Challenger gives yet another wide grin at B.o.B's recommendation, and somehow it grows even wider still as Mirror agrees. For however long it may last, this would be fun!
Challenger: Sounds like a plan to me, boys! Let's have a good time of it!
...and then Kajira appears. Challenger's expression does not betray his thoughts, but something about this girl came off as immediately unsettling. Even in this short of a time, he could tell that she was hiding something, and he'd never liked games of proverbial "cloak and dagger". So much better to be above-board.
However, Challenger's gentlemanly nature shines through first and foremost. He nods to Kajira deeply into something of a quarter-bow.
Challenger: Evening, Miss. I'm Challenger, it seems that you're acquainted with Bobby, and Mirror can introduce himself, I'm sure.
As Challenger finishes, he pumps his fists within his gloves a few times almost subconsciously before presenting them palm-up to Kajira.
Challenger: Not to seem rude, miss, but you brought up a good point; these are interesting times. To that end, mind bringin' your hands forward so that we can see that ya' mean us no harm? No offense, but in this day and age, 'ya can't be too careful.

(ooc: I don't think kaijira ever actually learned b.o.b's name in our last encounter , but no matter)
B.o.B. was pleased to hear the others agreement with its suggestion, but that was short lived as she approached. A red ! displayed on its face plate, it was the female navi who had interrupted B.o.B.'s earlier fight, "Not her again...oh no...did she not like the mural?...is she angry?...rejected for a third time in the same day..." B.o.B. took a noticeable step back from her tensing up, allowing challenger to take the lead.

And then there was a giant, twenty foot statue behind them. There was no bright flash of light, or entrance of any kind. It was just there as if it had always been there, or somehow managed to appear there without anyone noticing until some kind of attention was brought to it. Golem had a way of getting around without so much as moving a muscle... err, did statues have those?
But unlike the other times it mysteriously moved from one place to the other, there was some kind of activity going on in it's eyes, which flickered from time to time. Golem also appeared to be emitting some kind of soft sound. What was it doing here? There was no right or specific answer to that question. Though it did not seem like it, Golem was... "bothered" by something. There had been a great disturbance in the net! And there had been an echo of this disturbance.

"So, any Idea how far the damage has spread?"
A blade wielding navi and his double were asking this of those they passed.
"This place seems virtually untouched. Was it just that one area?"

Mirror nods as Challenger introduces the group to the newcomer.
"Name's MirrorMan. Mirror is preferred."
Short and to the point, the gathering of navis in the area puts him on edge. Usually quiet and an observer around larger groups in the first place, the potential for these streets turning into a battlefield only add weight to his already heavy mind.

Kajira nodded in response to Challenger. "Your words ring true." She moved her hands out before her, holding them both up to show that she did not, in fact, mean any harm. "There was nothing intended, with that. Just the normal way I hold myself when not engaged in battle," she spoke, restricting the urge to once more replace them.
Her gaze flickered to B.o.B. as she saw the exclamation point, but she merely greeted him with a nod. She didn't speak, but her attention then came to the one who called himself Mirror. "Charmed," she spoke, giving a single inclination of her head. "I am Kajira. ONB liason, but technically unaffiliated," she continued, letting them know that she was at least on the 'good guys' team. B.o.B. might recall that she had stated she would arrest he or Antlion, and now he might realize that she had no authority to do so...

As Kajira shows her hands, Challenger returns her nod with a smile The boxer may have his suspicions, but she at least deserved the benefit of the doubt.
Challenger: Didn't intend to seem accusing, but can't be too careful these days.

B.o.B. was beginning to feel almost sick after the knowing nod the female navi gave B.o.B. "She is mad! I knew it...". Being int situations with too many people made B.o.B. uncomfortable and this situation was turning out as such. Taking another slight shuffle behind Challenger B.o.B. bumped up against something. When B.o.B. turned to look it saw a huge stone Goliath "What is this thing?...this definitely wasn't here a moment ago...right?" B.o.B: "Umm...big thing..." B.o.B. said aloud attempting to get the groups attention.

Gutts stowed himself away in Jin's blade as Jin approached the group.
"So, has anything happened around here? Something like, say, the area showing signs of falling apart?"
He wasn't sure how fast or how far the damage would spread, but he had to prepare the locals for that eventuality.
"I was in the Shell network earlier. Seems someone found the treasure of this net.....and activated the trap guarding it. Still, something else doesn't seem right. There's this evil energy that seems to permeate the net."
It was then that Jin came to a realization. He had faced powers like this before. Twice, to be exact.
"Not again........Listen, everyone, you have to evacuate the net. If my hunch is correct, then what I'm sensing is a being that will be nigh impossible to destroy. I've faced two of them before. Only reason I'm still alive is because my old operator had backup data."

Golem did nothing! It didn't even seem to be paying them any mind in the slightest bit, still humming softly as it's eyes flickered. WHAT WAS IT DOING? And then one of it's eyes looked down at BoB. HOLYCRAPITMOVED! So it had been listening after all. Golem said nothing, but the humming had stopped and it seemed to be paying attention to the conversation now at the very least. Impossible? This sounded absurd to the stone giant.

There was at once a flash of light, flickering blue across the entire network for just a brief moment. It was faint enough that if you blinked, you wouldn't notice it, but bright enough that looking in its direction was like seeing a laser pointer put into your eye for just an instant. Odd, but not entirely unusu-
KRAKOW!
A deafening noise, accompanied by a tremor across the network echoed out sharply from one direction. Any navi who quickly looked at the light when it appeared would see a spear of energy shooting from one of the higher points of the network, arcing down and smiting a large area beneath it. Looking at the crater it left, whatever was there seconds ago was now obliterated. It was truly frightening to see. Thankfully, it was aimed far away from any of the navis gathering down below him.
"Civilians, this was your warning shot. Leave this network immediately, for your safety. You will not get a second warning."
Heat hissed off of Longinus's cannon as he removed his helmet from the sight attached to his arm. The barrel was glowing red-hot, and the radiator fins behind him were releasing waves of heat. Beneath him, the thick spikes that stuck into the net had been dragged backward by about a foot after the shot, leaving small gashes in the network beneath him. While he was far and above the main area where most navis were, even at his vantage point is was clear that he could swivel and hit most of the network if he so chose.
He was starting at one end of the network, shouting the evacuation order, before pivoting slowly to shout it further, working his way toward the gathering of navis that was far below him.
"Evacuate now. You have 2 minutes."
The barrel was slowly cooling as he readied himself for the next shot.

As Jin yells out about evacuation, Challenger glances over, rolls his eyes, and returns his attetion to the Navis before him, not noticing the stone giant's movements.
Challenger: So, what's the plan? Do we want to just stand and talk, or figure out something to do?
...and then it came. The blast touching down in the center of the network. It was powerful enough to shake the ground, but challenger's footing remained. And to make things more interesting, the Navi responsible actually made his presence known. How convenient.
Challenger: Ooooh, and now I know something really fun to do.
Raising a glove to his new friends, the boxer Navi gives a wry smile and cracks his knuckles. Oh, this was going to be fun. Walking into the street, Challenger makes his presence very known as he strolls towards Longinus' perch, meeting eyes with the gun-wielding Navi as he does so.
Challenger: Two minutes, hmm? Shame.
Boldly, Challenger walks up to the tower where Longinus, roosts stopping a close by as his smile widens and darkens.
Challenger: Because you have thirty seconds before I roll back the barrel of your toy like a sardine can lid and put a fist-sized hole in your head. So do you want to come down and fight me like a man, or do I have to tear down your high ground with my bare hands?
Challenger cracks his knuckles once again, less out of need and more to punctuate his previous statement. He then plants a single fist into the structure that Longinus stands on, breaking through it like styrofoam to prove his point.

Longinus slowly turned his head to the other navi with an exceeding amount of apathy. He spoke normally now, his voice actually quite quiet when it wasn't amplified to address the entire area. Eerily enough, his cannon barrel was still slightly glowing as it continued to cool, the area around him still noticeably warmer.
"I'm hired to provide enough show of strength to clear out the entire area of weak civilian navis. That is what I am doing." He shrugged. "Are you a weak civilian navi? If not, don't worry and go about your business." He said dismissively, his voice carrying more boredom than intimidation now.
He then turned his head back to the sight on the cannon, the binoculars locking in place over his helmet, which had no visible eyes or visor, and plugging into the back of his head. A slight hissing noise came from the radiator fins on his back. He wasn't even still listening to the other navis as he planned his next shot.

It was just moments before Longinus' warning shot that Phenoix appeared in the network. A flash of light in the otherwise dimly lit network as the winged navi appeared, not to far off from the gathering of navis. It wasn't hard to tell in transit a group of notable navis gathered in one place. They weren't all incredibly strong, nothing like some of the others Phenoix happened to be familiar with, but they were notably stronger than most civilian navis.
As he began to turn toward the group, a large beam shot forth through the air... Unusual, to say the least, but in no time flat, one such navi of the group was already nearby the one who fired the shot. This game was not going well it seemed, or rather, it was going well. And such a situation was not what Phenoix wanted.
A beat of his wings took him airborne, flying up to the vantage point of the navi who fired it, with Challenger directly below him. It seemed another didn't take to kindly to this, but to avoid a conflict in this regard was Phenoix's goal.
"I highly suggest you stand down. Nothing good will come from such a pointless conflict. Especially with this infernal 'game' fueling everyone's bloodlust."
Phenoix looked down to Challenger, addressing him as well, though he spoke no words, just nodded his head to him, hoping to communicate a similar message to him. Though it seemed to fall on deaf ears as the navi crumbled he perch of the navi. Indeed some impressive power, but at least it wasn't directed at anyone, just a building it seemed.

Challenger's smile grows wider at Longinus' words. Oh, this was going to be fun indeed.
Challenger: Anything but weak, lad. A few 'o these Navis' are friends 'o mine, so I hope you're ready to do more than spout hot air!
...and then Phenoix made the scene. This.... this was becoming annoying. Forget the gunner, this self-righteous poser was the center of Challenger's attention now
Challenger: Woah now, son. Th' lad threatens my friends, and you tell me to calm down? Well then, ya'd better be willing to make me. Because from where I'm standin', you're lookin' for as much of a beatin' as the boy, birdy.
