" Who's hiding?"
Back to back with Jinko, the Remnant stood with his head tilted down and arms crossed. As always, his voice could faintly be heard -- almost lower than a whisper -- and darkness was emitted off of him like an aura of smoke. Unlike before, though, the Remnant did not capture Jinko in its own world of darkness. Rather, it stood there, as if waiting to know something.
"So... What'd you call me here for? Weren't satisfied with our last encounter?"

"Well, there's that, and..."
Jinko dew his blade from the cover he had strapped across his back. His eyes had turned black and everything else about him became darker.
"...It's just way too fun fighting you."
Even his voice had changed, it had a somewhat higher pitch than before. Jinko raised his blade above him as he charged it with darkness.
"We will not be defeated here."
Jinko struck downward with everything he had, releasing a wave of darkness as he did so.
"It would seem that you have changed somewhat since our last encounter."
While Remnant was either recovering from or evading his last attack, Jinko made his move. He knocked his opponent into the air.
"I'm not the same as before either."
Jinko split his blade into 8 pieces and jumped up to the closest one, then dashed to each other part, slashng at Remnant with each dash.
"Well, what do you think of my...improvements?"
Jinko struck downward, his blade finally pieced back together, landed, and jumped back. (1/5)

" Hmph..."
The Remnant grinned at Jinko's question, before responding.
" ... Cute."
The wave of darkness struck at Remnant powerfully, but he stood his ground as he prepared for the next attack. He'd seen this one plenty of times before, so he was quite ready for it.
" 'Not the same as before', you say..."
The Remnant obviously had something in mind. As Jinko knocked him into the air and came at him with the first dash, a sword of shadows materialized in the Remnant's hand as he clashed blades with Jinko -- the force of the collision enough to stagger his opposition.
"... Yet your attack pattern is no different."
Immediately after blocking the blow, The Remnant dashed behind Jinko to grab one of the 7 remaining pieces of his sword. Mimicking Jinko's technique, he turned around to dash through his enemy while reaching for the next piece of Jinko's sword.
" Allow me to show you..."
Rather than dashing at Jinko a second time, the Remnant pulled a new maneuver on him. Sliding in a clock-wise fashion while midair along the radius of the circle of blades, the Remnant collected the other five pieces and connected them to the two he had already grabbed.
"Variety."
Now behind Jinko, the Remnant used his own sword to slash at Jinko up higher into the air, followed by hurling Jinko's weapon blade-long at him as he made his own decent back to the ground.
"Now what else is 'new'?"

"Yeah, yeah..."
Jinko saw this coming, as he had implemented this stratedgy before against Remnant and knew he wasn't dumb. Jinko blocked with the blade he held and fired his gun directly at remnants sword hand. He then caught his own blade which had been hurled at him and snapped it into place, the rest of the blades rained down and created somewhat of a cage.
"I knew you would do that, because I respect your knowledge."
Jinko then did Remnant might not expect. He punched at what seemed like the air, but it was enough force to knock remnant back.
"Now, aside from that, i have made some other modifications."
Jinko then rushed behind Remnant with incredible speed and struck down with his sword, giving it all his strength.
"Now, where were we?" (2/5)

Surprising. Jinko's foresight was commendable for being able to predict that -- the crushing blows caused the Remnant to stagger tremendously, but yet again it regained it's composure for a counter-attack.
" Ah... it seems as though you have gotten better..."
As the Remnant spoke, dark energy gathered together on the ground at Jinko's feet, and similar dark energy was being gathered into both of the Remnant's palms.
"... But will it be enough?"
As soon as the words left its mouth, the beam underneath Jinko shot upward and spread wide. The Remnant delayed a second before releasing the dark beam from his palms, so that if Jinko avoided the last attack, he could catch him off-guard with another strike immediately followed.

Jinko noticed the beam shooting from below him, and reflexively jumped back, he moved to the left when he noticed the second beam, but his hand was caught in it. Jinko was feeling an excruciating pain in his right hand, but he couldn't let Remnant know that.
"Well, it would seem that i need to improve my speed."
Jinko rubbed the rabbit's foot that he had taken to carrying. His speed immediately improved.
"Now tell me if you can predict this!"
Jinko rushed toward Remnant slashing three times with his sword. He then noticed that his sword had gotten warmer after his hand was damaged. Having picked up the other pieces of it before and piecing his sword back together, he launched another attack.
"This is going to be alot easier now."
Jinko knocked Remnant into the air once more spliting it into 8 pieces.
"Try not to lose focus."
Jinko jumped to the first piece, and pushed himself toward Remnant but then moved to the third piece instead of the second. He then made the same maneuver moving to the 6th piece, then the eighth, second, fifth, seventh, and fourth pieces. Then when he had the sword fully assembled, he appeared above Remnant.
"Did you miss me?"
He charged his blade with a dark energy and, with a distinct flare in his eye, struck downward with all his might.
"Now, try to tell me you expected that."
Jinko was starting to feel the pain in his hand flare up again. (3/5)

"Pfft..."
The three opening strikes were new, but Remnant's sword skill was just enough to keep on par with Jinko's, blocking each strike successfully. The power behind each of Jinko's hits were enough to shatter Remnant's shadow-composed sword, though. But it wasn't like he couldn't just create a new one on the fly.
Jinko managed to knock Remnant up in the air... again. Jinko was using his familiar attack, just in a different sequence than usual.
"... Not exactly what I meant by 'variety'."
The instant Remnant was knocked into the air, energy began to gather on the ground again... except now, it was directly below Remnant. The diameter of the charging beam would easily engulf Remnant, Jinko, and all eight sword fragments, but instead of discharging the beam right then, Remnant decided to let it kept charging, as he narrowly avoided most of the dashing strikes Jinko had yet again come at him with.
Some strikes managed to get through, ofcourse, but they didn't at all hinder the Remnant's plan.
" No.... ofcourse I didn't..."
The cocky sarcasm in Remnant's voice was almost rude, but in due time he'd show his justifiable excuse for responding in such a manner. The dark energy was pulse underneath the surface of the ground by the time Jinko appeared above Remnant. As he came down to deal his usual finishing crush, the energy burst forth like a geyser from the floor -- the beam widening and thickening, easily able to engulf both the Remnant and Jinko, just before Jinko's sword connected.
The blast would've knocked the sword away from the Remnant, and his own attack couldn't hurt him, so Remnant remained rather unharmed by the end of it all. He slowly floated down to the ground, as the beam finally faded away after having enlightened the whole area for a good five to ten seconds.
"... Don't disappoint next time."

Just as Jinko was striking downward with his Sword, now engulfed in pure darkness, he shouted the words...
"DARK BLADE!"
This new twist on his usual attack is what prevented him from being completely engulfed in the blast. A wave of darkness burst forth from his sword and appeared to make contact with Remnant's head, as well as force the attack to the sides. His left leg, however, was caught in the beam.
"darn, this isn't good. Too much more of this and I'll be deleted."
Jinko had to do something fast if he wanted to stay alive. Jinko then tried something unusual. He struck Remnant three more times, and again delivered a crushing blow from behind.
"That good enough for ya?" (4/5)

" Bleh."
Remnant sank into the ground as Jinko approached him -- his attacks virtually pointless if they were made at all. Then, originating from Jinko's shadow, Remnant came dashing out of the ground with a spear kick to the other side of Jinko, before disappearing again and repeating a few times. After the left kick, Jinko's own shadow stood up and stabbed at him with the silhouette of his own sword while Remnant struck from the opposite side with another sword formed of shadows.
"... Less disappointing, I'll give you that."

Jinko couldn't believe what was happening to him. His own shadow had just stabbed him.
"D-Damnit...w-what did you just..."
Jinko caughed up bits of data as he prepared to make his final assault. He recovered enough to stop the coughing, but there was no denying that he had taken severe damage.
"I will make you pay for this humiliation."
Jinko could no-longer contain his anger, He used every attack in His arsenal. First, he Slashed at Remnant three times before appearing behind him and dealing what would have been a crushing blow, he then hit Remnant over the head with his gun and knocked him into the air, almost doubling his speed. He broke his blade apart and slashed at Remnant in a random order before ppearing above him and making a final downward strike.
"This...am I really this weak?" (5/5)

The sword strikes managed to hit the Remnant for the most part, but he persisted, despite the sharp pain he felt throughout his body. He side-stepped the crushing blow from behind, since it was kind of sequential to what Jinko had done before. The pistol butt was new, but Remnant avoided by jumping high -- so he wasn't set in the air for Jinko's overly used finishing move by Jinko's attack, but he was up there nonetheless.
" Let's make this... interesting... shall we?"
Jinko's order of strikes this time was random and unpredictable as usual, but the Remnant's reflexes were enough to be able to keep up, possibly. As Jinko reached for his first blade, Remnant reached for the opposite blade. While Jinko dashed at Remnant, the Remnant dashed straight back -- the two of them colliding weapons each time they repeated this in the air, for all eight swords.
At the end of the pre-finishing blow, Remnant was below Jinko, who was coming down from above with his final slash. Jumping up with the same momentum that Jinko was descending with, the Remnant clashed blades one more time with his enemy, putting all of his own strength into the blow, as he knew Jinko would be doing the same.
The conclusion of that strike could ultimately determine the victory... The two enemies had matched each other hit-for-hit in the last seconds of battle, but only he who's speed was truly superior would walk away from this match.
After the collision, Remnant continued his ascent while Jinko touched down on the ground. One, or both, of them were surely cut in half from that last move... As for which one it was, they would find out shortly...
(5/5) ((... So now we're waiting on a judge?))

Jinko:
Style: 20/30: You’re developing without a doubt. I’m seeing some massive improvements over last time, but your RP style is still a bit disjointed. The flow of your attacks is a bit blocky and awkward for the most part, but you’re coming along quite well!
Articulation: 13/20: You’ve expounded quite a bit and you’re giving us a lot more to go by, but maybe describe your attacks and how they work with a bit more detail.
Balance: 19/20: You did a fine job this time. You took hits well and dished it back out. No issues here.
Length: 8/10: Bit short still, but expounding on your RP a little more should fix this.
Emotion: 7/10: You’re conveying Jinko’s thoughts and emotions far better.
Judge: 6/10: Shared grade based on how well you play off one-another. It felt a bit too much like a game of “I trump you, you trump me, I trump you, you trump me and so-on”, which made it a little monotonous/predictable after a while.
Total: 73/100, B Rank
Remnant:
Style: 23/30: You kept up a good flow and feel for the most part, but at times your exact actions and how they related to Jinko seemed a little ambiguous to me.
Artic: 15/20: I couldn’t really visualize some of Remnant’s exact movements for some reason. It wasn’t a bad job, but it felt like you could have gone into more detail.
Balance: 18/20: It felt like Remnant over-powered Jinko a bit too much, mainly by a general lack of conveying damage taken.
Length: 10/10: Nailed it.
Emotion: 9/10: Based on who Remnant is, I’d say you played emotion well.
Judge: 6/10: Shared grade based on how well you play off one-another. It felt a bit too much like a game of “I trump you, you trump me, I trump you, you trump me and so-on”, which made it a little monotonous/predictable after a while.
Total: 85/100, A Rank
Remnant takes this fight. Very good job gentlemen, and I'm very sorry it's taken so long to get this posted.
