[smear:005500]Time passes slowly, yet disappears in an instant. The pressure in the area steadily grows with each passing moment and the violent quaking continues. The shattered, bug-ridden buildings crack from the power, and the bugs themselves undulate and swarm before Ruin as a single, clawed paw breaks light from behind one of the bug-ridden structures. Slowly but surely, the vissage of a nightmare personified drags itself into view. Its "skin" is comprised of cracked, gray bugfrags, glowing dimply in random spots. The overall shape is that of a massive wolf, with a gigantic mane rising behind its head and jutting off to a set of uneven protrusions, each one burning white-hot at the tip.
the creature slowly walks into view, then spots Ruin and quickly turns. In a flash, its giant head is just inches from Ruin's face, with a pair of deep, blood-red eyes, each as large as Ruin's head, glowing through the darkness and locked onto Ruin with the gaze of a predator...[/smear:5F6775F:2]

[smear:949494]In an instant, Ruin's mind, which normally did not assess escape routes, quickly drew up a series of situaitons for escape. However, it was at that moment when he realized something, a locking sound came from the entrance he used to get in here. As he quickly glanced up the way he came, a minor visual of a lock came up, shortly followed by a glowing light. It didn't take a genius to realize that his way was blocked. And of all the times too, he really only had one option, to stand his ground. The beast was slow in its movements as it appeared, but as soon as its eyes came upon Ruin, it was next to him in an instant. Its speed uncanny, strength immense, perhaps one of the few beings in the world more fitting to hold Ruin's name than himself.
Still, there existed little option for Ruin other than to simply stand before the beast. When it came down to it, it was still merely a beast, to show any weakness would be fatal. Ruin crossed his arms and looked directly into the glowing red eyes of the beast before him. Part of his mind told him to run, but the rest knew it would be pointless. Only those with the upper hand can run. Besides, where would he run to? Essentially trapped here, there was little for Ruin to do. So even as beast before him, born of bugfrags and chaos sat before him, merely inches from his face with the gaze of one about to take prey, Ruin stared back. Arms crossed, a darkness in his eyes deeper than that which surrounded the two. If Ruin's eyes could speak as they stared into the crimson abyss before him, they would speak two simple words, words of defiance to which he had shown all those before him.
"Try me."[/smear:000000:2]

[smear:005500]A fool's errand. Gospel rears back its head and roars, quaking the entire glitched network to its knees. The manifest power threatens what little stability that remains in the area, showing just how much power Gospel now wields. Dropping its head, Gospel simply opens its mouth as it looks to Ruin, causing a massive shock-wave to appear and rip through the darkloid's data, dealing significant damage as Gospel looks on, still not even truly lashing out yet. As the great beast reared its head, Ruin stood fast in his position. The roar shook the whole network, it seemed as if the area around him was going to simply fall apart. But this setting, this world, it was one Ruin was familiar with. A world much like one he might have a hand in creating, and to that degree, Ruin admired the beast before him. But they were still adversaries as it stood, and Ruin was at quite the disadvantage. The beast's outer hide seemed almost impenetrable, even to him, but perhaps there was still a way to bring the pain to this creature, risky as it might be.
[smear:949494]As Gospel's head dropped back into focus, Ruin dropped his stance and prepared for battle. He would have to bet on this gambit his entire being, but there wasn't much else to do after all. As the great beast opened its mouth to unleash the shockwave, Ruin took his chance. The shockwave shot forward, and Ruin brought up his hands to cover his face, taking the full force of the attack. Immense pain shot through his body, countless cuts appeared as the blast caused him to skid back from his footing, though he still stood. As blood formed on the various cuts and gashes about the edges of his body, it trickled down to the ground, but something was not quite right...
The blood, as it reached the ground, was turning quickly into a red mist. It would seem the battle would begin for Ruin here, but he would need to act quickly. Letting out his own roar, though not quite as powerful as the beast's, he acted fast and dashed forward with uncanny speed. The goal: Enter Gospel's body before it could recovery from its own attack. His own rage fueling him, Ruin rushed directly into the maw of the beast, leaving a trail of red mist in his wake.[/smear:af0101:2]

[smear:005500]As the red mist grew near to Gospel's gaping maw, the beast's head suddenly pixilates and shifts form. In an instant, the form of AirMan appears and catches Ruin's now non-ethereal form in a tornado, sending him flying. Next, he meets the form of Phenoix, who releases a beam of pure white energy onto the mist darkloid, and finally Turbine, who slams a corrupted version of Polaris into Ruin with an explosion of white flame.[/smear:5F6775F:2]

His forward momentum stopped, Ruin flew back from the force of Airman. That was one navi Ruin hoped never to have to fight, but it seemed that who came into contact with bugs that permeate the net could manifest in this creature. It was like fighting every navi in existence all at once... and what a rush it was! The raw power he was facing down was immense, and it served only to fuel his own fever for battle. Able to right himself as he flew back, Ruin brought his head up just in time to see the form of a winged navi he once met, with a beam of light erupting from its form. His body quickly turned immaterial, into a deep darkness that simply absorbed the flash of light from the winged navi's form. But it was as he returned to a material form and landed, skidding back, and met in his chest with a massive blade, white flames erupting from the wound. Ruin cried out in agony, but something was still off. These powers, these navis that were represented. Strong by all means, but something was off. They were... lacking, a certain quality... Empty.
And an empty strike would not deter the darkloid for long. Grabbing the blade in his hand, even as it was lodged in his chest with white flames erupting from it, his hand seared, but his grip was firm, crushing and cracking the imitation before finally shattering it in a single hand. Ruin formed a small chip in his hand and brought it up to his mouth before continuing his assault... He would have to keep up the pressure, and enter just before the next attack from the creature's mouth erupted. Biting down on the chip, his wounds began to close, the Dark Recovery always a great help in these situations. Long since had he mastered these chips to a certain degree, able to fend off their otherwise harmful effects, and it was times like these that it really paid off.
His wounds closing, Ruin began his assault once again on the beast before him. Standing on a walkway, it was already crumbling, unstable... Perfect for Ruin. Raising his leg, Ruin slammed his foot into the ground, causing a tremor which cracked through the platform and raised a large chunk of rock to rise up. A quick hop into the air followed by two kicks sent these chunks of debris flying at Gospel, with Ruin close behind. On his head, a scope could be seen if there were even those watching the fight unfold. Manifesting two chips that radiated darkness as well, Ruin crushed both in hand, throwing them into the air as they released their power. Seven blades, purple in color rose up high into the air, aiming their blades at Gospel before rocketing down towards him, aimed directly at his face, a number even into its red eyes. With his two hands outstreched, Ruin knew getting close at this point was a fools errand, so each one gathered a black energy which sparked with power, and with a jump past the beast's head, Ruin swung his arms outward, energy arcing outward from his hands and tearing through that in its path to Gospel, hindered by nothing.

[smear:005500]The attacks came, and one byone they fell into nothing in the face of Gospel. Even with Ruin's impressive power, he failed to scratch the bug-beast. Everything that he tried fell to nothing, and Gospel stands poised for the kill
...and then, the bug-beast stops. The pressure that had been rising since Ruin arrived suddenly peaks to a point where even Gospel notices. Stopping its attack, the bugbeast turns its head from Ruin and towards the shadows. Ruin and Gospel are not alone. Something now makes its way toward them, something with power even greater than the mighty Bug Beast itself.[/smear:5F6775F:2]

Ruin had been much too engrossed in his fight with the bugbeast to notice the rising pressure. Flying along the beast's side, Ruin soon came into contact with one such building that populated the bug city, though it was unstable, it could at least hold a lone navi. Grabbing onto the side Ruin quickly scaled the building, ready to continue the fight.
[smear:af0101]But as he reached the apex, hopping up to the flat top and looking at Gospel, the creature stopped. In an instant, what immense killing intent existed in the creature suddenly vanished. The fight had been put on hold, and Ruin found himself coming down from his fury. With wounds no longer bleeding, the red mist which rose off of him slowed before stopping completely, and Ruin lowered his guard, much like Gospel had done. As his senses returned to him, Ruin was able to realize the other great power, the one that had even the great bugbeast turning its head.
Something was here, making itself known... and it was powerful, even moreso than the titanic presence before Ruin.[/smear:949494:2]

From the shadows it rises; a force of absolute power, a heart-stopping presence of terror. Even Gospel steps back in the face of the presence; a presence that, even with its primal mind, it remembers very well. The shadows shift and a chill overtakes the entire city as the bugfrags actually begin to part in line with the direction that the power emanates from. And then, from the void of nothingness, he appears.
A Navi of average height and slim build. hovering just above the ground with his black boots hanging in the air, partly obscured by a tattered, brown cloak that covers the majority of this Navi's body. The most noticeable feature about this Navi is easily his trademark helmet, which consists primarily of a set of black and gold fins that flare out after meeting in the center of his forehead, just below across-shaped, dark blue jewel. Below this, a set of blood red eyes are framed by purple markings on his face that extend beyond the overhang of his helmet, disappearing behind a set of steel-tone disks that cover where his ears should be, a common feature among archaic Navi designs.
No mistake could be made; this being is the ultimate Navi, the force of absolute destruction. This Navi is the one known as Forte.
In silence, Forte hovers across the land that the bugfrags had departed from in his wake and stops directly in front of Gospel, staring the bug-beast down in silence as it growls under its breath at the ultimate being before it.

Bearing witness to two titanic powers facing off, Ruin felt something he had not felt before. A feeling of insignificance. It was a fleeting feeling, but for a moment he stood in a stupor of the raw power that they held. Such was a curse, to wield tremendous power yourself, you become much more aware of the powers others hold, it is much simpler to tell if you are outmatched. And between the two of these, that rang true more than ever. But still, something... Something about this new navi, the navi of such power clear to Ruin that it was beyond anything he had ever experienced. Greater than Terra, who tore asunder his body. Greater than Gospel, whom despite his best efforts, his strength paled in comparison to. And whats more, such an iconic appearance... As if Ruin had seen it somewhere before...
As Ruin stood, observing the confrontation of the bugbeast who feared this navi, his eyes widened with a realization. This navi, fins, jewel.... cloak... He had heard of this one. It was only supposed to be a myth, A navi with such power that even beings considered to be gods of the net would tremble before. This navi before him, Ruin only realized it now that perhaps... This was the genuine article. Forte.EXE, a remnant of an age long past with power seemingly limitless in its depth. Two things were always said when referring to Forte... His appearance, elevated to such a point where it has become a symbol. And his most powerful ability. Even amongst the great and raw power the navi possessed according to legends, one ability was always known... Get Ability. The absolute power to take from others what many strive for constantly. Their power and strength...
Atop the building that was his perch. Ruin stared at both the massive beast and the Living Myth. Unmoving, for what could he do in this situation?

Forte stares down Gospel for a time, the wolf-like bug beast still cowering as if before its angered master. An unholy meeting that had been in the past, and obviously was to be again...
Forte: As we once healed eachother's wounds, I reclaim your power to aid my goals.
Forte reaches a glowing hand out from his cloak and points the palm toward Gospel. The legendary multi-bug organism then drops its head before Forte, consigned to its fate. If by willing choice or by fear is impossible to tell.
Forte: Get ability.
Gospel's entire form breaks down, streaming into ribbons of data and flying to Forte's palm, where they enter his body. The process takes several minutes, and in that time Forte remains perfectly still. However, once it finishes, Forte hovers in silence, returning his hand to his cloak.
Forte GS: Weak one; I know where you are.
A hand drops from Forte's cloak, quickly forming into the unmistakable head of Gospel as Forte's eyes shift to Ruin's location.
Forte GS: Tell all what you've seen this day. My judgment is coming, and none who oppose me will survive.
Forte then reaches the form of gospel's head before himself and aims it upward. With a red flash, a fireball errupts from the bug-beast's mouth, flying forward and effortlessly piercing the barrier above with a cataclysmic explosion. Water begins rushing into the bug city as Forte looks on with an expressionless face. His eyes narrow and the pressure that his body exudes intensifies before he disappears into the shadows with yet another goal in mind.

The departure of Forte ends not the intensity of the air, the sheer... viscosity of it. As the water crashes down from the newly formed vacancy in the rapidly-deteriorating seal, the environ in its entirety becomes almost as thick as the water it will soon be submerged within.
...But even the crashing of the falling lake becomes silenced in fear of whatever presence has arrived...
And so Forte reappears in a flash, facing away from the remaining navi.
[smear:feb300]Forte(?): ...WHAT[/smear:fc1717] [smear:fc1717]DID HE SAY...?[/smear:feb300]
[smear:feb300]The voice pierces the new silence as both a single and a thousand needles,[/smear:fc1717][smear:fc1717] cutting directly through the ears of the only witness on every level of aural perception and suggesting the same feeling that would make most navis shiver.[/smear:feb300][smear:feb300] It cuts, with its startling efficiency and unnervingly mixed tones,[/smear:fc1717][smear:fc1717] straight through to him: To Ruin... for there is no question as to whom the figure was speaking,[/smear:feb300][smear:feb300] and there is no questioning the command in its timbre. [/smear:fc1717]
[smear:fc1717]The only differences it bears to the omnipowerful being that just left,[/smear:feb300][smear:fc1717] as it hovers with its back turned, are this voice and this pressure.[/smear:feb300][smear:feb300] How was such a contrast possible?[/smear:fc1717]

Ruin stood paralyzed. Such power, such overwhelming power. So the myths were true, that which he had seen had expunged all doubt from his mind. That was the navi of legend, Forte. The beast which he could do nothing against... defeated in an instant... Absorbed into the being of the cloaked being.
Firsthand had Ruin seen the power of Get Ability, Forte had simply grasped the power of Gospel and used it with such the ease someone might used a blade. As if second nature. The power that broke through such a powerful seal was immense, completely out of his league... But such power, to know it exists, what a feeling... What an incredibly invigorating feeling! But just like that... the legend itself disappeared, water from the lake above flooding in, engulfing the bug city itself... But even with both gospel and Forte now having left the area... the pressure still remained. Just as suddenly as he left, the navi of legend seemed to appear once more... Though... something was different.
[smear:949494]That difference was made clear instantly, as the returned navi spoke. But the words were completely unlike the living legend itself. This navi was not Forte, but the power was real... Different... But real. Its words would bore into Ruin's core, piercing his body with mere speech. Where the command of the one before was oppressive, this one was torturing. To hold witness to this much power... In such rapid succession... Was enough to drive Ruin over the edge. A whole other world was opening up before him, a whole other world of power to strive for.
"Keh... he..."[/smear:000000]
As Ruin went to answer, he was overwhelmed by a terrible laughter. A painful... Screeching laughter that tore through his body. He trembled... This fear... of this power... This power he had to have... this fear he had to control... Bend it to his will... It had been quite some time since he felt so ALIVE. As his laugh subsided, he took a deep breath to respond to the creature which floated before him, even as the lake drained into the city.
"He said... To pass along a message to all... Forte has returned and his judgment will be fierce. Those who oppose him will perish. But what are you? The one who takes on the form of Legend itself, who's words pierce to the core rather than oppress those below."

Iria [Continued from Netopian Lake Pg:9] Iria rode the free flowing water slide to a point before catching a piece of rubble and using it to kick off onto a small root top solid distance above the increasing water level. Before she could utter a word she felt a chill run up her spine causing her to convulse slightly. Brr.. she did manage to lock onto the floating figure of despair, however.

diving down as silently as he can, TornadoMan plants his feet at the bottom of the chasm and then takes a step back. This is a place where data goes to die, and death isn't in TornadoMan's plans. Not yet anyway. Avoiding walking entirely into the light, the wind Navi speaks with a hushed voice, never taking his eyes off the darkened visage before him.
TornadoMan: Iria; are you crazy?! That's Forte! He won't just delete us, he'll kill us!
