The main update this time around had to have been the chip system. What do you think of the system, and how do you think it will effect the Melee's current metagame? Do you think that it was an appropriate expansion of the special emulation/stage chip system? How do you think this system should expand? While we won't know the impact that they'll have for a while, what kind of changes do you predict this system will bring about in regards to Navi creation in the long run?

Love it, very excited for it.(not just because I can already use 9 per battle). I find the system very balanced so far, the only thing is I wish there was more chips! They are all attack chips! I wish we could get some more variety. I like that we can upgrade them just like programs. I look forward to its progression and hopefully the return of viruses some time soon as well.
I'm way excited to see what they're capable of. I'm already brainstorming ideas for a mainly chip-using navi.
I'm interested in seeing what ends up being allowed in terms of a navi's native attacks in relation to chips.
For example, an attack that adds an effect to the next chip used, or the kind of attacks favored by @theremnantsoul and to a lesser extent myself, the kind with 0 DMG but some massive bonus to something later on.
Overall Chips are a great addition and I'm excited to watch the system develop.
Warrior: Heyo. She sure is, more than ever I might add. I'mm'a hit you up on discord in a bit to discuss some things, just giving you a heads up ahead of time when you get the random friend request for that lol
