Rising like a monolith above the splendor of the Gigamerican landscape, a gigantic, disk-shaped structure sits among the clouds on a titanic tower to the heavens. This is the site of one of the greatest cities on all of the net: Giga City, and the Command Center New Hope which lies within.
New Hope was the first titanic base constructed by the ONB, with its plan followed closely in the creation of New Life in Electopia. It is a heavily armored base with shielding second to none. Entrance is virtually impossible to stage an assault against, and impossible to sustain a siege against due to its tremendous resource-base.
At the base of the tower-shaft, the sprawling Giga City is among the largest on the net. Home to millions, this metropolis has few to rival it, and none to better it. Every country on earth is represented here in some way, and it reflects in the tremendous amount of diversity, though that diversity has dwindled in recent years with the lack of access to the world at large.
Overall, Giga City stands as a shining example of what this day-and-age represents to the world.

As Hollow and Jax rise, they find themselves standing at the lip of the Energy Stream, revealing that it appears to be a fissure in the net around, as if a still-bleeding wound of memories past. Beyond it, however, is the expansive glory of Giga City; a metropolis long cut off from the world around it. The city shines in restored beauty after the attacks from Eon decades ago, and looks as good as new. Crowds bustle about the stream and seem to ignore the duo as they emerge, thinking nothing of Navis being beyond the barriers to the fabled fissure. All but one, that is.
One Navi makes his way to the group; a Navi with a crimson visor, helmet with an ornate, white, bladed headpiece, and a crimson cape that covers a sword and shield. As he approaches, he looks them over and finally stops a few yards away, showing no sign of aggression.
Discord: ....well, I guess that it couldn't stay closed forever.

Jax Jax surveys the expansive and at ease mega-city. His eyes drift skyward towards the New Hope fortress above, to the thousands of navis navigating around them, and then finally coming to rest at Discord. While he surveys with his eyes, he also taps into the network below. Getting a thorough reading of the network and city. While also attempting to discern more of this rift that is so non-nonchalantly here.

Hollow.___
He glanced around at the burgeoning city, a taboo of existence hidden within a rift. He had noticed some time ago that Gigamerica was impossible to connect to, and, yet, the network lived on, right before them. He never had any reason to visit the network, and could not find nostalgia within its appearance - would he even recognize that feeling? - but did find intrigue in the person that came to greet them.
"You hid yourself here," he stated plainly, looking back at the rift they ascended from. "And created this rift as your escape. The ruins we discovered. . . how are they connected to this Network? Why?"

Discord stays quiet for a second, looking over Hollow through his visor in silence for a moment before finally speaking up.
Discord: Yeah, sure. I totally made the giant data-gash in the network that you just crawled out of and hid myself in one of the largest cities on the net.
Just barely visible under his crimson red visor, Discord rolls his eyes and shakes his head.
Discord: Don't know much about net-geography, eh? What you just crawled out of is the Energy Stream, one of the defining and ancient anomalies of Gigamerica. But hey, that brings up a more important question;
Discord now comes across as slightly more threatening. While he makes no move to attack, it's obvious that he's ready to defend.
Discord: Why are you here?

Hollow.___
As quick and snappy as the navi's sarcasm was, so, too, was Hollow's plaintive and utterly oblivious response. "No, you misunderstand; I did not imply that you, singularly, hid here. I meant 'you,' as in, the whole of Gigamerica. I was implying that the city hid away here, and that the void was the anomaly that brought it here." It seemed the sarcasm was lost upon Hollow. Without any inkling of recognition towards emotions, Discord's response was taken for what Discord understood of the situation - and thus Hollow assumed him to foolishly misunderstand.
He looked about, turning around - his body simply turning without any clear indication that something beneath his robe was moving - to survey his surroundings. The sudden change in the navi's demeanor alerted him only because of the question, not due to an association with his demeanor to violence. "This scar is connected to an ancient ruin within Element City. While under attack, a certain cretin exploited the chaos to discover the ruin and reconnect this scar to this network. We followed in pursuit."

Discord continues to look on with a blank, almost tired expression from behind his visor, shaking his head slightly.
Discord: Uh-huh...
Before he continues, Discord's shield arm emerges from his cape with a Dark Recovery chip in-hand. He crushes the chip and allows a black and purple field to rush over his body before he continues.
Discord: Well then, how about this; go back through your worm-hole to Electopia so that I can patch it up when you're on the other side. Gigamerica doesn't really welcome visitors anymore.

Jax Jaxs' ears perk up at the words energy stream. He turns around and eyes the anomaly. Making mental notes of its unique signature and surroundings while cataloging it for his own purposes. Then he turns and simply starts walking away. Off to explore the city proper, its outskirts, and whatever else may lay in this network. Ignoring Hollow and Discord entirely.

Hollow.___
Hollow turned his attention back to the other Navi as he felt the shift in the air; the flow and ebb of battle he so readily recognized. Glancing down a the dark chip he crushed in his hand, and the dark aura that soon enveloped him, Hollow thought about the risks that this particular aura implied. He was either heavily wounded and unsure of the fight to follow, or immune to the detriments.
Either way, it seemed Hollow had a challenger before him. Staring back at the navi, his own form unflinching, Hollow's body began crackling with electrical power, the arcs of yellow lightning giving way to black, switching to fields of pure blue energy, and shifting back to yellow. "If I were to say no?"

Discord shrugs his shoulders and shakes his head a bit, letting silence drop for a moment before he continues.
Discord: Then you'll be trapped on this side. Lota' funny stuff happening elsewhere, and Gigamerica is shutting down as much as we can to keep it out of here. So I don't really care what you do, just so long as you do it pretty quickly here.
Discord then crosses his arms and waits. His expression remains blank despite his visor covering his eyes, but he waits somewhat patiently for Hollow's response.

Hollow.___
The crackling field of electricity around his body dissipated, and the wizard-like Navi sized up what would have been a potential opponent. He did not have any disappointment, nor did he have any investment within the fight. No . . . he just had an opportunity, and it was now lost.
So strange, feeling the tide of battle and then feeling it crest and crash. He turned away from the other Navi, looking back at the rift he had came from, and simply walked towards it as his answer. "Very well. I have no other business here, then. Goodbye."

Gigamerica cutting itself off as much as it was had always placed it on their radar. Because Sharo had done the same, and they knew themselves what that had meant. Millions were here, the fortress was strong and built around the same time as New Life that stood stalwart for years, meaning that everything was perfectly fine in Gigamerica. Except that all of these served only as signs that Gigamerica had always been under use for all these years with likely the natives none the wiser. But their descent would be swift and sure for their attack here. Unlike the other areas, there was just one tear that opened at the time with a group of three jumping out of it already. Curious as that was, the one to speak up first was the largest among them.
"Verde, you know what to do."
He nodded, his eyes looking both ways but once. Recon was something that he had quite an extensive amount of experience in, especially with this world. He had spent most of the time here doing exactly that, lifting off of the ground just a bit as the mirrors rose up from the ground at various parts, close and far from the one who called them. Most would attribute them only to an increase in his offensive approach, but they served for something much more important than that. Instead they started to show a reflection, as if they were analyzing and scoping out Gigamerica now.

It would take several minutes of searching, but eventually the mirror-utilizing being would find the source of the energy drain, though it had been routed through at least a dozen different areas. It originates in a small area not far from the energy stream, where a single outpost is set near a small airfield. Closer inspection reveals that the base is meagerly guarded, and that one particular Navi is having a talk with a worker.
MagicMan: ...to finish moving the virus. The final rockets should be ready to launch by now in the real world, and that will enable our last layer. The Electopian forces are in position, and Alzate should be extracted within the hour. That alone is a hard blow as we still don't have the origin point yet, but that's what we have these redundancies for. Right now, we need to move this guy out of here so that we can re-plant him later.
MagicMan motions to a capsule nearly identical to the one that had held Alpha before, but this one is obviously far more active. It's radiating strange, red waves and is displaying a direct connection to both MagicMan and this guard Navi, though the visible nature of these connections seems to fade the farther out it goes.

It only made sense to reroute through so many areas. Using only one line to produce the results would lead to various problems if so. But the reflections shone for Magnolia and Glint to listen and witness as well. A virus, huh? Not to mention they were going to fire some rockets over on the real world side. That would suck for those snared in the machinations no doubt, but it would probably get them out of range. If they got out of range, then their eyes would be able to open thanks to their new provided angle. While it was a bit late into the game to matter, no one here would be pleased to find that one out. Looks like they had more than one planted around after all too. Not to mention the connection that they had with what was in the capsule. That strange feeling that tugged at Magnolia when she went to dispatch of that tool at the hideout.
"So that's how it is. How eerie that so many things are similar."
"Not at all. It simply shows that our overall understanding is aligned."
He would keep up the search while they got to work as well. But they would have to make haste so they could catch them unaware. And two of them could accomplish that in a moment's notice. So this time they would have to let Glint play catch up with them. He wasn't exactly slow, but one wasn't moving and the other one was fast.
"Think it's related to their fancy field studies?"
"Recall our arrangement? We'll find out from MagicMan himself. Let's go. The Ripple keeping the others isn't meant to last forever."
And so he who spawned them walked over to one of the mirrors, slipping on inside of it. Magnolia herself blurred out, as if she was never there. They would arrive in but a few moments of their destination, so Glint would have to close the gap himself as well. He was on the move, but not before he called one of his weapons to hand, the familiar firearm that was destroyed in the confrontation with Vile having a different feeling to it than last time.

It doesn't take long. After they begin to move, MagicMan's glowing, yellow eyes disappear from beneath the brim of his hat.
MagicMan: They're here, and will be in range momentarily.
First priority, MagicMan points one of his scepter-hands out and motions to the pod, signaling for it to begin retracting into the base. He then begins to follow, turning to two of the normal Navis and motioning outwards.
MagicMan: Slow them down and get back to the satellite. And do not let them disturb the virus.
MagicMan enters the small facility as the two Navis take position, standing lifelessly in front of the doorway as they look on in an unflinching manner.
