Tuttle watched Chie's mannerisms with care, not missing a single detail. The mention of her parents was a sore spot, as it should be; no normal child would seek to cause issues for her family. But still...
Regardless of anything, Tuttle can't help but feel slightly disappointed; Chie's arrogant nature held strong to the very end with an off-putting remark. A remark, however, that she would not simply be allowed to get away with.
Tuttle: Indeed, one of us should, child...
Tuttle whips around one last time, turning toward the exit as he gives one final look over his shoulder.
Tuttle: ...be sure and visit us again some time.
With that, Tuttle strolls off, leaving the cafeteria to slowly re-fill

The fight was amusing, in an innocent light.
Xenneth watched as the female had seemed to stand as if ready for battle along with the man who seemed to be a worker at the lab. It was little surprise to Hikari, as the only comedic display and mixture of tenacity was not uncommon to the OEL Labs. There were many individuals that proved to be unusual to Hikari himself, and one of them was his own “Sister’ who shown signs. He looked to the female who exchanged last words with the departing figure, and so bought him to stare at the tea before him.
“U-umm…Ms. Kira,” he began lifting his cup with a sour expression, “I-I know…you did not do it for me, b-b-but thank you for standing up to him. I-If it were me, I don’t know what I would do.”
He know the truth of the matter: he was still not the strongest he could be. Many times, others had yelled at him, encouraging him to try be stronger than he was. Many criticized that it was needed, especially how things developed when he lost control of the situation, and thus, his NetNavi that caused some turmoil. He looked to Chie, wondering what kind of person and NetNavi she had that would give her such strength. It was not uncommon for the NetNavi and Net Operator to reflect each other’s personality and ideas.
He, of all people, was the exception to that rule.
“E-even though,” he said half-heartedly, “I know I would not have been able to do that myself. T-that’s why…umm…thank you.” The violet haired boy said with a weak smile upon his face. He taken the cup to his lips, sipping as he slowly drank with his eyes open in that half-open gaze.

... ...
As Xenneth loosely rambled around to thank her, Chie sipped her tea as she noted the dispersion of the crowds, wondering exactly how a man like Tuttle became in power. Regardless, she found the issue irrelevant as she herself did not intend to be here regularly. As Xenneth finished, she placed her cup down as she intently focused on her own PET.
"You're incorrect, I did not stand up to Tuttle for me, I couldn't care what he thinks of me. Have you not noticed I defended you more. I find those who pick on those who can't defend themselves intolerable. "
Meanwhile as Tuttle left, Guardian entered OEL and soon hologram formed in the front lobby, looking around she was shocked at the real work but soon recalled that OEL crossed the real world with the virtual world, she soon tracked down her PETs signal to the Cafeteria as she walked into an empty room except for herb netOp and a young man. Approaching the two, she addressed her netOp jokingly but slightly concerned if real.
"Did someone put sugar in your tea?"
If there was anything to know about Chie, its under no circumstance put sugar in her tea, last time that happened was net battling course test, and she nearly deleted her opponents navi, before Guardian could plugin. Chie didn't look at her navi at first as she continued to look at something on her PET.
"No, I didn't cause the cafeteria to turn ghost town. It was a third party who left not too long ago, good thing your here, mind explaining this?"
Chie showed Guardian the PET as a symbol of a familiar white ring and a blue and gold sphere were on an emblem. Guardian soon recalled the resemblance. A look of annoyance under her visor.
"Long story short to fight a Jedi narwhal I merged with an operating system named Unity. Are you telling me I?"
"Soul unison, not quite, from what I gather this is the memory of Unity's power and form it gave you, but your conversion program disallowed it to remain so it converted of into a battle chip even if its used its useless in power advancement without Unity. "
Inserting a blank chip into her PET, she downloaded the information onto thee chip as she placed it in her pocket before continuing analysis on her PET.
"Besides a lack of sleep, it seems your combat systems need maintenance. We won't be home for a while so I'll just start maintenance on that. Casual or Kimono."
Guardian should've guessed that Chie wouldn't want to show any signs of missing her, and Chie saw the same in Guardian. Guardian sighed as she responded, crossing her arms.
"Kimono."
Chie took out two Chips from her jacket as she slotted them in one at a time as transformations occurred.
" Disarmor, fashion chip in, download. "
Guardian's shoulder pads, elbow guards, knee guards, and helmet all seem to detach before engulfed in cubes of data and disappeared back into the PET, Mid back length purple hair fell down, covering the black thin mounds where ears would be on a person as well as loose bangs to the tips of her pupils. Her leg armor shifted the a more flatfooted approach as armor removed.
Guardian didn't mind disarmor, but disliked it on its own, only leaving her armored parts of her torso, her slender frame made her look weak without armor or a second fashion chip. Chie caught that concerned facial expression before it was made as she was glad that the cafeteria was empty.
" Kimono, fashion chip in, download "
A black and purple Kimono soon coated Guardian, covering the slender frame, with her navi mark on her collar bone still visible. Guardian took a seat at a chair at the table while Chie turned back to Xenneth.
" this is my navi, Guardian. Guardian, this is Xenneth, careful, he's timid."

Along with the random masses that file in, one particular gentleman stands out from the group; taller than Professor Tuttle and even thinner, he is dressed in a simple white lab coat and casual business dress beneath. He walks in and looks around the room for a moment from behind a pair of round-rimmed glasses... or so it would seem, as his eyes appear to be almost entirely closed, until he spots Xenneth, Chie, and Guardian off in their corner of the room. With a smile, he makes his way over and stands at the table with a nod.
Hello, sorry to interrupt your afternoon like this, but my name is Everett Higsby, and I am a researcher here at the OEL.
Everett looks on with a smile and a very open attitude in stark contrast to his superior who had just left. His body language and gestures are non-threatening and friendly, perhaps even a little exaggerated in such a way to show that he doesn't harbor Tuttle's general attitude.
Everett: I couldn't help but see the conflict that the two of you just underwent, and would like to extend my sincerest apologies. It's not much, but perhaps this will help to make up for your poor treatment at my superior's hands:
Everett reaches into his coat and pulls out two slips of paper, handing one to Xenneth and one to Chie.
Program Voucher This item allows the holder to purchase one item from the Program Shop free of charge. Max value: 15,000z Everett then takes a step back with a nod, giving both operators and the newly rendered Navi space.
Everett: Please enjoy your stay. Should you have any needs, I would be happy to be here for you personally.
Everett then waves lightly, turns, and walks out from the cafeteria.

"You're incorrect, I did not stand up to Tuttle for me, I couldn't care what he thinks of me. Have you not noticed I defended you more. I find those who pick on those who can't defend themselves intolerable. "
“D-do I really come off as that weak?!”
He thought this, but he knew the answer was ‘yes.’
The violet haired boy sighed in a pathetic manner, trying to fight back the urge to slink into a corner, go into a defeated curl of a ball, and think about his entire life to the point. So, he just done so at the table as he lifted the tea cup to his mouth, sipped from it, and looked off to his side as there was nothing there but a wall to see. His eyes shifted from there to the table, resisting the urge to come off as shrewd for the young woman. After all, she had come off as so headstrong, but yet, so friendly.
It baffled the mind
“I-I appreciate it Ms. Kira,” he began, “B-but it did not matter. I am fine. Besides…I have fought for so long…so all I could say to him was…that I would keep fighting.”
Fighting? He did, but he let it be vague.
The violet haired boy had seen the share of catastrophes and scenarios that threw him and his friends into danger. He had endured the worst from the previous times, and yet, things kept getting more difficult. The only thing that was more difficult than Net crime was his current health. He was battling with alternative ‘what to do’ paths in his mind in the long run: what he should say to his friends, what he should say to his NetNavi, and least what he would do about the suggested experiment from SciLab.
He was at a loss.
"Did someone put sugar in your tea?"
Yes, they did, but Xenneth loved sugar an-…wait.
“Nyaaa!” The violet haired boy yelped in surprise. He was so lost in his thoughts that he ahd not quite noticed the NetNavi approach. “W-who?!”
A self-explanatory question.
Regardless of Xenneth’s yelp, the obvious NetNavi conversed with Chie. It had not taken long for him to figure out their connection. He looked on as they had begun to banter about some of the strangest things…some VERY familiar strange things that made Xenneth raise an eyebrow towards Guardian. After a while, he had fallen back into thought as he looked off to the side and shifted his eyes in a concerned manner.
“D-did he say…a Jedi…Narwhal? T-that’s absurd!”
Of course, he would have thought about looking for what this was about, but his NetNavi at the moment was out. A reminder as he looked to the female NetNavi change her graphic by the use of Chie’s P.E.T. His NetNavi went to shop for clothing as well, but yet, had not returned. It made him worry, but he pushed that feeling aside. Lately, they needed to avoid danger anyway seeing that they had indulged themselves into fighting even in the most trivial tasks.
It had been so long after Juno’s defeat, or whatever they could call that victory. They needed to be stronger, but the cost was becoming too high.
" this is my navi, Guardian. Guardian, this is Xenneth, careful, he's timid."
“Ah!” he yelped again, proving their point as he was stirred from thought. “I-am Xenneth! My name is sorry! I-I mean…that’s…”
He fumbled his words flustered, destroying the very foundation that the English language was built upon.
Hello, sorry to interrupt your afternoon like this, but my name is Everett Higsby, and I am a researcher here at the OEL.
It was quite noisy here today.
Xenneth had heard out the scientist’s apologies and accepted the coupon. Before he could even get a word end, the guy had seemed to politely walk off. He was very generous, not to mention eccentric. The violet haired boy made sure to keep note of him as he tucked the item away for now and looked to Guardian once again.
“Wrong…I’m sorry. You said, your name is Guardian and you said you see, Unity? U-umm…are you okay? Is something wrong?”
Something wrong indeed. Xenneth knew that Unity did not fuse with anyone unless there was genuine danger.

At Everett's interruption, Chie and Guardian unnervingly glanced simultaneously as they noted the incoming researcher, their synchronicity was almost uncanny as they reacted. As he tried to speak for his superior, Chie and Guardian both found it typical for roles, the responsible undering to the arrogant boss, to cover for the bosses disrespectful ways. As she received the paper, Guardian wondered if it would ever be used, looking at her netOp with a gaze of curiosity.
"Thanks Dr. Higsby."
As he walked away, Guardian turned to Chie, wondering the fate of the coupon as she herself was not a navi that gets out of her PET often as Chie turned focus to her PET.
"Are you going to ever use that?"
Chie didn't look up as she responded, knowing very well that her navi shouldn't be left without proper strength, regardless of how often they leave the PET.
"already spent it."
Guardian blinked twice as she looked slightly surprised.
"That, was fast."
Guardian soon turned towards Xenneth as she listened to his questions on the incident, she soon realized why Chie didn't leaved as she too, finds this young individual to be too cute to ignore. She leaned in towards the young man as her virtual elbows touched the table while she leaned in, her tall back arching as she looked down at the boy.
"Ah, yeah, long story, I met Unity, we ran into a pile of bugs and glitches given morphic abilities that had power above mine, and that green OEL navi, Edge I believe was the only navi capable of combatting it but didn't. Until the ONB commander arrived, I had to fight to stop the narwhal from total thrashing, so Unityy leant me a little strength."
Chie rolled her eyes as she scoffed at the world little.
"Little is by no means fitting. Your attack programs had little time to compensate for the speed this unity operates, which caused notable damage considering you haven't had major progression enough to have a frame of reference."
Guardian should've guessed Chie wouldn't let the damage go so easily, but wasn't aware how extensive they were.
"Still holding onto the exam? What did you do anyways? "
"they wouldn't let me use the direct chip system, either use a rental navi, or failure of the final portion."
Guardian immediately knew the answer to what happened but chose not to speak of it, immediately reverting the focus back to Xenneth.
" That's an interesting PET model, unlike the progress model that appears to be a net battling oriented, as I can't see a processor and drive to be used for more than storing and operating a navi. Speaking of which, where is your navi if I may ask?

It was interesting, the Operator and NetNavi was so much alike.
The female and the NetNavi’s banter had gone back and forth for a while. It was only that when the NetNavi turned her attention to him and leaned over did he feel inadequate…but then again, that was almost with anyone that looked down from upon him from high. He had listened to her explanation, somewhat trying to hide his reaction to the story. Most of it was worry…but not for the OEL operatives. After all, he knew they could hold their own against any disaster, and Guardian was safe, so things could not have gone too iffy.
" That's an interesting PET model, unlike the progress model that appears to be a net battling oriented, as I can't see a processor and drive to be used for more than storing and operating a navi. Speaking of which, where is your navi if I may ask?
“O-oh…well, It’s meant more to track my heart rate than anything,” he modestly spoke, “As for my NetNavi, she is out shopping. I-It has been a s rough couple of months. I thought she should go and buy something nice while I go check on my P.E.T.”
Truth be told, he was getting worried. He knew Megami was strong, but he also knew that she was one to get into trouble since her thoughts did not line up with “most” people. The violet haired boy had rubbed his wrist as he thought of the P.E.T. and the NetNavi that was supposed to be in it. Part of it was guilt since he knew Megami’s self-esteem was not the best. Although he felt that the girl and her NetNavi were a cute pair, he was nervous around women in general.
“I…umm…am sorry,” sliding his thumb index finger along his hair repetitively as he explained, “I am not exactly the greatest Net Operator. I am more or less…reliant…on my NetNavi’s abilities. Plus, my friends and my sister are the ones that have all the highly customized NetNavis with high processing power. Megami and I…uh…’borrow’ our strength from others.”
His cheeks flushed red, embarrassed. He almost felt like he was feigning strength in front of the young woman. She seemed to be a very versatile and competant woman. It only proved to be somewhat more humiliating that she wasted her time talking to him.
Now that he thought about it, he wondered why.

As Xenneth spoke, Chie and Guardian simultaneously filled in a mental puzzle on the story of Xenneth, and using glances the two were able to converse.
“O-oh…well, It’s meant more to track my heart rate than anything, As for my NetNavi, she is out shopping. I-It has been a s rough couple of months. I thought she should go and buy something nice while I go check on my P.E.T.”
Guardian looked at Chie making a slight gesture to the mans chest then wrist, which Chie read as: "Heart problem led to special PET?"
Chie tapped her PET on the icon once which signals she concurs. As the story went on, Chie was next to react. The two could interpret each other for the most part, but certain words were hard to be discrete about.
“I am not exactly the greatest Net Operator. I am more or less…reliant…on my NetNavi’s abilities. Plus, my friends and my sister are the ones that have all the highly customized NetNavis with high processing power. Megami and I…uh…’borrow’ our strength from others.”
Chie tapped her screen, particularly the emergency dial function as she tried to sign: "Medical Navi? Perhaps an accident happened."
Guardian stroke her hair to signify she concurs until both simultaneously quickly look into each others eyes shocked for a brief moment, Chie almost spit out her tea as they both had the same thought. Chie looked at Xenneth with immediate concern.
"Xenneth, if you don't mind us asking, you said rough couple of months, and you have a heart rate monitor in your PET, did you by chance have an accident and is your navi a recovery/medical navi? "
Chie once took a law course, and remembered navi specification laws and how they are in regards to specific function Navi's. Absent medical Navi's are a feared idea, as depending on the person, it can be catastrophic.

"Xenneth, if you don't mind us asking, you said rough couple of months, and you have a heart rate monitor in your PET, did you by chance have an accident and is your navi a recovery/medical navi? "
“H-huh?!” he was utterly shocked…and confused, “W-wha?”
He was not sure why she would think about such a thing. It sounded as if she read to much into Xenneth’s words. The violet haired boy certainly was bothered that she was confused and wanted to talk more about it, but he was not certain it was not the best idea. Not only that, who would believe him? Then there was the fact that he was not the one to include more into his problems that were developing.
“O-oh! N-no!” he was adamant about this, “No, no, noooo! Sorry! It’s nothing like that. My NetNavi is just peculiar…you see? She was customized using DNA as code, and so, she experiences some abnormalities. I-it’s hard to explain.”
The female was quite inquisitive…Xenneth would have to be careful about that.
Either way, she was point on somewhere. There was an accident, but he rather not talk about it. He shown this with how he looked off and started to sip some more of the tea he had in his cup. He kept thinking about those abilities and how they were causing problems, more so than solutions by the day. So many NetNavis were harmed thanks to some of the vile darkloids and NetNavis being able to manipulate her, and not to mention there was the incident where she lost herself to the exposure of dark chips or influences.
“T-there are…a lot of strange things on the net,” he continued, “A lot I do not understand. I rather things be normal like they are now. That professor that was yelling, he was right about a few things. I just really rather not think of what he kept rambling about. ‘Others that far exceed me’ and ‘Force far beyond?’ I know about those things, and I just wish I did not.”
He sipped the tea once more, pausing. He could not help but to think about Phoebe, someone who he thought was a student, but was actually a NetNavi. It was only because of his friends, those people that came to the aid, that they were able to save her. Then they turned around and challenged “God” or whatever that thing was that declared to end the world and build his own personal heaven.
It was bothersome that it was a story he lived.
“S-sorry, I digress. I-it’s just…Megami is one of those ‘unusual’ things, the first from the very beginning…and this all started because I want a custom NetNavi of my own, and my mom literally used her own blood and paid money to get one for me…because I was thinking about ‘me’ that one time, and it seems like more things happen when I decide on…well…anything.” he sighed. His tirade of a vent over as he smiled weakly and looked to both of the females. “U-umm…sorry. I did not mean to just blab about my feelings…but you seem smart. I just thought perhaps you would understand.”
He pressed his index fingers together as his cheeks flushed red. He was nervous, and just assumed the girl would think he was crazy from his recollection.

As the young man spoke, Chie and Guardian felt sympathy for him as there was hardly a moment of instigation in his tale as he seemed to be, just there from their take. They carefully listened to the whole story, and attempted to avoid filling in the blanks.
“No, no, noooo! Sorry! It’s nothing like that. My NetNavi is just peculiar…you see? She was customized using DNA as code, and so, she experiences some abnormalities. I-it’s hard to explain.”
Chie finally found something in common with Xenneth as she gestured to Guardian.
"DNA grafted Navis, I'm aware of the concept vaguely where a personality program is forged from DNA strands to emulate a personality. Guardian isn't stock model either, if you divulged your Navi's secret, I'll divulge mine. Guardian doesn't have a standard personality program as she comes from the wreckage of a server protection program project too advanced for its time. The program was designed to know right from wrong and have firepower, it broke needless to say and the AI data was salvaged and adjusted for a navi body 11 years after, a fine one at that when you see behind the armor."
Guardian soon felt embarrassed as she was given focus as she blushed, looking away from Xenneth covering her face with her right hand.
"Must you do this in public, especially here?"
"Flirting never killed anyone."
As Xenneth continued about his Navi, Chie found it cute as he finished his tale. However both Chie and Guardian had a similar line of thought as they wanted to know about the thinnest leg of his story.
"Don't most children want a custom Navi? Well I never said anything but one day I woke up and this violet beauty was installed onto my PET."
Chie rested her hand on the holographic, enjoying Guardian without her visor as she teased. Guardian blushed as she quickly redirected conversation back towards Xenneth by completing Chie's line of dialogue.
"So, if we may ask, if it weren't for Megami, would you want anything to do with the net? It seems the net brought you nothing but pain, and Megami is the main link between you and the struggles brought by the net and Megami allowed you to pull through."

Take a Moment & Think of Just Flexibility & Love & Trust "So, if we may ask, if it weren't for Megami, would you want anything to do with the net? It seems the net brought you nothing but pain, and Megami is the main link between you and the struggles brought by the net and Megami allowed you to pull through."
“O-oh…w-well...” the violet haired boy stroked his hair behind his ear thinking about her words. “Well…yes.”
She was right, just as he felt she would be.
The violet haired boy was so frenzied, he had not quite taken in that Chie and Guardian both had been a similar case like himself. She was very kind to let on about herself, but at the same time, there was slight discomfort. Usually, when there was another unusual character, it also meant some sort of disaster or danger would follow. He was still getting used to it, but in truth, he knew by now that he could not resist the urge to help someone…especially since him and Megami fueled each other’s urge to grow stronger.
“S-so…Guardian is also an unusual program as well?” he started, “I-I see. She is very well customized. Plus, you have a lot of graphics for her that were specially tailored to her personality. I can see you care for one another a lot.”
He examined guardian thoroughly. Although he was not the smartest, he did know the in and outs of programming to a certain extent. Mostly, he did this using amplification and adaptability of Megami’s own programming to make ends meet. He was not sure about other special abilities Megami has, but they both still continued to evolve…more than they even knew. The young boy had released a relaxing sigh of breath from his mouth. He smiled, warmly, as he started to think.
“Hmm…it’s strange,” he mused, “I guess Megami has helped me grow more than I know. I could never imagine myself sitting anywhere with some girl talking about my feelings. I use to freak out a lot! Especially when it came to dealing with stressful situations. I could not even imagine net battling a long time ago, now it’s like a reflex. It’s far from working at a Flower Shop and having tea on my breaks.”
The atmosphere was nice!
Sure, it was filled with people that were passing by in intervals of a quarter of an hour, and that they were in a cafeteria in a lab, but still, it was nice that he was sitting somewhere in public with someone he did not know and was making a new friend. Mostly, someone introduced themselves in the midst of combat or under the circumstance of a high tense situation.
But this was pleasant, and it made him muse out a small playful laugh.

. .
As Xenneth answered Guardian's inquiry, she did not expect him to answer the way he did. While true most children grow up wanting a custom navi and netbattle to their hearts content, things change later in life. As an adolescent they truly realize how cruel the net was, and whether they wanted to get involved or not. The main deciding factor always came back to whether they had a navi or not.
“I-I see. She is very well customized. Plus, you have a lot of graphics for her that were specially tailored to her personality. I can see you care for one another a lot.”
As Xenneth spoke of Guardian, Guardian and Chie looked away from one another for a brief moment before settling eyes on Xenneth.
"Well, she's got her own specialized fashion Chip, disarmor. It removes the bulky parts of her armor so her form can equip other fashion chips such as this Kimono. Also it allows for her attack data to be repaired without putting her in sleep mode or stasis. Also you seem like the type that would be interested, including the body, your typical Navi is made of five programs, Guardian is made of six."
Guardian sighed, knowing very well what the sixth program was. She didn't like it, as it made her feel obsolete.
"Yeah, that program. The conversion file designed to retrofit old programs and adapt a server tier to Navi tier. Nothing special."
Moving on, Chie let Xenneth speak, noting his calmness yet could easily tell he's on edge, which annoyed her as she can't tell if he's hiding something PR not.
"I guess Megami has helped me grow more than I know.
Chie smirked as she found a way to teass him a little.
" 'some girl about your feelings', you're not about to ask me out on a date are you? I don't think Guardian would approve."
Guardian turned to her with a facial expression that was aggressive and giving off the vibe she wanted to say something along the lines of "if I weren't a hologram I'd slap you" before biting her virtual lip as she said in a shakey tone.
"Remember who knows every injured part on your body I did see the burn marks before the PET fully destroyed. "

Take a Moment & Think of Just
Flexibility & Love & Trust
They seemed so friendly and playful, even in a mock fight.
The violet haired boy admired their playfulness. It reminded him of his sister’s attitude with her program. It was great to feel normal days like this. The violet haired boy had not been able to see Rosetta as much due to her acting funny around him. He was not sure if he done something wrong…but he was sure he said something that was wrong, and something that he never fully apologized for. Still, he was not sure if he understood her anymore, family or not. He trailed off in his thoughts, not exactly catching the “five or six” programs part.
He was sure he was not the best at NetNavi programing anyway.
Of course, Hikari had right away seemed to snap back into reality as he jumped hearing Chie’s strange question. He done this while swallowing some of his tea, and in doing so, tensed up. His eyes watered, choking and gagging on his tea. A date? He still had trouble even dressing at times in anything fancier than a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. He was not the most graceful; he was not good with button up shirts nor nice dress pants. The violet haired boy soothed his chest with a rub, wiping away the tears with his sleeve, and then looked to the two.
He was nervous, not good at this situation, and this happened many times.
“N-no! O-of course not!” he begun, but then he still was not sure if he said it right. Women were so fickle after all. “B-but…I-It’s not…like that! I-I mean, I am not saying you aren’t cute…o-or no! Wait! I am just not good at this kind of things…and I wouldn’t ask you something like that! I certainly wouldn’t want to cause conflict between you a-and Guardian! I-I have seen how strong-willed you are…s-so I don’t want to see you two disagreeing!”
He was honesty, flustered, and most of all, not the best with explaining himself. He had a technique that he used after finding himself in these situations. He had learned to do this after dealing with his friends…and the tight-suit wearing NetNavi and her Net Operator: he would place his hand on his chest, breathed with ease, and then looked to the female with a calm gaze and a smile.
“I-I meant…you’re nice, strong, smart. I like those things.” he answered, “I am just…not sure I can have such a thing right now…l-like a date, but I know I want to protect my friends. So…I think I would like to appreciate you and Guardian right now…as my friends.”
He smiled warmly towards them both. That went smooth…ish. He felt he at least explained himself better than before.

As Xenneth went on, Chie and Guardian could predict almost every word as he spoke. They found his uneasiness quite cute as he finished. His declared intent was interesting to them as they studied his behavior but his such a search elegantly.
"you alright? You seem to be a bit tense, do I need to send Guardian into your PET to check your heartbeat, I so dislike her visiting uninhabited PETs"
Guardian turns to Chie annoyed as she recalled history.
"in five years you only plugged me into a network three times. What is this about other PET's when the farthest I go is a computer with no net connection at school, or your home computer and you don't need me to do more than manage and sort your files and ensure your homework is on a disk!"
Chie sighed, knowing Guardian had this building up for a period of time but bringing it up now was awkward enough.
"Bringing this up now? You could've asked, I just had no need to constantly send my navi out."
"oh yes, you have such a routine, school, afternoon tea, than homework, that is if you have any for the time you use at lunch and before instead of socializing normally. "
Chie slapped the holographic wrist as it phases right through.
" You enjoy the routine and you know it.
