He stood still, a smile upon his face. He lowered the hood of his cloak, to face those who had come to rescue his captive. His mismatched eyes looked at each navi in turn. His skin was fair, and smooth. A thin, slightly discolored scar ran from the right side of his cheek up to his nose. He would be lying to say he wasn’t excited to fight. He felt the bloodlust, and he was curious to see how this played out. He raised the black sword up in guard position, waving with the other to indicate to attack. Around his body, a black light started to eerily glow around him. A sand crab that just happened to get to close was touched by the black light, and it keeled over, dead. Would their hope, their power, their “light”, be enough to defeat him? All of the darkness?

Words could not begin to describe the fear coursing through the Maiden's veins as she looked onward at the scene below. The party had formed under a mutual goal; to defeat the ever-growing shadow. The black flames licked for data, thirsting for fresh blood, yet her Captor's eyes held much more than a hungry drive. She had hoped the party would abandon her in exchange for protecting themselves from such harm. The Lady only wished for peace and safety. But alas, here they were and the Maiden could only hope against reality that no one would be hurt from the obvious on slaughter of power that was to come. That Xenneth, her precious human friend, would also be spared from such a sight.
Porcelain fingers laced together in a solemn prayer with tears falling, fervently praying that all would be well... All will be well... The quaint butterfly rested on her hands as if joining her. One by one, The Maiden spoke of them. The Beautiful Woman... The Electric Gentleman... The Leather Lioness... The Angel-Winged man and his companion...
Deep in the recesses of her heart, her concern was for much more than those who had come. It also was for her obscure captor. Yes, him too she prayed for.

Fulgur stood there, the soft shhshh of his cloak flapping gently from the slight breeze drowned out by the humming and crackling of electricity, and the fainter hum of the Light that was starting to get brighter.
He glances up at the one they were aiming to protect, seeing her sadness and praying, and gives a reassuring smile. Despite how his armor, helmet, and golden eye would make him almost menacing, the boy seemed very gentle at that moment.
Then, Ful turns his attention back to the one they would have to fight, sighing and holding out a arm. The forearm of said limb transformed, melding into the shape of a roaring wolf's head. The eyes glowed red, sending out beams of red light...laser sights.
Whereas in the past it would be just lightning, now Light filled the mouth of the weapon...he was prepared...though somewhat unwilling."I don't wish to fight you...but you've chosen this for us. Hopefully you'll change your mind before this goes too far, and...I'm sorry for what pain and damage I do inflict."

If she could, Megami would have laid down at that moment just so she could have the NetNavi do as he pleased – to have her body engraved in his name so she could learn it and why he was doing this.
That option was taken off the table, sealed, and burned into the fires of battle. She felt there was no chance to risk conversation: a rare feeling at that. Part of her urged to finish this battle so that no one got hurt, and the other part screamed at her to know who this female NetNavi was that was so pleased to see Xenneth. Her heart felt a prick like a needle, and this is where resilience came in as her innocence had hid her small droplets of jealousy that were tainting her intentions.
“Why am I thinking such things now?”
She swept her hand before her until a gentle, brimming silhouette of light danced along her hand and spread to her wrist. Just as she prepared for battle, her eyes went to observe the situation and the opponent that she would oppose. Something about his appearance caused her to prepare a powerful offense. The aura around her body went from a calm continuous, rhythmic pulsation to a wild, unpredictable rage like a wildfire. Her eyes only going upward for a moment distracted by the palms coupling a butterfly that Xenneth gazed at. Her guard dropped because of her misplaced fear.
The only thing scarier than the death at the hands of this harbinger was the thought of someone else entering her friend’s heart and taking her place.
But Xenneth did not see that. Even now, he was looking down upon the scene from his video display. His view of Megami dwarfed by Phoebe’s gesture. As he stared at the butterfly in her precious little hands, he suddenly realized that all those questions in his mind and all those meaningless concern of whether she was blood and tears or zeroes and ones were no longer relevant. What was more important was that this was the same girl that made him smile in his time of need, and this time he could do something to return a favor to someone other than a “Thank you” and thinking about how weak and helpless he was.
“I’ll get her back,” he thought. “I have to! I won’t run this time!”
He gave a gaze around to his surroundings. There were five of them against that one menacing form. It was a sight enough to give Xenneth confidence! Megami did get her strength from being around others, and maybe that was enough to guarantee victory. The violet haired boy had his right hand reaching to his pocket and selectively taken a single chip from his pocket brandishing the image of a radiant animal.
He was not going to leave anything to chance!
Pressing the chip into the P.E.T., the violet haired boy had prepared the incoming wave of data that was materializing in the network not far from the battle.
“Megami! Yuni is coming! In the meantime, try to rescue Phoebe!”
What? Why-…oh! So she can’t be in danger!
“R-right, Xen-kun!”
The response was a bit startling, even to Megami. The Goddess had little to no clarity in the situation, but she put the pieces together, slowly, but surely! With their mounting strength and ability to invoke Full-Synchro, they are able to muster the most strength in an instant in order to destroy strongholds or targets that are nearly impenetrable! The female NetNavi had begun to have her power skyrocket as the aura in her right hand spread around her body and then exploded until her long chestnut brown hair flailed upward like a wild cascading reservoir flowing backwards.
Amor…Amicitia…Vincula…
Words that were tender and kind uttered between those close flowed around Megami in glowing rings of glowing pink characters. The latin text rapidly circled around the Goddess as two rings and the few words mentioned were like a drop of many in a sea of virtuous words. The image of Xenneth in the window seemed relaxed and confident. He was certain! It matched Megami’s very expression, and anyone who heard the rumors of the Net was aware of the Net Operators and NetNavis that had a close bond with their NetNavis. The violet haired boy was no exception.
Phoebe could not hear them, and Xenneth knew this now, but if she could see Megami and the whirling text around her body and his certainty, she would know why they had no worries.
Xenneth had taken a single hand gesturing towards Phoebe from his image. A simple sweep was enough to gesture to her to take cover and show that he was concerned for her safety. He wanted to make sure that she was in one piece, especially if he were to have no regrets when they watched the butterflies flutter about freely once again.

As others were preparing for battle, whether powering up, or waiting for someone else to make a move, Merrill was itching to get started. Since their previous encounter, Merrill had remembered training constantly. Others were gearing up and preparing for battle, taking their time.
He was already prepared.
As the white sword, Light, and the black sword, Death, oscillated and rotated around Merrill as he turned the sword in his hand. As soon as the blade's edge was pointed at their foe, he attacked, his white cloak like a white silhouette.
He dashed forward, intending to pierce their foe through the eye. Instead, at the last second, he jumped over the enemy, landing behind him. He gave a quick rotating slash, before jumping back, and slamming the sword into the ground. A shockwave of light encasing the immediate distance between the two navi's. He then thrust his hand forward, Life and Death both darting forward. He then threw the large claymore like blade, and slammed both hands into the ground, sending white, green, blue, and gold energy forward, homing in on their foe. He then dashed forward, Life and Death materializing almost instantly, so he could give a quick dash-slash as he darted past. He came to a halt approximately as where he started. He slowly started chanting something under his breath, a sigil of energy starting to draw itself underneath his feet. He started gathering energy as he did so.
Xylia took a safer route, starting to chant spells. She started by pointing her hand at their enemy.
"Saltare, Gelu!"
Ice suddenly started forming above the enemy, and with a flick of her hand, started falling in a torrential downpour upon the vicinity, as soon as Merrill flashed past with his final strokes., in an attempt to make sure there was no hidden attack at Merrill's back.
From there, she put her hands together and uttered another spell. Her voice, high and melodic, began to chant as her Spike Ice Armor formed around her. Her slender white legs, normally left uncovered in her everyday attire, suddenly gained a flexible satin material covering, that Ice spikes suddenly began to form. The same thing happened to her arms, up to her shoulders, down her chest to her stomach. The ice formed all over that wasn't her face or hair. She wasn't taking any chances this time. She new that she needed to be safe, and prepare stronger attacks than last time.
"Glacies, Quaeso, defendere corpus meum, et spiritum meum!"
As soon as her armor finished, she immediately began chanting a different spell. her armor gave off a faint glow, and horizonal icicles with unbelievably sharp points began forming around her, like she was preparing an Ice shard machine gun.

? ? ?: ”And like that Warriors’ sword’s previous owner, I shall show you that you are just as powerless as he was!”
"You've got a new thing coming if you're expecting me to be anything like he was."
Feint was a better fighter than Warrior, hands down, but that was when she had her suit and when she was fighting with her own weapon. She wasn't inexperienced with a sword, but she couldn't do fancy things like creating sonicbooms with her slashes.
Warrior may have been remembered for his speed and strength during his last fight with this mysterious foe, but Feint would be remembered by her balance and precision. She approached the mysterious navi, clearly not threatened by the black light around him, but made sure not to be caught in the wake of Merrill's and Xylia's combined attacks.
Her spacing from the enemy seemed flawless: just within her blade's reach. The tip of the sword was the sharpest part, so ideally one would want to cut with only that part. Her feet were parallel and shoulder width apart, hands holding the sword's hilt just infront of her waist with the weapon's tip pointed at the opponent's throat; her refined poise showed that she had at least some basic training of a swordsman and the she wasn't somebody to just swing it around like a baseball bat.
Fencing and Kendu were clearly in her repertoire, but the latter was more evident at the moment based on her stance. The cuts that she was soon to make would proclaim this even more.
~*Slit*~ ~*Slit*~ ~*Stab*~!!
Two diagonal cuts that flowed together as elegantly as water rushing down a river followed by a powerful thrust at the opponent's chest. If one's eyes were to follow just the tip of the sword as she swung it, they'd draw out an infinity-symbol with her target located at the intersection in the middle where the thrusting stab would soon be directed.
Feint snapped back to her basic stance immediately following the attack; it gave her defensive advantages if the enemy would try to retaliate.
She clearly wasn't one to lash all out on a new enemy. No, that had put her in trouble in the past. Initiating with something simple and effective was normally what it took to see what the enemy was capable of, and only afterward would she aim to strike them down with everything she had.

He watched as the first navi's to take action just prepared, watching him cautiously. Wise on their part, in his opinion. It was funny to him how the Maiden in distress above them caused at least one or two of them to desire “peace, and love.” Sadly, that was not how this cruel world worked! He spoke to Fulgar first.
”No, dear boy. You made the decision to stay and fight. I chose my path, just as you chose yours!”
A small grin appeared on his face. The one female navi started powering up, words and colors around her. He then realized that she had a human companion, one whom was probably watching. He had read something about that, that the bond between them could make the navi stronger. Excellent… Someone with new abilities that he could test.
Now… The white haired boy. Unlike the others, he wasted no time going in for an attack. His grin spread even wider. As Merrill jumped over him, he turned around, raising his hand. A black aura, so dark that all the light generated by Merrill’s attack was absorbed like it was nothing. He knew that the white haired kid wasn’t going full power. But his speed had improved somewhat. He lazily blocked his sword strikes, faking a yawn as he did so. He raised his sword up and spun it above his head, the pink haired girl’s strike fared no better, as her ice barrage just bounced off of the rotating blade.
Then came the last one. He casually waited as she walked up to him. But what he wasn’t expecting, was the speed of her first strike. It caught his cheek. He never let his grin go, but nimbly dodged back from the second, and parried the third, the pierce, with ease.
”This is amusing… I just may enjoy myself... Even just a little.”
He turned and looked at Feint.
”You exceeded my expectations. Wonderful! But be warned, the fun is just about to start!”
He spread his hands wide, and black energy started spewing everywhere. The black goo that landed on the sand instantly started eating at it, breaking the sand down. He slashed in blade in an X wave, sending a wave of black energy/goo directly at Fulgar.
He then was on top of Megami in an instant, hovering above her, doing a 360 vertical flip, slashing the entire way around. He then slammed his sword into the ground, sending a shockwave of black energy, pushing anyone close, away. In the blink of an eye, he slashed at Megami again, horizontally, jumping, and on the down strike, sent a HUGE shockwave of black goo and black energy at her, and towards Merrill and Xylia.
He then made a rapid dash, nearly teleporting behind Merrill, striking at his back, returning the favor. Two can play that game. He made a pair of thrusts, and appeared in front of him, thrusting his hand at Merrill’s feet, firing black light, while taking a pair of slashes at him too.
With no warning, he ditched his attack on Merrill and made a handful of air punches at Xylia, sending blasts of energy at her. He appeared behind her, and struck just as the attacks from the front arrived. He struck once, intending to pierce her through. Then, he was back in his original position.
He turned to Feint. He raised his fist, a black circle appearing under everyone else, Feint included. An explosion erupted forth, and he was on Feint’s position in a heartbeat, striking at her shoulders and arms, from a quick thrust, to a quick slash, to a dash strike through her, to flipping and striking at her three times while being upside down. He then waved his hand, sending a blast of Dark Energy, pushing him away. He appeared back in his original position, Interested to see how they took his first… Playful attacks….

The desperate prayer came to a close with the Maiden's focus returning to the battle at hand. A quiet gasp escaped her soft lips, coupled with a flying hand to meet them. The Electric Gentleman molded his arm into a menacing wolf's head with garnet eyes, blaring at the target before him. Words drained through the dark barrier indicated he was speaking to the abductor while charging a sphere of light between the Wolf's fangs.
The Beautiful Woman emitted such a sweet glow from her hand, slowly cloaking her curvaceous form. Clearly focused on her foreign language, the gold letters continually circled the woman with her dear friend instructing her on what would come. The Maiden beamed; the realization dawned on her. She never thought Xenneth would have a Navi as a companion. With her background, the idea was legendary to her ears.
Ecstatic to see her trusted friend while waving eccentrically, the Maiden stared at his anxious face with anxiousness herself. The waving died down as she felt incredibly guilty, dragging him into this messy situation. Her petite hand landed on the dark glass pane as the tiny butterfly of faith nestled into her silver strands, hoping he knew. Swiping his hand rapidly to the side, the Maiden understood. Promptly seeking some shelter, Phoebe curled her form in the farther-most corner of the dungeon. Placing her exposed hands behind her back for cover, the amethyst eyes look on with clenched fists.
Snow white became a blur. To the untrained eye, there was nothing but a quick flurry of strikes mixed with Light's shock waves. However, there was calculation in his attacks. None of them fatal. None of them deliberate. Purposefully exploring the opponent's abilities. Somehow, the Winged Knight seemed familiar to her... Like a distant dream... But alas, it escaped her as quickly as it came. His comrade, Winter's Commander, cultivated frozen water over her petite form, shielding herself before summoning icicle shards to her aid. Protection before offense.
Left only with the Leather Lioness. Simplicity, yet effective. Three slices to the wind. Nothing more, said or done. The aura of determination and confidence said plenty of her character. The way she held the sword, for it was not ordinary, spoke of her skills. The stillness in her eyes held a silent strength. Her composure, despite it all, voiced through the wind of her spirit.
Impressive though they all were, the Abductor had his way with them. Treating them with nothing more than amusement and contempt, like old toys. Parrying the slices with ease, teasing them with that smirk. He thrived on this battle, if only for the small competition it offered him. Through his powerful moves and fluid motions of controlling the darkness with ease, his advantage was seen by the Maiden. Or, at least, one of his advantages. The Dark element itself. The Maiden was so very fearful for him. She wanted nothing but serenity, peace and happiness for his heart craved it. She wanted him well.
Light, by nature, could be studied. Measured. Seen. Observed, in it's entirety. To study the Dark, however, would not be so easy. Darkness is the absence; there is nothing. The Maiden pondered, wondering... Did she dare do it? She would be hunted with such ferocity, wanted for who she was... Is... Endangering anyone who dared be a part of her existence... She could keep it a secret still, if done correctly. She could do it, she had to risk exposure. So many hearts were at stake, Navi and Human alike, to include her Captor. So many took a risk, and so must she.
Breath in, breath out. Breath in, breath out. Closing her eyes to the outside world, the Maiden unraveled her clenched fists while placing them flat against the prison walls. Black static pulsed through the touch momentarily before coming to a calm. Slowly bleeding into the smooth walls, liquid of light poured from her right hand, creating brilliant tree branches for the world to see throughout the dungeon. With her left hand, the ink of darkness inched forward, suppressing the origin of power. Forcing control on the shadows within the walls had a price, especially confronting such power. Phoebe, the Holy Lady, was at peace with such a price and gladly smiled. Her body involuntarily coughed up precious blood alongside the furious tears falling from her orbs from the strain. He was indeed powerful and strong, but that did not halt her endeavor.
Glinting from the heavens, thousands of stars rose from their slumber to greet the world, accompanied with a full, radiant pearl. The Sun had set long ago and with it came Nightfall; it's own magnificence offering support in her struggle. The secret remained as the Party looked toward the tree of light, never seeing the disturbed darkness... Hopefully. Although, there was the slim chance of the Abductor sensing something was not right from within...

Ful blinks as the kidnapper retorts, then sighs, nodding."You're right,I suppose.I did chose this...and I won't be stepping back, not till she's safe!!!" His eyes gleam in a sudden, ferocious determination, one to protect those who need it.His comrades,Phoebe as well, would suddenly feel a invigorating feeling wash over them, and during the battle wounds would at least gradually repair by themselves, faster then usual. It even affected Ful himself, though to a greater extent, as a aura of light coats his small frame.
Air crackling as he aims his buster, the boy fires off a charged shot of light and electricity, hissing like blessed snakes, at the dark navi. His eyes were narrowed, though they widen at the attacks the others launch. Impressive...But they're avoided, deflected,or blocked. Brows furrowed, Ful inspects their opponent...They're gonna have to work together on this...
Then the attack comes, a wave of black, darkness infested goo and energy charging at the boy's position. Gasping,he forms a sheild, and just in time. As the attack impacts, Ful is pushed back, and desperately spins as his sheild cracks and falls apart, avoiding any of that goop. Breathing a sigh in releif,he tries to shoot at ??? as Megami and the others are attacked, hoping to distract him and lessen the blows dealt. The boy knew he wasn't strong enough to really damage him, but...he had to try.
"What's the point of this?! Why kidnap a innocent? Why endanger her?! Can't you see she's sad, she's hurting?! Was it just for a fight?! If so,what's the worth of it!?!" His angered, and confused, shouts sounded through the air, questioning ???'s reasoning for all of this.Glancing down, he sees the circle, jumping backwards and rolling,"LOOK OUT!!!"just narrowly avoiding the explosion under him as a boom sends him rolling more, sand shhshhing under his frame.
Glancing up, Ful's eyes widen at the sight of the maiden holding a tree of light,a smile growing on his dirtied face."Wow..."The boy shakes his head, refocusing on the foe as he stands up. It looked like he would have to use his Hypermode...Light and electricity gathers around Ful, and he narrows his eyes."Cerberus Defender...Come forth."
His armor flakes off, leaving behind shorts, a armored shirt, his headband, greeves, and bracers. The armor shined, more silver then his usual dark grey. His cape was replaced by two large, barely visible wings made of pure light, and his buster? Now,there was the more impressive change.
Other then the bracer, his arm was bare, and behind him floated three, gaint versions of his buster, their huge maws crackling with energy. He flys up,becoming level with Phoebe's cage. Smiling at her, he turns his attention back to the battle, both eyes glowing brightly."We need to work together!!! Attack him at the same time!" He narrows his eyes at the kidnapper."What's your name?"After getting his answer, Ful unleashes his attacks.
The Cerberus Busters float in front of him, letting out a aimed blizzard of electricity and light, each shot more powerful then what he was previously capable of putting out.As that happened, he formed piercing lances of light, tossing them at the enemy. Hopefully at this moment others were unleashing their attacks at the same time.

“Megami-chan!”
Everything else was barely audible. Megami had been looking to the sky, but barely in a daze. It was not the stars nor the moon’s glow that aught her attention. The scent of the beach was barely even as charming as it was in the past. However, Phoebe’s prison was the sight of Megami’s attention, and for a moment, she was actually trying to see Xenneth’s eyes (if only for a second) to see where they were looking. The only thing she could notice that made her gasp was not Xenneth’s cry, but the whirling form of her aggressor baring down on her as she gasped and raised her arms in a defensive manner.
Thank the Gods for jealousy…
FHWMP!!!
It was not the weapons of the dark fiend that attacked her, but rather the trotting little wings of the small Pegasus that tackled the female NetNavi. Megami’s body was sent flying backward as she was missed with the crashing sword strike, but the small animal’s tackle was no joke! He had a horn for goodness sakes! Then the blowback from the shockwave as a punishment for her carelessness she would not forget as she reached out her arms, desperately cradling the small animal into her embrace as he curled body flew back full speed to the edges of the beach.
“Nice save, Yuni!”
“Xen-kun, I am sorry! I do not know what-”
Before Megami could say anything more, she was back on the offensive as the enigmatic foe drew close. The slashes and strikes were met with a desperate and klutzy resilience as the female NetNavi reached out her right hand formed a massive shield. It was one of the basic battlechips that came from Xenneth loaded arsenal. The guard was struck and broke away into pixels so easily as the Goddess attempted to retaliate while stepping back, but to no avail.
“Oh no!”
The thought could not describe the situation in any worse way as the strike had landed true. The downward slash had been guarded against with a parrying blast of energy as the dual set of pink rings disappeared from her body. The damage was only slightly evaded, but it came back full force as Megami observed her right leg that was covered upon the upper thigh with the black goo as it begun eating away at her pixels.
“Get rid of it!”
The violet haired boy’s words brought Megami back to life as she moved swiftly. She tore away at the graphic layers that covered her upper thigh as the robe was etched away until partial of it remained. Her upper body revealing a single woven blue top that pressed against her bosom and was pinned by her NetNavi crest. Her left leg was covered by the remains of her robe, but her right leg was exposed up until her upper thigh. She kicked away her sandals as her feet were bare upon the terrain. Her layer of skin ran with a thin red glow that had a fiery hue as it rushed across her body.
“Firewall activated…”
It saved them, but it was limited to how many times they could do that. She would run out of clothes next time.
“We need to think…” the violet haired boy thought out loud to Megami, “None of us even came close to scratchi-…ah!”
He would have been a liar if he finished that sentence.
Amongst all the chaos, Xenneth had noticed one or two things: The NetNavi was fast, incredibly fast. He was capable of unleashing continuous attacks that not only created powerful shockwaves and aftermath, but there were also the degenerative effects. The violet haired boy was becoming quite the analytical strategist since meeting that group of Net Operators and NetNavis. He could recall what a temperamental hot-headed girl, a cat-suit clad girl, and an ONB operator could do when they were assigned miniscule roles in dire situations.
His role? He was one of the best at solving puzzles and working behind the scenes! He could support any situation had he put his mind to it!
"We need to work together!!! Attack him at the same time!"
Xenneth listened…and there was not telling what he got from that statement coming from the attacking NetNavi.
Rash plans were not the best way to go about things: Kotobuki was prime example. The moment he had seen Fulgar go on the offensive, and the other NetNavi try to at least make a rash strike, he knew that there was no hope of making a hit if they were going on light this. They were like flies swarming around a swift hand. The only difference was this hand had a nice aim and was just as swift. He had to think back on how they were pulled together – something that was said to him as he tried to recall somewhere the back of his mind that scared him, but at the same time made him remember that there was something important on the line that caused him to not run away because it struck him with a mixture of encouragement and fear:
“NO!” he cried spontaneously, “We’ll support you!”
Xenneth said this as he pushed in a multitude of Battlechips, one in particular that made a silhouette around Megami’s body glow a brilliant bright green aura that was like starlight on the shores. The open void below Megami opened. The explosion that erupted forth would blind Megami from sight, but leaving her fate unknown.
Xenneth knew however, so he did not worry as he kept reaching his hand from his side to the next loading the chip data.
As Feint was attacked along with the explosions, it left a small window for the duo:
A hand reached out from plain space as it tore open a small fabric. Pixels had unwrapped the scene of the night air amongst the backdrop of night and passing breezes as a woman’s delicate fingers made a quick snatch at Feint and attempted to pull her back into the space with it. The pixels began to fold over the hand hoping that it would make it vanish quickly along with Feint in its grasp.
There was another hand that came swiftly from behind Merrill, and then Xyllia, at the same time as this event transpired.
It was a little more quickly and rough as it snatched the NetNavi with the most eager of haste! The explosion was a pretty big encouragement to do so as the heat of the inferno was felt on its finger tips. With the space folding over this hand as well, it spread its influence to the body of the NetNavi as quickly as possible. There was no time to explain, but the two synched pair, thick as thieve as they snatched their claims knew exactly what was happening.
“Dimensional Steal…” Xenneth thought as space became distorted around the aggressive program in three points, “Megami’s programming can heighten the potential of Area Steal. That way, she can teleport entire pieces of dimensions and herself from one space to the next in an instant. The only problem is, I can only spread it to three places at once. Usually, it can be used to attack three quick times in succession after teleporting that many times…but:”
*SHATTER!!!*
Space broke like glass around the foe, piece by piece!
Just as if windows were busted, the pieces of space fell away to reveal the three NetNavis the hands had snatched around close range of the aggressive program.
“They were the fastest,” Xenneth thought, “So maybe if I got them in close range and protect them from the offensive hits, then maybe we can stand a chance.”
“THIS-IS-SPAR-…uh…ELECTOPIAAAA!!!”
“Now everyone!” the violet haired boy cried, “Get all your crap together and let’s move!”
Sure, those weren’t the words that day that moved him into action, but they were close!
The moment Xenneth cried out, the explosive residue around Megami had dispersed as if it was a candle light being blown out. The green energy that erupted from the female NetNavi’s body had blown away remnants of a certain energy away like they were embers of a fire. It had become apparent then: Megami protected herself using an aura, long enough for the effigy to appear from her body as it took flight over the battlefield and beat its wings. Nodes of light were sent flying from above as brimming green energy showered forth towards the mysterious attacker like flaming meteors, but it was long after a colorful display and when the NetNavis that she pulled into range would make their attacks:
…if they chose to. Why wouldn’t they? Those were certainly the words used to light a fire under his behind after all.
Megami stood valiantly, post prior to the attack as she spread her legs and prepared for her next move. She was not going to attack, not yet, but her and Xenneth were already thinking two steps ahead. The violet haired boy’s analytical mind kept working as he slid in a blank Giga-chip prior to the use of the dimensional steal. The female’s NetNavi icon was glowing brightly as the intense light made the image of the angel wing become a blinding beacon upon the battlefield.

Merrill was not surprised that each of his attacks had been blocked. He went at about the speed he had went at last time they had fought. And his enemy did not slip. He wasn’t surprised, but he had hoped. He didn’t get much time to think as the enemy had finished speaking to Fulgar. Pulling his thoughts back into the battle, he heard his enemy’s little speeches, and immediately readied himself defensively. He did not consider the enemy’s abilities, and was just as shocked as the goo started flying, and watching what the effects had, dodging the original burst by jumping back. He had a second of relief as his enemy was targeting the others. He took that precious moment to start storing Life energy. He was suddenly interrupted however, as he caught sight of a wave of black goo charging him down. He dived out of the way, doing a flip as he did so. And he flipped right into trouble, as his foe now was behind him.
”Oh Sh-!”
*CLASH*
Life got there in the nick of time, shoving the enemy’s blade to the side. He rotated to the side, dodging one thrust, and the second nicking him in the side, through his cloak. He stumbled, his foe in his face already. He raised his sword, narrowly dodging the two slashes, regaining his balance in the nick of time. He pushed his body forward, tackling her, forcing her out of harm’s way. His cloak however, suffered another cut. He helped her to her feet as his eyes were on that enemy, studying his movement as he attacked Feint. Yet, he shouldn’t have been surprised to notice that there was suddenly a black light beneath him. His own sigil was dwarfed by the black light under his feet. However, thanks to Megami, he was saved. He had a half second to register that his location had changed. He nodded in Thanks, daring to take his eyes off their foe. He registered that Feint scored a hit, but he knew it had to be a fluke. Two navi’s in synchronization couldn’t scratch his armor, so he knew that this was just all foreplay to him.
He had a minute, maybe, as Fulgar already initiated their foe. Merrill took those moments to gather energy, building up his energy as quickly and quietly as possible. He knew he was going to need every bit of it. Fulgar’s Energy bursts and lighting attacks already en route, And Megami and Xenneth were lighting a fire all right. The green Meteor’s flying like bullets at their foe. As soon as the last meteor was launched, Merrill followed the green light, dashing, blades a flurry of strokes as he struck through the light, thrust, thrust, slash, slash. Life, Death, Faith – All three blades getting involved. As Merrill dashed out of there, he turned, sending Life and Death for one last set of strikes. He fired a blast of energy, helping get him set between Megami and Xylia.
Xylia didn’t finish her armor, and Merrill must have known, as he tackled her out of the way of their foe. She didn’t even have time to thank him. She knew that this was one of the reasons why she followed him around: to pay this foe back! And already, Merrill had saved her life… Again. She hardly had time to finish her armor, before Megami’s hand saved them both from those black blasts. Three times her life had been saved, against this mythical enemy. But she didn't have time to dwell. This was a life or death battle. This time, she waited until Merrill started moving back, and as soon as he turned to throw Life and Death… She struck.
” Vita in terra, constringere inimicos meos!”
From underneath the sand, Tendrils of earth and wood rose up, Right under where their foe hopefully still was.
”Erumpit sonus!”
Blasts of sound from the force of waves could be heard as she made a face like she was spitting. These “air bullets” hounded right towards their target.
” Saltare, Gelu!"
Again, Ice rained down on their foe as bullets flew. Hopefully the lone remaining member of this group would be able to strike, as she stopped, taking a deep breath..

Feint smirked a cocky grin as a streak of crimson appeared on the navi's cheek.
”You exceeded my expectations. Wonderful! But be warned, the fun is just about to start!”
" I'm petrified. "
Her usual sarcastic tone wasn't absent as the words left her mouth.
She stood her ground as the black goo spewed from the navi, not budging even an inch as it hit the sand and devoured the ground around her. If a bit landed on her, she didn't care. Heaven forbid a little acid-like substance tickle her skin.
As if in respect to her valor, the black goo landed everywhere but on Feint. She lowered her stance to a relaxed position of attention, maintaining remarkable military bearing without appearing tense or uncomfortable while she watched the mysterious navi maneuver madly around the scene attacking each navi individually.
Saving Feint for last was a foolish decision, in her mind. By the time he had finished dealing with every other member of her "team", she had already learned three of the dark one's habits and was more than ready to apply that knowledge against the attacks he would dedicate to her.
She raised an eyebrow as he turned toward her and raised his hand. "My turn?", her facial expression asked. Hands from behind her pulled Feint into a spacial distortion before she could take a defensive stance again, sparing her the chance to have to deal with the enemy's attacks.
Seconds later, she reappeared in an advantageous next to the kidnapper.
“Now everyone! Get all your crap together and let’s move!”
Taking her own advice in the form of Xenneth's words, Feint raised her sword above her head, dipping it into the incoming waves of electricity, light, and whatever else everyone was throwing at the kidnapper.
The cavity in the center of the blade was bathed in the combined energy of all their attacks, drenching the sword in the residual power of Fulgur's Cerberus Busters, Megami's green raining energy, and Xylia's sonic waves. Even the light emanating from Phoebe seemed to empower the raised sword.
When their attacks had ended and the dust settled, in Feint's hand was a weapon imbued with the amalgamated strength of their power, ready to be unleashed upon the kidnapper all over again if he was even still standing after their initial barrage.
"Fun enough for you yet?"
~Swish~ *POW!*
The metal of the blade was completely hidden by the brilliant shinning aura that bathed the sword, looking like it had just been taken out of a furnace of white fire. Each slash that Cherish made popped like a whip, slinging the overcharged weapon's energy along the arc of her cut and searing whatever landscape or flesh that it came into contact with, licking up whatever black ooze the kidnapper had spread with his own attacks.
~Swi-Swi-Swish~ *PO-PO-POOOW!*
Three more slashes from Cherish, but she moved so quickly between the flashes of light accompanied by each that it was difficult to tell which angles she even cut from. The emanating light from the sword had completely faded by the time she was done, but the energy that it had splashed all around was still glowing vibrantly with power.
Hopefully it all resulted in a little more than a scratch this time.

He studied how each navi defended against him. He was disappointed, yet amused. However, something did catch his eye: the Maiden. Yet, Fulgar’s words brought him back to the battle below her.
”My name? Hahahaha! If you can defeat me I’ll tell you my name!”
He watched as Fulgar floated on up to the Maiden. He watched, half focused on the Maiden. As Fulgar fired his busters, He raised his sword, sending black energy waves to meet most of Fulgar’s Cerberus Busters. One got through, but he moved just enough so it scraped against his cloak, tearing the edge of the fabric at the bottom. He was being slightly careless, and he knew it. However, he refocused as he heard a male voice above.
A new challenger? No. It was the operator of one of the navis. He made mental note, and started spinning his black blade as the meteors of light came in. He started moving backwards, each one being deflected into the ground. Again, one or two got through, putting holes in his black cloak.
Merrill fared no better. He met his attacks blow for blow. Each attack was faster and harder than before, but even as black sword met black sword, he gave up no ground. The ice girl switched elements, the wood spikes giving just enough of a window for him to jump behind them, the wind waves being met by his sword.
He turned, and the grin on his face widened, the sword wielded by Feint missed him by a mere inch. And that was one of her only changes, as he met her blow for blow too, even with the added power from the others, his speed matched her to block or negate her attacks. Only once did she get a well-timed shot, but it went wide and hit the edge of his armor, the searing light being absorbed in darkness. Light and Dark clashed and negated each other, and there was no clear victor of which side showed more power. As the attacks died down, the navi of darkness turned his head to the side slightly. They had improved, but he had other interests at the moment.
”Better. But I’m growing bored… What is my little captive doing?”
He then jumped, using the darkness to rise up to his levitating cage. He walked on in his cage like it wasn’t even there, and studied the Maiden for a moment.
”Very interesting… You are…. What you perceive to do is very curious… Tell me… How does the darkness make you feel? Powerful? Strong? It isn’t something to take on with light and hope to win. Darkness… Is stronger than light, in many ways.”
He watched her attempt to try and manipulate her way out. He would never admit it, but he was impressed. As she bled, he reached and touched one of the bars. A dark flame ruptured through, strengthening the darkness cage. There was no way she would break out. She would cause herself more unnecessary pain.
”Besides, can the light stop me from causing them pain?”
He asked, exiting the cage through the top as if it wasn’t even there. Standing on the top, he looked down at the others. Brandishing his blade, he jumped off, throwing himself down on Fulgar with a kick, sending him to the earth below. He used Fulgar like a springboard, shooting back up and landing back on the Cage. He turned and looked for the screen of the violet haired boy. He gave a bow, out of insult and joke. His voice was as cold as ice, but with the enthusiasm of a demented clown.
”Pleasure, Human. Are you enjoying the show? I hope so, because there is plenty more destruction to come! Stay tuned, and enjoy!”
He knew he was pushing them. Slowly but surely, the emotions that he could sense, from fear, to anger, to surprise, to worry and even pain. Emotions of darkness and that produced darkness. Even though he knew he was goofing off, he was still cold, calculating. He knew he could manipulate them. He had so far, getting them all bunched up. All over one girl navi. But, now wasn’t the time for that. Looking below, he shouted so everyone could hear him. It was time to push them to the edge.
”Here is the deal… if no one can land a scratch on me… I’ll kill her.”
He pointed to the Maiden. A sword of black fire appeared at her neck, for a split second, and vanished before anything happened.
”I’ll do it in front of you all, too. This is not just some fight. Fight harder to save her.”
He stomped his feet on the ground. Black beams of Darkness started rising from the sand, targeting the navi’s individually. They covered the field, in front, behind, to the side of each navi, so if they dodged, they had to repeatedly to avowing getting hit. These dark pillars radiated more toxic goo, making them even more dangerous. He stared and watched for a moment, seeing how each navi would react. After studying them for a few moments, he jumped, letting his body gain speed as he plummeted. The closer he got to the ground, the more black flames and black energy he emmited. He slammed into the ground, his empty fist hitting the ground, creating an enormous shockwave erupting, in a full 360 degree arc. The force from the shockwave was so strong, it created a reverse tide in the ocean, tides making the water terribly unstable. Sand few up everywhere, hiding his body long enough for him to stand. He raised up his sword once more, and waited. Would they fight harder? Would they meet his expectations? Just how much more could they take?

”… Darkness… Is stronger than light, in many ways.”
“He’s lying!”
A bold statement only being a thought as Xenneth gazed on to see the figure move into the cage speaking to Phoebe as if he was an emissary preaching a holy gospel. The violet haired boy’s serious face stayed true…only for a moment. That very second the program approached Phoebe, who seemed to be desperately toying with malevolent forces, and spoke his rhetoric, Xenneth wanted to shout to her that it was all false.
“He’s lying…right?”
Hypocrisy rendered him silent.
The violet haired boy’s expression wavered as his eyes slid to the corner of the screen thinking on the figure’s words to Phoebe. No one would see, but he was glancing at the dark hued chips at the corner of his satchel that contained his battlechips. It seemed every time his heart wavered, those accursed things were like that blur at the corner of his eye at times like this.
Dare he do it? He knew how powerful that force was – Element City’s toppled structures were a seared memory in his brain.
”Pleasure, Human. Are you enjoying the show? I hope so, because there is plenty more destruction to come! Stay tuned, and enjoy!”
“T-this…this isn’t-”
He was not good at making those witty, epic comebacks. He sucked at it!
Xenneth only fell silent as he became tempered by the program. He always was helpless in front of beings like this! They taunted him, mocked him, and he could do nothing about it because he was weak and Megami was his only power he had! She was an extension of himself: a sweet, female NetNavi that put the power of God in his hands, and yet he was so humbled that he was afraid to wield the wrath that a God could bring. He knew what chaos could ensue…but he also knew what happened if he hesitated…
“No! I won’t lo-”
”Here is the deal… if no one can land a scratch on me… I’ll kill her.” the kidnapper’s cold words nearly stopping Xenneth’s heart, ”I’ll do it in front of you all, too. This is not just some fight. Fight harder to save her.”
“I am!”
The violet haired boy could not even scream that! Instead, he shut his eyes tightly as he tried to fight tears. He was trying hard! Megami was and he knew it! However, it seemed like he was always weak, and everyone suffered for it! He glanced down at Megami who was standing in the light of the roosting Phoenix, not even aware that she had been looking at him the whole time as he suffered and was tempered by the NetNavi. He was clearly in distress!
“Why?” Megami thought curling her fists as the aura around her body wildly brimmed, “Why was he worrying so much?”
Did he not believe in her? Did he not believe in her strength?
Sure, they were failing, but she always told him that they could persevere together! However, Xenneth was in distress, and it was because of…her! Right? It had to be! He never had been so distressed! This made a burning feeling within Megami! She was…determined? Maybe? It had to be! She was in pain because he was in pain…because he could not help her?
…she did not understand, but she knew she wanted Xenneth to stop hurting.
“We have to stop him!”
“We will stop him!”
There was a sudden change in the air.
It was just not the pillars of darkness cutting the air or the powerful shockwave that disturbed the shores. It was the wingbeat of massive Phoenix as the green pure hues turned to purple and black shades of darkness. The feathers of the massive beast had become the colors of tar and wicked purple that reeked of a powerful, poisonous temptation that most would lust over. The beast’s eyes glowed a gentle red that seeped into its corneas like crimson liquid and it let out a pained cry as its summoner raced forth to the pillar before her carelessly.
“Yuni-chan! Cover Megami while I…” Of course, the Pegasus virus obliged Xenneth, but sensed there was more to it than the violet haired boy was letting in. The small equestrian virus had tossed itself before Megami’s body. It’s wings acting as a valiant shield as it grew twice its size and wrapped around Megami’s body like a plate of armor while pushing her forth. The Goddess crossed her arms as she ran straight forth through the beam while Xenneth thrust chips into his P.E.T.
“Dark Chips…in!”
Out of all the words he spoke, that was the ones that surprised him.
He was pained usually to slot in the wicked pieces of data, but he was much obliged now. He hated that he was so helpless and weak! Megami felt that hate, that loathsomeness! The thought of Xenneth being lost to despair was worse than her own demise. So, she silently understood as she raced forth and threw her body through the beam that was as understandable as a lover’s suicide and came out on the other side nearly unfazed but covered in the goo that burned at her body like acid.
*CRAAASH!!!*
The impact on the sands of the beach was monstrous, but Megami did not falter. Her body rolled forth as the Pegasus virus tumbled helplessly across the sands toppled and defeated with its small body being covered in a sand dune. The female NetNavi had rolled forth letting the sands collide against her body before she unfolded into a kneel and brought up her right hand and thrust forth her palm. The brimming light dampened at her palm as it became black as night, the powerful energy surging forth as a rapid collection of spheres shot forth like wicked dark balls of flame!
“Dark Barrage!”
For that moment, her voice was like that day.
A cold, rage hidden within it as she could not remember the last time that she felt this powerful, but Xenneth could. She assaulted her very friends with the darkness coming from her heart from pain and fear. She used the attack as it was powered by a wicked Dark Soul brought to the surface just like now. Megami had activated that darkness, a Hyper Mode that she did not even know rested within her as a barrage of Divinity Spheres tainted by darkness rushed forth in a quick flurry that slowed until…
*Shi-Shi-Shiiii!~~*
Her chest burned as if something was wrapping around her heart and kindling it. The Dominus Captivus mark had pulsed and grew slightly as its influence took over allow Megami to feel a rush. The spheres of darkness had begun to come rapidly once more as they rushed forth. The wing beasts of the Phoenix become more loud and profound with every screech that seemed to kindle Megami’s rage until something pulsed from her body and became apparent.
…sadness…despair…jealousy…rage!
Words of Latin text swirling around Megami’s body as they described what the two felt towards this wicked program that brought them to the edge of desperation! Xenneth’s weak and frail mind gave into a hateful thought of losing a new friend and Megami’s obliviousness of her jealousy made her all the more vulnerable as she could not accept that someone, anyone, put a foot hold in her best friend’s heart where she resided to encourage him. She would not tolerate the tears that would come from someone making him feel helpless!
“We have to beat him!”
The Phoniex let out a wingbeat once more as Megami’s barrage of spheres had rushed forth with the tainted light. She was so furious, she forgot all about their plans to support their friends, but her cunning remained. Her right hand that sent forth the dark spheres pulled back as the left finally revealed itself. The spheres and barrage of energy that pierced the sands and veils of water surely would clear away what separated the sight of him from the sight of them, and admit pressure.
“Now!”
Megami’s left hand reached forth as she curled back her fingers as if she was bringing forth something in her sight. From the sands raced multiple lances of wood that were as sharp as spears of a huntress. They aimed to pierce the blind backside of the NetNavi as they emerged with an intent to kill. His execution was at hand, and Xenneth could not be any more satisfied with the end result if it drew blood as the thought of their allies, Megami’s flesh black goo burned into her being, and Yuni’s condition…well…faded into the darkness.
All he saw was Phoebe, and the thought of never being able see those butterflies fly into the dawn anymore.

Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. The Maiden's natural talents kicked into use alongside the Electric Gentleman's own skills, enhancing the Maiden's repair. While it would not halt the pain, the Maiden would live on. That is what mattered at this point. Beads of sweat dripped down her face, mixing with her precious blood as Phoebe continued to pour her energy, her soul, into the barrier's walls. The Tree of Light shone forth from every side, continually growing inch by inch and easily perceived to the eyes with its majestic force against the threatening Dark. Unseen to the eyes however, the Holy Lady applied her own pressure, suppressing the misty Dark of it's full force.
Toxic sludge ran forth, animalism at it's finest; wanting nothing more than to taste it's opponents. Shockwaves ripped through the landscape with a lack of judgment on who would be caught. A collection of parries and swift jabs beckoned for attention twined with perfect, black circles beneath each of the combatants. Still, they pressed forward with hope in their hearts and light in their eyes. While the Maiden could not hear, she could see, and that was enough. To witness such courage and faith all for her... Humbling and grateful, it was enough to flood her eyes once more with tears.
The Party below defended themselves against the aggressive assault of attacks with quick reflexes and hurried calls for barriers of their own. The Electric Gentleman flew to her prison with a change in attire and an encouraging grin. His aimed mini suns soared with smooth perfection towards the intended target followed with sharp Lances. Concurrently, the Beautiful Woman distorted reality itself, transporting her other comrades to a focal point in time with their attacks already prepared.
The armada of strikes from the Winged Knight and Nature's Guardian (previously known as Winter's Commander to the Holy Lady, but after observing her skills, knew that it was no longer accurate) were a boring nuisance to the Captor, matching the Winged Knight's every strike and dodging the Nature's Guardian's timber points. Not even peaking his interest. Clashing metal rang through the battlefield as Captor's blade met the Leather Lioness's. Infused with all the Party's power, the blade did nothing to phase the Abductor, let alone damage him as the darkness ate the combined power within the strike. A sinister smirk planted itself on the Abductor's face with the metallic ringing, signaling the beginning of his retaliation.
The Dark Wielder tilted his head to the heavens, his focus clearly on other matters. Mumbling, he leaped effortlessly, the shadows heeding his order as his foot meet the Maiden's prison floor without qualms. Phoebe curled herself further into a small ball, an instinctual defense mechanism. Her hands still in contact with the dungeon, running her vigor steadily through the Tree of Light and the Dark Shadows. Amethysts gently pierced his jewels; Ruby red and Amethyst purple with a touch of Emerald green. She was scared and afraid. She was scared and afraid for him and her friends. He was in pain... So much pain, and Phoebe wanted to do all that she could to aid him in his healing... She wanted to be his friend... She wanted to help him, with all her heart...
”Very interesting… You are…. What you perceive to do is very curious… Tell me… How does the darkness make you feel? Powerful? Strong? It isn't something to take on with light and hope to win. Darkness… Is stronger than light, in many ways.”
Although it came as no surprise, the Holy Lady had hoped it would go unnoticed. As for his questions... They would remain unanswered. She had already risked much, she could not further endanger him or her friends. She would never forgive herself should anyone be harmed on her behalf. Shyly avoiding his gaze, her Captor wrapped his firm hand around the black bar. Ebony flames darted through every wall of the dungeon, like they were tasting alcohol for the first time. At the last possible moment, the Maiden covered her little butterfly friend with a mixture of her sterling locks and an illuminated wall. Not only had her friend become a symbol for others, but for herself also... Hope of what could be... And she was not allowing it to go silently into the night.
The flames engulfed Phoebe in complete and total torture. Nothing could hinder her howl, resounding throughout all of the Aqua Net, freezing time. While it was nothing new to the Maiden, the pain was still excruciating... Unendurable, to the faint of heart. If there were ever a sound to scar time and space, it would be the Maiden of Moonlight's searing, unforgettable cry.
As the grueling fire died down, the sight was far from picture perfect. Her thin silver strands charred at the ends with dying embers. What was once moon touched, porcelain skin, now melted into blistered scars all over her frail frame. Exposed muscle tissue and bone stirred with the open air, earning a sharp gasp from the Maiden's lips. Her sight was mostly in tact, her hearing was not so fortunate. High pitched ringing shot through her ears, lasting for some time before ending, and even then it had not recovered. Phoebe could hear hushed tones, at best. Still, her hands remained flawlessly in place with her energy still bleeding through the walls... Phoebe refused to heal herself, even in her critical condition. The Holy Maiden still had many to help and her best chance to do that was shattering the dungeon... By using what energy she had left.
”Besides, can the light stop me from causing them pain?”
The Captor turned his back to the Maiden, rising to the roof, unaffected. Oh, if only he had seen her nod her head, albeit weakly, to his question. Letting gravity run its course, the Abductor surged into the Electric Gentleman, plummeting him forcefully toward the golden sands. Using the kinetic energy to his advantage, the Dark Wielder landed once more on the roof of the dungeon with ease, as if he never left.
His gaze fell to the violet haired, young man with vivid sapphire eyes. Mocking her beloved friend with a bow, the Captor spoke, albeit it was barely detectable to the Maiden's ears. The Lady's body froze in place, unable to move as she looked. The chilling smile and blatant sway in his posture caused the Maiden to be even more concerned for Xenneth.
No, please, do not hurt him... Please... He is my beloved friend... Please do not hurt him...
Ascending his voice, the Captor gestured toward everyone, indicating he was speaking to them. Then, like lightning's flash, a blade of black fire appeared before the Maiden's throat. It left as quickly as it had come. The Maiden tilted her head to the side, wondering if it has even happened at all. There was no time to ponder on such things, as the Abductor manipulated the toxic sludge into tall pillars surrounding the Party from all sides. A singular shock wave wrinkled the landscape, sending the ocean's depths into instability with gold specks raining everywhere.
The tranquil reflection of the heavens rupturing into chaos became something of a forewarning. The Beautiful Woman's sudden transformation, driven with desperation, shocked the Maiden's heart with more pain. Here were her friends, longing for her to be set free, taking the ultimate risks and all she could do was stand by and watch. Helpless! What a weak, trivial thing she was! Doing nothing to help! Inferior. Pathetic. Useless.
I am sorry... I am so sorry, everyone... Especially to you, Xenneth...
The Maiden pulsed her own life force, Dark and Light, into the cage holding her. More. More. More! Blood poured freely from her body, completely dying her sky blue dress crimson red while forming a small lake around her. Thick, sticky liquid fell from every pore, the sweat a testament to the strain. The tears shed from pure amethyst pools offered no relief, and no end in sight. Struggling, her sight slowly became blurry, with her entire being weary from her own fight. How long could she do this? Already taking it's toll on the Maiden's consciousness, she knew very well.
The small butterfly moved from it's perch, landing on her petite nose. Fluttering its stunning wings rapidly, Phoebe could not help but smile at the encouragement and hope. Phoebe could will it. Would will it to carry on. The will to be doing all, for as long as needed. She could do it.
