-Navi Name: Penumbra
--Appearance: The woman known as Penumbra is always mostly obscured, veiled in shadows of all kinds. The shadows move over her at virtually all times, hiding her true appearance from view, but what is known by the few that have come close to her is a face with light charcoal skin, gold (or perhaps brown, depending on the view) eyes, and scarlet lips. Her features generally seem to be amused at most things going on around her, without much of any show of emotion beyond that.
For those few who do see her when the swath of shadows are not hiding her from view, the woman's form is similar enough to that of a human, at least from the upper torso up. Long, sinuous limbs and a well-defined upper body is clad in the same charcoal skin, with a sort of dress that begins just above her breasts, the brilliant scarlet matching her dress, descending down over her body. The first instance that something might be off are the fact that she possesses not one, but four pairs of eyes.
The second, and far more major, is the lower half of her body is not at all humanoid and instead appears to be that of a spider, with the full thorax exending out behand her. Eight long legs support her, but given that she tends to not show this form to others, it's far more often for them to simply see her covered in the umbral.
--Personality: More than a little bit of a sadist, Penumbra enjoys toying with viruses and navi alike as if they were toys. Granted, this often gets her into a great deal of trouble and as such, she tends to avoid doing so when it would draw attention to herself. Most commonly, she can be found lurking through alleyways or other areas that are less freqented and happening upon a lone traveler. She often lures these men (though rarely women) away from any potential safety before she happens down upon them. The shadowy web locks them in place before she pulls them into a locale of her own design and tortures the poor program until she grows bored of them.
Not any sort of a virus herself, she can cause serious harm to areas if she abducts a program that's vital for the area to function, and has done so on a number of occasions, finding it incredibly hilarious to watch the humans scamper about and try to resolve the issue that she had caused.
Despite her sadist-like mentality, Penumbra is very much not a masochist and loathes to be in pain of any kind, which is why she so often wraps herself up in the shadows that surround her. She isn't necessarily arrogant, but doesn't like when her plans go awry or her playthings escape. She has no qualms about preying on the weak, and will often do so without any hesitation, virus or navi alike. In tha tsame vein however, she is definitely a hypocrite that will call out someone who is attacking her if they are stronger than she.
The woman does not much care for battling, but instead prefers to silently stalk up on, and then secret away her prey without much of a struggle.
--Background: It's not exactly clear when Penumbra made her appearance on the Net, or even really, how she got there. In fact, no one is even really sure if she's a program, a virus, or what she is. The fact is clear that she exists but as far as how, or even why, the woman herself doesn't know. She simply came to be one day on the Undernet. A swath of data was shadowed, and it had stayed shadowed for an eternity. The netspiders that made their home in that shadowed corner feasted upon data that they gathered from their meals, across the web of the Net. And from those meals, from the bits of extra data that lingered in the shadows, a navi, or something like a navi, began to take shape within it.
There was no change to that one lowly corner, despite the years that passed both in the real world and in the outside net. And then, one day, when someone looked at that shadowed corner, it looked back. It wasn't even something to instill fear or terror- it was just something that had caught the observer off-guard. This was something that they had seen, day in, day out for their entire life of being on the Net, and this was the first time that there was a presence of something staring back at him.
He had taken a step forward, curious about what the corner might hold- if there was something within, something that might live or dwell within it. But as he drew closer, a strange feeling began to pump synthetic adrenaline through his veins: fear.
A laugh, tinkling, like the sound of bells, filled the empty alleyway. But the laugh was not mirthful- it was mocking, like it knew something that he did not, despite the fact that it was nothing more than a shadow. But before he could call out, before he could begin to turn away, the allure of a beauty caused his voice to catch in his throat. The next thing, however, to catch his throat, was a spectral, umbral web that shot forth from the darkness, wrapping about his mouth and throat. It had no substance, but at the same time, it was thicker than blood. Heavier than life.
As the man was pulled into the darkness, screaming against the shadows that surrounded him, the shadows themselves began to take form, and the female pulled the man up, up, up to meet her at eye level before she pressed her mouth against his. The data of the navi before her turned to zeroes, and she dropped the remains when she'd had her fill, and gotten her first taste. But she would need more.
Now, Penumbra comes forth to...see the rest of this world. To see its inhabitants. To find something else to feed upon.

Effect: Creates a barrier with [(210+(40*V))*2] = 740 HP. Penumbra cannot use any avoids besides this skill. Penumbra cannot restore her own HP- all healing and regeneration effects instead apply to her barrier, utilizing it's max HP as the base for restoration instead of her own.
