Ladies and gentlemen of the MMM...
There's a lot of work to do, and we plan to get it done in as timely a manner as possible. Because of this, the Staff Team has be re-organized in the way we've deemed most optimal for the task at hand.
We want help from everybody, so we're going to keep you (the members) regularly updated on the decisions that are made among the staff. These updates may come weekly, every few days, or possibly every day depending on how much progress is being made.
However, having too much input on a subject will slow down the progress, so the Staff Team has been assembled and composed of the people we require critical input from.
Note that these members are not chosen because they are more special, more capable, or more intelligent, but simply because they are most experienced with these matters and have shown past experience at making these kinds of decisions in a timely manner.
Because of this, their input will be what determines the decisions made among the staff.
You, as the members, have a more vital role to play. From you, we require Feedback.
Note the Input and Feedback are different from one another:
- Input is an opinion expressed about a decision before it is made.
- Feedback is an opinion expressed about a decision after is it made.
That said, Staff will gather input from each other quickly, and then update you with our decisions.
You then will be able to give us your feedback on those decisions, so that together we can make the MMM ideal for everybody.
Giving feedback doesn't not guarantee that it will be implemented, it only guarantees that it will be heard and taken into consideration.
If given enough feedback about a particular decision that was made, we will undo that decision to reflect the feedback that has been given in favor of the community's decision. You have just as much say in everything as we do - we're just expected to make quicker responses than you are.
To give you an idea of what's going on right now: We're beginning analysis of not just the Story Mode and Battle System, but of the entire site. Many changes have yet to be made, but before we can ask for your feedback on any of them, we have to decide what all it is that we plan on changing, where to start, and where we plan on taking things.
Over the course of the next couple of days, well begin making critical decisions regarding the MMM's future -- to speed up the process of doing so, we're keeping that conversation in the Staff Room. When decisions have been made, we'll present them to you so that you aren't left in the dark, and so that you can provide your opinion, concerns, and suggestions to optimize these decisions. This is done to ensure both speed and efficiency in the site's renewal, so we ask that you work with us to make that happen.
For the time being, Raven needs help finding some sprites. What for, you ask? Well, one cannot know for sure. Perhaps it is a surprise?
Regardless, if you have any talent in spriting or image-editing, please submit the requested items to him in that thread so that we can all see what the mystery is when he's done.
Additionally, Senka is hosting a tournament, and all of your old characters are still RP Approved. Now is the best time to join since there a few things to distract participants from its completion, so we encourage you to take this opportunity to get your RP muscles warmed up. You'll need them to be sharp for the relaunch of Story Mode, and this is quite the golden opportunity.
And lastly, please join the Welcome Back Party of the MMM! An RPG is all about character interaction, and what better way to do it (and what better time) than at the dawn of a new era? Join the activity in this thread as the world is reborn. The MMM was almost declared dead, but now it has return to life -- is this not worthy of celebration?
So until our next update, ready yourselves for a fresh wave of renewal and energy to wash over the site in the coming weeks, and please lend your aid in the most decisive moment of MMM to date.
We thank you for your patience and participation, and we look forward to bringing you 'Update 6.1' in the very near future.
