" ! "
Alerted by the sudden halt of the platform and the creepy laughter, Nymphra's eyes scanned the area to find the enemy.
"Incoming!"
One step ahead of the opponent. That was the most effective way of defeating it.
As ChaOS charged at MagnetMan, whom Nymphra was still standing directly behind, she jumped up and grabbed the two ends of the massive magnet that was his chest and shoulders. Leveraging all of her weight in such a way that would throw off Magnetman's center of balance, she sling-shot herself over his head while pushing down on him with enough force to send him falling on his back. It wasn't an ideal position for him to be found in, most likely, but certainly more ideal than his head acting as a sheathe for the black thing's weapon.
The spearhead found its place above MagnetMan's falling body and below Nymprha's airborne position with her post-leapfrog position: legs locked out in front of her and spread wide and both arms below her body as if she'd just slam-dunked her ally into the ground... and hopefully with enough to make his eyes close in reflex, since she was wearing a skirt.
"..."
The orb was swift. It moved on to a new target before Nymphra could size it up more effectively.
*WHOOSH*!
Without warning, it had charged at Havoc, presumably with the same intentions it had while charging at MagnetMan just seconds prior.
*TAP* *WHOOSH*!
The moment Nymphra touched down on the ground (her soles making the tapping noise as she landed), she darted off behind ChaOS, chasing it as it dashed around the area. With knife in hand, she kept as close as she could without being hit by Havoc's shots... but between all of them and ChaOS's quick-moving buckler, she was prevented from finding the chance to land a clean cut at the creature's blindside.
She kept closely behind it until she found the opportunity to strike at it, but was careful not to be caught off guard (incase it suddenly decided to turn around and target her next) in the meantime.

Following Magnetman's actions in mirrored unison, Excalibur leaped to the left, barely missing a deadly blow... Seeing the supposed 'orb' he sighted in and loaded a Stun Round in his rifle, and took a breath in...
"HERE COMES THE HAPPY PILL, FREAK!"'
The shot rang out, slamming the orb with radical power, but no damage seemed done, as the round exploded mere centimeters away from the target, unleashing a powerful blast of concussive energy...
"STUNNED 'EM, NOW SLAM 'EM IN THE BACK!"

The glow told Nidhiki everything he needed to know about what to do next. He leapt forward, away from Magnetman and the rapidly moving ChaOS.EXE. 'You heard the man,' he thought, attempting to analyze his target 'Give him some cover. Hell, give enough cover fire to cover for everyone else.' He couldn't pinpoint a weakspot though. Was it just less obvious?
He moved around the platform, away from Gravity Beetle, keeping ChaOS in sight at all times while trying to stay close to the center. 'He's too fast and dangerous to lose contact of. To do so could be fatal. At the same time, he looks fast enough to just knock us off the platform.' Although, he noticed, it didn't appear that the navi could fly, at least not at the moment. Meaning the same tactic could work on him.
'Everything I have. I need his attention.' Crimson energy began to smoke from his eyes, as a compartment opened up from his back. From within emerged 10 individual missiles, ready to be launched 'Let's see you ignore this.'
Two crackling, crimson beams emerged from his eyes, flying towards ChaOS, aimed right for the center of his chest/back. Following that was a barrage of missiles, launching from Nidhiki's back in a trail of smoke in unison, to circle around him and fly at ChaOS. 'Come on, I want you to do it. I want you to focus me. FOCUS ME! There's more of that to come if you don't.'

As the 'bomb' revealed its true form & made a mad-dash for Magnetman and Havoc (whom Glassman was standing between),Glassman narrowly dashed out of the way, stopping no less than a foot away from one of the platform's edges! With such a small platform, confronting such an enemy might prove to be tough, but together they could get it done...!
The plan seemed simple enough, stun the enemy and destroy it. But without any of them knowing this 'thing's' capabilities,it was hard to tell if such a plan would work.
Glassman steered clear of the others' attacks as best as he could, making sure to not crash into anyone else who was also on the move.
While still in motion,Glassman fired a blast of red energy at the laughing cretin, aiming at him from the side, keeping his distance in-case he accidentally grabbed its attention.

Standing so close to all the other Navis, Nicky felt completely naked in terms of defenses. Evan had always praised her for her ability to avoid enemy attacks, but in the heat of battle with many forces in play, attacks would be coming from every direction with no way to anticipate them. Her secret had always been her careful observation of her opponent and acting based on prediction, but there was no way she would be able to keep an eye on everything that was about to be thrown at them. For the first time, she felt a tinge of doubt. How could she protect anyone when she couldn’t feasibly protect herself? The carefully prepared movements that went into her Blade Dancing, were they fluid enough? The wind against her back that helped her move as nimbly as a falling leaf, was it strong enough? Her bright blue eyes that Evan relied on to get all of his tactical information, were they sharp enough?
From his seat, Evan watched Nicky’s resonation knife move ever so slightly as her confidence started to fade. Her posture became sloppier as GB continued to speak above the group. It was nothing like the Nicky FUTURE he had come to know.
“Hey, Nicky, what’s going on over there?” He was just as concerned as she was, if not more. After all, Nicky wasn’t the one who would have to live through the defeat. GB was making it absolutely clear that whatever personal reasons the Navis gathered had to fight for, they were trumped by the fact that this operation would decide the fate of countless lives. A flying Navi came down next to Nicky, and motioned her to use him as moving cover. Nicky faltered, and didn’t immediately address the generous ally. Instead, she turned to him and smiled meekly before walking around one of his legs. “Sorry Evan, I’m just a little overwhelmed right now.”
This made Evan nervous, too. The strength of their partnership was always their mutual trust. Nicky had never once doubted his ability to lead her to victory. It made him confident in himself, his decisions, and his tactical skill. His partner in life was standing before him, shuddering behind a giant four-legged Navi’s shadow.
“Don’t say that, Nicky.” He could feel his voice crack at the end of his statement. Emotions he never knew he had started to flood his consciousness. Evan gripped his P.E.T as if it was the rope that held him to the earth. “If you say things like that, I won’t be able to-“ The words stopped when a knot formed in Evan’s throat. Nicky, who was trying her best to stay calm as her allies approached the bomb in the center of the room, started to shudder. Her operator was in pain, and it was her fault.
“I’m sorry Evan- Don’t… I believe…” She started to apologize right as the situation took another dangerous turn. The bomb in the center of the room turned out to be a frightening enemy of gargantuan proportions. Evan clenched his teeth as a tear streamed down his cheek. Nicky would need him now more than ever. Whether he was good enough of an operator or not, he was the only one that could help Nicky at this very moment. The four-legged Navi sprang into action, Nicky’s source of cover, as did the other lightly armored Navi, leaving his partner jarred and exposed. She was clueless in the face of danger, with her feet planted firmly and her hands loose at her side.
“Charge forward!” Evan yelled into his P.E.T with all the conviction he could muster. He saw the opportunity as soon as the ranged Navis opened fire. The large opponent was right where they wanted him, face-first with some of the biggest Navis in the group, and the ninja-like Navi was already sprinting in to flank him. Nicky heard his determined yell, and all at once her fears receded as they had before. “This is your stage now, Nicky!” Nicky smiled.
“I wouldn’t want to disappoint my fans~”
The blond Diva threw herself forward with all her strength and broke into a sprint around the battlefield. Just like the girl across from her, she would be going to try and strike the opponent’s weak spot, his back. She started to observe him closely, drawing a bead on his abilities and strengths. She could see that this Navi had some tough armor, and that he was probably capable of taking a ton of punishment. The platform shook with every step that the enormous creature took, and the sounds of battle started to fill the tiny arena and shake everyone to their core.
From her point of advance, it looked like the ninja-like Navi was having trouble maneuvering into an advantageous position. Nicky was closing the distance fast, so Evan ordered Nicky to communicate with her and create an opportunity.
“Hey! You with the dagger!” Nicky slid into place and drew her resonation knife close to her body. “Looks like we’re going to be partners! My name’s Nicky-“ The massive Navi took another step forward, and almost shook her off her feet mid-sentence. “What’s yours?”

Nymphra ceased in her pursuit to size up the situation.
There was no bomb. There was no leaving the network. There was only an enemy of unknown caliber here to attack them.
Was it waiting? Or had they accidentally awakened it by tinkering with the "bomb"?
One thing was certain: they'd been sent here, then locked inside. So her initial assumption must have been true... she trusted a stranger and had been led into a trap.
"Biento."
Nymphra's words would have appeared to be a response to Nicky's question, but in reality she was naming the culprit of this scene (or who she'd accused of being the culprit).
She backed away from ChaOS... that wasn't the primary target anymore.
Her eyes scanned the small network for another way out, but they didn't find any.
So what was there to do now? Attack this creature, and hope that defeating it would unseal the lock that had been placed here? Or was there another solution she just wasn't seeing yet?

Nicky had never met this Navi before, so when she blurted out “Biento…”
“Alright Biento! I’ll go first, if I can’t get anything done, you can go in right after me!” Nicky’s energetic reply marked the beginning of her assault on this behemoth Navi. Under Evan’s command, she dropped down on the ground, and leapt into the air.
“I’m getting into a dance party move, what about you Evan?” With the full support of her operator, Nicky could draw her blade against even this imposing foe. Evan flicked through some options on the screen of his P.E.T, and nodded in agreement. “Blade Dancing it is!” He exclaimed, before tapping the attack and locking it in. Nicky’s resonation knife started to glow, and while missiles and beams closed in on the giant, she landed on the enemy’s huge back.
“Hyaaaa!”
Nicky’s battlecry was drowned out by the sounds of gunfire and cannons blazing, but the sounds of her resonation knife slicing through the air were not. She sliced at the Navi 3 times, gently at first, but more viciously as the attack continued. It was questionable whether or not the attacks had any effect, but she kicked off after her attack and attempted to land near her original launch site. Evan sat breathless in his study, curious to see if his bold move had produced any results.

The blob stayed still as it was stunned, but even so, it whipped the shield around as if it were nothing, it absorbing every missile, shot and slash aimed at the inky blob. It moved, again, this time floating in a strange parabola towards the centre pillar of viscous yellow data.
It found it's reward and empowered itself again, but this time it wouldn't go for a simple charge - no, ChaOS had a better deletion schema.
The being inside the shield shifted shape, no longer just an inky blob. It was now a smooth black mirror image of Nidhiki, scurrying on four legs. ChaOS dropped back onto the platform, exchanging mobility for pure violent power.
"HUEHUEHUEHUE"
Missles launched from the dark deceiver at full capacity, aimed at everyone and no one, a chaotic flight pattern forcing evasion as the blob changed back to its original form and began another charge, this time in Nicky's direction.
The long piercing end of his lance is the reward Nicky would find if she couldn't avoid the tackling charge.

Missiles shook the platform, threatening to break it apart with each violent collision.
"Destroy the pillar!"
-- or at least whatever produced it. That was what was empowering the black thing, right?
Whether or not blowing up the only thing that was presumably holding up this small platform was the last thing on her mind as Nymphra sought to evade the missiles shot at her.
"She dodged all of the missiles" would be such an understatement (and an unworthy description) of her feat, especially when considering that she had no extensive defensive measures like barriers or unbreakable shields, no mobility enhancing support through methods of flight, jets, or extra appendages, and no means to completely ignore the assault with teleportation, invisibility, or some sort of higher power altogether like telekinesis and time manipulation.
No, she was just a fast thinking and an even faster responder.
The first missile was fired; it's trajectory calculated and its destination determined long before it ever made it there.
The second missile: Fired. Trajectory: Calculated. Destination: Determined. Time of arrival and after effects were added into the equation as well. Even the explosive aftermath of each missile would harm her, and the shrapnel would too if she was anywhere in the vicinity of its endpoint.
Their impact with the platform would shake it, potentially throwing her off balance. She'd thought of this too, and properly prepared.
As the salvo of missiles flew up and rained down in realtime, her mind was processing so much information so quickly that it almost appeared in slow-motion to her. The scene had been played out in her mind so many times at such a faster pace that "realtime" was actually several paces slower than the speed of her forethought. She wasn't psychic; her mind just worked that absurdly quick.
One would have thought the missile trajectories were tracing a highlighted, predetermined route toward an "X" marked location on the ground as Nymphra reacted to them. Even as they rained down in the tens and hundreds simultaneously, seeming to blanket the entire platform and strike it all at once, she was still able to slip through the blast radiuses and reach a safe position that most people wouldn't be able to find in all of the chaos.
And then another idea came.
She had but a knife -- that wasn't the most capable weapon of destroying the central pillar.
But missiles were.
Jumping toward an oncoming missile, but still avoiding collision the rest, Nymphra lightly tapped the back end of it with her foot, changing its trajectory just barely enough that it'd fly toward the center pillar instead of into the ground and, potentially, one of the Navis.
She repeated as necessary until the barrage had finished.
"*pant* *pant* *pant*"
None of the missiles hit her -- but she didn't come out unscathed.
It'd taken a toll on her to move about so wildly without rest; she needed a moment to catch her breathe (albeit a much shorter moment than it would take most navis). As ChaOS struck at Nicky, Nymphra was unable to react.
Hopefully she'd either be able to evade the blow herself after all of that, or someone else would be able to intervene.

Excalibur, now changing course from evading missiles and narrowly escaping death by the buildup on his barrel, managed to make elaborate movements, even firing off a blast that knocked a missile clean out of the sky, as he soon moved towards Nicky...
SPLHGH!
The lance was taken for Nicky, trying to stop the blob short of the new navi... Impaling Excalibur right in the arm...
"Ah! Rhg... H-Hey... W-Why not... Pick on... Someb-b-body who'd... Actually... S-Stand... A B-Better... ch-chance?"
Excalibur, though wounded, pulled his rifle, shaking, and aimed point blank over the blob's guard...
"Seeya... L-Later..."
A shot was being built up, as the barrel of Excalibur's rifle began to heat to intense levels...
Then, as if a flare had gone off, a near blinding shot of super-heated plasma made to sear the blob was fired at point-blank, Excalibur only hoped for a clean hit...

'He... mimicked me?' Nidhiki observed as he moved, scurrying to avoid two missiles that flew by him. 'But how far does it go?' He wondered, 'Is it superficial, only able to mimic what he sees, or does he know exactly what each of us is capable of?'
No counterattack from him, not until he had a better understanding of what exactly they were facing and how it was learning their abilities exactly. Instead, he had to focus on making sure they didn't make a grave error.
Keeping an eye out for more flying missiles, he scurried over to GB, stopping near him. "I don't know if he's learning through sight, or if he scanned us when he came in, but you need to think about this now."
"If he is copying us, whatever you're about to do could backfire on us. Potentially fatally. I'm not saying you shouldn't go through with it, but if there's even a chance it may not work, you should reconsider."
He faced ChaOS once again, his eyes smoking with crimson energy... only to see Excalibur getting himself impaled on his spear and too close in firing range to risk the attack. 'darn it, I can't attack with him that close and able to be used as a human shield.'
For the moment, he kept his lasers ready, but held fire, unwillingly to risk an ally just for a shot that could potentially miss.

*As those around attempt to tell Gravity Beetle of the situation, the insectoid Navi shows no response. the missiles all slam into him, yet his flashing shell provides a state of semi-invulnerability that causes them to do nothing. With his muscles still strained, Gravity Beetle continues to focus his energy on the orb, which is now a size similar to its controller, and still growing with each passing second. As the golden Navi strains, his voice begins to resound out unconsciously under the strain that he now puts himself through. Every fiber of this Navi's being is now focused on his goal*
*The destroyer, still near the edge of the area, simply narrows his eyes and crosses his arms at the incoming barrage. Effortlessly, he kicks off and flips, landing his feet into the wall above the pit and anchoring himself there. Now horizontal, he turns his head toward the beast and watches in silence, unmoving the entire time*
*MagnetMan, on the other hand, finds himself in the barrage. barrier after barrier raises around him, and one by one they break. As the attacks stop, he gets away from the central pillar.... just in time for those in the area to attack it*
MagnetMan: Are you crazy?! If that pillar goes, so do we!

Glassman stayed alert as it seemed they'd finally get to bathe their enemy in unholy fire (and missiles and lasers and etc),but the monster merely deflected everything. Totally not a godmod enemy.
But as if its defensive power wasn't enough of a bother,Glassman was taken aback as the fighting black marble shapeshifted to look like and attack like a certain current ally.
Glassman held held one hand out in front of him as the barrier (that Magnetman summoned onto several of them earlier) took a few (try 3..?) missiles that exploded too close to Glassman's current spot, removing his barrier from existence.
Glassman glanced up at the yellow pillar of data thoughtfully amidst the chaos and dashed across the platform, stopping with his back to Magnetman.
"That thing acted a bit weird just now...maybe we could all nail it when it goes for the pillar again? Since paralysis doesn't seem to work." it seemed like a sound idea to Glassman, like setting a trap.

Only seconds after landing, the enemy Navi turned its attention to the vulnerable Nicky. It charged at her with the same spear it had charged at the others with, except that with Nicky’s diminutive stature, she wouldn’t be able to deflect a blow of that magnitude. No one could have expected that thing to move so quickly or resist damage so easily. Shots meant to paralyze it, deadly barrages of missiles and beams, none of these things seemed to be effective in the least. Such an overwhelming force was charging at the group’s least informed and least prepared member.
“Nicky, WATCH OUT-“ Evan said, before some unknown agent blocked off his view. Nicky turned her head for a moment, just in time to see Excalibur taking the gargantuan spear in the arm and knocking her away from the attack. She tumbled forward but rolled in order to keep her momentum, and then shot back up on her feet after attaining a safer distance. Excalibur was face to face with the enemy now, and was charging his cannon for a point-blank shot at it.
“Seeya.. L-Later”
Nicky looked on in horror while the act took place. If he hadn’t taken action so quickly, she may have been the one getting impaled right then.

The yellow pillar of data was busted, destroyed. The force of the electromagnetic radiation caused everyone to feeo the heat riasing as the raw energy of the network shot to a height, with any amount of kinetic force enough to implode the entire network. ChaOS reeled in horror as the his power was destroyed, his massive shield dossipating without a central pillar to support it.
Then the gear started to spin. The massove platform in the crowded empty space began to let itself go, falling faster and faster downwards spiralling all the while.
The black blorb was immediately weakened, but with the dizziness of the area could he really be destroyed? The blob rolled, trying to move away from the damaged navi on the floor, not enough damage done to delete Excalibur. Could it be caught?
