Fans Plan a Revival of MegaMan Legends 3
Capcom: "Due to insufficient fan participation, we are unable to continue working on Mega Man Legends 3."
Fans: "What did you expect us to do? Make the game for you?!"
Capcom: "Well...yes..."
Fans: "Challenge accepted."
So I'm not sure if you guys already heard about it or not (or if you've clicked the linked about already or not) -- and I've been gone for a few months, so it's definitely the first time I've heard about this -- but fans decided to go balls deep and recreate the Legends 3 Project where Capcom left off.
Sounds like a group of people after my own heart.
Whether or not it'll actually succeed is sort of a topic for debate; most people presume Capcom will order a Cease and Desist when they find out about it. But then again, it's pretty likely that Capcom's least interest is to piss off MegaMan fans even more (and they don't have a history of interfering with fanmade projects anyway).
What are your opinions on the matter? Are you excited for the project, or somewhat unsure of whether the end result would be all you'd hoped for? Do you think it will make it to the final stages of development, or due to some unfortunate reason (Capcom's interference, the Team's loss of interest or ability to continue, etc) it'll never get finished?
Thoughts?

sounds like a pipe dream to me. If it works good on the legends community, but projects making new megaman games aren't really anything new. (as made clear by at least one large project for each franchise except zero). Only time will tell if it gets past the introductory stage, but when not being motivated by money as just a fan project it will very likely fall behind.

I'm hoping they at least show as much progress as those working on MMBN Chrono X. If they even manage to come up with 3 or 4 demos, then that's a huge step in the right direction. ^^
And on that note,B.o.B,check out Megaman Battle Network Chrono X,if you haven't done so already. ^^ They're pretty good at what they've done so far.
