressive white marble rather than jut out crudely. Each floor elegantly carved in perfect uniformity, the balconies were empty except for the few remaining tools left strewn across the topmost. Every step seemed hushed in this quiet courtyard where the stonework was flawless in every sense of the word.
In the very center lay a magnificently carved fountain in the form of a tribute to those lost in one of Creamland's ancient wars. Unbelievable detail had been restored to once blackened stone and the water system was functioning once again leaving the quiet burble of water running along smooth edges as the predominant sound permeating the air. Thick green vines scaled the walls, curling delicately around window frames and balcony railings alike. The scent of freshly blooming wisteria delicately filled the air around the two wandering navi's.
Curiously enough, the entire courtyard was strewn with carving tools, stools and half finished statues. A full range of mediums from clay to obsidian stood like monoliths as figures were slowly being revealed from their core. "This is where a bunch of the artists have taken refuge to practice their art in peace. Incredibly enough, the administrators were able to restore the data in this area and only clean-up had to be done. You're looking at the original Pride Castle right here!"
As the two navi's continued to peruse the area and pieces in progress, two wisteria blooms discretely took the opportunity to blink. The lavender eyes blending in perfectly with the sparse blooms, the body unmoving and unseen beneath the loving embrace of the vines...

Riclice nodded as Trance led the way to an even more unique area of the Castle's network. Following behind him,he took in the sights while keeping up. It was indeed amazing to explore so much of the network.
Continuing down the massive staircase and through even more twists and turns,Trance's question reached Riclice's ears, pulling some of his attention away from the surrounding area.
"My story...?" Riclice asked,in a questioning manner.
He brought a hand to his chin as he thought to himself for a moment...
"Well,I used to be a member of the Knights of Radiance, for starters. And I still consider myself as the last of us 'Knights'. We had a base here in Creamland...but that was sometime ago...I have no idea where everyone else went off to."
The young bladester stopped talking for a moment,as they entered a courtyard, which Trance addressed as an original part of Pride Castle.
"Wow...! This...this is amazing..." he said, walking around as he looked over the area.
He inhaled deeply for a moment, though one wouldn't really need to do so to appreciate the aroma that permeated the area...
"Hm..that's an interesting smell too. I guess it adds to this nice atmosphere." Riclice said, looking up at the vines that had taken their place on several of the railings.
"I can't say for sure whether those vines add to the area's appeal or not,but I guess they aren't an eyesore..." Riclice said aloud, walking over to the fountain.
"This area almost feels like it's not even a part of the 'Net...it's amazing..."
It was apparent that Riclice was rather awestruck by the area's beauty.

Watching Riclice periodically from the corner of his eye Trance was happy that he had found someone who appreciated the quiet beauty of this area as much as he himself did. He, like many others, sought this place to feel the sheer power of ages wash over them. This part of the castle held remnants of history like a familiar cloak, gathering ancient secrets as easily as folds in the that very cloak woven from the fibers of innumerable interconnected events.
Speaking in hushed tones, as seemed appropriate now that they were in the courtyard properly, "I personally like the vines, it brings life to the stone, for me it's what makes this seem like a place beyond the networks...a palace lost in time." looking up to see if Riclice thought he was ridiculous for such fanciful talk, Trance couldn't help but admire how the vines even helped to hush the sharpness of their footsteps on the cobblestones. It seemed to engulf the edges of all things. Dampening the sounds, easing the sharpness of the light streaming in from the sky, even balancing the sharp acrid smell of burnt stone that still remained as an undercurrent from the attack with the pleasant scent of the vines flowers. Continuing in quiet, respectful tones, "The Knights of Radiance...It sounds very regal. What happened to them?"
Taking a moment to caress the glassy smooth surface of obsidian that was the medium for a statue of an ancient knight navi who had served beyond all reasonable expectation to preserve the honor of his lands. Lands that would one day be assimilated into Creamland and his methods of rule held as a shining example for others in the new country.
"Creamland seems to be the perfect place for Knights and those seeking redemption through purity. Especially given the history of the Pride and Gauss families...did the Knights of Radiance have a home on the island?" Knowing he was probably being nosy, Trance was intrigued. He had never come in contact with anyone who had been a part of a faction outside of the ONB or the guards of Creamland. The thought of a privately run faction was a curiosity to him, who had no such allegiances and had never had the opportunity to acquire them.
Trance made his way to the fountain ledge and seated himself as he allowed Riclice more time to wander before they moved onto the next area that Trance could think to show him. Perhaps the rehabilitation of the gardens? And the renovated beachfront afterwards?
Curious about the intruders into its domain after decades of solitude the purple eyes waited until the individuals were turned away and a fair distance away to shift its position higher for a better vantage point. Were they food? Was it even hungry? Would they startle at its presence? All valid questions that kept the mysterious creature suspended in perfect stillness.

"A palace...lost in time..." Riclice pondered to himself. Saying it like that seemed more like a dream of some sort, which gave it a mystical feel as well.
As Trance's question was raised about the Knights,Riclice attempted to think back to the last time everyone was around...
It seemed like so long ago since the Knights were around...though in reality it hadn't been that many years. The fact that his Operator was still alive and young attested to that.
"Hm...you could say that we unofficially disbanded. I consider myself as the last remaining Knight of our group, though." Riclice spoke, continuing on a moment later, looking toward Trance. "Even if they were gone 'permanently',I would never forget about them."
Riclice went silent,as if pondering whether he was talking too much.
He looked over at a mighty statue of a knight, which Trance had seemingly drawn himself to,as he admired it. The surface of the statue had been impressively well-maintained,as far as Riclice could tell.
As the navi known as Trance brought up another question about his former faction,Riclice suddenly felt as if he could picture the Citadel in his mind...
The radiant castle with its four stories, gray stony make-up,and several rooms designed to accommodate the faction's members and guests even.
"We had a base in Creamland's Network a while back, actually. So,the answer to your question would in-fact be 'yes'."
Deciding not to ramble, nor divulge too much information,Riclice looked around once more. Perhaps he there was something else more interesting here...? If not,he felt ready to move on and see more of the area.

The vines seemed to stir in the wind and small leaves began to twirl down in lazy circles, winding into tighter spirals as they descended towards the ground. A sudden violence seemed to pulse through the air as the leaves did not merely land softly in the ground but embedded themselves in the cobblestones, slicing through the ancient stonework as though it were butter. Each leaf seeming to decay as it descended through the air until every vein was tainted with a sickening black. A dark intention screamed with unheard agony that set any navi's teeth on edge. Like a raw nerve exposed, the historic calm was shattered as the wind began to pick up in the open air courtyard and vines began to grow across their only exit...
Sighing at the thought of having an entire faction of comrades, he couldn't help but swallow back a small bit of jealousy. "Heh, I won't lie...it sounds amazing. It sounds like an incredible experience. I wish that I had been around for those times..." Adjusting his position by the fountain slightly his eyes took in the rapid descent of the leaves. Unnaturally fast.
Finishing up quickly as he got to his feet, "I wasn't around for the fabled conflict with Eon or any of the living legends of that time. Even this event with the Dark Colony passed me by. I was in the ruins of a network trying to decipher some particularly tantalizing puzzles..." As one leaf came close, he couldn't help but notice the sickly miasmic tinge that the leaf had taken on. Watching as its path converged with his calf, he pulled back alarmed as it sliced cleanly through his pant leg. "Woah! Riclice! Watch the leaves!"
Becoming hyper aware of all the leaves surrounding them, he did his best to avoid where the wind seemed to be swirling them most violently and made his way to Riclice's side. Eyes scanning their surroundings the anomaly still had not made itself visible but it was certainly doing a good job of making itself known. Unfortunately Trance's back was turned to the exit, with it being in clear view of Riclice. If they were going to escape before the vines overtook the doorway he'd have to notice...and pretty soon too.
Invisible lips parting in a macabre grin, the once violet eyes had grown much darker, now taking on the signature purples of darkchip addiction. Veins of red ran angrily across the programs face as its flower guise was quickly taking in and concentrating the traces of darkchip use nearby. From a benevolent program curious about its effect on two navi's, now encompassing the consuming rage of a king who's lands have been intruded upon, this old computer AI was highly susceptible to the taint of darkness that Regal had introduced. Pre-dating any form of defense against darkness it was now quickly integrating it into it's systems before directly assaulting the intruders of its personal holy land.

[bgcolor=570041] “I absolutely, positively hate vegetables!” _______________________________ The vines sliced, slithered, and slipped their way in some tight places, but there was something more that seemed to bubble in place within Creamland’s network. A pink ooze had crept within the nooks and crannies of Creamland’s area and soaked anything in its path. Along with covering it in a thick, slimy coat, there was sinking and capsizing of some of the cobblestone structure as well as some of the plants that was with them. The material and items were being sucked in and chewed away like they were for dinner...but the plants?
Creepy, crawling vines for dinner? Was she ever so pissed!
Of course, the slicing vines were a bit painful to try to digest and erode away, and not to mention they were disgusting! The blob-like material that was slipping through Creamland had begun to collect in one place in the midst of the construction site. The form tried to mount to six feet high, but suddenly it started to pact and compresses itself to no more than a three-foot tall figure. The blob had become nothing more than a petite little girl that looked like a seven-year old with a thin skirt and a bustier upper outfit that snugged around her undeveloped chest. Anyone ever seen her before would know for a fact she looked similar to a familiar cannibalistic program.
“What the heck?” she had thought, “Did I make a left turn into a salad bar?!”
Nu’s eyes said it all as she shown a furrowed brow, and teeth had gritted tightly as she looked about the area, virtually ignoring the NetNavis. They were of little interest to her, not as much as that disgusting green stuff she just took a bite out of. “Desert will be later,” she had thought rolling her eyes upon seeing the two NetNavis, “Gotta finish the veggies first!”
It was a disgusting priority with a terrible after taste! But it had to be done...
The little program had stomped as her weighted body had not changed. Still, she compressed enough weight to weight a ton and crack the terrain under her feet in rage. She seemed to be challenging the source of that terrible after taste with the intention to be rid of the decaying mass of greenery. ______________________________ “But there’s nothing better to eat.” ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”Monster” by Kanye WestIC Attire: Default Chatty Ditz: -----

As Trance spoke of where he had been during Eon's appearance,Riclice listened intently.Afterall,it was good to listen when people speak.
As Trance warned him about leaves,Riclice's eyes narrowed suspiciously in the direction of the vines.
"I suppose the tour's over for now then." Riclice said, taking note of the creeping vines that had began to cover their way out.
Before he could make a move,Riclice noticed the unusual ooze enter the area, wearing away,no. Eating away at the surrounding area.
'And looks like we've got more company...just peachy...' the blade-wielder thought to himself.
Wary of the currently 'hidden' assailant and the one who had made her own entrance,Riclice grasped Trance's shoulders, turning him to face the entrance.
"We're going.Now."
The words were spoken in a low tone, meant only for the ears of Trance to pick up.
Taking off in a sprint,Riclice rushed for the exit, hoping that Trance would soon follow him or even dash ahead, seeing as he knew his way around the area.
Determined for them both to get out,Riclice leaned forward even more, eyes steady and unwavering.
