Warrior heard the shot, but wasn't able to react in time before Xenneth had taken the hit again. That guy was way more tenacious than he looked -- Warrior was beyond impressed. But at this point he was feeling a little disappointed in himself for letting Xenneth take so many shots like that.
"Why don't you step out here and see them with your own eyes rather than through a lens?"
There was no telling where this girl was hiding. No telling why she was either, if not just to shoot them in the safety of her preferred environment.
He'd planned on hitting the road soon -- when in a disadvantageous situation, it wasn't a bad idea to temporarily retreat and try an approach from another angle. But he had to get what little he could out of this encounter before moving on, and he believed Xenneth and himself could last just a little longer to at least see who was shooting them.
At some point, he was hoping she'd just slip up and expose herself, but judging by everything that had led up to this moment that didn't seem too likely to happen.

“Cus’ you’re just too cute when you not aware who lookin’ at’cha!” The sound of the gun cock rung from the fog once more. Every little sound giving detail just like before. A repetitive process, but yet something clicked differently. The time it took between loading last round and this one was delayed…almost as if the pattern was interrupted because of a single thought that crossed Senshi’s mind. With her hand drawing to her waist and pulling to her gun. The gun cocked once more placing in a cartridge.
“You know’ what, hun?” she begun, “Since you last this long, I have something special for ya’!”

“If we keep going like tis’, hun. You won’t have long.” she said with her usual upbeat tone, “The trial will end soon.”
A fair warrant, but yet, she wasn’t sure how he would take it.

Well, she wasn't wrong about that. Things had been going pretty poorly, needless to say.
The impact of the shot struck a lot harder than before. Senshi was an awfully aggressive admirer.
"Guess we can't reason with this one, Xenneth. It's probably best if we bail."
It felt oddly disgusting to go running from a fight, but Xenneth had taken quite a few hits and Warrior couldn't ensure the boy's safety anymore (not that he'd been doing a great job of it up to this point -- Senshi was able to distract him from that initial goal pretty effectively).
He made his way to the nearby door and brought Xenneth along, guiding him through the fog. Looks like they'd be retreating today.

As the doors shut, Xenneth and Warrior found them self in the next room. The fog had been dense, and the next room seemed to be no exception. A simple glance under the door would reveal that this unearthly fog was rolling throughout the mansion and seemed to pile up in the halls with time. As the two would look around to look at the room, they would see the long hall, and in the center a single shadow in the distance that had a form that was unmoving.
“Wh-whose there!?”
Xenneth’s fading call was met with the same effect: a fading presence. The shadow was gone, lost in the fog of the crossway of the hall. Between the two, Xenneth and Warrior could come up with a plan, right? However, it seemed that the phantom of the violet haired boy looked to Warrior for action. With a hesitant glare, he awaited Warrior’s orders to see what kind of action he would take with a stranger lurking in the fog.

Hesitation versus Hastiness. That was the thesis of this dilemma from what Warrior could see.
He wasn't sure which one he had been punished for the most, up to this point, but to him this was the turning point of finding out.
If slow and cautious didn't work right now, as he carefully approached the door to the next room, then he'd know certain which attitude he'd need to switch to for this test he appeared to be in.

As he took his time and parted the clouds of fog and mist, there was something that appeared in the center of the room partway to the door. A single female figure who sat upon the terrain Indian-style. Her legs were tucked in a bend of the knee under her backside and her eyes were closed. She had long raven black hair with her left eye covered by the cascading locks. The other side had a single closed eye. Her body was adorned by beautiful long silk robes that were over cotton and shackled by protective chainmail. Her feet was adorned by socks and sandals and her hair at the back was pinned by a ribbon that merely tried to tame her long flow of dark hair, but to no avail.
The female figure sat quietly with her eyes closed, but her right sat three swords: all sheathed except there was one two her left free of any type of holster. She sat solemnly with her hands upon her legs. She said nothing as Xenneth and Warrior and approached.
“M-maybe…if we run past…we won’t get into a fight.” Xenneth’s observation was fair, but who was to say he was wrong? A solemn woman like her simply sitting on the floor with so many swords could be an experienced swordswoman…right?
Either way, it was Warrior’s decision, and Xenneth sat right beside him awaiting his choice.

Well, no negative results was a good enough sign. Heck, if proceeding slowly and carefully made a new beautiful woman pop up every time he chose that, it'd be smooth sailing from here on out.
He'd gone too long without a clue of what's been going on. If this woman was as hostile as Senhsi, that was a chance Warrior was willing to take to finally get some answers.
He knelt down next to her as non-threateningly as humanly possible after approaching just the same. Hopefully he wouldn't flip her switch by breaking her meditation or whatever else she was doing right now, but time was kind of pressing so he wasn't totally concerned with her agenda right now.
"Excuse me -- sorry to interrupt. My name's Warrior. Can I bother you for a few questions?"
Hostile or not, unless that door over there just so happened to be the golden gates, Warrior wasn't too worried about finding himself in another potential fight.

The swordswoman opened her eyes in a slow, calm manner. She looked to the figure next to her, glancing him over, before she turned and seen Xenneth who still stood before her. It did not last long, though. The phantom yellow child had sat down right before the female figure. She had welcomed it with a simple nod of her head before turning towards Warrior once more. Her expression unchanging even as she spoke with a nonchalant voice.
“…yes.”
Her answer was simple. Her movements frozen as her ears were open.

Well, that at least went better than intended. Warrior didn't necessarily plan to sit around and have a picnic, but he at least knelt down in respect so that they could talk at eye level.
"Do you know what's causing the fog or the storm in this mansion? And do you know the way out?"
Either piece of information would be helpful at this point. The former would at least point him in the direction to shut down said fog so that he'd be fighting a less uphill battle with Senshi if she came back. The later would lead him toward his initial goal to get Xenneth out of here.
There wasn't much else to be searching for at this point.

“…this fog.” she had begun looking from Warrior to Xenneth. “Indecision incarnate and a cruel prank of a child right before you. That is the result of this fog…but the same can be said of the human mind: mystery, uncertainty, danger of the unknown. All three you have encountered so far. This part that lies in the fog…patience, clarity, wisdom to decide to move one. However, you cannot stay here in limbo forever. You must make a decision eventually.”
The woman once again remain solemn, even after hearing the second question. Her eyes close, her body a statue until she spoke again. “…the answer to the second question, I can give, but…would you want to spare the time?” The female awaited his answer. Solemnly, quietly.
Xenneth looked from her to Warrior with a worrisome expression.

" . . . "
The fog felt like it was growing more dense with each passing second. Was that really the case, or was Warrior's own indecision and impatience just getting to him?
Whether or not her later comments were directed at himself or Xenneth wasn't too clear. But he had tried letting Xenneth call the shots earlier, and then Senshi happened.
Whose indecision was causing this fog?
Well, who's else.
Jacob Rayner. His name literally meant 'Deciding Warrior'. Patience he had plenty of. Clairvoyance wasn't his forte and Wisdom wasn't something he was most associated with, but Indecision was not his enemy to overcome.
The solemn woman closed her eyes. The worried Xenneth looked to Jacob Rayner. And the Deciding Warrior looked back to him.
"Yes or No, Xenneth. Do you still want to leave?"
That was his gamble.
If Xenneth's indecision was causing the fog, then he was either about to cause a whole lot more to roll in with more of that indecision, or maybe he'd be able to clear some of it away by finally making his own choice.
Odds may have not been in favor of the favorable outcome, judging by past experience, but Warrior had faith in the boy. Regardless of whatever, he was ready to deal with whatever came from it.

As Warrior look to Xenneth he answered…
…there was no answer.
If anything, there was no phantom, no form standing before Warrior. That’s all that was there was an empty space with fog filling the portions. If Warrior would look left, right, listen…there was nothing. The phantom seemed to be long gone and there left in the space was only Warrior and the female swordswoman who, in response to Warrior’s question, simply lowered her head in a bit of disappointment. The female took her head slowly lifting it and swept it in one motion to place her hand on the handle of her sheathed blade. With another, she drew her sword making a swift wind follow and blow from her spot to the reaches of the fog. It parted as if out of respect and the doorway that was beyond the path was wide open.
“It seems you were abandoned,” she had gone on to say, “The phantom, if he was to go somewhere, it would be beyond those doors. That is…where your friends await after all. Just be sure, upon leaving, to take the key from that door.” The female had looked towards the distant glimmer from the doorway and the space that was filled by what seemed to be a yellow key. It was most likely what she was referring to. However, upon taking a sit once more and placing her weapon into its sheath, she returned to a neutral position.

Well, he'd had worse things happen before. You win some and lose some, that's just the way things worked.
"Thanks for trying, stranger. I'll let you get back to what you were doing."
Wasn't much left to decide. A key to take and a door to go through.
Failure or not though, the trial had to end, and that time was imminent as Warrior followed through as guided.
