Story mode On Version Bonus On Intro 2, Battle Four, Outro two Single Judge
-------------------------
With a crackle and fizz, a blast of lightning throws the virus against the wall, and it fades away as it is deleted. Fulgur bows his head." My apologies....may you find peace wherever you wind up." He sighs, canceling his buster and glancing around the ruins." It appears I'm done here...hopefully the town will be safe now..." He turns, ready to leave, but catches movement."What?" Suddenly, a dark, tarlike substance attaches itself to him. Fulgur struggles, then falls to his knees, beginning to....change.......
Some time later.....
Cries ring out through the city streets, and several navis stumble away from a doorway, wounded. It appeared as if the wounds were large bites....Inside the building, a figure chases another navi, springing and opening jaws as a tattered, mildewed cloak flows behind him. Letting out a terrified shriek, the navi rolls aside. The razoredged teeth latch into the table. At first, it seems like nothing is happening, then, the area sorrounded by the jaws breaks apart into data flowing into his mouth, leaving a large bitemark out of the table.Reaching out, the figure grabs the navis leg, bringing it close as his jaws stretch unnaturally large."Your turn, gyegyegye...."

INTRO 1 It was sunny, the perfect kind of day where the sunshine warmed ones shoulders and a light breeze would playfully caress ones face. It was on this day that Ion had decided to take a trip into the city to peruse the latest battlechips and check first hand on the newest programs. Vince and himself designed their own programs, but every now and then someone would see a new angle and precipitate the complete overhaul of one of Ion’s core programs to accommodate new parameters. They both liked to stay on top of such things, especially when Ion had heard rumors that there was now a program that would allow the use of virus’ in battle. He had long ago tamed his own Skeeters and they had been steadfast companions, but they lacked the discipline to execute more advanced battle tactics. Perhaps this program would be the key to expanding their functionality? As he walked the storefronts he casually licked at an ice cream cone he had purchased from one of the smaller side-street vendors: two scoops, one strawberry and the second rocky road. Leaning in close to look through the glass of one particular storefront, Ion observed the ElementRage battlechip, a chip as tantalizing as his strawberry scoop of icecream!
A shriek tore through the air, rending the quiet peace of the day into a thousand shattered fragments. Accompanied by hoarse screams and the undeniable sound of scrambling bodies, Ion’s head snapped towards the disturbance. Breaking almost immediately into a sprint, the white-clad navi ran towards the core of chaos rather than away, a single body moving against the sudden tide of people trying to escape and distance themselves from the danger, whatever it may be…
Reaching the doorway, breathing heavily from having to dodge so many people intent on running away, Ion took in the sight of the darkened figure, wolf-like maw open wide to consume the navi in his grasp. Looking about hurriedly he noticed that he was still holding his ice cream cone; Ion slopped his scoop of rocky road ice cream into one hand and hard-balled it directly towards the wolf’s back. Not wasting a moment he hauled back and threw the strawberry ice cream scoop at the creatures head. Calling out in a sing-song tone filled with the foolishness that people reserve for their own babies and cute animals, “Yip, yip! C’mere doggy! Yeah, who’s a big puppy? D’ya wanna play? Yeah? Let’s go play! C’mon, c’mere boy!”
Was it foolish to provoke an unknown beast in a relatively confined area? Extremely. Was there any other way that he could ensure it didn’t take a nasty bite out of that navi on the floor? None that came immediately to mind. So that navi better be ready to run when that delicious ice cream strikes true and forces its attention to Ion. Backing up ever so slightly, so that he was framed within the doorway, Ion chose not to completely enter the room, hoping to draw the inevitable backlash outside into the street that was quickly growing more and more deserted…

The navi struggles valiantly, slamming a clenched fist against monstrous jaws as black, sticky drool leaks out. The shadowy form snickers."Cease your struggling, food. All I need is a bite..." He ignores the buffet running away outside, though not without a dry thought about fast food, focusing on the prey before him.His jaws let out a sickening creak as he opens this maw even further. It appeared he wanted to take the entire leg off....
And then he feels the sensation of something cold against the back of his helmet. The biter let's go of the navi in confusion, who takes the opportunity to run away, getting to safety. A long tongue, coated in sticky black drool, snakes out of his mouth, probing at the icecream before wrapping around it and jerking the treat into his mouth. The mouth and jaw shrinking back into more believable sizes, theres chewing, and then a menacing chuckle rings out. "Strawberry.....yuuuuuum...gyegyegyegye"
He stands up, turning as sickly green, glowing eyes examine Ion."But....who are you calling puppy? I am....Gula...gyegyegyegye..." Gula steps into the light, revealing his form. On his head, was a dark grey helmet. It seemed weathered, and....wrong...somehow. There was glass shards over one eyehole, but they were busted out, allowing that eye to reveal itself.Spikes like fangs lined the metal around the mouth, and there were two razor edged barbs that looked a little like pinned back ears. The armor covering the surprisingly small body was in no better shape, being dingy, dented, and covered in spikes here and there. Raising a hand, the chomper wipes at his mouth, covering the limb in that nasty drool. He felt a spark of connection to this icecream thrower, or rather his host did.....why?" Are you my meal, food?"

INTRO 2 Eyes widening in surprise as the serpentile tongue snaked out and around the helmet, enveloping the scoop of ice cream before consuming it completely. Raising a hand to his head in the typically ‘facepalm’ fashion Ion grumbled resignedly, “Yeah I know it was yuuuuuummmmmm…It was freaking mine. Jerk.” But as the navi turned and Ion caught a full view for the first time he immediately went on full alert. The dripping tar-like saliva that was dripping from his mouth seemed almost…diseased? Like a stained sample of what should normally be there, an immune response to an infectious body.
Then there was the matter of the shattered helmet and bare eye looking out hungrily at him…a hint of recognition sparked deep within Ion’s gut. The overall shape and form of the navi seemed vaguely familiar… shaking off those thoughts as the symbiotic individual introduced itself Ion couldn’t help but snort, “Well whoever named you did it well…” muttering under his breath, Ion’s words were just loud enough to carry if they were listening intently, “gooey Gula grumpkin…”
A final question to mark what could only be the beginning of Ion’s troubles today, can this creature eat him? This was the third time in not so long that a navi indicated a desire to consume him! What was the deal? Was the whole network in a drought and starving? He literally just gave Gula ice cream! Opting to repeat the words that he had given another entity before his tone was burdened and tired, “No. First, you don’t have dessert before dinner, that’s rude. Second, I would give you a terribly upset stomach…” As he spoke the last words, an edge of steel rose in his voice and a hard glint brought his sky blue eyes to a frigid reflection of glacial waters. Hunger was an annoying motivator. Without a mind to temper the desire, instinctual hunger could only be put off by something as deeply rooted in the psyche and there were not many kind methods to quell a hungry beast. If this was the case, Ion was about to have a fight on his hands until he demonstrated that he was the Alpha predator or he put the beast down altogether. A tiny voice whispered in Ion’s mind, ‘Or you figure out if you can cure that…’

Gula cackles, stepping toward Ion with the rasping of worn metal." You threw it, gyegyegyegye." He pauses, feeling something sliding along his back, and that long tongue snakes out, snagging the rocky road and jerking it past the sharp teeth lining his mouth. He gnaws, shuddering in delight." Rocky road....gooooooood...."
At the navis words, Gula snorts, sniffing at the other navi curiously."Noooo.....I eat lots...never have upset stomach....and I eat what I want! Food, you're mine!"He whips his hand up, flinging the saliva at Ion. In midair, the sticky globules transform into gnashing. fang lined mouths. As the minignawers fly at his prey, Gula raises his other arm, transforming it into a wolfshaped buster. It was like the rest of his appearance, pitted and twisted. Around the mouth was black, caked goo. The gluttonous navi fires off a rapid volley of sickly yellow electricity balls.

BATTLE 1 Staring at Gula, with his mouth slightly agape as the monstrosity before him made a perfectly valid point, Ion muttered to himself again, “Tch. He’s got me on that one…” Helplessly watching that tongue flicker from beneath blackened lips, the last scoop of ice cream fell to the same fate as the previous and Gula visibly shivered with delight in the taste. Cooing over the rocky road flavour that was no doubt bursting over his taste buds, flooding his mouth with the same delicious flavours that Ion had only minutes before purchased. Mouth still slightly ajar with no possible comeback to the taunt, because in all respects it was right, Ion began siphoning energy from the surroundings. The gentle heat of the sun no longer warming him but accumulating within his body, Ion listened to the skeptical exclamations of Gula.
The nasty slime that he had just thrown at Ion seemed to transform in slow motion before Ion, forming hardened teeth, disembodied mouths that appeared intent on consuming everything they touched grew from the infectious filth that Gula spewed. Yet instead of stepping back and avoiding the minignawers, Ion stepped forward into the room properly and began swinging with empty hands along the same curve that the minignawers now took. Just as they had formed mid-air, a simple halberd formed mid-swing in Ion’s hands. A minimalistic weapon made of polished oak and bearing a single edged blade of Damascus steel on its tip, it was the perfect tool to slice the gluttonous mouths apart, ensuring that they did not continue on behind him and begin consuming the building. Right now Ion was fighting a battle on two fronts: suppress the navi hoping to consume him and minimize all damage to the area.
With a simple swipe, Ion used the centripetal force of the arc to clean his halberd of any black goo that may have decided to adhere to the blade. He didn’t yet know if the stuff was caustic and he certainly wasn’t going to take any chances on letting it touch him yet. With his opponent raising one arm and it suddenly turning into a corrupted wolf’s head, Ion paused for the barest of moments, ‘I know tha- shoot!’ In this battle, Ion didn’t have moments to pause, not with the predator before him intent on consuming him. The pause cost him as the tainted electricity balls closed the distance in an instant, making dodging impossible. Crossing the halberd in front of him, the air began to warp around the pole-arm taking on a light blue tint before the electricity collided. They instantly exploded outwards and wrapped small tendrils of lightning around would could only be described as a barrier of immensely condensed air. The air between the combatants shattered like glass as Ion’s barrier rejected the electricity with its own structural integrity.
“That buster isn’t yours buddy…looks like you’re in for some bad heartburn.” The movement, the natural stance of the navi and the clincher: the electric element Wolf Buster. Gula was indeed a symbiote and unfortunately a good friend of his was the host. So now posed the problem of releasing Fulgur from the parasite without doing too much damage. He had an excellent idea of Fulgur’s endurance and stamina from their previous wanderings together, but Ion had failed to expose Fulgur to his true nature yet. Perhaps now was the time. Calling out once again to the beast before him Ion addressed not Gula but the host, “Fulgur, I’m gonna need you to hold on in there. I’ll fix you up afterwards.”
Time for hesitation was over. As the final words hung in the air, Ion dashed forward with a burst of speed. His halberd suddenly flickered grey before fine threads of blue data coursed along the haft of the polearm and filled in the darker lines of the Damascus steel. Aiming at the most heavily infected areas of Gula’s body, Ion’s halberd sought them out from the safe distance of his polearm, cutting with butcher-like precision, fine incisions would be the result of this onslaught if they should land. Letting his polearm dance across the front of Gula’s body he suddenly stabbed directly at Gula’s face. It was slightly off-centre and there was little doubt in Ion’s mind that Gula would move his head to avoid being impaled. But this was not the intent of the attack. As soon as the blade passed Gula’s face the solid oak shaft began bending, arcing around sharply until the halberd was bent into a perfect circlet: a perfect collar. Yanking down with all his might, Ion drew the other end of the staff down to the ground, hopefully dragging the navi’s head downwards as well. As soon as the staff touched the ground it fused with the metal flooring, the nearby metal seeming to liquefy and flow up the staff to reinforce the collar that Ion had just fashioned.
Ion stepped back for a moment to see if the stockade-esque trap would indeed hold the navi. If it held even for a short time, it would give Ion direct access to Gula’s helmeted head with minimal squirming allowed on the other navi’s end. Perhaps he would get the opportunity to strip Fulgur of this parasitic entity, or at least examine it closer….if not, then he would have an even better gauge on the navi's newly found strengths and abilities.

Gula stomps around in frustration as Ion forms a halberd, slicing apart his lovely minignawers.Troublesome meal....All he wanted was a little snack, a quick bite, a easy chomp!!! Why was it so hard for anyone to understand...Wait...wait...
As his Corrupted Yips slam against the barrier of air, he points at Ion, a crazed light entering his eyes."You're trying to starve me, aren't you?!!!It won't work!! I'll eat,and eat,and eat!!!"Then the air itself shatters, blowing back a backlash that sends the tattered cloak wafting, letting off a sickening stench.
Then Ion says that the buster wasn't his."yes it is!! Attached to my arm, so its mine!!!!"As the halberd wielder calls out to Ful, a eye clears, revealing a blue one filled with fear."I-ion....I'm scared....h-help me-" "-e isn't here, nope!!! Just Gula!!!Shut up shut up shut up!!!" The monstrosity rapidly hammers his head with a closed fist, growling in frustration. The blasted brat would not shut up!!!!Occupied with his inner anti-demon, Gula notices the attacks too late, only able to try to defend himself and lashing out with the buster like a club.
However, he didn't succeed, and incisions find their way on the armor. As the...demon...stalks towards Ion, chomping menacingly, he finds a halberd trying to scewer his face. Too late to deform his maw large enough to eat it, Gila dodges aside, only to howl in frustration as he's trapped and brought to his knees. The abomination flails as Ion approaches, two toung like whips of lightning flow out of the buster, lashing at the navi, biting at the ground in rage.If he manages to get close enough, Ion would be able to notice that the corruption seemed to...retreat..from the Bug-element navi....

BATTLE 2 The dank odor of decay and rot began to fill the room as Gula struggled more and more. A sickly sweet scent that lay oppressively on the air, choking in its intensity. Seeing the twin tongues of crackling electricity burst forth from Fulgur’s corrupt buster, Ion stepped back a few steps so that the lashes whipped to and fro before him, a healthy distance between their tip and his face. Calmingly Ion spoke directly to Fulgur again, “No reason to be scared, we’ll get you out of there no problem.” Lifting both empty hands upwards so his palms faced the ceiling the wireframe of a mystery data began to form above them. Quickly filling in with juicy data before being visibly sealed by mirrored panels on each face, Ion was left holding two perfectly formed mystery data’s.
Addressing Gula with the same cold tones as previously, Ion tossed both mystery data’s towards him, “As for you Gula, I’m not gonna starve you. I’m going to feed you.” Abruptly the mystery data’s took on a life of their own and moved to intercept Gula’s whip wielding hand. Mid-swing the two mystery data’s would try to collide with Gula’s frantic waving and disrupt the rhythmic lashing that he directed towards Ion. Using the opening to dash close to Gula’s trapped head, Ion crouched right in front of the gluttonous navi and tilted his head as he inspected the infectious trappings that held his friend. The earlier comment from Fulgur indicated that the parasite did not seem to have fully consumed its hosts’ mind, so there was a strong likelihood he could destabilize Fulgur’s data enough to force a separation, especially since there was another host so close...
Lifting one hand, a single mystery data snapped to it, leaving the last one to play interference with Gula’s offending hand. If it failed occasionally then Ion would be struck a few times, but at this close of range the electricity would hurt more than the crack of the whip tip; a very reasonable price to pay for the opportunity of close observation. Feeling the mirrored mystery data land firmly in his hand like a well caught baseball, Ion offered it to Gula, wary of the lines of teeth that so prominently featured in his favourite past-time. “Well here ya go. You wanted to eat? Eat.” The mirrored mystery data was full to the brim with infected data, glitches ran rampant within the safe confines of the mirrored plating and the bug element could clearly be felt at this close proximity. But Gula wanted to eat, and eating Ion would be no different than eating a mouthful of junk data filled with infectious glitches anyways. Moving the data closer to Gula’s mouth, Ion knew he was playing a risky game here. There were safer alternatives for him to infect Gula, but none that would be as harmless to Fulgur as Gula simply eating the poison pill. Especially since it appeared that Fulgur had been in combat prior to this scenario, either that or the infection had been far harder on its host than necessary considering how dinged up Fulgur’s armour was. He needed Fulgur to have the stamina left to fight off Gula while infected with hordes of debilitating glitches when the moment came, so Ion was trying to preserve the integrity of his data for the time being…

Deep with the hijacked body and mind, Fulgur calms a little. Ion would save him, he would....Gula growls, both at the trapped young navi and Ion."Shut up shut up shut up shut up!! He won't save you, snack!! You're mine, now!! Too soft, won't let me feast, had to take bites.....you,meal, release me or I'll devour you for eternity!!"It was obvious the beast was getting angrier and angrier at the trouble he was going through, as evidenced by the huge divots he had taken out of the floor.
He thrashes, cracks beginning to run through the collar..but calms as Ion says the magic words."Feed me?" Then Ion sends data that interferes with the whips. Feeling tricked, Gula swings his arm, attempting to strike at the other navi. As Ion kneels before him, the beast snarls, his maw beginning to deform...But then the bug Navi offers up a mystery data. Drooling, Gula grins "charmingly", if you could call the sickening rictus stretching across his borrowed face charming.
"Yeeeeeesssss, good meal....Maybe I'll only take a few bites out of you....I have only good intentions, see? I'll take off my helmet, no fighting...." With a mettalic shreik, the helmet retracts, revealing Gula's vesige as the buster deactivates. The once healthy, if slightly pale, skin had become a nasty grey.Dark veins, reminiscent of tribal markings, if it were not for the pulsing, traced their way across his face. The once blue locks had turned into a bruise color purple, and the white had become a dingy yellow.
The tongue snakes out again, wrapping gently around the data, and draws it inside. The data fragments as he chews, a satisfied look on his face. However, that fades as the monster freezes. He jerks up, breaking apart the stockade as he clutches his throat."POISOOOOOOOON!!! YOU TREACHEROUS MEAL!!" His form flickers, seeming to divide into two, before reforming. Gulas stomach heaves, and he retches, before spitting a huge spike of wood and metal at Ion. It appeared he could repurpose what he eats...After that attack, he launches 20 minignawers at Ion, then his jaws stretch impossibly wide, big enough to swallow a navi whole. He begins to bite at Ion, only to freeze in place. A defiant voice rings out from the pitlike maw." LEAVE MY FREIND ALONE!!!" "YOU STUPID INTERFERING SNACK!HOW DARE YOU?!"

BATTLE 3 The bite of the electric whip cut into Ion as Gula thrashed about, a demonic rage building the longer the trap held him. Ignoring the lightning that crackled along his shoulder and down towards his torso, Ion continued to kneel before Gula. As the helmet recedes, showing the extent to which Gula’s infection had corrupted Fulgur’s body, Ion feels his stomach drop and a hard pit form. Swallowing hard, he quickly took inventory of the damage that Gula had inflicted on its host. The rhythmic pulsing of his tainted veins, beating in time to the quickened heartbeat of the consumed host indicated the sheer stress that the body was under from Gula’s influence. The sharp colours that had once made Fulgur youthful and vibrant where now marred by darkened hues and even the purity of his hair had become muddied and filthy with a pus-like yellow. Fighting back the revulsion that came in waves from being this close to the wretched entity, the smell was enough to choke him without the emotional blow of seeing Fulgur so powerfully afflicted.
The next few moments were filled with a half-hearted relish on Ion’s behalf and the deep realization of betrayal on Gula’s. As the throat wrenching roar tore through the air, Ion leaped backwards just in time to see Gula tear the makeshift stockade to shreds with raw force of will. But with that motion comes the key that Ion had been hoping to find. Gula’s form destabilized enough to be drawn away from Fulgur for the barest of moments before his body could process and re-purpose the data. ’Perfect. Time to overload h-‘ with thoughts cut short as the navi before him projectile vomits a wood and metal shard directly at Ion, he is hard-pressed to dodge properly in the confined space of the floor level shop. Glancing over his shoulder, Ion is already leaps backwards to dive behind the counter of the shop. Correcting his leap mid-air with a sharp twist in his hips and a trailing hand across the counter-top, Ion managed to tuck himself in behind the counter just before the impact. The large shard tore through with the ease of a cannonball through light timber. Laying flat against the ground the spike missed him but the polished checkout counter top fell, landing on his back. It was heavy enough that the impact was not critical, but certainly unwelcome and would be leaving a severe bruise the next morning…
Peeping through the hole in the front counter, Ion sees the swarm of minignawers and the ever expanding mouth of Gula behind all the flapping wings. When Gula froze in place instead of proceeding to dash forward and consume him, Ion knew this was an opening that Fulgur had no doubt fought desperately hard to make for him. The dual-toned voice that rang through the air only served to confirm this fact.
Knowing he could not dawdle, Ion reached one hand out through the hole and placed it firmly on the floor. A light blue tinge crept into the colour scheme of the floor before Ion exploded from behind the counter. Being drawn through the front of it, where the wood and metal shard had just moments before entered, Ion’s had seemed to drag him forward as through propelled by a rocket. Eyes intent on Gula’s frozen form, he ignored the minignawers overhead that would no doubt follow him. Data transduction gave him an immense speed boost but instead of dodging an attack, this would be to close the distance that had opened between the two combatants. The minignawers flickered by in a blur of speed as Ion flashed by them and stopped dead in front of Gula. Without hesitation Ion rose from his kneeling position and with the lethal grace of a trained martial artist struck time after time at the incisions in the armour and flesh that he had made earlier with the halberd. Sometimes sliding two fingers into the gap in Gula’s armour, other times striking it with a hard open palm and still others with hammerfist blows, elbows and simple clenched fists. There was a single unifying trait that held constant with each fluid attack; Ion’s gauntleted hands glowed with a soft azure light and a sharp crackle of pure white energy resounded with each blow. Every successful strike he landed, he forced more glitches into Fulgur’s system, each accompanied with a flood of purified energy to ensure the glitches took root deep in their shared body.
He would continue this assault until Fulgur’s control waned and Gula once again took control. Ignoring the minignawers that had already changed direction and were preparing to feast on him, ignoring the gaping, toothy maw before him, Ion would push this through until after a counter-attack broke his rhythm or…
The first minignawer approached, latching onto the soft flesh of his torso, but Ion continued his methodically martial attack. Each one that latched onto him would slow him ever so slightly, each draining his energy and limiting his range of motion little by little.

"Do you two have any idea how long I've been around?!? Since before those two so called heroes stepped in and messed things up!! I am far older then both of you by far, and deserve respect! And if need be, I have the power to to demand it!!"
And yet he went after unprepared, relatively defenseless navis...Gula struggled with Fulgur deep within, trying desperately to regain control so he could finish this once and for all. Crush this annoying meal, punish Fulgur...Busy busy busy, gyegyegye....
The demonic entity growls as Ion dodges his spike, though letting out a smug chuckle as the counter falls. Hope it smashes him.....Then, the floor begins to glow."What?!"Suddenly the blasted so called hero was before him, striking out with a series of martial strikes. The beast could feel buggy data being pumped into him.He had to regain control....Fulgurs control slips, and Guka cackles, with a bone shaking snap clamping his jaws shut on....empty air?! Realizing his head had jerked back, he growls. That blasted snack....
And indeed Fulgur was still working on keeping Gula from harming Ion.The young navi was also doing his best to channel the glitches to Gulas portion of the body...The beast snorts." It does not matter!! Ill still consume you!!" He raises his buster, then blinks, staggering backwards, his form flicking as the minignawers fade away.
"Nooooooo...nonononononononoNO!!I....SHALL....EEEEEEEAAAAAT......" The two separate, a nasty tarlike ooze bursting out of his mouth and the incisions, flowing off Fulgur's form.Apparently Ions hard work had worn off...The young navi was revealed to,now that the monster had left his body, look like normal, though his armor did have a few dings. Probably from combat seen before Gula's invasion...
Ful shudders, breathing in and out, his eyes wide in shock. He was free...That thing didn't have him anymore,he was free...The young navi looks up, grinning gratefully at his friend. But.....something was wrong....He glances down at his buster as it slowly raises, pointing straight at Ion.The weapon had goopy black strands wrapped around it. These strands led to a floating mass of the stuff, which chuckled menacingly as streamers of electricity begin floating into the wolf. Recognizing the prepwork, Ful begins desperately beating and clawing at his own arm, trying to knock the weapon off course."No!! Not that!!! Ion...get out of the way!!!"

BATTLE 4 ”Respect does not come with age, but with wisdom. As for power…you’re a relic Gula. Even the weakest navi’s of our time can overpower you now.” Ion’s hard words cut through the struggle of battle as Gula’s teeth came inches from his face, closing with a sickening clack. With the symbiotic being carrying on in monologue about consuming him and the minignawers now all firmly attached to his body, Ion could help be feel a flicker of relief light up inside him when the black gunk began to flow away from Fulgur’s bug infested body. As the teeth faded away, numerous bite marks could be seen trailing along Ion’s limbs and torso, his body had become little more than a chew toy for the servants of Gula.
Sighing with happiness that Fulgur was fully separated from Gula now, he broke into a tired smile but the flicker of responsibility did not waver from his eyes. Fulgur would be critically infected and even though that served as immunity from Gula for now, it would corrode his body quickly if nothing was done. See the wolf-headed buster pulled up to level with Ion’s eyes immediately followed the parasitic molasses to the floating core not meters away. The surface of the black symbiote roiled as though boiling from within, each dripping strand of darkness that led to Fulgur’s buster lending him a final avenue of revenge, Ion merely quirked his head at Fulgur and the intent behind his eyes was clear to both of them. Fulgur had taken Ion’s attack head-on. Ion would do the same so that Gula could be finally sealed and put to rest.
”I’m glad you’re back to normal Fulgur. But our fight isn’t over yet!” Lunging forward as the buster continued to charge up, Ion left hand grabbed a firm hold on Fulgur’s arm and his right grasped at the black strands of Gula’s infection that linked him and the buster. "You will eat the feast I prepare for you Gula. The one you demanded." Ion's voice left no room for further argument. Closing his eyes as he channeled every ounce of energy he could into the two hands, Ion’s left hand blazed with light as the intertwining helix structure on his emblem began rotating around one another. Forcefully pulling the accumulated bugs and glitches from Fulgur’s body into his own again. Ion’s right hand kept a tight grip on the black strands and it began transferring the bugs from Fulgur and Ion’s own body directly to Gula. Mixing the potent elemental energy with junk data, a white syrup flowed from Ion’s hand along the surface of Gula’s disembodied entity. Ion would no doubt take Fulgur’s wolf buster, but there was little doubt in his mind that he could entomb the infection before he was taken down. Gritting his teeth as he bore down, his mind sharpened to the finest edge in order to maximize the transfer and ensure that the strangely fluid white junk data would envelop the entirety of Gula before the buster discharged.
Once Gula was enveloped and the white syrup completely sealed him inside, it would begin to compress around the roiling black tar. Squeezing the strands until they receded into the core, crushing the core until it was immensely dense and could not find even the slightest bit of room to move. It would form a perfectly white sphere, and contain the infection within until either Ion or another Bug elemental could overpower the hardened white shell. This was the last executable that Ion had time to instill into the white junk data and the bug elemental energy before the wolf buster would no doubt ended his connection to the black strands and Fulgur.
The white of the viral syrup would serve two purposes: if Ion had missed any of the symbiote, Fulgur would be able to see the black stain and eliminate it before it broke the seal on Gula’s newest coffin or tried to infect anyone again, as well as it would immediately let Fulgur know if the seal began to fail. Both essential features since Ion did not anticipate being around much longer after he took Fulgur’s charged blast at point blank.

Fulgur, seeing Ion's look, gets what he has planned. He shakes his head, his eyes widening."No....I'll be OK, I don't mind being infected....just, please, get out of the way!!!"He grunts, feeling the glitches drain his energy. So...sleepy.... The young navi weaves, then shakes his head, focusing. He had to stop this, energy drain or no energy drain!!! But the blasted demon was being difficult.Gula was intent on one final piece of revenge, even if he couldn't take over Ful again. Both, boy and beast, are surprised when Ion grabs ahold."I don't care about the fight, please, get to safety!!" It was evident Fulgur really didn't want to hurt his friend. Meanwhile, there's a snarl from Gula the ooze ball as he gets what the navi has planned.
Fulgur blinks in confusion, feelng a odd sensation. Wait....the power vamping....it was slowing.....He yawns suddenly. But, he was still pretty drained.Feeling the bugs flowing into him, Gula let's out a howl. This wasn't fair....He was supposed to be the winner!! The syrup flows around the entity, trapping it, just as Gula activates the attack, disconnecting."No!!!!" The blast beams out, a wolfs head seeming to consume Ion's torso. But, the Wolf Roar seemed..weaker..then usual, probably due to the low Energy Ful had. That, or he'd managed to subconsciously weaken his attack...Transforming the smoking, now cleansed buster back into his hand, Fulgur hurries over to the guy who'd freed him, kneeling with a guilty and anxious look on his face."I'm so sorry!!! Please forgive me!!" He wipes at his eyes, then searches through his inventory."Please, please let me have a recovery item......"The young navi glances up at Gula, examining the ball real quick. Good, completely sealed....He can stay that way.Ful goes back to searching, hoping to find something that could help.

OUTRO 1 The cacophony of sound, the chaotic movements, the warring wills, they were all beneath Ion’s attention as he focused on pouring every fragment of energy into the transfer to Gula. It was only when a distant howl resounded in his ears and the innocent scream of Fulgur split the air that he knew the battle was over. The connection had broken between the three entities and the only thing Ion registered next was white. Pure, blinding white. Even as his eyes shuttered closed in a blink the light did not lose its intensity, glaring white even through closed lids. The next sensation that came to him was heat. Striking him like a forge-heated war hammer the Wolf Roar made contact and finally in that last blow came relief from the light and heat, instead darkness took his mind.
Ion’s body was limp as it was thrown away from Fulgur and Gula with the Wolf Roar. Landing heavily amongst the wreckage of the front counter, consciousness came slowly to the battered warrior. A single strand of thought floated amongst the void like a dandelion seed caught on a summer breeze, ’You made it…’
As seconds dragged on, each seeming to stretch into eternity in the sensationless void that was Ion’s mind, more strands joined the first. Each twirling, weaving, dancing across the immutable blackness until a cord was formed, then a rope and finally a tapestry of thoughts to colour the darkness of his mind. Finally his eyes flickered open, still blinking lightning streaks from his vision, Ion was confused by the cold sensation of rain hitting his face. It seems that in the final blast of Fulgur’s had set off the sprinklers in the store and they hid any watery eyes that Fulgur may have had for the moment. Seeing the boy in a major state of distress, but otherwise outwardly okay, Ion spoke up, “Gruhh-“
Hmm? That wasn’t quite right. That wasn’t the wonderfully witty remark that he had planned to say. Trying again Ion grunted, ”Rrrggg.” Yup. Not exactly the eloquence he had hoped for. Letting his eyes shutter close for a moment, the pain began to return with his consciousness and he could feel the throb of being struck by one of Zeus’ lightning bolts begin to spread through his body. Drawing up his focus and wrapping his mind in the void as the pain grew stronger and stronger, Ion managed to properly speak up this time, though with the rasp of a 40-year smoker, “Good hit. Is he…sealed?” A low chuckle rumbled in his chest, shaking his blackened torso before he continued, a short gasp betraying the pain from laughter, “Hrk! Shoulda done that in Sharo.” In spite of his wounds, Ion was clearly in good spirits and wouldn’t end up being deleted from this encounter. Even if Fulgur didn’t have a healing chip, Ion would just log out and heal up within Vince’s home server. In his state he wasn’t sure if he had the ability to grab the orb and log out with it, so for the time being Fulgur would be in charge of taking care of any clean up. Gula was all but harmless now that he was sealed, and the young warrior could very well be trusted as its ward. After all, he knew its potency better than anyone now.

Fulgur bites his lip, searching frantically. Come on,come on....He...he couldn't find a thing....Uttering dire threats at himself for forgetting such a vital thing, the young navi looks down at Ion, then glances back up, clenching his eyes shut. Ion saved him, but....he couldn't do a thing...
Hearing a utterance,Ful glances down, sighing in relief and ignoring the sprinklers. At least he wasn't about to fall apart from deletion..The young navi's brow comes down in concern as Ion utters again. Oh no...did he damage his vocal program? He seems to shrink, feeling guilty. He should have been stronger, should have resisted Gula better..
Ful blinks as Ion finally manages to speak, saying good hit. The boy twitches."N-no, it wasn't...." At his question, he nods, getting up and grabbing the ball before coming back over, sitting down beside Ion, holding the trapped entity tightly. No way Ful was letting this monster get even the slightest chance of getting away.
When Ion said he should have done it in their spar, Ful gives a uncharacteristic growl."Y-y-you idiot, this i-i-is exactly why I d-didnt!!!! I-I-I could have really h-hurt you if it was at f-f-full power!!! I-I-I did hurt you!!!" Realizing he had yelled at Ion, his injured friend, the young navi looks down guiltly."S-s-sorry....S-s-should'nt have d-d-done that...." He let's out a sudden, loud yawn, his mouth mimicking Gukas favorite movement, though nowhere near as freakishly wide or distorted. To be fair, he had been through a lot. Even if the bug hadn't drained him, he probably would need resting anyway.Ful weaves, gripping the ball tighter. Just a quick...doze....
