Ruling Type: Single Judge # of Posts: 2 Intro, 4 Battle, 1 Ending for both Story Version: Off, Matched to V20 Version Bonus: Off
Location: Element City (After Collapse), Rainy day
([OOC: Intro 1/2])
Once again, I end up back here..
Rosario stepped slowly and cautiously. The rain continued to pour down heavily on him, bringing his soul down further as drop by drop pounded against him. Visibility had grown very thin, but there wasn't much to look at. Broken buildings resided everywhere. Shards of glass, large and small, gleamed through the darkness. Cars lay littered across the sidewalks and streets. Some still echoed their dominate noise of it being stolen, even though being far from the case.
Ever since his awakening here, he hated coming back. It left many unanswered questions that he would never stop searching answers for. He looked toward the crying sky. He was like a little kid who was lost trying to find his ball, and was never able to escape his prison of loneliness.
All alone, huh..
The drops of rain continued their echoes of pitter patter through Rosario's head, with every echo causing him to remember more and more of the emptiness that now controlled his life.

Just as one man's trash is another man's treasure, one man's permeating solitude and deep, endless reflection on the source and magnitude of black depression is another man's "me time".
Something is coming closer to Rosario... and it's not even remotely stealthy about it. Sounds varying from whirring saws to the screech of shearing metal breaks any silence, much less concentration, that may have existed in the area just moments before. It doesn't take long after this for the visage of a Navi clad in mirror-finished green and white armor to blast from one of the wreckage piles with a spray of rubble and the sounds of a buzz-saw screaming through the rain. The Navi quickly lands on his feet and turns to the hole that he'd just escaped from, catching the sight of Rosario out of the corner of his eye as he does so.
Edge: ...I don't have long.
Edge turns a worried eye to Rosario as he turns away, his wrists shining with a brilliant green and white light as he does so.
Edge: I'd watch it if I were you, kid! You don't wanna mess with what's coming!
Without another word, Edge bolts off feverishly into the rubble of the ruined city, leaving Rosario behind with the sound of something approaching from within the gaping crevice left behind....

([Intro: 2/2])
His peace and quiet was quickly interrupted by this abrupt appearance of this Navi. He was almost blinded by the exuberant light that shone from his wrists. Heeding his warning he tried asking from concern.
"What danger do yo--"
But he was gone. He moved so blindingly fast! Suddenly, Rosario's eyes grew wide and quickly directed his gaze to the large rubble the mysterious Navi emerged from. He was able to sense an enormous power heading his way. It seems the presence noticed him too, and wasn't happy that it did. Rosario stood ready, in his casual posture with his right hand in his pocket.

Standing ready or not, here it comes! With an ear-splitting screech, the rubble pile explodes out in all directions as if rigged by a bomb. Bits and pieces of random, destroyed data pepper the area like a shot-gun and heralds the true epicenter of the chaos; a massive blade of pure light. The energy-weapon slices forward with intense and unyielding speed with an apparent hunger for Rosario's neck. Reaction time is rendered to virtually nothing as the weapon slices through the air and closes the gap... before turning on a dime and cutting into the sky just inches from Rosario's face. What on earth could it m-

Edge: Y'know, I always loved StrikeMan. Have his Amiibo and everything.
Edge tosses the bat over his shoulder and smirks, taking a slightly more conventional fighting stance as he does so.
Edge: Anyway; I tried to warn you. I guess I'll kill you now. K?

"Greh.."
Despite the force of the impact, Rosario still stood standing, holding the back of his head for a second. Then, he spun on his heel, looking straight into the eyes of his enemy. His own eyes started to gather some bloodlust.
"So you are my enemy. I could sense that you weren't just leaving like that. That's a pretty funny joke though."
Eight sabers stained with darkness bloomed from the back of Rosario. The formed the formation of the triangles around a sun in a kid's picture, with Rosario being the sun.
"Being killed isn't my cup of tea."
As he said this, Rosario leaped high into the air, sending all eight of his blades to crash down on Edge's location. He then summoned heavy, sheer-cold winds to carry him behind where Edge stood so that he wouldn't be stuck between that mystical blade and the MLB star. Once on the ground again, he sent the winds directly towards Edge in order to send him tumbling back.

[Battle 1/4]
Edge's smile widens as the swords take formation behind Rosario, framing the Navi in blood-lust. This attack was already predictable, and Edge stands in a position to be more than ready for it.
Edge: Aw, you're too kind...
In the moment that Rosario begins his leap, Edge reveals the beginnings of his real fighting prowess; raising his arms to the side, he launches a chain of bright green energy to the nearby wall of a wrecked building with the speed of a snake striking out against its prey, embedding the bladed pendulum-like head into the smoldering concrete with the sound of breaking stone. A split second later, he retracts the chain through his wrist-launcher, causing his body to be violently yanked from a standing position and well out of the range of Rosario's sword-barrage. This is when Rosario lands behind the still moving chain-wielder, prepared for his next move.
Edge: ....but everyone....
Edge releases his previous chain, causing it to dissipate into shards of energy before vanishing entirely. He then takes his free hand and thrusts it downward, sending another blade-headed chain into the ground in preparation for what will likely come next.
Rosario's wind torrent somewhat surprises Edge, reversing the blade Navi's momentum in the blink of an eye. However, the anchor that he'd placed before stops him from being sent too far...
Edge: OOF!
...while simultaneously giving him a mild case of whiplash as he reaches the end of his chain. Literally. This doesn't stop Edge, though. He still has to finish with his comeback! His free wrist sparks white and a large, glowing sawblade takes form, spinning in place like a shield and blocking enough of the wind to give Edge a foot-hold, which is all that he needs.
With a swift, fluid motion, Edge sends the sawblade flying through the torrent, literally cutting the breeze with a whistle. This creates just enough of a disruption in the winds for Edge to reach his free arm forward and launch yet another chain, this time landing it at Rosario's feet. Dropping his footing, Edge recoils himself forward and hurdles toward his target at break-neck speed. With his free hand, he forms another saw-blade on the back of his wrist just as he flies under his previously thrown blade, closes the distance, and performs a swift slice as he releases his anchoring chain and sling-shots himself past Rosario. A split second later, the first blade closes the gap and strikes with spinning vengeance, screaming as it cuts its way through. But this isn't where it ends; now in a position behind Rosario, Edge takes his free hand and reaches out just as the previous spinning blade passes, launches a chain directly at its core, catches it in mid-air, and brings it around in a vertical arc, sling-shoting the disk of death back to Rosario for a second pass with a spectacular show before re-taking his footing with a smile.
Edge: ...has to die eventually!
Edge pauses, his smiling expression going blank as he reflects on his statement.
Edge: Well...
Edge puts his hand on his chin, his eyes shifting to the side as he does so.
Edge: ...everyone but me, anyway.

Rosario knew Edge was fast, but he brought this to a whole new level of being quick. Seeing that his winds actually made an obstacle in Edge's path, he let down his guards a small amount, but even that was too much. Edge made a quick recovery, using his energy saws in order to cut through his winds and even charge forward. Rosario was too focused on the first saw-blade cutting through to him to block Edge's oncoming assault. The saw-blade on his wrist left a nice, wide cut across his side. As for the first flying saw-blade, it was met by a large ice spike, projecting it into the air. From this same icy blockade, Rosario moved his right arm in an arc in front of him, causing another spike of ice to gloriously project from his first spike in order to trap the blade until Edge yanked it out.
"That was an impressive strike. You are must be confident in your abilities. Unfortunately for you.." His blades that lay pierced into the concrete of the ground now slowly wiggled themselves out, and floated back to Rosario, resuming previous formation. "My favorite meals are the ones who give the biggest fights."
Rosario then slammed both of his hands onto the ground. Within moments, a patch of ice quickly enveloped roughly five thousand feet centered around Rosario. Of course the temperature of the area dropped immensely, causing even the rain to freeze as it fell. The rainy day that surrounded them now turned to a hailstorm, Rosario's favorite weather.
Rosario stood up and started skating towards Edge. Small winds started to form around Rosario's right fist which quickly solidified into an shiny ice gauntlet for his next move: a direct, hard punch aimed straight at Edge's face. As he passed, Rosario's two top most blades in the formation attempted to slash at Edge's arms.
Once Rosario passed Edge, he quickly turned around and made a kicking motion in an arc with his right leg. The sound of ice cracking could only be heard before a bridge of ice erupted from the right side of Edge, making it clear that it wanted to crush his body into the ground.
"Navi, you make me curious. What alignment do you consider yourself? Good? Evil? Neutral? Surely, you aren't selfish enough to waste that strength on your own ideals."
Rosario shot his arms out at forty-five degree angles, causing his blades to one by one shoot into the ground behind them. The blades stood up tall, and started to glow on and off as they seemed to absorb darkness from the ground. The darkness they absorbed swirled up from the blade into the hilt, a beautiful sight as they shone their glowing strength.

[Battle 2/4]
Let's see... the area becomes a skating rink; that's not really advantageous. Then the ice falls; good thing Edge's insurance covers against hail. Next up is sure to be another sword att-
Edge: BAHG!
Rosario's punch lands true, slamming into Edge's face hard. Unlike the less than effective baseball bat strike from earlier, Edge is knocked off-balance by the unforeseen straight and takes some hefty damage from it. However, he also has the presence of mind to grab onto his previously anchored chain and twist his body in mid-air, avoiding the blades before they can slice his arms.
Edge: Okay...
Edge slides farther than he would have liked thanks to the ice, but manages to land in a sitting position, which he quickly augments by crossing both his arms and legs to take a rather surly looking position to match his now annoyed expression.
Edge: ...here's how the game's supposed to be played:
While still skidding along on the ice, Edge quickly leans back with his arms and legs still crossed and passes under Rosario's kick.
Edge: Sword guys use swords, punch guys use punches.
Without breaking his surly expression, Edge breaks one hand from his tightly folded position and launches one of his chains skyward, connecting it with the ruins of one of the buildings and lifting the still cross-legged Navi out of the way of the incoming ice bridge, landing him safely on the other side of it and directly on the point that he'd placed his first anchoring chain.
Edge: I was going to give you a really cool line about how my favorite victims are fruit-cake weirdos like you, but that just ruined it. Good job
Breaking his sitting position, Edge flips back and stands on his fee-
Edge: HOOWAH!
...aaand he promptly falls on his rear. He'd already forgotten about the ice. Edge curses under his breath, looks around, and carefully stands himself up.
Edge: Well, that's a bit of a tactical disadvantage... guess I've gotta get used to things being a bit icy....
Edge then reaches out one hand, opens it, and drops a chip to the ground. The chip hits the ice, and the 5,000 square feet around him are Repaired and returned to normal.
Edge: ....seriously, why do so many Navis forget that we can do that?
Edge raises his hands up and stretches casually, one eye slightly open and watching Rosario's show of darkness; obviously preparing some form of stronger assault.
Edge: As for my "allignment"; some Navis don't care about cliche' labels like that.... oh, and speaking of cleche'
Edge drops his arms and points to the ground in front of Rosario.
Edge: WHAT'S THAT?!
Edge's wrist shines with a green flash that signifies the launching of another chain, yet none comes... at least not from the most expected source. From the exact spot that Edge had pointed to, a green chain erupts from the ground like a spear, bladed edge prepared to eviscerate Rosario given a split second of a chance. With the current length of the chain fully extended, Edge drops and rolls to the side, taking his end of the chain in hand. Now in position, the blade Navi releases a series of white pulses down the chain, each of which disappear into the ground and reveal themselves near the end that Rosario is now dealing with, expanding into saw blades that run along the chain like a track at various pitch and angle. As each blade reaches the end of the chain it spins in place until the next one reaches its destination, at which time it's sent off flying in an entirely random direction.
Roughly 20 light pulses emerge from the ground and expand into blades, each one firing off in a different direction and turning the area where Rosario stands into a chaotic storm of saws, followed by the original chain breaking its rigid stance and lunging downward and burrowing into the ground again like a snake going for its hole, which also buys Edge the time that he wanted.
Edge: Good luck with whatever that attack that you're plotting is!
This is when Edge takes off running.... in the opposite direction of Rosario. Leaving the icy Navi to deal with the onslaught, he turns the corner and disappears behind the rubble of a nearby building.

([Battle: 3/4])
Darn you!
Rosario witnessed the intense energy flow into the ground. Looking back at this snake, it's something Rosario's never seen before, he wouldn't even know where to begin. This fight was definitely an interesting one.
"If this isn't entertaining enough for me, you are going to regret it."
Rosario hopped backwards grabbing two of his swords in his hands. He lifted them from the ground and readied them in his stance. Then, once the first saws started to fire off in rapid succession, Rosario started his dance. He performed a simple slice against the first saw, bashing it towards the building. Then, he used both swords to smash second into the ground, before grabbing the tip of the blade and throwing it like a knife to pierce the fourth saw. Rosario rolled across the ground and picked up another sword. He gallantly chopped the next saw high into the air with both blades, after which he jumped into the air and sent the two blades he held crashing into the ground, piercing two more saws. The next two blades he grabbed shined a brighter aura of shadows. With each swing, they seemed to leave a beautiful, shadowy trail that sparkled even in the darkness of the rain. He sliced the ninth and tenth saws in wide motions. This mistake caused the next two saws to cut across his right arm and chest. There was only a light scratch across his chest, but his arm took a heavy blow. He couldn't handle the weight of his swords.
"Well, at least it was interesting. I guess it's time to up the ante already."
Rosario rose his right arm into the air. The swords in his hands, the three on the ground, and two of the remaining four still absorbing shadows, all suddenly imploded into sparkles of purple. These sparkles flowed slowly into Rosario's wound on his right arm. A dark fire slowly brewed in his wound, then suddenly it erupted, engulfing his whole arm in a corrupted fire. He then took a step, staring down the chain, and sliced in a large one hundred-eighty degree arc in front of him. The fire along his arm created a piercing wave of darkness, obliterating the remaining saw blades. Unfortunately, the chain had dissapeared into the ground before he could break it.
Rosario shouted down the street as Edge turned the corner and dodged his wave.
"My charge attack wasn't ended, but you did weaken it, I give you props for that much. Unfortunately, you will be my dinner. That won't change."
The last two blades in the ground suddenly rose into the air. Two giant pillars of light encased them with a choir of angels sounding in the background. Once the light faded, the two blades were now immense giant broadswords of darkness, each ten feet tall and five feet wide. Rosario jumped and grabbed both of the handles, having them fly him to the demolished intersection in which Edge turned the corner of. He then jumped down to the center, and before even making sure Edge was there, he rose both of his hands and then made a motion of throwing something with both hands. His two broadswords started spinning quickly, and then were sent down, tearing the concrete and causing various pieces of rubble and brick to fly everywhere.

[battle 3/4]
Rosario may have had the sheer power advantage from the start, but Edge's superior speed and quick wit wouldn't be out-done so quickly. Or so he'd tell himself through this entire scenario.
He wouldn't be too far off in this case, though. Even though Rosario's assault was fierce and powerful, Edge had started evasive measures before it had even started; he wasn't going to take a proverbial fist to the face a second time. And seeing those swords...
Edge slows down to give Rosario a chance to catch pace, then stops dead in his tracks when the swords appear, shooting the dark swordsman a knowing grin while releasing a length of energy chain from his right launcher.
Edge: Nice toys kid...
An then it came; Edge was more than prepared for this one. The swords slash down like a pair of falling buildings, but Edge doesn't run from them. Oh no, he runs toward them, dodging just a hair-length from their deadly edges as an increasingly dark smile passes across his face for a split second.
Edge: ....gunna' enjoy using them!
Just before the blades reach the bottom arc of Rosario's swing, Edge reaches out his arm and attaches his hooked chain to the edge of the blade and allows himself to be rocketed behind Rosario due to the raw momentum, narrowly avoiding the shockwave of rubble that follows. Shooting back as if thrown by a catapult, Edge continues to lengthen his chain as he blasts like a rocket toward the remains of a wall. Flipping around thanks to his chain which is still attached to one of the giant swords, Edge sticks his landing on the wall, anchors his end of the chain, and begins retracting it. This causes a fairly strong mechanical pull to anchor the sword and make it extremely difficult to pull back into position. And that's when Edge lashes out; releasing a new set of chains, the deceptively relaxed OEL Navi rushes down the line that still holds Rosario's blade, traveling at blinding speed and closing the gap as he generates a new set of saw-blades. With one astoundingly quick leap, Edge spins in mid-air and passes right by Rosario, his saws forced to the ends of his chains via centrifugal force as he spins like a top, turning him into a spinning cyclone of saws; one that is now baring down on Rosario.
His perpetration complete, Edge passes Rosario as the spinning blades shred indiscriminately with countless blows and the screaming sound of all manner of hard matter being shaved apart inch by inch. All this before Edge sticks the landing a few yards before Rosario just as he had the wall a few moments before. This is when he allows a newly formed set of chain-mounted-saws to fall at his sides from his wrists as he kneels, eyes closed and a content smile on his face.
Edge: See, kid; there's one thing that you still don't understand;
Edge stands up and turns, his happy-go-lucky now replaced by a noticeably more serious and downright dangerous smile.
Edge: You're some guy who thinks that he's the holder of some dark power, just like ten thousand other Navis in the undernet. You're gunna' eat Navis and show what a big man you are. But here's the real story; you're really just a clone with a different face, and you're about as unique as any other poser.
Edge sands and faces Rosario, whipping his chains around and stands at a much more battle-ready stance.
Edge: But me? I'm an OEL enforcer, kid. I was made to take down Navis who actually are unique, and who can do more than you'll ever dream of. Navis who would make you cry if you knew just what they could do to you. So bring it on, you self-magnifying hack; I'm going to let you feel just how a real Navi dies... first hand!
With the spark of battle now ignited in his heart, Edge's saw-blades whir in place with a loud hum, as if awaiting their chance to tear Rosario's body asunder.

[(Battle: 4/4)]
When Rosario landed on the ground, he immediately fell to his arms and knees, panting heavily. His whole left side had taken major injuries from Edge's pass. None of the wounds seemed to be lethal, as if Edge was toying with him, giving him a sample of the power he held. To imagine, Edge being able to manipulate Rosario's blades within a millisecond of planning! Clearly, this foe is a veteran. He's been down many roads, and experienced many fates. This Navi is one of those whom deserve to call themselves above the others. However..
[smear:FF00FF]"Me? A clone? That's.. very absurd.." Taking deep breathes between words, Rosario stood up slowly, grasping his left side with his right arm. "You think.. this dark power.. is my true strength..? I'm not a clone.. and I will never be a puppet of the dark. I.. am Rosario. I've had.. many troubles in my past.. but.. I don't wield the dark in order to obtain power. I continue to rely on this power granted.. to me.. in order to continue getting closer to the light!"[/smear:00FFFF]
With this, Rosario's right arm flew into the air, and instantly froze into an icy blade. This time, a hilt protruded from the midsection of the forearm, with a couple spikes littered throughout. The blade part itself was ice sheek enough to cut an animal in half with minimal effort. Rosario now stood tall, his cold red eyes faded into an icy blue. Heavy winds of sheer cold and ice started to rise from behind him and encircle him as he spoke.
"The 'Light' cannot exist without the 'Dark'. The 'Dark' cannot exist without the 'Light'. There's someone I must protect, Mr. OEL Navi. That someone is very dear to me, and has also been tainted by the dark forces that lie in the shadows. That someone believes in the 'Light', and as long as they do I shall follow. After all..."
Rosario let out a smile before letting out a deep breath and closing his eyes.
"No matter what power I have, I will always protect anyone I can, whether they're a part of the 'Light' or the 'Dark'! Not all heroes have to be pure.."
Rosario opened his eyes and immediately dashed for Edge as his icy winds trailed ahead of him. These winds were planning to lower Edge's visibility. Not by much, but enough. They would track Edge wherever he went like heat seeking missiles.
As Rosario closed in, he acted as if he was going for a straight stab through Edge's chest... before seemingly vanishing. He reappeared behind Edge and lunged for a slash across Edge's back.
Rosario knew how Edge fought now. He initially thought distance would be the key to victory here, but it only made things worse. He tried a close encounter once, and it only dealt little to his adversary. His solution: deception. Rosario set up this trick hoping Edge wouldn't notice until he was weakened. The sheer cold winds provided more than just coverage, they contained ice. Using the last of his strength, Rosario continuously caused the ice to form into a sheet thick enough to act like a mirror as Rosario moved blindingly fast, but thin enough that Edge wouldn't notice until he caught onto to this charade.
Seemingly endless, Rosario kept this gag up. Fake, fake, lunge. Fake, lunge. Lunge, lunge, fake. On and on, as long as he could weaken him, he should be able to land the final blow with this manipulation. But if Edge were to stop him, he'd have no way of fighting back. All of his remaining energy is being completely drained attempting this, mostly due to Rosario overestimating by making sure he himself and his winds follow Edge perfectly no matter where he moved. All he needed now was to focus, and continue his strikes with two hopes: connecting the hits, and Edge not noticing.
