Legacy K-414.exe [V1] challenges Desertman.exe
"What are we doing out here, Richard? I sense no viruses," the beast growled as it moved forward through the night. Its form was illuminated by the moon, the wolven navi looking as feral as it often did. He paused, leaning down to all fours to inhale several times, as if tasting the air, sensing if there would be anything nearby.
There wasn't.
"We're looking for some sort of navi or...something that's been causing problems. It's outside of our norm, but the Animus Syndicate wants this investigated. Apparently it's taken down a few of our own Navi."
K-414 snarled. "Weaklings," it grunted, before he moved to come to a stop. The road itself he'd been walking on suddenly ended in what appeared to be a swath of sand. "Doesn't this road continue?" he asked to his Operator.
There was silence for a moment. "Yeah." The words were almost...confused, and K-414 gave another small snarl at his operator before he continued forward, into the sand. It was hot and burned at his feet. He didn't particularly care, as his body's natural regeneration systems kicked in, regenerating each of his feet as he lifted it from the blistering sand. His red-eyed gaze moved to-and-fro as he looked to try and locate where things...were. He needed to know where this other Navi would strike from, no matter what it was. "You see anything? Richard's voice asked.
The wolf grunted. "No. Just sand. Everywhere," the beast responded. As he moved, he accessed the data he'd picked up from fighting against Rikaru, early into his career. He recalled the power of the sand and sought to find something there to put the pieces together. However, a sand dune made itself known, and the lupine Navi paused, then. "Run a scan on that."
Within seconds, Richard gave a small sound of affirmation. "That's got to be it. All sorts of data signs are coming from it." K-414 nodded, about to take a step forward when a face suddenly appeared on the dune, two hands emerged from the ground, and he found himself under attack!
