" I'd rather have kissed on of the trolls than--- GGAAAAHHH!!"
Interrupted mid-complaint, just before Nightwind had told him to (essentially) shut up, Wave felt joltz of electricity course his body in seconds. His vision began slowly fading to black even while he still felt the stinging tickles of shock down his spine and at the tips of his extremities. He fell headlong to his back unconscious from the attack -- moreso even because of his Elemental Affinity.
As the water began to build up where wave was lying, his body naturally absorbed some of it even in his state of concussion-like paralysis. While its strengthening effects weren't enough to wake him up immediately, the water did oh so slowly repair the internal injuries Wave had experienced from the shock.
... If only that could have happened before he 'kissed' the horse-man's boot... ((OOC: *shot* ))

Fed up at this point, Nightwind sighed loudly as he flapped his mighty wings once more. The gust of darkness and obsidian shards proceeded to tear Memory to pieces unceremoniously.
MEMORY.EXE DELETED
With that, Nightwind picked up the boy in his strong arms, stepped outside the building, and took off.

Finale teleported back into the area, unsure of exactly just what had happened. He noticed the door was opened and stepped in.
"Hello!?"
He hoped there wouldn't be more demons. Demons are horrible.
"Where's Wave. . ."

There were more demons. Luckily for Finale, they weren't the ones that had previously killed him. Unluckily, they were the stronger duo that had killed Aluminum. Still, this meant the two did not recognize him - and didn't know he was a good guy.
The peculiar thing about demons is that the younger ones are born with the innate ability to sense goodness and purity of intentions, a sense that dulls with age and experience. Being top-ranking demons, these two had none of this ability left.
Unsure of his allegiance, they supplied him with information as well as they could and waited to see his reaction.
"Boy go with master Nightwind. Others dead. Much fun."

"Very good."
Very bad. These demons seemed dumb enough, but Finale didn't want to underestimate them. Finale took notice of the prisoners, then gained an ingenious idea.
"Now, Lord Samhain wanted these prisoners relocated to outside the area of the curse. They will think they are free and then will be killed when I give the signal. If someone tries to kill them before I give the signal, they are traitors. Even General Nightwind."
Finale gestured toward the prison cells. Hopefully, the stupid demons would get to work.
"And from now on you two take orders from me and me only. I am Samhain's private spy, EnHasteRa-an. And I rank higher then Nightwind. Get to moving!"

The demons laughed. It was a sickening, mocking sound. "You think us stupid, silly man? Lord Samhain tell us to guard himself. He say only he can tell us let them go. You not him! You are small, and he is very big!"
The demons found this so hilarious they continued cackling away for several minutes, not bothering to attack Finale.

"Of course. . . Stupid average grunts. Not respecting authority. Do you know why I was appointed his spy? Because even though I am small in stature, I can change to apear as any other being."
EnHasteRa-an smiled, he would show the stupid grunts his true power. He activated an SE, the old one he got from Xyzillents a while ago. His data reformed and took on the appearance of Xyzillents or more appropriately, his suit and visor.
"See now why I am Samhain's top? Because I am anyone. In fact I could be one of you two right now, and one of you could be me. . ."

This got the demons' attention. "You make new clothes!?" It was clear even to them it was the same person in a suit that just looked different. "We want clothes! Make suit for me, I do favor!"

"Well, you'll have to give me more details then that. Look, buddy, let's get these guys moving and we can talk on our way, kay?"
Finale was getting impatient. A little longer and he'd start shooting things. Not to mention he still needed to find Wave. . .

Xyzillentz wandered into the area, causing one of the demons to divert its gaze and stare at the darkloid.
"Look! He have same clothes! Is it new uniform?"
"Hardly..." Xyzillentz responded in a cool, calm voice. "It's an original, just for me. And I wouldn't dream of letting my allies wear it. Something with the same color scheme, sure, but this is far too close for comfort." In perfect time with his words, he acted out a different interpretation, running his hands down the other navi's duplicate suit, his body in close. The logical conclusion was that this was Finale in disguise - he had transmitted an SE to him once, back in Bayside City.
"Now Finale, you wouldn't be trying to pull a fast one with this cheap knockoff, would you? One stripe and no vents... it's not terribly convincing once you've seen the full glory of the original." The serpentine sinner gave a sly look to his double, an enticing tone slipping into his voice, his mannerisms becoming subtly seductive as he shimmied in front of Finale. "You know I like you, Fin. I've done you favors before. If you want to get in on the winning side, you don't need these lousy tricks. Just ask. I'll give you one last chance... here and now."
He punctuated his statement with a wink.

Jinko arrived shortly after Xyz. What he saw made him want to throw up. So, instead, he turned to the demons.
"What are you doing? Shouldn't you be guarding the prisoners?
This was no time for these guys to be fooling around.
(Never send a demon to do a navi's job.)
"Stop prattling on about clothes, and do your job. Or would you like me to call Master Nightwind, and tell him that you are slacking?"
He knew he had them there. They seemed to already know of Nightwind's terror. He turned his attention back to Xyz and his double.
"Who's this guy, he looks kind of familiar. Wait a minute, this is the guy that was with Wave before."

"Hmph. Why would I join you? I need to rescue these navii. It is my duty, and a duty I'll fulfil now."
Finale began to pace back and forth, he had no idea what was going on. His cover was blown, he still didn't know where Wave was, and wanted to be back on the front lines of the war effort.
"Look, Xyz, I saved you from Airman, so just return the favor for me this one time. I need this. I need Samhain to go away. I need this nightmare to end. And It's almost too late. . ."

Jinko pulled Xyz off to the side.
"What do we do now? He'll probably delete us if Wave walks up behind us. Speaking of which..."
Jinko scanned the area for wave, not seeing him.
"Where did he go?"
Jinko turned to Finale.
"We could tell you where your friend is, if you join us. If not, we'll just have to tell Master Nightwind that you have lost interest."
There was an evil smirk across Jinko's face, one that should have tempted Finale to say something.

Xyzillentz sighed and rolled his big purple eyes, pushing Jinko out of the way and walking back over to the viral navi. "Finale... why is that your duty? Who gave it to you? And why the hell are you so stuck to it, hm? What's in it for you, why do you NEED for this to go away?" He made a grand gesture, motioning with his hand to the corrupted scenery. "There's a whole world of opportunities to explore that you've just been ignoring. What you NEED is to open your eyes."
He took a step or two back, ignoring his hanger-on, Jinko. "And let's talk about favors, shall we? You didn't save me from AirMan. I was leaving already when you screamed 'Don't leave!' and swept me away in a rather uncomfortable storm. Then I hid you from harm and found Backman to heal you. And you know what? While I was off doing that, the object of my affections wandered off to parts unknown." The anger built in his voice as he continued on, reaching a crescendo as he touched on the subject of Trance. He could still picture him perfectly in his mind's eye... open, attractive, fun-loving.
His mind drifted for a moment, but when he pulled it back he spoke calmly and firmly. "The way I see it, I've been nothing but nice to you, and it's cost me a lot. You're the one who owes me favors, Finnie." He spitefully spat out the nickname, a bit of his toxic saliva shooting out as he did. "Yet here I am doing you another favor by inviting you over to the right team. It's disgusting, really. I must have some sick obsession with you."
He considered stopping there, but decided against it. As was often the case, curiosity got the best of him. "Now let's assume all that was moot. That I owed you my life. What then? What would you have me do that would change the course of all this? I'm flattered you think I'm so instrumental, really, but it seems a bit naive."

"Bu. . .ah. . .no I. . ."
Finale was overwhelmed. Xyzillients had brought up alot of good points. Why was he fughting on the side of good? Why did the original virus want or need to repent for it's sins? Why was Finale the one who needed to carry out the repenting!
"I don't know. . ."
Finale sighed wistfully.
"I don't know why I exist. . . Why I was even born. . . I barely know Ion, the one who saved my life. I look up to him and I don't even know him. I. . . don't know."
Finale had a barely recognizable tear in his eye. He honestly had no idea why anything happened or how. He was a navi without a reason or a purpose beside 'Help navi-kind.'. But he didn't know why he had to help navi kind. He wanted reasons. Reasons that don't exist. . .
"I DON'T KNOW"
Finale, in his combined rage and emptiness, tried to punch Xyz, in a very sudden and unexpected way.
"I. . . don't know. . .I don't know. . ."
