Once, this was the central network of the Creamland mainframe; a massive, sprawling network designed as a medieval area combined with futuristic adaptions. Store-fronts are built into large towers, with railways, ramps, teleporters and elevators leading to multiple stories, similar to an outside mall. Now Samhain's curse has corrupted the area into a hellish maze of run-down buildings and winding cobblestone streets. The rail tracks are twisted, bent, and broken, the teleporters offline. The once-clean walls are coated in thick layers of muck, grime, and blood. And the bustling populace of navis has been replaced by the interdimensional colonists, dark, demonic navi-like creatures that have taken the city as their own. They are civilized, to a degree, but far less inviting and more brutal than the previous residents...

Soaring over the expanse of the Castle Network, Nightwind spotted forms moving along on the ground - demon soldiers, of mid and higher levels. Three of the demons had six horns, forming a circle on their bald heads. The other six had three horns, like the stronger ones from Pride Park. Thinking quickly, he motioned to the demons, using a series of hand signals to direct them towards the castle entrance. It could only help if the heroes could be forced inside. Obeying, the demons scurried off toward the castle. Nightwind soared on higher, above the looming dark stormclouds, in order to avoid detection as he continued to fly toward his destination.

Glassman gritted his teeth as he dashed forward into the area.
"Geesh...one moment I'm saying how we need to advance, then the next I'm the one who's behind...!" he muttered to himself.
Without hesitation,Glassman rushed ahead toward the Outpost, where he hoped others had already arrived...

[Retroactive]
Arriving here thanks to the portal, Zane looked around. Obviously things had changed a lot thanks to this Samhain character and his legion of fiendish forces. Considering his options his next choice of location was to the Tempest nearby.

Xyzillentz ran into the Castle Network, but slowed his pace after he was a ways in. The heroes probably weren't going anywhere, after all. And besides, he liked the look of this place. If the forces of darkness won, he could certainly see himself spending a lot of time here. Perhaps he'd build a nice vacation home, or another branch of the bar he'd been planning in Element City. "The skulls are a nice touch." He spoke to himself a bit as he wandered through the city, occasionally running across a demon or two. Most ignored him, a few took interest but watched from afar, and some approached him menacingly but backed off when he gave them an evil grin or a sly wink, or flashed his fangs.
Those were all low-level, hornless grunts. Once he got closer to the castle, a lone demon approached him with three protrusions jutting out of his head. It walked over apprehensively, pointing a clawed finger at Xyzillentz. "What side you fight on? Me side? They side?"
Xyzillentz couldn't resist the obvious pun. "My my, someone's quite horny..." He shimmied over seductively, smiling all the way. "And I bet you can do all kinds of interesting things with those extra appendages, can't you?"
Confused, the demon stuttered as he replied to the darkloid that was now wrapping its arms around his hideous form. "M - me - yes. C-can do many things. Many ways to kill. Here to kill the rebels? You like kill?"
Xyzillentz nodded, his tongue flickering out of his mouth as he ran a finger down the demon's back. "Oh, yes. There are many things I love - killing is one of them. Unfortunately..." He turned his scaly head sideways as the tone of his voice turned dark. "...you are not."
He sank his fangs into the neck of the demon, drinking his data like a voracious vampire. Simultaneously, his tongue extended - growing longer and longer, wrapping itself around all the demon's limbs, constricting his torso, and finally slithering its way up to his head, covering it like a mummy's wrappings. Xyzillentz tensed his tongue, pulling the shocked and weakened demon to the ground and binding him tightly, immobilizing him. Green, venomous goop began leaking from the tiny glands all along the tongue, soaking into the demon's bare skin and shutting him down. Xyzillentz listened to the evil creature's moans of pain and shock in ecstasy, delighting in their delicate nature as they began to fade, sounding more distant, more faint, more helpless...
It sent shivers up his spine. The pleasant kind - the rush he lived for. That was what he'd been missing. Feeling the being give in, the serpentine singer released his prey from his tongue and fangs, allowing the demon's body to sag, its red eyes staring back up, dim with the signs of weak life and broken will. Its tormentor licked his lips and let out a refreshed sigh.
"Of course, there are things I like more than killing, too... a little torture is soup for the sinner's soul." He knelt down and whispered into the demon's ear, his hot breath blowing over the fallen form as the green stripes on the back of his suit began to glow. "So tell me, my wretched little plaything... how do you feel about whips?"

Namkcab, too, was behind with Glassman. As the jeweled one dashed off, he quickly surfed along, catching up with him and the others.

Flying high up in the air, an unconscious Wave still clutched in his arms, Nightwind could see the battle raging at the Outpost. It appeared his troops had failed to keep their enemies confined to the tower as he had instructed - how terribly disappointing. He also knew that, were he to deliver Wave there now, he would be swiftly destroyed and of no use to his master.
The horse warrior happened to turn his gaze downward, where he saw one of his recruits - the one called Zeyetix, if he remembered correctly - in battle with someone. Perhaps "battle" was the wrong word, actually - his opponent, a demon, was on the ground whimpering. One of its legs had been severed and was now dangling from a twisted tree branch nearby. Its face was currently being melted away by some green mist coming out of the snake's mouth.
Nightwind swooped down and landed gracefully next to Xyzillentz. "Just what are you doing?" There was a gruff tone of anger in his voice and a threatening snarl on his face. He did not take kindly to the destruction of his troops, especially not by those who were supposed to be in his service.
Xyzillentz turned to face Nightwind. He did his best to appease him, aware of his power. "I was headed to the castle to launch a sneak attack on the stragglers. This was just... practice." The first half, at least, was true.
Nightwind grunted. "In the future I expect you to find more suitable targets. And as punishment for this gross disrespect of your fellow warriors, you're being given an escort mission." He laid Wave out on the ground in front of Xyzillentz.
"An escort mission? I hate those things, they're never any fun." Xyzillentz recognized the young boy from the beach. He hadn't been on their side then... what was going on? "And who is this? A prisoner of war? A slave?"
"No, he is an ally. And I expect you not to break this one."
One the one hand, there were interesting opportunities in dealing with a youngster who had apparently just converted to the dark side. On the other hand, Xyz had no interest in babysitting a weak, useless brat. He looked to Nightwind again, moving in uncomfortably close. "But if I'm such a rogue asset, shouldn't you keep a tighter watch on me? We ought to stick together, real close... after all, I'm a naughty boy." He winked lustfully. Nightwind flared his tail and mane menacingly. Getting the message, Xyzillentz backed off.
"Continue on your mission, Zeyetix, and take the boy with you. He may be of strategic importance. And if you ever make advances on me again, Samhain himself will smash you into nothing. I happen to be taken."
Nightwind flew away in a huff, on the way toward the Outpost. Xyzillentz begrudgingly walked over to the boy on the ground and prodded him with his foot. "Wake up, kid. I don't carry people unless they're sexy."

Jinko arrived just as Nightwind was leaving, upon passing Nightwind, he got a feeling that he should stay close to Xyz and make sure he didn't try anything funny.
"Hey, you're Xyzillentz, right? Wait, who's this guy, and why is he sleeping?"
Jinko had a strange feeling that this kid was important to their cause, but also felt that he should change the subject.
"Hey, is that destroyer guy always like that? Man, i'm still feelin' that blast. As for this guy, if you won't carry him, then I will. Just lead me in the right direction."
Jinko picked up wave and slung him across his right shoulder.
"Jeez this guy's heavy."
With that, he awaited his Superior's instructions.

As Zeyetix tapped Wave's head with his foot, his nose twitched a little as he slowly began to regain consciousness. He head moved ever so slightly as his eyes remained close. The sound of his nostril inhaling could be faintly heard, as if he smelled something.
" F-... Fooot... sstink..."
He wasn't quite aware of what Xyzillentz had said to him, as his eyes ever so slowly began to open. Well, the face above him definitely wasn't Warrior, but nor was it that horse-guy from before. Before Wave eyes opened far enough to recognize the lizard-man as that snake from the beach, he felt himself being tossed up and landing on another navi's shoulder.
" Oomph!"
The collision with the shoulder blade and Wave's gut made him want to vomit -- the fact that his head was hanging upside down, half way low on Jinko's back, didn't help soothe that sensation either.
" I'm... awake..."
And he wanted to be put down. Not knowing what the heck had happened while he was out, Wave took a look around. The Gauss Inc. Building sure looked different... Perhaps this was another one of Nightwind's and Samhain's tricks?

Xyzillentz glared at Jinko. "Put the boy down and stop your blabbering. He's my responsibility. If you want to help, walk ahead of us and be a living shield. That's the only use a can think of for you."
He walked over to the annoying tag along and hissed, his pink tongue flickering rapidly. "As far as Nightwind knows, you're still offline. I won't hesitate to delete you again if you get in my way."

Jinko heard the young navi's words.
"Well, that's surprising."
Jinko placed wave on his feet and noticed something was up.
"Hey, you don't look so good."
Jinko grabbed the nearest bucket shaped object he could and handed it to wave.
"Hold onto that."
He turned back to Xyz.
"As far as getting in your way, I will not, but I refuse to take a bullet for you. I can, however serve as a rear guard. If you lead the way, I will follow, protecting this boy with my life."
He then turned back to Wave.
"And don't try anything funny, we could easily tie you up or knock you out again, and i don't think you would like either of those options."
Jinko was not the same as he was before. He smiled an evil grin.
"So, where are we taking him?"

Wave was still a little dazed... what the heck was going on? He tossed the bucket to the side. Won't be needing that as long as he's on his own two feet.
" Soo... Who's doing what? Taking who? And... "
Wave looked around, still no sight of Nightwind or Warrior.
"Hmph, Liar. Said he'd take me to Warrior..."
... But being lost was better than being dead. At this point, Wave recognized Xyz as the kind navi who had sympathy for him on the beach. Wave's strength of will had noticeably increased since that time, but he was still a pretty fragile kid. He remembered Xyz joining Nightwind's forces as well... so atleast the two of them were allies again.
He stood between Xyz and Jinko, pretty much waiting to follow which ever took the lead at this point. One thing was for sure -- they were certainly less lost than he was.

"Trust me kid, you don't wanna go to Warrior right now, he's busy dealing with a large problem. If anything, he'll find you when it's over. We're just here to keep you safe until he get's done."
Jinko didn't think that Xyz needed his help in this, but it was better than being deleted again.
"So, what were you doing when the boss found you?"
Jinko was ready to listen to everything the boy had to say.

" I was... uh..."
A little confused as he stuttered, Wave sort of scratched his head in confusion... His question hadn't been answered... at all. But it sounded like Warrior needed him. Some self-righteous sense of duty rose up in him, inspiring determination to seek and support Warrior.
" ... Nothing much. Pretty much the same thing I'm doing now -- looking for Warrior. But if he's in trouble, and all of us are on the same side now, why aren't you guys helping him out too?"
In trouble or not, atleast he knew Warrior was alive. No telling how long that would last, ofcourse. Curiosity began to rise in the boy, as he started to wonder why these two were away from the group... and what exactly the rest of the group was stuck dealing with...

"Well, I don't know about the serpent here, the two of us would just get in the way, and I'd probably end up being deleted yet again."
Jinko could tell that the boy was worried.
"Trust me, Warrior's not one to go down easily. I know because I've seen the look in his eyes. Neither will Embera. We all fight for the same cause, but we three have a different fight than they do. Our fight is one that will help them a great deal more."
Jinko wasn't sure if the child believed him or not, but he was speaking more truly than ever.
"The Destroyer, and Genesis, all they see is another war. I see a chance for peace. Think, why do we go to war? We go because we want to defend something. What if what we're trying to protect doesn't need protection? What if it just needs our trust? Young one, you need not be near him to help him. You need only trust him."
