(Matching at version 4)
It was a fine line that a navi that called him coward walked. He wore no armor, to allow his opponent an advantage. He fought without weapon, to make it easier on them. He was a far throw from noble and his skill was anything but masterful. These advantages were granted to opponents for one reason; It was fun. Interesting, even. For those who named him coward, though, he wished he had not granted them such advantages.
For a brief, fleeting moment, in those situations; He wished he had worn armor or brought a blood thirsty blade with him. Though he never did. Too much hassle to go through all for one battle. One battle with whelps not unlike these.
The forest had not been his idea, though he didn't really have an 'ideal' battleground. He'd been lead here by a group of three looking to test their skills. Naturally, Force had accepted without hesitation. He would face any foe in any conditions, that was his personal rule. It was to be single combat for them, endurance rounds for Force. The battle with the first member of their group had ended with a tactic they hadn't cared for, dropping a tree on him for the KO.
It was then they'd come at him, two on one, making that tiny slip of the tongue. The one who'd said it, a blue navi wearing a trench coat of a darker blue, had wound up with his face buried in the data of a tree. Force having immediately smashed him with the hardest punch he could muster.
"WAIT! WAIIIT!!" A yellow navi screeched, attempting to heft his weapon as a heftier one came at him. He'd been rushing at Force from the bulky navis exposed back, preparing to raise his weapon and strike. Having seen his other comrade dealt with so quickly and Force beginning to turn, stopping filled his processor. His attempts failed. Thunder clapped, filling the forest with blinding light and sound as Force's fist struck the yellow navis chin; Sending it pinwheeling through the air before crashing to the data of the forest floor.
Force un-balled his hand and shook it furiously for a moment, attempting to regain the feeling in his fist. He approached the yellow navi lying on the ground and looked him over for a moment. Its processor had locked up and it would likely be deleted by the system in a few brief moments. The brawny brawler let a data packet fly from his mouth, landing on the yellow navis face before he turned to leave this place.

Near the site of Force's thunderous throwdown, a path through the forest was visible. The trees here still stood, but their leaves were blackened and shriveled. The pouring rain had begun to tear them off their branches, and the ground was littered with the fallen foliage, blending in with the ghastly grass that laid limply upon the dirt. This part of the forest was dead, all its simulated life choked out by some terrible taint.
The path stopped at the edge of a clearing, inside of which stood a beautiful garden. Bountiful blossoms of white were dotted amongst carefully-manicured bushes and snaking vines. They eagerly drank down the water to revitalize themselves. A brief respite. The toxic darkloid known as Xyzillentz had chosen this location for a rain-soaked rest... and his presence, as proven just yards away by a certain scar upon the land, was not usually good news for plant life.
He plucked a single flower from its bed, examining the petals through his dark visor. Their brilliant, pure white was tinted a steely blue by the light filtering through the rainclouds. The color was gentler, more subtle, less vibrant... So I'm not the only thing the rain has that effect on.
The usually energetic and flamboyant navi was feeling strangely calm and introspective... his mind seemed so clear. The rain always seemed to wash some part of him away when it came. But he had never felt it on his skin... not beneath the suit he used to restrain and control his fetid fog.
He dropped the flower to the earth, reaching up and taking off his helmet. The droplets of water hit his scales in a ceaseless barrage. It felt good. He needed more. He reached to his neck, finding the invisible seam in his suit. Slowly, he pulled it open - just enough to expose the porcelain-pale flesh beneath his chin to the elements. The rain was cold. It was almost a shock - the icy drops nearly stung the stale skin he'd hidden away for so long. But it was soothing... he'd always felt so hot and clammy inside his suit. The toxic gas that had built up inside his suit came flowing out, wafting up harmlessly into the air.
Part of him wanted to lay like this until the storm blew over, to experience as much as he could. But from the forest he heard a the sound of a falling tree, with a scream trailing just behind it. If trouble came his way, he would need to save his resources. Reluctantly, he resealed his suit and put the helmet back on his head. There was a pang of regret as the helmet closed around his face... but he had learned the importance of being prepared, and he would not be caught off-guard.

His business here completed, the almost bare chested navi had prepared to leave. This hit him with a minor snag, however. He didn't know where he was to begin with.
His path had taken him through element city, if he recalled correctly. From there he'd run into the three armed fighters, if their skills would allow for them to be called such, before being dragged out here. A sigh escaped the bulky brawler as he raised his head. All within sight was trees. Trees, with the occasional opening, and then more trees. Scanning the horizon didn't reveal much to him, other than they had walked much farther than he thought.
Noting the large tree beside him, the large navi bent his knees slightly before pushing off the ground with all his might. Small indentations remained in the forest floor as evidence of his deed. He flew up grabbing a rather large branch easily with one hand before pulling himself up onto it. From here his view was much improved. Though all he saw was, you guessed it, trees. With a mumbled oath to deforest the area if he had too; He once more began scanning the tree line. As with before, there was nothing up here to indicate which way civilization was.
"Then I will take this place apart!" He shouted to himself, preparing to jump off the branch. Force stopped, however, noting something odd in the distance. Just barely in his line of sight, hidden by a tree as tall as the one he was in, was a patch of black. Black like dead and dying trees.
Nowhere in his memory was there any indication that a patch of degrading code in the middle of the woods meant civilization. But seeing as it was the only irregularity in sight, he might as well go and inspect the situation. Leaning forward, he left the tree branch, landing with a thunderous boom some moments later. Another indentation of his boots marked this location. It started as a slow walk, evolved into a jog, and then became an all out charge as he crossed the forest.
As he ran the grass beneath him became discolored, brown and diseased looking. He craned his neck up, sliding to a stop at what he beheld. It was not simply A black tree. It was a line of them. A trail, you might say. Each looked as poisoned as the grass, perhaps more so. Following this, Force arrived in an area filled with flowers that didn't seem to be affected. Sitting in the middle of which, was a familiar being in a gray bodysuit.
"...You..." Force said simply, balling one hand into a fist. "Child of Jörmungandr."
The larger navi stared at the creature for a moment, before finally clapping a hand over his nose and mouth. A reaction written into his memory by the poison sting of this very being. Two things rested on his mind. Getting the hell out of here, and taking a second shot at this guy who'd beaten him. The fact he'd lost fairly factored in there somewhere. He considered his options, for a moment. While a second chance at a battle was attractive, he would not engage, as the loser of a fair fight shouldn't, unless it was brought up to him first. "How do I leave this place?" he asked instead.

The serpentine sinner sauntered over to this new arrival. Yes... he remembered him. Strong, but lacking technique. Hadn't even been able to touch him in their last battle. It was almost sad seeing him deleted... such a terrible waste of a wonderful body.
"You keep using that name... I haven't the faintest idea what you're talking about." Xyzillentz continued across the garden, matting down the wet grass as he went. His voice was calm but bemused, a smug tone slightly noticeable. "I do like the sound of it, though... about as hard to pronounce as mine."
He saw Force covering his mouth and nose and chuckled. "I'm flattered you remember so much about me, but you don't need to worry. This suit keeps the toxin contained... at least until it fills. And even then my vents have filters that purify most of it. It won't hurt you unless I want it to." The darkloid stopped just a few feet away from his larger counterpart, tilting his head upwards to maintain eye contact - not that Force would be able to see his eyes through the one-way visor.
"You've caught me at a good moment. I'm feeling rather tranquil. Normally I'd be looking for trouble, but I'm somewhat subdued for the moment. And you wouldn't give me a reason to hurt you after last time, would you?"
Xyz' speech to Force was interrupted by a roll of thunder, bursting with an energy that seemed to originate from their encounter. The noxious navi paused for a split second, reacquainting himself with the gentle song the raindrops were playing on the land. He spoke once again as if he had not let up at all.
"Of course, you seem like the kind who might go looking for trouble too. So I can't rule it out." Xyzillentz lowered his head, done speaking for the moment, trying to remember how exactly he'd gotten to where he was now. He hadn't decided if he was going to help Force leave just yet, but he would need to know the way out himself.
He was met with a faceful of Force's chisled, muscular body, rain cascading over his abs. Force was wonderfully attractive, of course there was that... but it was secondary to Xyz' fascination with the water. He couldn't help but remember the fleeting moment that he'd been able to feel the precipitation on his own body...
"The rain must feel wonderful on your skin... and it looks beautiful. It makes you glisten." There was a hint of jealousy in the villain's voice now. He was entranced... and without thinking, he reached out with one hand and touched.

Forces open hands balled into fists. Not give him reason to hurt me again!? he thought furiously.
He recalled that battle well. Confidence had been with him. No foe was so great he could not fight them. He'd challenged that suit clad snake with the belief he could beat him around easily. It hadn't gone his way from the very beginning. None of his attacks had landed on Xyz. His speed being far greater than Force had anticipated. Instead FORCE was the one who'd been beaten around by Xyz.
Each moment a punch looked as though it was about to connect, Xyz had moved out of the way and counter attacked. Force remembered well the energy bolt that had caught him in the face during that battle. The sting of it. Now the sting of these words. He'd lost, that was true. A loser was not supposed to challenge a winner again unless challenged in some way first. This he knew, and these words he would accept as such a challenge. The suited one had beaten him with a chip of some sort. If Force could beat him before he tried to use one....
His gaze moved towards Xyz, seeing the gloved hand moving toward his torso. Partly in reaction, partly because he considered Xyz to be challenging him again, did he move. One of his fists sailed towards the chin area of that helmet. Force not truly realizing it until he'd already fully thrown the punch....

Xyz was caught by surprise. The heavy, powerful fist slammed into him, sending him spinning and tumbling to the ground several feet away. His rolling form flattened a row of blossoms as it continued on. Adrenaline shot through Xyz' veins for a moment, but faded quickly as if carried away on streams of skywater. Good, he thought. Leave the brute force and aimless aggression to him.
He stood back up and wiped a few leaves off of his suit. "Someone has personal space issues, don't they?" The stripes on the back of the darkloid's suit began to glow a bright green. "You really should learn to control your aggressive impulses. You'll wind up biting off more than you can chew." He reached back and peeled the stripes off of his suit, wielding them as whips. "Remember these beauties?"
He charged forwards at Force and spun his body, building up momentum as he swung the whips around and lashed them out at his opponent. Redirecting his inertia with a continued twirl, he spun off to the side and away from Force, launching one green energy bolt from his visor as he came to a halt.

The whip tore through the air with the snakes speed, far greater than forces own. His right arm began to come up, but not nearly fast enough. Force grimaced as the energy strands made contact with him, having to step back from the force of their attack. Two thin wounds ran across his torso. His arm finished coming up as the energy bolt darted towards him. Just before impact a bright disc of blue energy burst into existence at his wrist.
The two energies collided, giving way to flashes of other colors before dying down. Last time they fought those whips had torn through him far faster than that. The energy blast had come in not one, but three. Two he'd neutralized in the same way, the third had caught him in the face. That wouldn't be happening again.
"I hadn't forgotten, not at all!" Force bellowed as he raised a fist and dashed towards the snake. The prepared fist flew forward as he closed the distance, a straight punch. Not expecting this too work in the slightest, however, Force quickly raised onf o his feet off the ground. He spun in a circle to gain momentum as he clapped his hands together, bringing a hammer blow towards that helmet Xyz hid behind.

Xyzillentz saw the punch coming and leaned back. Far back. He bent his knees and allowed his body to fall, the energy whips disappearing from his hands and the stripes on his suit rematerializing. He caught himself with his hands, low to the ground and staring up at his opponent as a heavy hammer blow whipped by overhead.
"Nice view." From this position, Xyzillentz had little in the way of mobility. He had to get this brute away from him. He let out a burst of toxic gas from all his vents, creating a noxious cloud all around him. From within the mist he unleashed another blast from his visor, this one a dark ray of evil energy aimed at Force's legs. The ray of darkness burnt off the droplets of water that had landed on Xyz' visor, reducing them to puffs of steam that were lost in the mass of swirling stench.

Force could not help but stare, wide eyed with surprise, at Xyz. The snake had read him like a book. A very predictable book about vampires or something. The vents opened, Force glancing down at them. The cloud rose up and he immediately attempted to cover his mouth and nose. Too late, though. He felt the toxic burning in the back of his throat. He took a half step back, but couldn't predict the next move. Something black emerged from the cloud, striking his leg and sending the sensation of searing skin through him. A pained cry escaped him as the outer layers of his right leg peeled off by the blast. When it ended he fell to one knee.
What was left in place of his perfectly functioning limb was a horribly wounded mock up. Something the bulky navi would not be able to rely upon for quick movement. The burning in his throat intensified, a sensation he remembered better than perhaps any of Xyzs attacks. The poison. Strength had left him after being hit by a cloud of similar composition in their last battle. The quaking in the arms holding his form up left him to believe the same would happen here.
He's too fast to fight normally. I won't let him beat me again! I WON'T! He raged in his head. A slight tinge of blue light edged itself around Force. One of the few attacks he hadn't used against Xyz in their last battle. Either because he hadn't thought of it, or because of how quickly he'd been beaten. It wasn't his most powerful attack, far from it. It was however, the only one with any real range. The grass around him bowed away, the only real sign of his Raseri Feltet aside from the minor light.
"HAUGGGH!" Force cried to the heavens, biting down on his lip as he used both legs to leap into the air. He traveled in an arch ready a fist as he sailed down towards Xyzs face.

The last thing Xyzillentz had expected from his foe was any kind of damaging bloom of energy. The power pounded on his data even though there was little to no sensation of force. He crawled backwards, shifting his legs as he pulled himself along the ground with his arms in an attempt to escape the damaging field.
Unfortunately, that movement put his chest right in the path of the long-haired attacker's leaping assault. Luckily for the sinister snake, he had telegraphed his move to no end. It was hard to see through the gas, still translucent as it began to dissipate. But the sound of his opponent's wailing and the glow of his energy gave away his position. He clearly has no sense of strategy. Or common sense, for that matter. But there is potential...
Xyzillentz rolled off to the side. He felt the shockwave of Force's impact rushing through the ground. The grass, dead and limp from Xyz' blast of toxin, vibrated wildly.
Xyzillentz stood up slowly. The dead grass had wilted, creating a flat, wet, slick surface that made it difficult to get much traction. A bolt of lightning flashed across the sky, instantly illuminating the battlefield. Many of the flowers had been poisoned and killed by Xyzillentz' actions, giving the immediate area the appearance of a withered wasteland.
The rain was coming down harder now. The loud pitter-patter of rain on Xyzillentz' helmet was still soothing... but also distracting. Wordlessly, he reached up and removed it once again, allowing it to fall to the ground. The water felt nice on his shining green scales. It calmed him...
"You're powerful, Force, no one can deny that. But you have much to learn about battle."
He spoke simply and matter-of-factly, without a trace of anger in his voice. He made no move to attack. When he closed his mouth, there was no hiss of gas jets. The only sound was the storm's soulful symphony.

The snake moved, Force not fully surprised by that any more. He landed fist first, digging deep into the data of the forest. Pain hammered on his processor as his right leg absorbed his impact. He looked up, watching the snake scurry away as the quaking returned to his limbs. That detestable poison. A bit of data ran from Forces lip as he released pressure on it, face twisting with the effort it took to focus and pull his arm out of the ground before coming to stand up.
Xyz removed his helmet, revealing his snake like face to Force for a second time. The bulkier navi shook his arm, sending flecks of of the forest floor in every direction. The venomous villain spoke for a moment, telling Force what he really thought of him. Force wiped a bit of coolant from his forehead before flexing one arm and slapping the other against it.
"I haven't even gotten started!" He shouted, quaking limbs seeming to calm some.
Even someone as single minded as Force could see the snake was up to something. Smarter combatants, however, would not simply charge in, determined to take whatever attack Xyz was about to unleash. That blue tinge surrounded him a second time as Force began a charge that really shouldn't be classified as such. It was more like a very quick limp. As he closed the distance again he fired another straight punch before rearing back, preparing to slam his head against Xyzs.

Xyzillentz remained still and calm. As Force moved in, his stripes began glowing again. But this time no whips materialized. A defensive, green orb formed around the darkloid. The rain rolled off its sides, cascading down to the ground. Force's punch hit the barrier, which did not budge. His following headbutt was similarly repelled, although the sphere of energy shattered soon after.
"You see? You're wasting your potential. Always a sad sight. You can't just rush into everything. I had to learn that the hard way, and so will you."
Xyzillentz turned his body slightly to the side, never breaking eye contact with Force. He sprayed out more toxic gas from the vent on his chest. It formed a cloud next to him, floating harmlessly above the already-dead grass. Xyzillentz' gemlike eyes began to glow a deep, entrancing purple. They radiated a hypnotic energy, pounding against Force's feeble mind like the thousands of hammering raindrops.
"For example..."
A barrage of hypnotic suggestion was sent directly at Force's mind. Attack the cloud. Attack the cloud. Destroy it. Destroy it.
Xyzillentz knew he was taking a risk. He couldn't control Force directly... but his mind should be weak enough to submit to his will. And if not, he could be in for a world of hurt. Still, it was worth a chance...

Forces pupils shrank as the snakes voice penetrated his head. One of his, admittedly many, weaknesses. The screaming of a warrior gone over the edge echoed in his mind, influencing him just as thoroughly as the snakes. This scream, however, seemed to agree with Xyz.
The cloud had to die, and he was the only man who could do it. The only way he knew how. He darted towards the cloud, wincing with every movement of his right leg. The scream grew louder as he got near it. That blue tinge coming up around the brawny brawler as he reached the cloud and put a fist through it. The cloud dissipated as his limb went through it. That screaming in his head grew louder. The cloud wasn't the only thing that had to die. EVERYTHING DID! He had to prove his status as the greatest fighter now! Right now! FRIGGING TREE!
"TREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"Force shouted, echoing the amped up aggression the snake had given him. He moved, as quickly as possible, to one side of the clearing and began swinging. The sound of wood cracking echoed through the clearing, followed by groaning and the sound of creaking. Force changed to a different tree, blood covering his knuckles. The tree he'd been hitting previously began to lean before finally swinging down. the tall tree landed a few feet from Xyz. Force moved again to another tree as it dropped. A second tree beginning to fall, the snake like program in the path of this one....
