Welcome to The Subterfuge tower, a custom RP Story!
This custom story is centered around one party of 5 navi (first come first serve, one navi per player), as they battle a powerful foe within his devilish domain!
I, Protomanfan25, will act as a "dungeon master" of sorts, and control the environments and NPC's. Please note, this is my first time running a custom story! So if their are any issues, PM me!
Important note!!! : This is Canon! Everything that happens here will be a part of your characters story mode history!
Some rules to note: +Deletion is permanent within the tower. If you are deleted, you may not respawn. (The chances of this occurring are few, but don't dawdle for to long, or else I can smite you :3 .) + There are timed events! (certain number of posts before happens etc.) So if you join, please plan on being an active and efficient party member. +Communicate! The party is dealing with this problem together. Acting like a lone wolf is alright, but it's very hard to manage a scattered party. So work together, or die alone. +The most important rule: Properly read the DM posts for each segment. Don't skim them, even if you hate how I write, missing a detail could lead to mass confusion and derailing of the story.
Players: 5/5 We are full! Sorry if you wanted to join! Maybe next time!
Guide to reading my DM posts: + Normal text like this involves me introducing the environment, or narrating a situation. + Italicized text is the action of the environment or an NPC. +"Quotes form NPC's are normal, with quotation marks, and a fancy color." +Lastly, OOC content will be written in underlined text. This can also be used to state objectives, or suggest actions to the players.
The Introduction:
Your navi awakens in a small, confined cell, with walls and a bench painted a bright white. The lights above your navi shine harshly, making their first look around the room very hazy. The bars locking your navi in are also painted white, and appear to be made of a strong and indestructible metal. Peering out of their solitary confinement, your navi can see that their cell is actually one of the sides to a pentagon of rooms containing other imprisoned navi. In the center of the room, there is a mirror, reflecting the already bright lights, making it hard for the navi's eyes to adjust. If your navi has an operator, they receive radio static when attempting to communicate.
Players may chat to the other navi, and narrate their personal waking up during this time, while we wait to hit full player capacity. Once the player cap. is reached, I will kick off the plot.
Good Luck and Have Fun!

Starless finds itself in a white cell with no idea how it came to be here. Strange. Taking the few steps to the cell door, it attempts to shatter the bars.
CLANG
No luck.
This was a problem.
Remaining silent, it simply waits.

RainMan found himself in a cell.No explanation of how they got there or even where they were.RainMan tried to look around the area he was in but instantly closed his eyes,it was all white! And to make things worse a mirror was spreading sunlight around the room!RainMan went to try and call Hado but all he got was static.
"Ether the PET's not working again or something seriously messed up is happening.." RainMan thought to himself.RainMan looked through the bars and saw another Navi.
"Psst...Hey are alive?" RainMan asked.

Hearing the question from the blue navi in the other cell, Starless speaks. A myriad of voices, some harsh, some calm, some more feminine in nature and some sounding like grinding stones. They form together in a curiously appealing, though still unsettling, ensemble.
"This one is data, as are all things in the net world. A more precise question would be if this one is aware. Yes. This one is aware."

RainMan flinched at the Navi's weird way of speaking. However not wanting to disrespect him and possibly ruin his chance at escaping RainMan kept his compositor.
"Alright then good.Do you have any idea of where we are?Because I sure as heck don't."

The blue boy was full of questions. Irritating.
"This one has no idea. This one attempted to break out, but this cell is impervious to the abilities of this one. This one will wait until something happens. Time is irrelevant."

Enter Antlion
Antlion rose slowly... He could not find out where he was, or why... His head ached, and his body was still recovering... He gripped the bar, sending a wayward insect out to try and investigate... The rod itself felt firm and thick, powerful, it was unbreakable as it seemed, and the insect flew to Rainman, and after finding out not one, but two Navis were there, he began to speak from the far end, making no effort to look towards the center, rather, his bugs were doing fine, aside from trying to look through their eyes, which would almost blind Antlion...
"I cannot see you directly, but I have bugs flying about, I can hear you two... If you can hear me, respond, or give my friends a signal."

2 Player slots remain! Spread the word. In the meantime, here is something to make you conversation more... dynamic.
For Rainman, and Starless: Suddenly, from the ceiling outside of the rooms, small turrets pop out from the ceiling. One pointed at each individual cell. You watch as what appears to be a camera lens on each sentry twists and turns, zooming in and out, and stops when the lens is properly focused on your navi. The sound of two loud gun shots echo through the room. The Source is unknown.
For Antlion: Your turret pops out in unison with the others, however it acts very differently. Instead of focusing the lens, it spins around, as an inferred wave is sent out of a small but powerful light on the edge of the turret. "Unauthorized organisms detected." The turrets quietly announces. Two gun shots ring out from your turret, and it shoots down your insects with great precision. As if nothing had happened at all, the turret turns off its inferred, and spins back towards Antlion. It begins the focusing routine, then settles.

"Yeah dude I can hear you!" RainMan shouted relived that some one else was around, especially with the first one not acting so friendly. How ever his relief didn't last for very long as turrets suddenly popped out!
"What the-!" Rainman said.Rainman then began to notice that the sentry gun was starting to aim for him!
"Woah!"Rainman said as he turned himself into a puddle incase the thing was planning on firing at him.

"I must have overslept." A calm, but high-pitched voice sweetly says aloud. Looking around the room in which he his confined, FM finds nothing but bright light and strange reflections.
A prison? He had been here before - unfortunately, this time there wass no one to break him out.

The sound of shots being fired booted up B.o.B.'s systems.
"Where am I?...Some sort of cage?...No...A prison..."
B.o.B:"Hello!"
Shouting out to see if there were any other prisoners, or maybe even their jailers...

So there were more individuals in the other cells. Obvious, cells were for holding individuals. However, it irritated Starless to no end. Waiting was still the only option.
It simply stood at the door of it's cell, patient and waiting.

Introduction's end:
The sound of an explosion and shattering glass echos loudly within compact room.
Without warning, the mirror in the center of the room has be broken, removing the harsh glare, and allowing all of the navi to see their allies.
This new found clarity also allows the imprisoned warriors to see what caused the violent destruction of the mirror. Small chunks of burnt plastic and sharp shards of the mirror litter the floors. Clearly, It was blow up by a plastic explosive of some sort. Miraculously, no navi was injured by the deadly debris.
In the location where the holistic mirror once lay was a new, metal platform. In the center of this platform is a stout pillar, also coated in metal, which has a large, red button on top, stuck in a pushed down position. The rod itself has multiple small holes, appearing like a speaker. Sure enough, it begins to produce sound.
"Good to see you all have woken up..." Croaked it a quiet, yet deep voice from the speaker. Oddly enough, the speaker sounds extremely clear, as if the man (Or at least you assume they are male) was in the room with you."It seems that some of you have been waiting for a while, so I will skip formalities, and get straight to the purpose of this meeting. My name is The Dolor. And I specialize in creating illusions."
Through the speaker, you here the sound of "The Dolor" snapping his fingers. In moments notice, the sentry turrets, the debris from the explosion, and the doors to your cells all disappear, as if they never existed. However, the small insects previously summoned by Antlion are still dead on the floor.
"As you can see," The Dolor continued, "My illusions may be fake, but are just as deadly as the real thing. So please, follow my instructions, because you are all... invaluable to me. Allow me to elaborate. You all posses special qualities that I find extremely interesting. I need you so I can... hmm." The illusionist pauses for a moment, clearly pondering. "On second thought, it might be easier to show you all. Please get on the platform and press the button. It's an elevator which will take you to a lower floor so I can... properly display why you are here."
A loud click booms through the acoustic room, as the speaker turns off, and the elevator button pops up, now being able to be pushed.
New objective: get on the "elevator" with your allies! The last player on should press the button to begin the descent.

Antlion did not rush, rather, he had questions, and to get them answered he needed to act civil, and of course, this was easy to some extent.... He meandered to the elevator, and waited casually...
"Well, if he wishes it so, we shall, not like there's much of a choice."
He stated, sighing...
"But in any form, I will not press this button, I'm what you call evil, but I'm not soulless of course."

Quite intriguing, this voice with no body. Starless wanted to find the source. Stepping out from the cell it was previously confined to, it walks to the platform, steps onto it, and speaks out to the others.
"Step onto the platform. This one wishes to find our host."
