Kane stood with his Halberd at the ready. He liked showing up early, but he was never able to say Krystania showed up late because she was very punctual. Nevertheless, rather than getting comfy, he stood at the ready.

The sound of footsteps approaching would draw Kane's attention as the woman began to approach. Her weapon was yet undrawn, as she didn't plan to draw it upon her brother in any sort of anger. They were just to test their skills- that had been the suggestion, to see if a combat between them could jog any memories from her, or him too, and give them something to work from. But all the same, she was hard presed to actually consider fighting Kane full out.
"You're early," she commented with a small smile as she shifted her stance, watching him. "Even though I'm on time, it seems I'm late," she added with a small laugh, before she noted the man's halberd. He was ready. She nodded at him, knowing without words that he was still quite ready to do this. "Very well. I will not attempt to dissuade you once more. We will fight with all that we have," she commented, finally beginning to draw her blade.

Kane kneeled down. Krystania would realize that he would of course begin in a defensive stance if she were to make the first move. Her blade would meet his handle, thrusting her back. He simply ate the Dark Wave as he began charging forward, feinting her into a clash with his halberd once more, before finally unleashing his own series of strikes.

She gave a small sound as she felt her weapon crash against him, before she shifted herself around, noting that the energy from her own attacks that would soon be used against her. Not one to shy away from combat, even against her brother, the woman darted forward, letting ice wrap around her blade before she brought it down upon him, readying it to leave him frozen within its grasp. As soon as the weapon came down, it triggered into a flurry of ice shards while she darted back away, pirouetting before slashing downward with the remaining ice from her weapon flying at Kane!

Kane waits for Krystania to rush forward, he raised his halberd to match her strikes once more, but she had first flurried him in a blanket of ice. Before he could react, her blade split his armor, staggering him. The final blow swept his legs, knocking him backwards. From the ground fire engulfs him and flips him upward, launching him towards Krystania as he slams his halberd towards her. Sidestepping, he raises his halberd and channels a new energy all within an instant. He grabs his halberd with both hands, tilts it downward and attempts to pierce it through Krystania. He finishes off by spinning the halberd around for a slash of fire, continuing his spin by dropping low and backwards, feinting Krystania into fighting his defensive position once more, though his heavy panting ruins his form.

The two siblings squared off, and there was a hard moment as she had unleashed her attacks against him, not holding anything back. She knew that if she did so, and she tried to limit herself against him in some way, that he would know. And he sought so hard to protect her and everyone around him... that she couldn't help but to find herself admiring her brother's willingness to throw himself headlong into danger, even as her attack removed his balance, he went with it easily, turning it around into an attack only he'd be able to pull off.
"Well done, brother!" she called out cheerily, even as he began to adopt a new level of power... and rush toward her.

The initial strike from the halberd landed true, but almost in a mirror of what Kane had done previously, the woman used that momentum for herself, dancing as elegantly as a dancer as the powerful thrust attack struck where she'd been but a moment prior and she continued her own dance, darting to the side to avoid the flames, before she once more engaged with her frozen assault!

Reading her moves, Kane prepared hoping Krystania had forgotten. After he took the frozen attack, Krystania once more moved in for a close combat attack. As her weapon collided with her armor, he simultaneously countered with a piercing strike from his halberd. After moving away, she would notice that his armor had become coated in pure dark energy. The darkness within his soul possessed his armor and protected him, yet it was clear that he was still near his limit. Grabbing his halberd with two hands, he spun around and stepped forward attempting a simple slash at his dear sister, followed by the same spin and forward movement with another slash.
