He managed to masterfully glide his way through the air after the eruption of power, the echoing sound all around them that would have ruined others that were enveloped in it. He would be about to give her a dosage of her own medicine now. The waves in the area had adapted to what she had shown before, and he would meet that increased speed by refuting it entirely as she struck time and time again against his body that was engulfed by the white feathers. As her onslaught reached its climax, the feathers would adopt the same red that she displayed before as they launched out, dicing through all that was in its aligned path before they all started to converge on her at a single point, smirking to himself at his handiwork, caused by her own machinations at that.

" God, I hate birds! "
First the Condor and now this guy.
As his returned assault came back at her in equal force, she'd vanish once more and this time reappear high above where'd they'd been fighting -- the retaliating feathers would respond accordingly and adjust their trajectory to chase her all the way up there instead, but she'd considered that by this point.
Rather than trying to match his evasive speed anymore, she'd used her stored energy this time to aim her gun downward and let loose a rain of shots, intent on obliterating everything on the surface level down below her, as well as the responsive attacks he'd sent her way. The bodies of the previous victims had long since been brushed aside by the chaos of this fight, so they wouldn't be further scathed after all of this and their respects could still be paid.
She wasn't as keen on leaving anything left of the Swan Man or his disturbingly rapidly producible offspring, and so the shots would rain down like meteors; the Desolation Trigger lending its namesake to everything in its wake.

She was even able to endure all of that, was she? He supposed he must have made a mistake by presuming her to be human like all of the others that came before her along with their pocket monsters. This was enlightening all the same and meant that it was time to make a graceful exit now that she was in the position that she was. The desolation would be triggered as she fired and rained down upon him from on high, and the resulting effect of that was something she couldn't possibly fully see from above. But when the dust cleared, there was no Swan Man left when she finished her barrage and instead what looked to be a man who, while not maimed by feathers and the like, was very certainly mangled by something. Making out who they used to be was extremely difficult, but seeing as no birds or feathers came about, it was safe to conclude that she successfully left absolutely nothing in her wake.
Defense:
Undershirt activated and destroyed. Swan withdraws.

Her eyes continued scanning the area as she descended back down to the ground, as if to make certain he wasn't hiding anywhere, but there was no sign. There was one more body that she must have missed earlier -- her own fallacy told her that she'd just destroyed the feathers that were already in his body rather than her actually being the one to seal his fate, but she was no medical expert so perhaps he and even the other pin-cushioned victims still had some hope.
For that matter, she didn't even have basic medical knowledge to have considered that at all, but she'd speak into her NIA Isolator all the same to report the scene now that the coast was cleared.
" Grom, I'm at the Yeti's Shrine. The previous unit was attacked; the threat's been handled but there are a lot of casualties. "
She wouldn't need to verbally request medical assistance since she knew he'd get the idea just from that. Instead, she'd quickly move on to where the other survivors were located that the Swan had shown her earlier, making quick on her feet to get there in time and diffuse that situation next.

...and this is when a white and green flash streaks by with a gust of wins. As it passes, Feint would find that her communicator was missing, and a Navi was apparently roller-skating away from her at break-neck speed.
With a furled brow, Edge now grips the NIA Communicator as he rushes away from Feint as quickly as possible, gliding away as he opens up the line.
Edge: You took something from me, and didn't think that I noticed. Well, I noticed, and now I'm coming for you. Give it back and I'll leave you alone until this arc is over and I can make fun of you for losing. Try to keep it, and I have a particular set of skills....
Edge cuts off and glances back, realizing that Feint would definitely no longer be stunned by the sheer audacity of his move by now.
Edge: ...oh shi-
Edge then tosses the communicator back towards Feint and gets the heck out of there before she can beat his face in

#s://i~imgur~com/k8PXShU~png When Edge looked back, he'd see that she'd already taken aim and was about to fire -- throwing the communicator back to her was the only thing that kept her from pulling the trigger for fear of destroying it with the shot.
She raced to go pick it up from where it landed before giving chase, but quickly stopped herself as Edge managed to make his escape.
" I don't have time for this... "
Without missing a beat, she'd resume her march toward the other surviving victims and continue about her way. Edge's presence didn't pose enough threat to their inbound support team to merit reporting, but it did make her more cautious of sudden arrivals like that moving forward.

"We'll send immedi--"
She would have gotten the memo that aid was being sent at least before the hijacking occurred. And in the course of time spent with it being in Edge's hands before returning to Feint, if she had been listening intently enough, she would have heard a light curse from the communications when she received it back from the temporary theft. Why that was the case could be anyone's guess, but for now she could find the remaining survivors, who when the room was opened would be able to receive outside oxygen now that had no longer been imprisoned as well as the dancing having ceased now that the Swan was no longer active to force them to dance until their deaths, excluding the ones who weren't given that option. In time the rescue forces would be able to arrive, and at the very least the first situation was solved with an obvious problem that had arose here. It would be simple enough to conclude the same had occurred everywhere else that was mentioned as well.

#s://i~imgur~com/U4Xclbh~png Having considered that a similar scenario would be occurring in the other locations, Cherish was beginning to get concerned that she wouldn't get to them in time to save the other victims -- she could only be in one place at a time. Having been under the impression that Cygnus was a Net Navi, and having seen Edge enter and leave this space as well, she was began trying to think of who she could send to the next locations to even just delay the attackers until her arrival.
" ... "
She wasn't used to asking for help, and the list of names that came to mind wasn't particularly long because of it, but she wasn't so selfish that she couldn't set her pride aside when others' lives were at stake. There wasn't much time to waste mulling it over, either -- raising her communicator to her face, she reached back out to Grom for guidance.
" Grom, I'm expecting the other situations to look about as dire as this one, but I'm finding myself rushed to get to both in time just by myself... "
She knew Grom was busy with situations that were just as important: hospitals were offline and they didn't exactly have bodies to spare that weren't already working to save lives. Not to mention that it would be even harder to find those that could contend with whatever they'd find themselves up against.
" ... I'm able to get into contact with Faith Nymphra and Jacob Rayner; they've both worked with NIA in the past and happen to have more hands free than we do right now. "
Faith supported Seth Pele as a contractor working for the organization after she had separated from the Gigamerican Armed Forces, while Jake was the informant that had tipped NIA off to Cherish's own espionage years ago when she originally created the guise of "Feint" to rejoin them. She wasn't quite fond of either of those memories, but they did paint a clean and reliable slate for those two names despite their lack of affiliation.
" With your go-ahead, I can send them to Donburā Lake in my stead while I bring Shine with me to the Whazzap Lines -- it compromises our intelligence, but we'd be able to resolve both situations much more quickly without having to sacrifice as much caution. "
At the moment, NIA were the only ones aware of the phenomenon surrounding these ancient sites, so even with the lives that were at stake, she needed approval before inviting unaffiliated individuals on the mission. Regardless of his response, she knew where she needed to be next and began making her movement immediately -- she'd have no time to waste either way.

Initially the call for assistance would be detrimental to the cause. Especially given the track record of one of the aforementioned names just now. But because of this as well and their conflicting reports of "everything was fine", it would be more reasonable to assume that they were still compromised one way or another and in a way that wasn't quite as plain to the naked eye. But the two also had an advantage for the same reason why Feint was the best pick for this job, and with the stakes raised he would relent and make the call.
"The risk of compromise is well worth the reward gained in kind. Even if it's those two, they can be trusted to keep their mouths shut about matters this delicate given the stakes involved or even the reputation that one of them possesses. Permission granted."
