Type: Single-Judge (requesting) Posts: 1 intro post each, 4 battle posts each Story Version: Off Version Bonus Points: Off Version Match: Matched at v11 Setting: A stormy beach... similar to, but not the beach of Pride Park, where Warrior and Sheep's first encounter took place. The atmosphere of the area does indeed bring back memories of that moment, though...

Well this is odd. The scenario is very similar to when we first met indeed... It looks like I've met up with an old Frenemy, one who I'll never let get away. Not this time.
Sheep: Warrior! I challenge you to a battle!
I formed the only weapon I had, my luxurious fur, into a sharp sword. And pointed it at Warrior who was close, but still a distance away...
Sheep: For Embera's heart!
((Return of First Person Sheep? No way? Totally unintentional, but I ended up getting into that mode lol))

((Nice xD))
Warrior had been on the beach, staring at the waves. It calmed his mind -- he'd been attracted to anything that could quell his aching mind, lately. A strangely high pitched voice broke his concentration as Sheep called his name. He turned around, noticing floating blob of fur holding up a sword to him.
" ... And what makes you think that winning this fight will win her heart?"
Warrior's daggers appeared in his hands in a flash of light. His facial expression unchanged, though he slightly cocked his head to the side a he continued.
" A heart is not something I would gamble away -- even if I do have an absolute chance of victory."
The daggers' shape shifted into handguns. The blade inclining in on itself as several other gears at the handle of the daggers shifted and rearranged themselves until the transformation was complete. Warrior held one gun up, aimed at Sheep, as he finished what he had to say.
" But I will fight you. Not for her heart, though. Only to quell your ambition for the time being."

As the cocky little Warrior cocked his head to the side, I prepared an assault, stuffing my head into a ball of fur and creating three others like it, making me hidden from view. I couldn't help but be perplexed at his implied love of Embera. He wasn't emotionless? It was odd. The way he acted was as if nothing mattered to him. Like he was apathetic and uncaring. Apparently not.
Sheep: Wouldn't want anyone getting hurt, would we?
Giving Warrior the benefit of the doubt, I peeked out my head, created a healing blanket and equipped it onto him. This should make the battle more interesting... I let my sword loose on him as the four puffballs scattered about.
The sword itself made a broad horizontal slash, then followed up with several short stabs to keep Warrior on his toes.

Warrior grinned at the sheep's comment. "Then you should've stayed home."
The blanket that suddenly covered him was enough to distract Warrior's attention for a second. This was... an attack? It felt more like it added to Warrior's strength, rather than taking away from it. If that was the case, then, there was no point in removing it. When Warrior returned his attention to the battle, that sheep had summoned several other puffballs looking quite similar to it.
He hadn't seen which was the original, and wasn't exactly observant enough to spot the differences between the fast-moving, fluffy... 'things'. Before he had too much time to pick a target, a sword came flying at him, slashing on it's own. It was easy enough to dodge, until the sword began stabbing at him continuously. But with a quick pivot around to the other side of the blade, Warrior found it easier just to grab the hilt of the weapon. There was no way of the edge reaching him now -- it seemed.
Satisfied with that maneuver, Warrior hadn't noticed the gun he had dropped in order to gain a free hand, but it didn't seem to matter at the moment. Still holding on to the sword, he raised the gun in his other hand and fired it at one of the puffballs several times.
" This is... almost painful..."
Sarcasm ofcourse. If he could verbally crush his enemy's will, this battle would be in his control. The same would result if Sheep surrendered control of his anger to Warrior's verbal abuse -- this being only the beginning.

As it so happens, the whole cloud division thing didn't really work. It seems warrior is a swift shot with a keen eye, and shot right in the cloud in which I was hiding. I narrowly managed to avoid the bullets, but my fur was pierced and my hiding spot was revealed. I quickly made the decision to sweep down, reclaim my cloud-like fur, and return to my standard state.
Sheep: If it's painful then you aren't using the blanket right!
I blew a raspberry at him then hid in my fur once again. I separated into four pieces and left behind a soldier a head shorter then Warrior.
Sheep: Homuncloud!
I shaped the Homuncloud as to give it two sharp boomerangs, which were launched off one then the other at Warrior, hoping the two angles coming at him would catch him off guard, and a sharp scorpion's tail, incase Warrior got too close for comfort-- a distance which I will not let Warrior get to Embera. Now, here's the kicker, Warrior probably thinks I'm in a puffball above, but I'm really hiding inside the very homuncloud.

"...Incoming."
Warrior braced himself for the two boomerangs -- the first one knocked his arms away, which were covering his head prior to that -- and the second struck him in the face almost immediately after. A little dazed from the blow, Warrior's grip on the sword slipped as it fell to the ground. This sheep didn't dish out very many attacks, but they were quite accurate, to say the least.
The Sheep's hint proved handy, though. The blanket covering Warrior took the pain away almost instantly. For his retaliation, Warrior decided not to make a flurry of quick attacks, as he was prone to doing -- but rather, he'd charge up for one powerful, wide-aimed strike. Difficult to avoid and difficult to survive. That always seemed like a nice combo.
Warrior's body coursed with electricity as he charged energy into his left palm. Seconds later, he released a blast straight up into the sky, tearing through the puffball above him, and sending back down a massive lightning storm that struck the entire beach. Warrior was in the center of the myriad of bolts, and they flooded the shore entirely for about seven full seconds, before subsiding.
Warrior took off the blanket, and held it up, waving it, as if trying to get Sheep's attention, wherever he was. " Do you want this back? I think you're gunna need it more than me..."

As the two boomerangs returned to my position, I noticed that Warrior had shot a bolt of lightning into the sky, thinking nothing of it. I sent my boomerangs a'flying when. . . 'ZaZaP' A huge rain of lightning shocked the entire area. The puffballs were destroyed, but by some miracle, the homuncloud was untouched. As a kind gesture, I replace the head of my homuncloud with my own, revealing to Warrior where I was, and that I meant no harm. I approached him, jokingly, and accepted his offer of the blanket. . .
Then a final 'ZazaZaZZZZXyzillientZap!' could be heard, and where I was standing I was struck.
Sheep: Ow...
My fur had been completely destroyed. Although it regenerated, it did so at a slow pace, effectively making me into a tiny defenseless adorable little ball. Using what resources I had left, I bounced up and bit this Dark Romantic.
To my surprise, his data turned into a dark grey cloud, not dissimilar to my own.
Sheep: Well, this is odd.
Turns out I was 1/255 vampire. Not making this up. Although I've tried corrupting data like this after the fact, the ability seems to only work on Warrior, and only temporarily. Anyway. . .
I saw my opportunity and without hesitance, I leaped into his now cloud-like body and absorbed it as if it were my own fur. I managed to get a fair sum before I left at the other side, and decided to play Warrior's own game.
Sheep: Two can play that game! Go! Precision Satellite Sheep Strike!
I rose to a high vantage point, before shooting a large amount of small fur bullets in a Gatling gun like fashion, but leaving enough so I could still float around.
Sheep: Still think you don't need this? I waved the healing blanket around in my mouth, before dematerializing it completely.

"Ngh!"
Warrior grunted ever so slightly as the Sheep bit him. Of all the things he didn't expect... And on top of that, he turned into a gray cloud. His eyes immediately shot to the top of his head. Thank goodness. His hair was still normal. Infact, Warrior's full head was perfectly the same -- but neck down, he was just a floating cloud of gray fluff.
"Hmph..."
No hands... No legs... and no weapons. Warrior heard gunfire from above. Taking evasive maneuvers, he leaned forward, barely moving out of the way. Unfortunately, he couldn't think of many ways to get himself out of this.. 'predicament'. And his new form was quite embarrassing, to say the least.
" Alright, guy. Turn me back to normal. What do I have to do for you to fix this?"
No way to attack meant no way to fight. No way to fight meant no way to win. Warrior was out of options, it seemed.

Sheep: I'm not really sure. . . I have no idea why you are in that state or how to fix it. . .
This was really odd. I had never seen anything like this before. It was a little odd, and I'd hate to take advantage of the poor guy. Y'know, he is kind of adorable when hes annoyed.
Sheep: Maybe we should call it a match 'till the effects wear off Warrior?
It was the strangest thing that had ever happened, really kind of amazing, in a bizarre way. I floated down to his level, and waited for a reply (4/4)

Warrior huffed. He appreciated the grace, although he didn't show it. Nor did he deserve it.
"... Fair enough"
Warrior wobbled away, hoping it wouldn't last too long. This was definitely not the way he wanted Embera to see him, so he'd have to avoid her for a while, until he got this fixed. That cursed Sheep's bite had gotten the best of his viral-immune system.
Rest assured... thing's would go much differently, the next time they encountered.
... It wasn't until Warrior's was miles away that he noticed he had forgotten his weapons back on the beach. "Aww, now I gotta go back!!! Curse you, Sheep!"

Okay... I'm not terribly sure how seriously I'm supposed to take any of this, but here goes nothing.
Style: I've seen much worse on both counts. Obviously there was a lot of humor present, and some of the writing style reflected and enhanced that, which was nice. The comical asides - especially the bit about vampirism - were amusing but also distracted a bit from the flow of battle. Still, since this was clearly intentional, I'm not taking too much off for that. All the posts were readable, although each of you had your fair share of grammar issues (let me know if you want specifics). Overall, both of you did a decent job, but nothing was terribly impressive or stood out much. I found Warrior's writing to be a bit more streamlined - the novelistic format helped in this regard when compared to Encore's separated dialogue - but it wasn't a huge difference.
Sheep: 19 / 30 Warrior: 20 / 30
Articulation: Neither of you put too much descriptive effort into your writing here, but I was rarely if ever confused as to what you were talking about. Once again, Warrior showed a bit more skill here, but it was still a slight difference at most.
Sheep: 12 / 20 Warrior: 13 / 20
Balance: And here's what's probably the biggest tipping point. Warrior was careful to avoid making posts explicitly stating the success of his attacks, having apparently learned from his battle against Omega. He used powerful techniques, but they were well within the version's capacity and never approached godmodding. He gets a high score here. However, Encore, your third battle post was a perfect example of powerplaying - before giving Warrior any chance to react, you decided for him that your own attack was not only successful in hitting its target, but carried an effect that doesn't exist even in your own character profile. I can't deny that it was amusing, but it's also completely out of bounds and impermissible in moderated, rules-based RP.
Sheep: 5 / 20 Warrior: 20 / 20
Length: You both did fairly well here. You kept true to your instincts and didn't artificially inflate post size with useless material, allowing the length of each to vary as necessary. There were a few place where I think each of you could have elaborated more - especially Sheep's intro - but nothing here was offensively bad.
Sheep: 6 / 10 Warrior: 7 / 10
Emotion: Once again, pretty good job to you both. It was smart and entertaining to pick an emotional motivation - Embera's love - for the battle. There wasn't much subtlety, but I assume that was intentional and used to add to the comedic effect. I feel like I got a decent sense of each character, although it was far from a deep probe into their souls. You also played off of each other quite well, which was fun to read. That said, Warrior has the edge here, too - he spent a bit more time and effort giving the reader insight into his character's mind.
Sheep: 6 / 10 Warrior: 7 /10
Judge Points: These are an average of your previous scores.
Sheep: 5 /10 Warrior: 7 /10
Final Scores: Sheep: 53 / 100 (C-Rank) Warrior: 74 / 100 (B-Rank)
Rewards: 45 EXP / 450z for Sheep (includes Resource bonus) 65 EXP / 650z for Warrior
