~ Com Square: The Sharonian Capital ~
the pinnacle of all Sharonian architecture is located in this square, the single largest city in all of Sharo. Buildings of varying sizes scrape the skies and lay low as well. Some of the tallest buildings are identified by their cone-shaped roofs and multi-colored walls. At one time, this remarkable icon of Sharo's history was locked deep within it's own borders, but has since become open to tourism for everyone of all nations. Anyone strolling through this heavily metropolitan area will see franchised markets from all around the world located in just this square.
-
About half a day would have passed by now in the time that it took Faith Nymphra to traverse from Netopia to Sharo with her Navis in tow, but they'd arrived rather timely for a real-world transit, all things considered.
Touching down in Com Square, she'd jack them in from her PET before Pulsing In herself momentarily once her precautions were taken. They'd take a moment to get in order, so she hadn't arrived just yet.

*To say this was the last thing in the world he ever expected to experience would be putting it really accurately. It was simpler than breaking through the direct way, but it was more than a little degrading to have to take the ride here through this fashion. It at least gave them the time to discuss things and plan out at least some of what they collectively knew as a group. He would probably never tell the tale of the day he did this for the sake of getting something done. Short of the ones here he would take it to the grave if anyone ever asked how he got to Sharo and if the person asking was Embera, probably lie to her for what felt like the first time and say he just broke in the old fashioned way. It was worth it in this case and the climate change from area to area was contrasting, but thankfully enough to make him decide to quit dwelling on the fact he might even have to do it again to get out of here. Or say screw it and violate some laws again... observing his surroundings now to take his mind to more important matters.*
"After we find out if it's safe or not, the place we're headed is rather out of the way. And a hassle to get in the hard way, so before that let's survey everything else here."
*In case him taking the hard way interrupted the people that were already there. He didn't want to interrupt that because that was also information to be gathered for them if all went well. So he would see what else happened in Sharo in the time they were isolated from it.*

#s://i~imgur~com/HMwvYex~png Shortly afterward, Faith beamed in as well. She was happy to see that they at least didn't play some cruel prank and ditch her once they were in the clear.
" Sorry it took so long. Had some things to take care of out there. "
She'd act and speak noticeably slower now -- half of her focus being on the here and now, the other half on her real world surroundings. There was much less security where she was Pulsed In from than the consulate that protected her back in Netopia. Locking herself in a secure space with all the bells and whistles to alert her of an intrusion was the highest priority for her well-being going forward.
That... and she hadn't used the restroom during this entire trip -- she didn't want to separate herself from her PET, heaven forbid she just "loses" Genesis on a plane along with Vanguard and Mistair, but she also didn't want to bring them into the bathroom with her. Human privacy and all.
So right. She had some things to take care of.
" Been a while since I've seen Sharo. Not too much seems to have changed here, not at face value at least. "
While the others were surveying the area for information, Faith was surveying for Warrior. If she didn't find him here, heaven knows where he was instead.

He held the same sentiments with Genesis, but, at least, with all the time they spent inside of the PET, they could share experiences, notes and information within one another. No avenue left alone, he expunged all the information he knew, from his fight with Vamin, his encounter with Forte, Forte's ordering them to search after the Cybeasts, his notes on Rosso's power level shifting from time to time, the connections between him and Magnolia, all of it. They all needed to be well equipped. He sat back and listened to Genesis' rendition of what he had gone through, all the while making a pointed effort to ignore the jostling lurches each time Faith stopped and her PET shifted.
Much like Genesis, he, too, would likely recount a much different story of this event.
Vanguard touched down right after Genesis, similarly looking around to survey their surroundings. As a business man, not having access to Sharo for a long time was problematic; as a fighter, now, he wanted to know what Sharo was hiding for so long, especially since this was his first official venture into the area. They'd need to be careful, and for more than just the fact that their enemies were expecting them. He remembered what that strange Navi, Vytrex, had once told him about how Sharo was abusing their embargo to hoard data for some strange purpose or another. He looked around for those very same mountains, wondering what the masses would look like.
PlagueMan.ERR
As Genesis milled about, he would suddenly feel a slight shift in his data as PlagueMan was forcefully ejected out of Psyche's servers and back into his code.
PlagueMan came too and first saw the world through Genesis' eyes, noticing the expanse of a network he found very foreign. In the distance, he saw these mounds upon mounds of broken code and data, and his connection to that style of code told him it was literal mountains of bugged data.
Then, he took a closer look at his surroundings. The very ground, air, the architecture, the soil beneath their feet . . . it was all saturated with bugged data. He felt choked within not just a sea of bugs, like from Kotobuki, but a galaxy of it, and his inner most being suddenly informed him once again of how horribly alone, dejected and unwelcomed he felt. Even with Psyche, whom Genesis swore would be of no worries, dejected him.
He moved within Genesis, bulging. The small mass of red schooling fish moved out from Genesis' body, swimming out of his code, oozing out from under his armor, around his crest, out of his scar, anywhere that would allow them escape. As the minuscule fish-like bytes moved outward and recollected, the mass that was PlagueMan reestablished itself, glowing brightly and violently. Something primal had awoken deep within him in this space. He felt himself searching out and connecting wildly, rapidly, without end, the entire Netspace filled with potential points for him to grow, far too fast for even his most desparate attempts at controlling himself to hold him back.
It had awakend.

The hivemind rose far above Genesis, the large red orb pulsating with power. The red lines noting its control over the network - the red lines that only Genesis had seen before, connecting PlagueMan's alpha to the entire hivemind - started dotting red lines all over the Network. Lines were drawn connecting him to random points within the air, specs of dirt at their feet, points on the buildings, first. Then, more lines joined them, darting through the air to connect him to a mountain. The single line touching the mountain would've meant that a single bugged data byte was on that mountain . . . except the entire mountain turned red in an instant, the glow emanating from the connecting line to cover it. The very air changed its hue is the line connecting him to the air suddenly diffused in the same way. The ground, the buildings, the red lines expanded over them in a massive wave of corrupted connection as the collective grew, a sudden, horrific realization came to all of them: The individual lines connected him to one, and then that one drew its line a million times over. The whole of the world around them was awash in the red sign of PlagueMan's growth.
But it wasn't PlagueMan anymore.
The ground beneath them quaked. The buildings began to tilt. Little specs of red dirt began flying through the air, the dew on the grass rising up from the blades, byte by byte, pixel by pixel, as the Network around them appeared to evaporate. Then, all of a sudden, a crashing sound, like broken rock and tumbling earth, as a mountain was uplifted, the large geographical piece hurtling across the Network. As it moved, it gouged a rift into the Network, each thing it touched disintegrating to its touch as the mountain reduced itself into the little minuscule bytes of red schooling fish that PlagueMan had become. The last of the stone smashed into nearby buildings all around them, as the very world gave way, more mountains lifting all around him as he rose ever higher, his small, sphere-like state growing with every second that past. Buildings began uplifting and colliding into one another, ripping up dirt and ground and pipes that subsequently turned to red, mountains came hurdling from all sides, the very ground beneath their feet uplifted.
The whole of the Network had been transformed into a massive, glitched anomaly. Everything came rushing towards what was once the soft-spoken, caring and determined PlagueMan. The PlagueMan that fought every day to suppress his inner most monster, his most basic of coding, his most primal of instincts.
No one would have guessed that this is what he was hiding. He was an incomplete, immature Cybeast, that was holding back his code from doing exactly this. Growing, evolving, connecting. Now mass of bugged data floating above them grew every second, and they had no choice but to react to the wreckage rather than to try and stop him. Sharo was crumbling around them.
And it appeared to be caused by some sort of red void that Genesis released.

Mistair could tell the entire ride that they weren't very comfortable with where they were. She had never done this herself either, so she couldn't say she felt the most at home, but not unwelcome either. It at least made talking be simply between the three of them rather than the three of them and the walls around them. Once they landed in Sharo, the first thing she noted was that the others walking around were odd. They seemed properly behaved on first glance, but the issue was they had no response to Genesis once he arrived. He and the Armored Destroyer were known around here for decimating the forests and mountains of Sharo before in one of their now less frequent brawls.
"I think we're in a bad--"
Then the red started to come from Genesis and that was something she didn't notice before. Did it get there just recently? It had to. And that was when the very world around them was changing. It was more than just the Com Square network that was affected. From beyond the city to the mountains beyond, anything and everything in Sharo was being uplifted and stripped bare. The entire Net of Sharo itself was all surging into one spot before... it wasn't? The mountains looked normal, the buildings and everything else. And that made it a very jarring experience from them going from lifting up off the ground because it was being ripped out from under them as the ground crumbled and the very sky collapsed into what was perfect serenity. The only difference is now no people were there as well.
"If I'm being honest, I expected you to return to Netopia first. While we were flexible about it, I'll admit my surprise nonetheless. And my gratitude."
He came from behind one of the buildings, Rosso himself. His hand was open at the time, a power having flared up then that vanished after. But it was a power that Vanguard would recognize just as well, Mistair too because it was something they had to keep on file, and Faith because she was the trigger that set it off in the first place.
"Thank you for finding a way to arrive on your own. Psyche can't say I'm being dishonest now that you aren't with him, Genesis. And thank you for delivering our puzzle piece without us having to tip our hand to show that we wanted it. It's a good thing everyone else wanted him out of their way. But he's more than welcome with us."
A power that changed the very world around them. A power that others thought was long lost from this world after the fall six months ago. And one that was very clearly being utilized by Rosso himself. They had certainly not seen much of what he could do at all, had they?

Vanguard.EXE
Vanguard began moving as the world began shaking, watching the red thing rise up from Genesis. He eyed the onyx overlord, confused about what had just occurred, as everything in his systems told him that it was filled with bugged data. Swearing, Vanguard moved with the mayhem, only to find himself tripped and falling. He turned, quickly, and hoisted himself back up, to see the world back in order.
Everything was as it was. The mountains did not tear trenches into the ground. The buildings did not evaporate. There was no damage done. There were also no people - and no massive sphere of red corruption in the sky.
He turned his head as Rosso suddenly appeared, watching the power flowing from his hand. Once again, Vanguard's reaver eye could not help but activate. He looked at the world around them, how it had so rapidly changed and then reverted, and though back to their ability to hide their code, modify their defenses, even make it appear that they didn't exist.
It all made sense. "This is one of Juno's abilities," Vanguard snarled, pointing his cannon at Rosso. He knew it wouldn't do much good, but, his fires were roaring from their last encounter, and, this time, he didn't have a cat trying to flood the room. "Truth and Deceit. The world is not as it appears around him. He can modify other people's perception of reality, make what is a lie and what isn't a reality.
"Just someone else confirm to me that a red thing came crawling out of Genesis and consumed Sharo, please. If it's true, then you have a lot of explaining to do once we beat some answers out of Rosso, Genesis."
Pandemic.ERR
The large red mass rippled and screeched, each individual member letting out a cacophony of noise and rage. The school shifted this way and that, surveying its surroundings, as the dense pockets of bugged data emanating from its core began suffusing the air around it with static. It glared down at where the navis below it was, seeing their code and noting its own ability to sustain it. It looked further towards the arrival of the new individual - its memories called him Rosso.
It swam about in the air, moving rapidly, each moment growing larger as the world around it turned to mush, each second any semblance of what was left over of Sharo disintegrating beneath the weight of its corruption. For just a moment, its goal was not to attack - but to live.

*She had other things to take care of, so having to wait longer for her made sense. Then he felt the blip come back in, blinking once and looking at himself. He was completely disconnected of his own volition before, but then he was very clearly here right now. Had he been sent here by someone else? It would make sense in the off chance he was wrong, they got annoyed instead, and then sent him back to him since he was perfectly fine with him. Wouldn't be the first time they had disagreements on whose company they kept considering Embera's track record before now, but he should ask anyway.*
"PlagueMan, when did you get here? I thought you were still back with--"
*And then he came right back out of his systems. Well that would make sense because he didn't exactly choose to go back there on his own. And then the upheaval started, except on a much larger scale than it had at Element City. He wasn't being threatened this time, so why was it going out of control this time? Or rather, why would someone give him a program that was so difficult to not be dangerous with and send him out like this? It was just like all the problems of before again... working on quelling that frustration as he needed to get his bearings. The floor beneath him was gone, as were buildings, mountains, even the sky above them. Was everything bugged out? How was Sharo functioning like this? Electopia had gone into mass hysteria when their network was destroyed by Eon before, yet as far as he could tell Sharo was moving around their lives without issue. If their problems were this enormous asking for assistance would only be common sense... if they could tell what was happening. Something they clearly could not as the massive fish swarm that was brewing was just... gone. As was the devastated world all around them, simply as if they were events that never happened in the first place.*
"...This is..."
*This wouldn't be the first time this phenomenon took place. Events happening again but not recollected, things changing that had occurred... this was like six months ago. He thought that was all Vinyl's doing considering the guy hated hearing no as an answer, but long story short is that he was set up. Again. And the price this time was PlagueMan, now gone from sight and unable to make heads or tails what happened to him or the world around them. The change that happened this time would be Rosso revealing himself instead, recognizing it only briefly as he felt it from the global message before, but never in direct confrontation. The power of the one who reigned over those Reaverkings, Juno, was certainly in Rosso's possession as well. And Sharo was far from what it seemed. If he wasn't lying, then Psyche was safe at least. That was a bit of solace to take from this, as that meant the trap was just for him and not the Doctor. On the other hand, that meant they were in a particularly bad position right now if they thought that before it was marginally safer to not fight Rosso in Grom's territory.*
"You're the main reason his programming was having difficulties in the first place after you made your altercations to it. What did you do to him and all of Sharo? Or do you want us to force the answers out of you?"

So much happened in so little time that Faith could barely keep up -- needless to say her full attention was demanded in the here and now once again, rather than it being split like it normally was.
She shifted with the network as best she could as it seemed to be coming alive around them, the source of it being the red swarm that she was a bit too distracted earlier to have noticed coming from Genesis. But just as suddenly as it had spurred up, the scene had calmed down once again and all things returning to normal, bringing back her own memories of a power capable of this.
The presence made itself known from around one of the buildings, Faith calling it by name before he was fully revealed.
" Juno! "
But then as the true culprit completed his reveal, she began putting the two and two together.
" ... Rosso. "
A face to match the name, at last. The power in his hand being one that must have been stolen from Juno, whom she triggered the original awakening of years ago. She'd heard testimony of him wielding Falzar's power as well; who knew what else he was hiding.
The others' dialogue made more sense of the scene as she listened on.She certainly wanted to discuss things with this fellow, but it was fair to say Genesis deserved priority in their encounter, all things considered. Vanguard's explanation for the elements of Perception lined up with what she herself understood of them.
It left for a bit of uncertainty though, which needs clarifying. She didn't butt ahead of Genesis and didn't entirely ignore Vanguard's question as she couldn't confirm that it came from Genesis, but her own question toward Rosso confirmed she had at least witnessed what he had asked for all the same.
" Was what we just witnessed only perception, then? Or is this the perception, and the now-invisible havoc around us the reality? "
And so it all made sense why the leaked footage from before had excluded Rosso and his associated members despite them seemingly to have been there. It was just as Faith said at the time when Vanguard had played it back for her in the Forrest Network: "Deceit".
But there was more to it than face value, even as far as this second layer that they were on. Was the deception that he removed himself from that footage? Or was the deception that he never really was there to begin with and only perceived as such in the moment?
Knowing where they stood now would at least hint them on one or the other if he cared to share it.

"No need to worry, this isn't the reason for the footage at least. The havoc of before was the reality of the situation, but that's taken care of."
A being in predominantly black armor, he wore something akin to a black surcoat with a purple gem at his chest, red lines lacing his shoulders and his feet. He had purple guards on both forearms with a purple gem in both, the same guards on his shins down to his ankles with similar gems at the ankles and knees. Sharp red eyes with two red marks on the sides of his face, he had a helmet with two horns at the front and a blue gem at the front, red gems on the sides. And on his back, a strange and large blade. Ominous as it was, it was a black blade that was wide further down and growing thinner as one went closer to the tip of the blade, blue lines running through it with another purple gem adorning it. And further adding to the mystery was a face that was not unlike Rosso's own. And it was here that Mistair couldn't help a nagging sensation that was eating at her then, a headache oncoming that she tried to ignore. Rosso had ignored them just the same, instead turning his gaze upward.
"There's no reason for you to panic. You're already too late. But this isn't your fault. You were created by a human who wanted a tool of mass destruction. You resisted and chose to survive and prove to the world that you were better than that. But this world is no where near that forgiving. It paints you in whatever shade it wants. To them, you were little more than a blight upon the world from inception to now. You can never change their prejudice or their decisions. They're beyond it. They're worthless. So if they want a blight upon the world, they'll have one."
What they couldn't see was the world around Pandemic opening up as a gaping maw, swallowing it in whole. Even as it was being drawn in, all of what it was drawing from Sharo went with it and continued to do so. Something went in with it, two in fact, before the void closed. Pandemic was with them now, and that left them with the four that remained... the ones who were caught in their snare. Rosso remained silent, the other speaking instead.
"I am Nero, an obvious partner with Rosso. We let him become what the world wanted him to be. It's no fault of his own, he's innocent. He's just another victim of our making that was forced into our hands by an impatient world."
There was a pressure that fell over the area then. It didn't appear to affect their abilities, but that wasn't its intention. They would find escape to be a bit more difficult now, Nero smiling while Rosso maintained his usual grimace as one reached for the blade on his back, Rosso's own flames surging to life. They were in an even worse situation, this time with only one way out.
"Now go ahead and resist in futility. You still have something that belongs to us now."
Initiative to the Allied Front.

Vanguard.EXE
He eyed Rosso, his eyes quickly shifting back and forth between him and the newcomer, Nero, as he played through a million combat scenarios in his head, wondering if any of them would go as planned.
Faith's question was one that he was honestly having himself, but, for the time being, he was concerned about what Rosso was talking about. He, unfortunately, did not know much about the red mass that Genesis apparently had been protecting, so much of what Rosso said about him made no sense.
He was more interested in the new face, Nero, and his notes that they still had something that belonged to them. He looked over at Mistair, almost certain that they were talking about her, or over at Genesis, figuring the Onyx Overlord had enough power under his belt to potentially have something that they wanted. He turned his eyes back onto the current situation, though, well aware that they were in dire straights.
There was an enemy that he knew about, but only very little; and another enemy that he didn't know anything about, but held an aura about him similar to Rosso. He knew that Rosso was capable of emulating abilities that he had seen, and apparently also had access to what Faith referred to as the Perception Elements. Aside from that, he only knew about his unique defense that connected him to Magnolia, and that he was adept at throwing around his flames without hurting anyone he didn't intend to hurt.
He hated that they had once again fallen into a trap that they had orchestrated, and yet made it look as safe as they could've hoped for before triggering it. Decisions to deal with, however, when they were out of the way. Now wasn't a time for lofty goals, but, they could at least put together information, and hope for something to come of it after they inevitably lose. They simply didn't have the resources to deal with two of them at once, or, at least, he didn't think they did.
Sir. Armiger and I were talking, and. . .
Vanguard jumped, looking down suddenly at his coils, which had lined up perfectly to reveal Armiger and Centurion's navi crests. Looking down, Vanguard thought long and hard about it, and came to a simple conclusion without hearing the rest of their request.
You two want to fight, then?
The answer was unanimous, and Vanguard only nodded in response. If he continued to hold their hands and treat them like lessers, they would never gain the experience necessary to be where he was, now, nor would he be any different from the humans that would hold him down in the company's servers if they could. He fought against Magnolia with less experience than Armiger, so, surely he could understand the two of them getting restless.
He picked up Centurion's Navi crest and fastened it to his, Centurion's signature spear design expanding to lock around his like an additional layer. Vanguard picked up Armiger and tossed him, the navi crest rapidly generating ice around it, the suit of armor already forming from a mist as it found its way onto Genesis. The armor spread over the Onyx Overlord's entire being, and Vanguard held up his hand as a current of energy sprung over his body, solidifying into the Centurion's Spear within his grip.
"I provide tactical insight. You two, follow your directives, and my insight," Vanguard said simply, as he turned the spear in his hand. "The one that just joined with you is called the Armiger, Genesis. One of the navis I mentioned. He's a capable defender and combatant - he'll explain the rest to you."
Meanwhile, Vanguard had his own things to worry about. He allowed Centurion the time he needed to get situated, and planned his own actions thereafter.
Centurion.EXE
Centurion connects to Vanguard's chest piece, instantly beginning to download his own files into Vanguard's repertoire. Because of the strain that this initial download implies, Centurion isn't of use much elsewhere, and, so, simply focuses on supporting where he can while he can.
The air around Vanguard ripples within electrical energy as what appears to be another spear appears next to him, the spear throwing itself into the ground just behind the group of now six navis. The roar and tempest of the battle resonated from the flying standard with Centurion's spear upon it, all present feeling their power enhanced by it.
In order to provide a little additional support, Centurion noted the Onyx Overlord and generated a field of energy around him, the powerful electrical impulses arcing across his body and into his weapon systems, empowering him blow for blow. He granted a similar power to Vanguard, aware of how this fight may go.
"Alright. That's all I will give it for the time being, sir. We're connected and good.
"I'll trust you to keep me out of harm's way. Go give 'em trouble."

Vanguard watched as Centurion set up his protective measures, well aware of the Navi's advances in combative enhancement. Grinning at his words, Vanguard spun the spear in his hands to test his weight, and set off to do that which no one else could do better: Test the waters.
He wanted to start off small. Ramping up his speed, Vanguard threw his onboard targeting systems out of his peripheral vision for a bit, relying on the additional power that Centurion provided him. Charging his spear with his own darklight flames, Vanguard gave two careful, prodding stabs at Rosso to see how he would respond, and then moved his attention over to Nero.
Holding up the spear, Vanguard placed the first chip of many into the slotted coils, and the darklight energy erupted into a wave of powerful electricity and energy. He needed to know what Nero did when pressured, even if only remotely, and, given time, knew that Centurion would help him pick up on his less than optimal start. He was honestly a little too used to the additional speed that his NIA Isolator provided, but, would do his best to make up for it.
Once his Bug Death Thunder was fired, Vanguard pressed inward, aiming his spear for the crook between his hand and his blade, hoping to disarm the man of his weapon.

*Well, it was easy without the introduction for him to know who this was. This was Nero, the one Rosso had mentioned before. And he knew without even seeing what Rosso was looking at who he was talking to and what it was about. Rosso's view of the world was in full view again, and yet... he couldn't exactly say that was wrong of him. It would take time, but even he would agree that it was no doubt impossible for him to ever get everyone to accept him. That just wasn't how reality worked, even if that was a bitter fact they had to face. But he couldn't spend time agreeing with his point of view, instead taking on Armiger without an issue.*
"Got it. Don't freak out when the going get's tough. You're in for a rough ride."
*Considering what happened to Rammount from just fighting one of them, this was bound to be even more intense than that. That being said, Rosso didn't see fit to draw the sword as of yet from the look of it. He would have to cast aside his own reserves about his own this time, space warping around Nero and aiming to take him apart as he called forth the gun from before, firing once as he closed the distance after slashing out with a clawed strike that tore at both, the ground launching blades up at them alike. This was concluded by the crescents of light and him vanishing, appearing behind them and striking with an obsidian energy blade. It was time to see whether or not these attacks would work or not. Not to mention they said that they had something else that was theirs... there were a few options, but ultimately it was vague just the same. How bothersome...*

#s://i~imgur~com/AESZGIl~png Faith furrowed her eyes at Nero's words, specifically the ones used to describe Rosso. The same determination she wore when fighting Deav came over her once more -- odds were none of her concern, responsibility was.
" If that's the way it has to be, then. "
She seemed primarily focused with Nero, her words intending to do the cutting, not her dagger.
Given past experiences though, sometimes people still dodged the hypothetical attacks too, so I mean which ever it was going to be really.
Mistair's suffering would go mostly unnoticed, but she was abnormally quiet. Well, abnormally by Faith's standards at least. Her eyes stayed on her target as she tilted her head ever slightly to the side to address her.

One unknown and one... relatively unknown all the same. He was always relatively oppressive in a fight, but a lot of that didn't exactly leave much known about his overall ability. In fact in most battles he was knowledgeable enough to not require exerting himself and the closest they would have had of that would have been the ones who engaged him the longest, be that at Element City or Rammount. In that case, judging from the terrain at large...
"Rosso isn't exactly the most blatantly known agent in the group. He often uses oppressive force to bring things to a quick conclusion. We're in an open enough space for him to likely decide that Gehenna's fine to toss up into the air too. It's a sun in close proximity, meaning you end up scorched. As for his new partner..."
There was nothing to know about him. So she would focus on defense first and let them do their offense instead, be it her allies or their enemies coming up.
-
Nero under pressure provided a rather callous sight, keeping a steady stride as the attacks his way dissipated. The spear strike made it through however, Nero still glancing toward him as he kept going. His eyes instead were focused on Faith and Genesis instead. His intent was obvious and laid out for them to see, plain and simple. If nothing else he decided to reply to Vanguard if nothing else, launching a bird of azure flame back at the zealot casually. The air felt like it was cutting into their skin, as if they were on edge from his very presence.
"Well would you look at that, someone else willing to take a bullet for you. You're running out of family and friends, Genesis."
He launched off with a sneer, thunder breaking loose with each swing of his sword. The force of the swing rocked the area, be it through sound or force alone to batter both of the ones he considered his targets. Vanguard, on the other hand, got a worse surprise from Rosso. The attacks were completely ineffective against him, the enforcer snapping his finger as the flame started to form near each of them and exploding. The pilot light of the fight that he offered them.

Armiger.EXE
Armiger simply did what any good armor could do, and held on tight, morphing and molding to help Genesis respond better to attacks as he moved. He didn't seem intent on getting hit by the assault as it started off, leaving him in the winds and his defensive prowess currently unnecessary.
"I don't know how much help it will be, but, I can at least test if either of their barriers are weak to my blade. If it does nothing, nothing loss. If it triggers something else, well, we learned something, right?"
Armiger dropped the temperature wildly, forming blades of ice from the air that he pelted down upon Rosso and Nero.

Vanguard.EXE
Vanguard's attacks got through to Nero, or, at least, his own assault did. His Bug Death Thunder evaporated, just as his attacks did against Magnolia from what felt so long ago. Still, this was progress. Watching his own attacks strike true, and even seeing Faith's attacks land at home. Still, Faith seemed to be struggling, and if he remembered anything from their last fight, Faith relied more heavily on chips than even he did.
That proved very problematic. His own arsenal was comparatively sub-par without his access to his auxiliary options, but she seemed to be nearly lost without access. "Centurion. Your efforts are greatly appreciated, but, someone else needs your expertise more than me. I'm disengaging, I believe Ms. Nymphra is in need of your services." Vanguard grabbed the symbol on his crest and removed it, Centurion turning back into energy as he reasserted himself within the core. As Vanguard began moving, he passed the symbol to Faith, taking what he had learned in a small span of time.
He didn't know how to combat Rosso. His flames proved to do next to nothing. He'd keep trying, of course, but, if he knows one tell, then, he had to follow it through. First, however, he had to deal with the red and blue flames going his way. Vanguard released his corporeal form again, moving as a specter of his own purple flames. The world slowed down just a bit with all of his other resources on standby, and dipped over the blazing blue flames. Then, as Rosso's red sun appeared next to him, he flared up a gentle blaze around his body that petered it out.
That out of the way, Vanguard got moving. Shifting the fires within his chamber, Vanguard reset a few priorities, preparing for a long game of figuring out Nero's specifics. He had a few theories that he gathered in a short amount of time, but, nothing solid. With Centurion no longer in his command, his hits wouldn't be as potent, but, he had all of his resources at his disposal. Given the time to strike back, he could potentially put a large dent in Nero's defenses.
He charged his fist with excess power, moving in close to the man with the big sword throwing out incredible power. He didn't hit quite as hard as was his signature, but, that would come in due time. He struck once, at his waist, his fists blazing a color different from all the others, and then moved back, his fist rapidly shifting into his signature cannon. The collateral damage was wracking up quickly, but, he had to remind himself that the network was free of any concerns now. Any semblance of destruction around them was just another falsehood to look through.
His new gloves, courtesy of his reaver mineral, glowed with energy as he prepared his next attack. The energy from his master's gloves coiled over his attack, the cannon fire doubling and spiralling together as it went to Nero's chest.
Then, he tested out another option, charging Nero up front. His verniers coiled up smoke as he went into strike him. It was a wild thought, but it almost made sense - who would go through the effort of using weakened attacks, like those empowered by crippling effects, if they thought they were going to be ineffective anyways?

He felt kind of like a hot potato, now, but, he understood his commander's sentiments. Connecting to a new body, Centurion started the process all over again, dumping his combat files into a system that felt far less prepared for the upgrade than Vanguard's. He kept his mouth shut about that particular thought, however.
"Greetings, Ms. Nymphra. Vanguard sends his regards, and I send your way a large payload of offensive capabilities. Keep me posted on how I can be of service, but, for the time being, I'm settling in."

[Centurion Bonds with Faith!] 1. [Offensive Navi Equipment] [Advanced] Unique to the Navis under Project Darklight is the trait that the "Navi" is actually the equipment the humanoid form appears to carry. Centurion is the spear, and can be utilized by others in combat as the ultimate weapon. - Centurion begins the battle Unbonded - By sacrificing a full offensive phase, Centurion binds himself to an ally - Centurion's turn will always precede his Wielder's -- While Bound: -- Centurion and his Wielder may still be targeted individually and may still intercept for each other as normal but disregard "Cannot be Intercepted" when doing so. Centurion is considered to have avoided any attack avoided by his wielder. -- Wielder's Attacks gain damage equal to (Centurion's Base Damage - 100) -- Wielder gains +1 Auto-Charge for every "Pass" Centurion made that turn. When the wielder charges attacks using these auto-charges, they are imbued as though Centurion had charged them. -- Wielder gains access to Centurion's C-Range Regular Attacks -- Centurion may manually charge his C-Attacks for his wielder -- Centurion may imbue benefits onto his C-Attacks for his wielder --- Centurion cannot use his own C-Range Regular Attacks --- Centurion may only possess 1 C-Range Attack as per B-Tier Progression --- Centurion deals 50% Damage with his own Attacks --- Centurion is forcefully Unbound if inflicted with any Non-Custom, Non-Hidden, Named Status Effect. His wielder can prevent this by willingly taking the status effect as well (Pierces All Immunity) --- Centurion and Wielder cannot interact with other Union Abilities while Bonded ---- [Advanced]
[Centurion's Spear] [Variable, 2 Skills] The Centurion's Spear is a power weapon when wielded by the right individual, and capable in anyone's hands who will listen to his expertise. - Centurion gains [5 * V] 55 Damage. Each turn while bonded, this increases by an additional [5 * V], to a maximum of +220 Damage after four turns. [C-Tier] (Currently +110) -- Centurion may add an Omni-Aimer of choice to 2 Charged Attacks, per turn. The attack is also considered Aimed. [A-Tier] --- [Passive]

Faith stepped back at Nero's first swing -- the thundering force behind it causing her hair and clothing to kick violently in the wind as if retreating from the mysterious man.
" ! "
It was enough to shake her, to say the least. That a single blow could have ended her right then and there if she hadn't evaded. Her eyes and body illuminated with the crimson haze that the others had seen before in her last fight, signifying a brief empowerment as the remaining blows came.
As if with fast-forwarded movements, she maneuvered deftly around each one, taking note that they seemed to be getting stronger with each successive swing. The area that she had been standing in just moment ago was razed completely, and that was just as collateral from the wind of the attacks. Rosso's warning shot was avoided purely by the nature of her spending the extra effort to Nero's own attacks; she probably wouldn't have noticed it otherwise.
He went on to sink his words into Genesis who had been equipped with Armiger for this bout.
" As if you're only operating under your own raw strength. We already saw Rosso use Juno's power, so what's juicing you up, Nero? "
He seemed cocky enough to brag, at least. Faith didn't put much hope in the gamble that he would, but it'd be more knowledge than Mistair was able to give her at least.
Centurion came to her now as she retaliated -- some strikes ringing true against these two, but most of them failing to the perplexing palings they used. Lightning surged around the arm holding the spear as he spoke to her. She didn't respond back just yet, her mind in the heat of things but still set on a predetermined course of action for this specific moment.
Still hastened with the augments demanded by her evasive maneuvers, Faith advanced with dagger and spear, the former of which would rapidly shift colors and properties between her barrage of seemingly aimless swings as she searched hastily for anything in her own arsenal that could challenge these mysterious defensive fields. She'd need some time to familiarize herself with how to best utilize Centurion as she normally didn't fight with spears, but she was a quick enough learner on the fly.
For now, sizing them up further would be progress in and of itself.
