So they were right to assume that they had to keep a low profile around these parts for so long. The first to arrive was Magnolia, frowning a bit at the sight for only two seconds. The next to arrive appeared from the mirror, his eyes orbs narrowing ever so slightly at the sight. So these two resonating with that pod was relevant in how they would stand their ground for a bit. They couldn't let themselves be slowed down too much by these two, so he began to move his own rod in hand as a flicker in the sky above could be seen at the same time. What the flicker was became evident shortly after as two crimson blasts were unleashed from elsewhere and fell down to here with pinpoint accuracy. What came of the moving rod was a violent tornado that planned take them and the doorway behind them away with an oppressive amount of force that eclipsed the two shots that had been fired before it.

It really was nothing for them to fight off this force. The crimson alone absolute annihilates the Navis, with everything else coming out as little more than overkill. But then, another two walk out from within the small building and take their place. And a few more appear behind them. And even more than that, another now stands uncomfortably close behind Magnolia, staring at her with dead, unblinking eyes while not so much as even moving.

"Huh."
Not even so much as token resistance? Well that was unexpected. Just like the multitude that started to come out after. This must have been related to getting back to the satellite. Were they bodies being remotely controlled by whoever MagicMan was talking to through the puppets? It reminded her of someone she wasn't too fond of, noticing the one behind her. Was it observing her? Another surge of wind, this time an azure, followed around them as the wind bearer made his way for the doors to head inside for pursuit, Magnolia's eyes showing her silent contemplation. ...Right, she supposed this was as good a time as any to do it again. She was planning to use this in a certain someone's smug face, but this was another time to do it as well.
"Let me hit one next time."
"Got it."
He knew what she was after if that was the case. It lined up with things rather well and would be beneficial than if he kept attacking the zombie-like navis.

The doors open... but the sight is not welcome. The doorway slowly opens up, but the invader is greeted by another set of dead eyes... and another, and another, and yet another. What awaits behind the newly opened doors is a literal mass of writhing, cold data. A wall comprised of twisted, undead bodies of Navis of various design packed into one space so tightly that they leave no room for anything else, and they're far from alone. The empty field is now quickly filling up as more and more Navis rise from beyond the grave, all eerily looking at the invaders with dead, soulless eyes in absolute silence.
And then the silence breaks.
A laughter that glitches the very core of Gigamerica with its resounding insanity, a sound that causes physical pain to hear. The world darkens to night, and from the ground rises a tell-tale black mist. Ten thousand eyes look out, all belonging to one being, and from the mist he rises. Mist, Sorrow, Darkness... Caliga.
Caliga: Leaving so soon? But why? You're my honored guests!
Caliga floats a few feet off the ground, as if lounging with his legs crossed as he glares on with a wicked, knowing smile.

He knew if his partner was here he would commend them for their ability to compartmentalize them all into such a space. Which to be fair, he would admit to some degree that it was impressive to house this many corpses in one space. It took quite the trained hand before his partner could accomplish the same, so he would say this one was more talented in this expertise in the end.
"Tch."
But that didn't matter as it all came together for him. That was why she planned to hit one of them already with that perception of hers. This was all a part of the show that they were already on stage for. It wasn't quite the situation that they planned for when they snared this one, but it was fine. If it was going to be emptying the graves of all of Gigamerica in order to proceed forward, he would do so and then some. The black mist that brought with it the chilling laughter of oh so many nightmares.
"Because we have a dinner date elsewhere, duh."
For the time being it meant they would have to deal with this, though they had the others to not be slowed down here. Chasing two hares would mean losing both as well, so there was no reason to go about it the way they planned to either. Actually, this would make for quite the fitting reunion today. That was quite a funny stroke of happenstance as well thanks to that decision they made back there when they gouged out someone's fangs.
"But if you want to keep your guests, you'd have to at least be willing to accomodate them. Otherwise it's just a bad show."

As if we wanted to keep trash like you two around. From behind one of the walking dead pierced a blade of crimson red. The remains of the poor soul scattered into white shreds of data which were absorbed into her blade. Reanimated Inori stood tall and spun her blade before swiping it to her side.

Caliga, still lounging in mid-air with a knowing smile, looks on to Magnolia with grinning eyes. He uncrosses his legs and glances in the direction of the reanimated Inori before laughing under his breath.
Caliga: As you can see, I have ways of keeping my guests... entertained.
Caliga's clawed hand rises and curls to a clutching gesture. The four diamonds attached to the controller on his back begin to spew out an abominable light that reveals the cords snaking their way through the mist, and a full set binding poor Inori as she stands in unwilling defiance.
Caliga: And on that, I do have a game that I'd be willing to play with you...
Caliga's eyes slide over to the small building. The diamonds on his controller once again light up, and the wall of corpses begins to shake slightly, revealing the slightest crack.
Caliga: I have no love for Gate, and I don't really like his whole firmware idea. So how about a special set of rules?
Caliga reaches out a hand towards Magnolia and smiles a wicked grin, allowing his eyes to turn pitch black as he does so.
Caliga: You agree to stay and play alone, your little friend and whoever else you have behind you goes to catch MagicMan and the contagion.
The diamonds glow again, and the pile of bodies re-solidifies, much to Caliga's enjoyment.
Caliga: I have the whole of Gigamerica's deaths at the hands of Eon's reveal on this spot alone, with far more coming. You may be able to beat me, but not even Forte himself could reach MagicMan before he and the contagion drop off of your radar forever. Your one chance, and all that it will cost you is a bit of fun for me.
Caliga reaches out his clawed hand again and looks on with an ever-growing smile.
Caliga: Do we have an... accord?

"A tool who lived as a dreamless puppet should quietly move as their strings allow, lest they be cut."
The one who served as the first calling card from Caliga. They were aware of the effort it would have taken to have pulled it off that time, let alone how much it would take once he was done putting his foot down here. All he would need to do now is let those chips from on high fall down right here instead of where they were resting now. And the wind started to surge up as if in response, but to what was yet to be seen.
"No need for the hostility, Verde. It isn't her fault she had a crappy hand in life and beyond."
She chose to get involved and was strung along by at least four set of strings. The ones that were torn in her heart by the cat, the ones that tied her to her silly dark hunt that got her in this predicament, the ties that she had when she engaged Rosso with that general's strings, and now the strings on her now. Each one ended in disaster for her again and again, so she should be allowed to dream that this was the best set of cords that could string her along. So instead the chips would stay where they were, Verde closing his eyes instead as the cutting wind stayed around him. It appeared as though despite the unknowns he possessed he was willing to adhere to her judgment on the matter.
"We have an accord, as I am quite fond of games. I'm even willing to throw in a bit of honesty to liven things up for you, if you don't mind."
Her own smile had returned by now despite having all the specimen here to show all too well what details it involved. She waved her hand to basically give Verde the shoo sign, he in return bracing the hand aside with his hand at her smirk.

Caliga gives an amicable smile and a nod at Magnolia's words. A wave of his claw, a shine of the four diamonds on his controller, and the minions that he'd summoned follow along with his agreement and fall away lifelessly. The way deeper is opened, and Magnolia's compatriots are granted access to their goal. In this, Caliga gives the signal for Inori to wait as he finally lowers himself to the mist below and takes a stand, holding out his clawed hands all the while.
Caliga: By all means. This shouldn't just be fun for me, after all.

Verde looked on for a moment longer, but not much longer than that as he made his move toward their goal. The other who had caught up hadn't even slowed down, as Glint blazed past and through as well. It felt like more than two had passed by in the end, but from the look of it there was still but the two who had left in the end. For the honesty, it was something that was likely rather unexpected, keeping her eyes are the jester while not making an attempt at leaving herself.
"In terms of which person in the world is most problematic to our plans, you would be at the forefront of them all, Caliga. Not the ones who lurk in cracks that we filled, nor the ones who strike with fabled and untold strength. Not the ones with all the wits that the world could ask for. No... it would be one who can tug on the strings we've laid on everyone. But going into detail would ruin some of the fun the others had setting it all up, so I won't."
It sounded ominous in nature. They weren't as concerned about the ones who could find any number of possible locations to hide and fortify themselves? They weren't as concerned for the ones who possessed enough strength to bring the entire world to its knees? They weren't as concerned with the one who was able to think and construe a strategy that could potentially work against them? Instead their concern laid with someone else who could control others... something that it appears that they had already done as well.
"While the special set of rules has been fulfilled, we didn't actually cover the base set of rules, did we? Or should those be a surprise?"

Caliga's eyes narrow as his painted smile sneers. A clawed hand clutches the air in front of him and rises ominously while the diamonds on his controller flash in rhythm with his movements.
Caliga: We fight alone... or rather we would, but....
Caliga's knowing smile grows as he clenches both clawed hands, looking on with excitement.
Caliga: That's not possible for you, is it?.
Caliga's clawed hand motions for Magnolia as the Dark Jester looks on, ready to begin his final curtain call.

ReInori stabbed her blade into the ground, and crossed her arms allowing the enemy to move forward.
Lord Caliga, I will allow you to enjoy the first few punches on your own. But I have a feeling you're about to have too much fun, so I will join in shortly after.

"That's a pretty funny condition considering what others would say about your way of fighting. Still... you're half-correct at least~"
It sounded like at the very least she would disagree with others about Caliga's combative approach. But that aside at the end of her final sentence that the coy in her voice was for once betrayed by an unmistakable feeling of blood-lust despite the easy smile on her face. It was here that she started lifting her hand too, but what happened because of it was much more sinister in nature. The first to notice it would be Caliga himself, as well as the clear discrepancy with what was noticed as well. He was still in Gigamerica as far as he was aware, and yet it was as if his connection there was severed. He couldn't still be in Gigamerica despite the sight and area around him still reflecting as such. She would call this the initiative but honestly speaking, they both knew the exchange had started long before they verbally agreed to do the battle. And so her left arm blurred first as a barrage of orange blanketed the field of view, about three dozen blade strikes being unleashed to engulf the area that Caliga encompassed in front of her and then some.

The blood lust was more than expected, as was the mad rush... this shift in reality, on the other hand...
Caliga's relaxed expression cracks to one of confused annoyance. He offers no offensive response to Magnolia, instead just disintegrating into his tell-tale mist and dissipating with each blow launched before re-forming before the next. After her final strike, Magnolia would see Caliga rise from the mist a fair distance away from her, now looking somewhat annoyed.
Caliga: An attempt to ensure that I can't just come back later if you land the killing blow, or perhaps a move to your own home-field advantage...?
Caliga holds out his hand and reveals a small, red, "L" shaped trinket in his palm
Caliga: It doesn't matter, because you fail to realize; the WWW has a far deeper hold on Gigamerica than you could possibly know. And while I don't particularly like his presence, I don't mind using it today.
The insignia shines, and from it a gray orb rises. The orb expands outward and turns to a tell-tale yellow color, enshrouding Caliga entirely and beginning to actively fight with whatever force seemed to take over the New Hope network, battling for control over the network's functions.
Caliga, meanwhile, just crosses his legs and hovers in mid-air once again while smiling at Magnolia

ReInori spent this spare time to analyze the enemy. She was completely unaware of the effects to the network until she understood it from Caliga's response. She simply couldn't feel the effects, and wouldn't care either. She's just a puppet now after all, she might as well have some fun.
Your focus is off, enemy of Caliga. Are you letting your anger get the best of you? A lot of you seems to just be face value so far. This will get boring fast if all you have is petty tricks.
