The vestiges of what remain of Creamland. Others see what looks to be beautiful ocean and the landscape that remains strong in the face of constant annihilation.
That couldn't be further from the truth.
The pristine sights that many have praised have been stripped bare. Corruption is rampant in all directions, assuming that can be done. More than corruption, it's more akin to outright annihilation. To say 0s and 1s remain is inaccurate, as even those are destroyed from the state of its destruction in the past, the Downfall of Pride that occurred along with the Avatar of War, and then the assault from above and elsewhere from everywhere else. Charred earth is what remains, and truly all that's left is a few islands that managed to withstand the devastation. Everything else is left to the abyss.

*Well, he supposed he spoke sooner than he should have. This was a lot more fitting of what he expected so much destruction to cause. A sight on par with or worse than the Wasteland from all those years ago during the Eternal Endgame. Back then Electopia had been shut down and human lives were lost in abundance due to how many shortages in power occurred then. They had over a decade to improve upon those shortcomings, but instead they doubled down. It made sense, how often would Eon occur was probably the mindset. The ones who made moves in the direction of caution were wise to consider that if anything it would start to happen with more frequency as technology marched on and each person in charge of creation sought even greater heights. He could tell from his own talents that there was hardly anything here. Nothing to recover or replace, Creamland was well and truly gone. What remained were the last legs that were crumbling apart at the seams and the places that weren't ordinary.*
"At least we don't have to worry about the castle or the knights."
*They would have asked about their credentials and the like or their order of business. Their order of business now was simply to see what was left in the land of ruin that this was. While Sharo had been a glitched disaster, this was just a disaster that was capable of striking both ends. ...How much of Earth was under a different perception already? And would they want to dispel those clouds at the risk of undoing the paradox that was created? ...None of that was his problem. Perhaps because they came into this expecting something like this, the influence was already lessened for them as opposed to what happened at Sharo. At least it wouldn't be difficult to pursue their objectives here if they stood out. Now was settling into their next moves, and bracing oneself for the fact that they wouldn't be on their own forever.*
"If there's any points of interest for you, best to get investigating them right away. You can have your tool assist, what with his familiarity with his old boss. Otherwise, we should make for the device to start preparing to utilize it as well as looking for the rift. It's alien enough for us to notice it right away at least."

Vanguard.EXE
During Juno's original descent upon the world, Vanguard had been dispatched to Creamland to prepare the way for the Reaverkings. Juno himself had intervened when Creamland's defenses proved too strong for him; he was just starting, afterall. The second wind he was given, Juno's power surging through him, was what he needed to finally get the upperhand. It was that event that installed his eye into him. Creamland seemed so strong, united, then, even as it was only just getting back onto its feet.
He hadn't stepped foot in Creamland since, except to immediately travel back to Eden. His eyes were so much more sensitive than the average Navi, to say nothing of the eye given to him by Var's creator, and for what he saw . . . the vista of beautiful seas and bright skies was like a foggy overlay to the truth, which was naught but desolation. Even that was inaccurate, as there was little to even describe as desolate. Charred, blackened landscapes as far as the eye could see, in all directions, like his eyes could. A few islands still separated from the landscape were floating, but even the oceans had been rent open and dried up, or were cascading into the abyss that had been opened up. There wasn't even code lingering in the air, anymore.
Vanguard wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry at Genesis' comment. It was true, and it was fortunate, in a way, but it was also sad. He just clenched his fist as he looked, knowing that their expectation, their perspective, made it possible for them to see the truth. They knew that the world was grim, and that their adversaries were so much more dangerous than anyone else had gathered up until this point. Where did that leave them, though, if this was what was left? The thought had occurred to him that seeing the truth was dangerous, but to see it with his own eyes, it wasn't only dangerous, it was outright damning. What would seeing this do to others with weaker wills?
Is this what broke you? Vanguard thought, referring to Var, and the other Reaverkings at large. Is this what you were exposed to? The reality that there was simply no point at all? He didn't think the next part directly to Var, if his thoughts could even be transmitted in such a way: Was this where true strength would be found? The ability to know truth and still stand?
The vitriol behind Genesis' comment that followed was impossible to miss. Knowing a little more of Var's original makeup, however, he realized he understood Var even more closely than he had before. Both of them were meant to be tools, and not tools for immediate use, but tools to modify another. It was their own choice to evolve to be more than just fuel tanks, and then even further to be more than just weapons. He felt bad, in a way, but knew it was for the best, and intended to keep to his promise to help his master one day no longer need to be.
"I think the only points of interest left within Creamland would be the device at this point," Vanguard agreed, but turned inward to speak to Var, regardless. Are there any other places we should be looking?

The sight only made sense. Refuting it by saying it had to be less than this, that the attack couldn't have been this bad, simply reinforced one's own delusions. It sounded so simple, and yet how easy it was for anyone to fall back into it time and again was just as simple, was it not? That was why they were here now, gazing upon what was left. Of course, Genesis' own account of the scenery helped put the last grim reminder in place, Mistair taking in the very same without a comment of her own. But the first thought that Vanguard directed was simple enough to answer from Var's end.
This is only the beginning.
Because with this sight others could say that it was just one nation. Sure, all of Creamland was gone, but that wasn't the end of the world, right? That was what it would always boil down to. And that was why it was easy to say that this sight was just the beginning. For those who thought that they would simply not let this sight be repeated, they would find their answers whether they liked it or not. Of how wrong they truly were. Of how little they truly knew despite what they believed.
We have company.
A heat would come into the area as what used to be oceans became lakes of magma as the very ground around them began to boil over into lava and desolation. And soon the ground with quake with step as the overbearing stature of the Incarnation of Famine that approached them was no less the same. The gargantuan stature of Vamin easily towered over them, gazing down at them. His jaw would move to become slightly agape, steam rolling out from it.
"There you are. I thought it was strange that your little friends weren't hanging around with you anymore, but you showed up eventually."

*It made sense to say that Creamland being desolate narrowed down the number of things that needed to be investigated. That said, the rising heat meant that it could be another problem coming. Though from the rest of the associated traits belied a new face to Genesis at least. This one was less problematic than who he thought could be showing up, so things weren't as bad as they could be. It was easy to tell what this was at least from the telltale eye that they each shared. This was another of the Reaver Kings, for which he had to assume was Vamin. The temperament of it made for a poor fit for where Vanguard had mentioned Vestil would have been just from the offhand mentions at Sharo, meaning that the heat was likely a contrast to the cold that Vestil would possess. While it wasn't as if they had contrasting traits with one another, he could draw a few such lines between Var and Deav as well. This one had been bested before, so doing it again should have been possible for Vanguard even without the little friends, who he presumed to have been Armiger and Centurion. Though presuming they met Vamin without them, their predicament was already decided as well. Unless Vamin showed mercy, they should be gone now. If he showed mercy, he was closer to Var's temperament. If not, he was closer to Deav's. Either way, he would leave the talking to Vanguard here, relegating a gaze over his way. Odds were the Tactician, much like Faith before, had reservations about how they proceeded here. He let her have right of way, and last time he did that with Var as well. All of which was to remind that this was an equal exchange, and the same courtesy was to be expected later on in return. He had reservations of his own of how well he could expect Vanguard to hold to that, but they would cross that bridge when they crossed it. He was already prepared for it.*

Vanguard stood strong as the heat pervaded the air, and his Eye gleamed to its full prominence to match Vamin's as he approached. His master's fellow rider, a formidable adversary, and, at one point in his past, a respectable mentor, Vanguard had many reservations and mixed feelings regarding his last confrontation with Vamin, to say nothing of the scenario at large.
Vanguard knew what he was talking about, though - he remembered that he had suggested Armiger and Centurion go to Creamland, and if Vamin were still here, then the two stopped here, first. He clenched his fist at the thought of what Vamin may have done, but he remembered that Var had stayed his hand, and the last they fought, Vamin had took the knee when Vanguard knew he had more steam to plow through before that was necessary.
"Lord Vamin," Vanguard greeted, holding up his hand. He had only done this with Vamin on a few occasions, in comparison to Var, but he still wanted to recognize the respect he had for the Reaverking of Famine. "We meet on opposing sides once again, although, this time, I have a better understanding of why," he went on, aware of the desolation around them. Vamin would have the advantage no matter how they pressed forward, and the most important piece would be taking that control from him somehow.
"I suppose with the nature of it all, all kings must be felled twice. It was only a matter of time before we crossed paths again. Must we fight, then?" Vanguard didn't sound happy about it - he was upset by it, truly.

A place of better understanding, was it? He supposed his vexation from earlier was well-justified then. Of any of them to be felled in battle first, Var being the first to bend the knee was pretty unlikely. More likely his soft spot caused his failure. None of that changed anything however, as though War had been defeated, conflict hadn't abated. The problems they brought or even simply two defeats weren't enough where they were concerned.
"I won't get all philosophical about it all and say something like 'we all are slaves to something'. When all is said and done, I am desolation. Wearing away the world at large the way I do is something I take pride in. It sets me apart from Vestil, who despises battle, Var, who despised his purpose, and Deav, who aims to throw his away. We would be on opposing sides if your goal was to protect what I am to destroy, simple as that."
His voice lacked the distinct edge that would come to it when blades were drawn. Battle hadn't begun just yet after all, and while Vamin was always stern, there were times when they had spoken in the past as individuals who worked for the same goal. As Lord and Vassal, as mentor and apprentice. His words spoke of his own tale. Whether he was told to or not. Whether he was forced to or not. Vamin had no qualms accepting his duty and his role to play. Whether that was with the vaunted Mother, Juno, or where he was now made little to no difference. It was what set him apart from the others. Vanguard had earned his respect in the past as he mentored him because the Zealot was able to last against his brutality. They were once comrades-in-arms when it came to creating Elysium. It made sense, as there was no reason to see that fighting for paradise was a bad thing, even if that paradise was formed through selective genocide that they would be responsible for. The cause that they fought for differed now, which was why they were in opposition.
"We fight because of our goals, as always. My goal is bringing as much desolation as I am told to bring, as much as I am able. And what is yours then, Vanguard? What lofty goal was it that you set your eyes upon that let you walk over Var?"

That was how he saw it, then, was it? The purpose that the Mother gave to each of them, they all had their own opinions on it. Each of them had their own burden to hold, their own expectations, and of them all, he remembered Vamin being the most stern, the most aware, and the most willing to use his gift, as it were. Desolation was wrought wherever he strode, and he never seemed to mind. When the rest fell into line due to torture and constant abuse, did he fall in line just because they never truly asked him to do anything more than he was already meant to?
"You were always admirable because of your pride; a pride that was true, and not vain. You were never disillusioned, and the certainty of your self-image brought with it its own strength. You did not deny the self nor the purpose, but saw fit to marry the two, and created with it an effective demeanor that saw fit to destroy everything that stood in your way, and leave only that which fought alongside you standing."
Vanguard, too, remembered his time with Vamin. Connected to each of the Reaverkings in his time, Vanguard had fought against Vamin before, and was trained in the brutality that was created by his resolve and his acceptance. It was that mentality that bred within Vanguard his own willingness to accept himself, to find balance between purpose and being, and to be sure of the path forward simply because he knew it was the path he was designed to blaze into being. The forging of Elysium began here, on this very soil, as desolate as it was, when he was dispatched to bring Creamland to its knees.
"When I first started all of this, I was just looking for answers. The respect I had for the Reaverkings left me with questions when I discovered your involvement. I once fought alongside you, Vamin, for the same goal I march with, now. This world is hurting, and it always will be. Pain exists, and is spurned by darkness, evil, ruin, and disunity, in all of their forms. I fight to protect and lead those that cannot do the same for themselves. I fight because there are those that cannot. Towards my goal of eradicating that pain, Elysium was once an acceptable end.
"I have learned that using pain to extinguish pain is not the answer I search for. The goal that allowed me to surpass even Var was simply to make my own way forward, and bring as many others with me as I can. Peace should not be left as the only option that remained, as that is not peace, that is tyranny. I fight to end pain, as I always have, but I fight to bring peace, not to force it into being."

Where Vanguard began was a place of weakness. And each step he had taken while climbing up from that position had been met with obstacles. As he worked his way around those obstacles, those around him asked him to look at himself and his surroundings. To see what it was that he was aiming his sights upon, especially after his time with Juno. The attack at the border, the recruitment into the NIA, and the fateful encounter that helped him form even greater foundations. The maw of Vamin formed into a grin of sorts.
"That is a peace wrought about by the victor. A dictatorship formed by the one who obtained that victory by forcing aside all others. Indeed, that is in fact simply tyranny. That goal of yours certainly would grant you the upper hand against Var."
Var didn't believe in that sort of tyranny either. He sought a means to bring about a world that no longer desired his brand of power. He brandished that power to that end and yielded to the futility of the fight that stood in its path. The absolute defeat that they all endured, some more than others. That was the cross they bore when they accepted their circumstances, and the role that each should have been capable of seeing thanks in part to their titles alone.
"Enforcing that sort of tyranny is my role as a King, a Despot true. When we sparred as allies, I held back to aid in teaching you. When last we met, I yielded so that you may fight with proper understanding. I believe that the lessons are over. Deav?"
From the shadow of the goliath stepped out the second king, the one who brought Death. This was something that changed the formula of the battle before them. Should they fight together, the disparity between the demands made of these two Kings in particular would spell the ruin of those who challenged them. It would make for a harrowing battle to say the least, but not quite how the situation was spun out to be.
"I want Vanguard for myself. Your presence dissuades their unity if they try to come at us both. You see what I'm putting down?"
"I'm not necessarily a fan of your pride, but since your usual partner is gone, I'll fill that role this time. You know what failure means, Vamin."
His usual armament had been replaced by...nothing? The weapon that Deav was wielding before was gone. The presence about him was different than the last time Genesis and Faith had engaged with him at Sharo. Was that a result of whatever occurred when they forced him to retreat back to his masters? What was the meaning of his last statement to his fellow? Neither seemed willing to divulge those details, both prepared to do their particular jobs here. Neither had a simple road ahead, but neither would back down just the same. Deav's presence likewise took the first strike from the hands of Vanguard and Genesis, as until the Kings made their move, whatever means they had when working together that were unknown was at their disposal.
"If your aim is to bring about true peace, then what you need to do is plainly obvious. The two of us aren't so easily persuaded to live in a peaceful world. That just isn't what we are, nor do we care for changing that. This time, we fight for real."

Vanguard listened to Vamin's response, feeling a sense of pride from the Reaverking himself. Though their views were different, there was still respect in the air. Though they knew battle was inevitable, they were both willing to set the stage to be clear what had to happen. "It is a battle to determine the strength of one to uphold their purpose, to fight for what they will.
"Tell me, before this begins - does it only end in one of our destruction?"
Vanguard didn't even look surprised as Deav appeared, but did notice the difference in the air about him. He hadn't known that Genesis and Faith had entangled themselves with him before all of this, so he didn't have that context, but the Reaverking felt different, and his scythe was strangely amiss. Before these two, Vanguard had naught but respect, so if Vamin would request sole combat, he would give it to him.

*It sounded like Vanguard had found his convictions while they were fighting the good fight. He wouldn't make it his place to comment on anything here since it was between Vanguard and Vamin, but it did look like Vamin took the necessary precautions to get the fight he actually wanted instead of yielding it to their own desires. A control over resources meant understanding the resources on both sides, and theirs were largely located in their teamwork. Having faith in someone to comply was fine, but it still didn't hurt to simply prepare in the event of otherwise. Assuming Vamin lived up to his name, fighting him along Deav would be where things became truly taxing. To that end, Deav was here as a deterrent. But that didn't mean that the Onyx Overlord wouldn't meet that deterrent if asked.*
"I appreciate your confidence in being willing to fight someone you've lost to multiple times now. Many have lost the ability to do that over the years, Deav."
*There was a time when that used to be the case. Now that wasn't so, as scouting out the enemy, understanding your strengths and weaknesses would let one discern the outcome before the battle even began. Vanguard was willing to engage in a duel, and Genesis wasn't so easily cowed either. It was easy enough to get them to accept the terms of engagement here, glancing to Mistair next.*
"Unless you want to help me, you can go along toward the device. I have no qualms fighting him on my own. I still have no intentions of losing to someone I've bested before."
*He didn't speak from arrogance or overconfidence with this. Genesis was someone who had come up from constant confrontation. Some he won, some he lost. But he had never lost to someone he had defeated before. That was why those he defeated never tried to face him again. They only ever sought to fight him from a realm of advantage, which only made him more adept at fighting from the disadvantage. Once they lost with the advantage, what hope did they have of winning with an even playing field or a disadvantage of their own? That was how the Overlord came to be. He didn't mind if Mistair was more fine aiding Vanguard and letting him fend for himself, but he also simply didn't want to waste time. Unless Deav had a vast quantity of new tricks up his sleeve, it would be unnecessary for him to get any external assistance in dealing with Death once again.*

Looked like things were reaching their climax in terms of words. Both sides were confident in their victory, and neither side really wanted interference. In that case, in order to make it more akin to an official duel, it only made sense to have someone who watched over the battle. If that was missing, then anything else could occur instead. Genesis wasn't opposed to having help, he simply preferred to use their time wisely before their more formidable adversaries made their moves. Mistair would step aside, but not exactly leave either thanks to what all was brought up now.
"I'll stick around. My presence as a spectator means that the terms and conditions will be upheld, correct?"
After all if either of the Kings made a move after their own battle was over, she would also make a move then. That way no foul play would occur. It still meant that their individual fights would happen, but if anything else happened then they could have her assistance. Neither Vamin or Deav minded this, as it meant they simply had to operate as they always had. This time with opponents who had both gotten the better of them before, one by circumstance and one by merit of his own ability. Good odds they would say.
"You're standing on your own two feet now. That means you get to decide who you do and don't destroy. As for me, I owe a debt for one of my own."
Whether it ended in destruction was entirely on those fighting. The combatants were the ones who dictated the terms, and choice wasn't forced on them. Vamin would do things his way, so it was only fair for Vanguard to do things his way. Deav started to move to the side then to let Vamin take his front, the wind beginning to move about him. The Overlord had stood in the face of War and Death and made it out alive, no worse for wear. Now it was time to see if that was changed when he was facing something else entirely.
"We'll take things from a different angle this time is all. There's no need for me to lay off of my full arsenal any longer."
The gnawing sensation that Vanguard was familiar with when the battle started with Vamin began as Deav simply did nothing on his end. The electric rings and shockwaves from the waved arms were sent Vanguard's way, as the Reaver's Eye began to release its own glare. Their eyes held two separate purposes, saw two different things. What angle would Vamin approach from, and how would Vanguard deal with it with his new knowledge? And what arsenal would Genesis be forced to confront now? These duels would present the revelation to both of these things all at once.

:Vamin:
Set:
Dark Soul: The Reality of Famine A relentless, unending thing. Famine exists, whether one likes it or not. And so long as it exists, so too does the one that embodies it. - Automatically active at all times. - Navi is invincible except against attacks modified by Aiming skills. - Status Reductions, Damages, and Glitches from Dark Chips on opponents are twice as potent. - Reaver's Eye Bursts can be used more than once per battle, but only once per turn. - After turn 3, Vamin can change the stage an additional time per turn, continually increasing.
Famine's Plateau The ruthless field of lava that Vamin specializes in, beyond the norm accomplished by others. Effects: Custom panels. Co-exists with other existing panels. These panels become active after Lava Panels have been activated once. While active, those in possession of the Reaver's Eye can activate it regardless of its current value. All others take 500 unavoidable damage and have -200 armor. If any opponents are immune to these effects, they instead gain +1,000 Damage and +5,000 Health/Turn and all attacks are considered Aimed. Inactive outside of Lava Panels.
Progression The speed at which the disaster trudges ahead, not slowly but surely. Effects: Can change the stage twice as many times.
Reaver Eye's Surge Burst activated. Panel Master Active. Stage changed to Lava, Magnet, Metal, and Magnet in rotation.
Attrition A clash that continues as long as the strife does, until resources are lost. Effects: Opponents' skills require an additional use to be used. Opponents' avoids avoid one less attack. Opponents' recovery and armor are reduced by 20%. Opponents' attack slots and auto charges are reduced by one. For every two turns that pass, these effects are advanced by a stage. (Skills require two additional uses, avoids avoid two less attacks, recovery and armor are reduced by 40%, attack slots and auto charges reduced by two). Pierces Immunity. Passive.
Currently: +1 Skill Use required on all skills, -1 Avoidance on all avoids, recovery/armor -20%, attack slot/auto charge -1.
Inexhaustible The inversion of scarcity, lasting without end. Effects: As long as Lava or Famine's Plateau is active, Vamin recovers to full health every turn. Passive.
Feast or Famine A wealth of unending stamina so long as the terrain favors the one who bears famine. Effects: As long as Magnet, Lava, or Famine's Plateau are active, Vamin's HP, Damage, Armor, and Regeneration are boosted by 1.5x and Attack Slots are boosted by 1 based on how often they have been active throughout the battle. If the stage is changed, it counts as 1 turn having passed for the stage. (Turn 1 = 1.5. Turn 2 = 2. Turn 3 = 2.5.) Passive.
Presently: 5.5x
Concluded Famine When the cycle is concluded, coming full circle and returning to its source. Effects: For each time the opponent changes the stage in a turn, Feast or Famine is slowed from progression by the number of times that they have. If they manage to change the stage 6 times, Attrition's progress is halted by one turn. Passive.
Fatigued Force Diminished force, striking against the king of shortage himself. Effects: As long as Magnet, Lava, or Famine's Plateau is active for part of the turn, all damage taken is mitigated by 90%. If the damage cannot be reduced/mitigated, it is instead reduced by 45%. Passive.
Relentless Hunger A nagging sensation that tears one apart from the inside of all who challenge famine itself. Effects: Opponents take 250 Unavoidable Damage per turn. This damage is increased by itself per time the stage has been changed in the turn.
Stage started as Normal. Stage changed eight times by Vamin. Feast or Famine activates eight times. Relentless Hunger = 2,000
Total Unavoidable = 2,500 13 Attack Slots.
Battle:
Electric Ring S-Attack Elec Element A series of electric rings fired off to stun the enemy. 500 -> 2,750 x 4 DMG, Breaks Shields, Cuts Auras, Shock. Avoid Separately.
Massive Swing C-Attack Metal Element A swing of the arm meant to clobber and crush anything it meets. 2,000 -> 11,000 DMG, Undodgable, Breaks Shields, Cannot be Naturally Avoided, Hits All.
Shockwave X-Attack Metal Element A mighty force that accompanies every blow unleashed. 1,000 -> 3,250 DMG, Auto-attacks after each of Vamin's C-Attacks. Damage boosting effects have a 50% increased effectiveness for this attack. Damage of this attack can be divided to instead be distributed as multiple hits.
Sequence repeats 6 times.
Charging: Endless Famine - 1/3
Attack Slots: 13 Armor: 1,210 Regeneration: 24,750 [Vamin HP=687,500/687,500] Stage: Magnet
-
:Deav:
Set:
Hyper Mode: The Reality of Death A slow, inevitable thing. Death exists, whether one likes it or not. And so long as it exists, so too does the one that embodies it. - Doubles the damage of one attack per turn. - Can add avoid separately to one attack through the turn. - Negates all outside damage buffs to attacks against Deav. - Negated damage buffs are applied to a number of attacks for Deav equal to how many were negated. 15 Turn Duration
Encroaching Demise Death is always looming, always approaching. Sometimes one's ally and at other's their enemy. Effects: For each turn that passes, one effect on the Pale Rider is increased by a numerical value of 1. Can sacrifice attack slots to increase the number of turns this applies by one. Passive.
Concluded Demise When the cycle is concluded, coming full circle and returning to its source. Effects: For each time the opponent takes Pale Rider, its progression is reverted back to its starting point. Passive.
Life Continued The other side of the coin that is death itself. Effects: The Reality of Death cannot be affected by the enemy. Passive.
Life Untouchable Life will always be, so long as the world continues to turn. Effects: Deav's passive skills cannot be affected by the enemy. Passive.
Approaching Death The demise that is surely on the horizon, crawling up one's back. Effects: Healing and Regeneration of all opponents are negated. Can use a status cleanse to enable them to be used for one turn. Passive.
Full Turn Charge: Purifier Unit - 1/1
[Deav HP=25,000/25,000]

*He nodded to her proposal, fine with the proposition. This way if Vanguard was defeated by Vamin, he wouldn't have to deal with the Reaverking jumping in on his fight with Deav. The same could be said if he lost to Deav and Deav simply turned his attention over to Vanguard. Deav planning to come from an entirely new angle at least showed that he was aware that his old tactics were pointless here. If he attempted to use his powers over death against him, he would simply overwhelm him. He had gave into the vestiges of his pride last time and tried that against him and Faith and paid the price. Unlike the others, he was willing to throw away the Pride of Death and simply approach things without it. That was why this would be a new angle, even though he could still feel the standard influences, the scythes and the touch of death were absent to speak of his words carrying no falsehoods.*
"Forced to hold back, huh? Fair enough. Can't be helped when your hands are tied by someone else."
*Then it would be on Deav to show him up then. While Vanguard held a great deal of respect for each of them, Genesis simply showed them the courtesy he would to his enemies. And while Faith was occupied on her own and Vanguard was held up by Vamin, this would be the last time he would have to face off with Death's incarnation should things go favorably his way. It was the least he could do as well if he wanted Deav to avoid a fate worse than death. He would keep his opener basic and simple, his cloak bursting into shards of data and adjusting as the onyx black armor gained a white outline of energy, purple eyes of dull scarlet peering back as he fired off several rounds from his gun as before as he also closed the distance, unleashing a swift barrage at the Reaverking.*

Vanguard.EXE
So it was, then. The avatar of famine came crashing towards him with all of his might and strength, and Vanguard relegated himself to a simple task - weather the storm. There was no resource that wasn't precious in this altercation, and there was no room for wasted action or opportunity. His flames stoked and ignited themselves as Vamin struck at him, igniting to burn more brightly despite the assault, as he braced himself against his assault.
Once all was done, Vanguard stood, his flames erupting around him in a purple pyre, as he considered Vamin. He intermingled his purple flames with a red aura as he prepared his own assault, deciding that time was well worth the effort, here. As he prepared, he raised up his tried and true cannon, knowing that the effort wouldn't stick, but to at least make a point to Vamin all the same.

It was a point made just the same: Vanguard would hold true to his judgment through and through. They would be the same then, the shot doing nothing as expected as Vanguard began to shore up his resources while Vamin began taxing them further. This was when the next tactic would be unveiled, his eye gleaming as rather than the roiling terrain, the flames were soaked up into the very maw of the Reaverking itself as it let out a terrifying roar that shook the foundations of the very area itself. The power that had been swelling within Vamin had been unleashed at an even swifter pace, the effects pronounced and devastating at the same time. He slammed his head down, crushing the area as flames rolled forth to hunt down the Darklight Tactician as the battle rose to a fever pitch.
-
The Onyx Overlord knew well what it was like to not be able to move as you saw fit. His attacks weren't devastating, but Genesis always preferred to start slow if able and playing into whatever hand the other played. To that end, he would see to just that as both arms would begin to change for the Reaverking. A long blue buster of sorts followed by blue, black, and orange armament that revealed itself as Deav approached and a laser blade was unleashed, quickly followed by firing the buster as he passed as homing shots were unleashed to seek and destroy the target. The sword would change to another black and orange cannon, while the longer blue weapon would turn into a black and yellow glove as he fired the cannon as a blue sphere launched and erupted before he hurled an electromagnetic bomb next. It would return to his default hand next as the other turned into a drill that was thrust at Genesis before he aimed to slam a bomb point-blank at Genesis, exploding as it pushed him back harmlessly as another bomb was left behind, the drill having changed during the explosion into a black, beige, and orange weapon that left another bomb that exploded while it was in range. The new battle had begun.

:Vamin:
Defense:
Takes Dark Cannon for 0 Damage.
Panel Master Active. Stage changed to Lava, Magnet, Metal, and Lava in rotation.
Passive.
Currently: +2 Skill Use required on all skills, -2 Avoidance on all avoids, recovery/armor -40%, attack slot/auto charge -2.
Presently: 8x
Relentless Hunger A nagging sensation that tears one apart from the inside of all who challenge famine itself. Effects: Opponents take 250 Unavoidable Damage per turn. This damage is increased by itself per time the stage has been changed in the turn.

Total Unavoidable = 1,500 17 Attack Slots.
