. . . "Time? . . . Heh. When it comes to time, I certainly have the best use of it."
Like sand falling away within a pit, reality melted away, and then broke like glass. When the fracturing glass and shifting sands of time and space had finally fallen back into place, Joker and Club stood back where they began, only Platinum Joker now held the reality-destroying power of the time monger, the Time-Space Nightmare, within his palm.
"Tell me, then. For what reason are you so angry? Why . . . why is it, that you've never met the man that gives each and every one of us the fury to scream, and destroy everything in our wake, and yet here you are, just as angrily smashing away at everything as if it would garner someone's approval?" Platinum Joker dismissed the legendary attack, turning to look at the reality where he unleashed it, and obliterated Club immediately . . . and faced the consequences that followed. He shook his head, closing that reality firmly, alongside the reality where he and Club had been fighting in, before.
"You were never fully created by his hand, so why? I saw you destroying my loved ones, and in that moment, I saw you as just a reflection of my own fury, created by him.
Joker's power over the end game's full strength left him, as reality as he willed it finally set itself into stone. He glanced around at the battleground he had created, and shook his head, suddenly disparaged of all of his fury over the matter, just like Club suggested.
"You're a part of the House, too. While not originally within my programming or intent to care, from where I stand, the House should always win, and should always be working together to ensure it does. What happened? Do you care enough to share, or is all you have left that fury?"

Exactly as he was told things would go when he was sent back on his assignment. Well, he couldn't say his boss didn't know how things would go with this one. Must have had a ton of sample sizes to interact with. He had a different take of him from his own interaction with him, that he was willing to subject himself to his own weakness and embrace the outcome from his betters. Well, he supposed this all started because Joker was looking down on him as his superior anyway. Back where they started, he supposed Joker posed a point once again. The House should always win.
"You want to talk that badly for some of the truth? Then I'll do my job. You have the best use of time? The fact of the matter is you don't have any time at all. Why don't you take a look again?"
That's when Joker would be able to see it. The multitude of alternate options that he possessed all crumbling apart. Instead of the multiple realities that were at his disposal, he was left with simply the sight before him. The only possibilities he was able to see and engage with was the world around him. What should have been infinite in possibility had been narrowed down to just the one as everyone else had to live with.
"Being angry for someone else sounds ridiculous. I'm angry because I had to put up with you, nothing more or less. Fury at my creator? Approval on someone's behalf? The only kind of approval I'll ever get as your inferior, is a sign of dismissal. If you're angry over a lack of control, you still don't have it. Because reality isn't subjective to your will. You're stuck with how it is. If I'm around, I'll look forward to seeing how you settle with dealing with it."
He was called off then and vanished much as he had arrived, leaving the vacant space for the Platinum Joker to consider the meaning behind this outcome and what it meant for the future. The future that was outside of his purview and unknown to him.

Joker
As time melted back into place, it didn't stop melting once he willed it to; no, it continued to spiral, and fade and melt away, until all that was left was now. Infinitude seemed to collapse in front of him, as with each action, a multi-verse of realities should have been created from the actions taken and all of its possible outcomes, but instead, only this time would forever march forward. He fell to his knee as that power overtook him, watching time burn away from all around him.
That . . . shouldn't be possible, he thought, but then, there was Club, continuing to tell him that everything he understood, all the stuff he thought he knew, it all meant nothing. He had no power here, he had no say; all of it was illusion and choice, an opportunity granted just as easily as it was taken away. The opportunity existed only long enough to give him the hope of strength, and was dashed away as soon as he used it. All of his fury, and he hadn't even accomplished avenging his family. In the end, what was it all even for?
He contemplated what he had accomplished, though. He learned that, for whatever reason, they were needing to manipulate opportunity moving forward. They were also still interested in the Wave World for whatever reason, but why, he wouldn't know. He was unsure if he had just unintentionally gotten the Eon from the past in trouble, in any way, or if the powers they were up against could have handled him, as well, if they wanted to. The veil between impossibility and the power of his enemies kept getting shorter, as they proved capable of things that he had never considered possible in any way.
Still, he supposed, if nothing else, the Deep Noise Wave around him still being active was enough. He didn't have the need right now to expand it too much further, and decided, at least for the time being, that it didn't need any other entrances. He closed off the ones that were in other parts of the world, leaving just this one for the time being, moving the Noise as he needed to. For now, with their resources under attack and their world so at odds, the ability to appear unannounced in key locations at their enemy's behest was not anything he wanted to wish on the world.
When it was all done, he supposed the only thing left to do within the Deep Noise Wave was to see if the Crimson Refinery was still accessible, and if their base had been compromised any further. Being the most capable of the House, he let that job fall on his shoulders, moving further in to see if it was still accessible.

While continuing further into part of his original objective, he would find that the Crimson Refinery that he was after wasn't accessible. At the very least it hadn't been originally. After a few moments longer of thinking another dead end had been reached, accessibility to the Crimson Refinery was returned. What could it mean this time? Why was it inaccessible but then made accessible again?

Joker
. . . That was strange. Trying to enter into the Noise Wave that would hold the dealer base, and the crimson refinery, the first time was impossible. Persistent and refusing to be shunted away by his own creation, Joker pressed forward, sure that something was wrong, only to find that the Noise Wave closed, and then reopened, like it had been reset.
Why . . why was the administrative code on the Noise Wave set to deny him at first? That . . . everything in here was to their designs, by now, was it not? To push forward alone would be foolish, but who else could he call to his side in a situation like this?
The secrets to his satellite server, to why he couldn't control it anymore, could be inside of that Noise Wave. The answer to his questions, and to just how much power they had amassed from it, and what they intended to do with it, could be back there. Just how long they have known about him, and just how deeply into his family's work they have meddled . . .
. . . Strong has already made it clear that Joker was beneath even him, if he wasn't using his head correctly. Without his family at his back, and his satellite giving him confidence, Joker had lost a lot of his clear thoughts. Perhaps . . . Strong had been right.
He grimaced, and sighed, and pushed forward. From his perspective, there was no one else capable of following him here, into this dense pocket of Noise, and then into the real world beyond.
