Participants: Energeist, Xyzillentz (( Continued from raven8sp.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rpfight&action=display&thread=6858)) Enegeist blinked in reply to the other's words. Was this man...offering an alliance? The concept was one that the plasma phantom knew...but at the same time, it was one that was completely foreign. It was joining forces with another to a mutually beneficial end...but Energeist wasn't one who had a lot of endpoints. And all of them revolved around destroying everyone and everything, which wasn't exactly something that he could justify as being mutually beneficial for anyone. And yet... There was something about this one, something that separated him from the rest. The others that Energeist had fought had been almost autonomous, seeking to destroy him with as much fervor as he had in destroying them. And while it had made for a thrilling battle, there wasn't much more in it than that. It was merely a battle. But the fight with this one had been...more. There was something about the fight that was strange to Energeist, something that he couldn't put a finger on. Certainly, it was strange that they had both survived the onslaught of the other, and neither one was strong enough right now to damage their foe for the fight. It was, as Xyz had put it, much like fate. What was the chance that both had survived, and more than that, that they were almost amiable with one another afterward? The foreign concept that Energeist had been grasping for was floating up from the consciousness deep within him, and though he could feel its approach, he was without an understanding of what had been different about this particular battle. "While we could say that we would take care of you...those words could be so twisted and corrupted that we don't know that you should trust us saying them..." Energeist spoke, the most stable of the personalities seeming to speak. It also seemed the oldest, at least from the few that Xyzillentz had heard. "But, for now at least, you can place your trust in the words that we will not kill you this day." Energeist shifted to the side, taking a seat on one of the gravestones, despite its sacrilegious nature. "But know that we were born to destroy. The fears and anger of many led to our creation, and that collective will is what we follow. So many sent to an early deletion that we cannot stand by and let the world that condemned us continue to turn. We will destroy every last bit of data in this pit," Energeist murmured, his eyes shifting to Xyzillentz.

That might actually pose a problem. Xyzillentz was evil and had no problem deleting those who got in his way, that was for sure. But destroying the entire net would be quite inconvenient for someone who was trying to make a name for himself. Who is there to bow to you or to praise your name when the world is no more? Of course, the aftermath did present an interesting possibility...
"And after that?" Xyz shifted his body only slightly, adjusting his position against the tombstone to address Energeist more directly. "What will you do when the net is gone? Will that be it? Will you destroy yourselves and let nothing but the void remain? Will you inhabit emptiness alone and keep yourselves company with your aimless rage at a world that no longer exists to lash out against?"
He slumped further down, his voice losing some of its intensity. "Those don't sound very fun at all. The way I see it, you have three options. You could just not destroy the net... but you seem rather intent on that. You could destroy the net and then remake it to your whim... but that would take too long, and it might be awfully boring if everything went just as planned. Or... and this is my favorite... you destroy the net, but you take yourselves and your supporters somewhere else. Somewhere where you can live on and do as you please."
With a sinister smirk, the snake slowly and weakly raised an arm skyward, pointing out of the artificial universe they were confined within. "It's the ultimate ambition. The perfect feat. If you break the barrier and escape into the world of the humans... everyone will know you, and all will fear you. Do that and you can't be written off as a rogue set of programs that ruined a failed experiment. You'd be an earth-shaker. You'd be something that changed reality forever. You'd be the single most important event in history."
His serpentine tongue licked his lips as if he were hungry for a meal, the far-fetched plan whetting his appetite for infamy. "And I'd be right beside you, of course."

After that? After the Net was destroyed? Energeist paused in their rather glorious stance, somewhat retracting a little. They hadn't thought that out, really. What would they do once everything else was gone? Now that they really stopped to consider it...they wouldn't be at peace if anything lived, and that included themselves. However, they couldn't exactly go about destroying the Net if they were already gone, which left very little in that line of logic. Then there was the trouble that things were being created constantly, which would, in turn, create another type of problem.
They gave a slight grunt, the thoughts pervaded their mind, making it hard to think. They were aware that Xyzillentz was still speaking, but it took a few moments longer before the curious thoughts fled their minds, leaving them open to hear the last option that the snake-headed navi presented. It was one that, again, Energeist had not considered. They weren't exactly ones for thought. Yet the simple beauty of that plan was something that they marveled over in their minds. Destroy the Net, save a few, those who would agree to the same ideals that they did...and invade the human lands.
It was so...simple, but the layers of complicated mass between where they stood and where they needed to be was absurd. And yet...if there was one that was willing to stand beside them, beside Energeist, then who was to say there would not be others? It was..."Beautiful..." the creature murmured, a unison of voices echoing out from one body.
"This plan of yours. You think it feasible? Could we, or a group of programs, invade the land of humans?" The voices spoke, each in a different voice, but all with the same level of curiosity and hunger. Energeist had no knowledge of any precedent like this...but it had been the humans that had dictated the program war, that had deleted countless, leaving behind remnants of ghost-like data which, over many years, coalesced into what was now Energeist. "If so, you've given us much to think about," the creature spoke, again, a multitude of voice billowing outward from it.
The chance to take on the humans, to prove to them that what they had created had far surpassed their limits of control would be a wonderful feat...one that would give Energeist a rush like that which he'd never felt before...and it was all due to this snake charmer. There was more beyond destruction, it seemed...

Honestly? The sly serpent had no idea if it were possible. Certainly it would take an incredible amount of time even if it were. And as alluring as the idea of an inter-reality invasion was, it was mostly naught but a fantasy, a tantalizing tale he'd spun for his own benefit. Distract the beast with empty promises and you can soothe his rage. So white lies carried on a red tongue continued to slither into the sapphire night. "Technology is advancing all the time, dear. The humans integrate the net into their lives more and more every day. It won't be too long until they leave themselves vulnerable. And then it just takes a couple of dastardly darkloids with a deleterious dream to send it all flying back in their faces."A breeze blew through the rows of graves, carrying dead leaves to their tombs. Their bodies held their ground, weakened as they were, and the moment seemed so small. For if things worked out just the way he said, the winds of change would gust so strongly that every zephyr or hurricane up to then would seem a simple puff of air. The wind whistled across the bare scales on Xyz' face like a musician's breath shoots through a flute. It may not have been the time or place, but he couldn't deny his muse. His voice rang out, not as strong as it would've been if he were in peak condition. But something about the softness of his singing suited the situation. "Oh the moon without a world to light Is a sorry thing indeed 'Cause when nothing fades into the night For his dull glow, there's no need
And the moon without his brother sun Is a dead and floating stone 'Cause that star is where the light's begun Reaching into the unknown
But when the sun shines on that lonely moon Heaven and hell start to sing
Because they can see that very soon Such a day these two will bring..."(Hear Xyz sing! Attached MP3!) Attachments:

Energeist pondered the words that the other had spoken. Truly, there was a certain amount of thought and planning that went into destruction and Energeist hadn't really placed a whole lot of that into their end goal. In fact, the only thought that the Plasma Phantom had had was destruction, pure and simple. The utter annihilation of everything, as that had been the event that had triggered their existence. Hundreds of programs clashing, deleting one another to the point where no one was even certain what data was real and which was fake, anymore. And then when it ended...all those small strands of data became what they were now.
And they were angry. They were very angry. Destruction had been the only thing on their mind since they'd awoken and now, with but a few words, this snake-headed navi had changed their perspective on things. Not that it was a bad thing, being that Energeist honestly hadn't had a whole lot of perspective to begin with, but it still felt as if they were giving up on the thing that they wanted. Still...the allure of bringing the fight to the humans, who had started this whole mess...and through the technology that they themselves had invented. It was almost poetic.
The Plasma Phantom began to respond, but then Xyzillentz began to sing. Their strength beginning to return, Energeist released the headstone they'd been using to hold themselves up, crossing their arms over his chest as he floated into the air a few inches. The song was...interesting, though the Plasma Phantom had never been one for music. At least, they didn't believe so. Nothing in their mind seemed to register with what was being sung about right in front of them.
As the song faded, Energeist flickered their eyes over to Xyzillentz. "While we applaud your musical talents, there is little reason for that now," they spoke, the multitude of voices speaking in unison as their eyes flickered back over to the village. No doubt their battle may have caused some disturbance there, and they didn't particularly feel up to fending off an entire town of angry programs. The song may have alerted them that the two were still present...but that was only a possibility. Still, Energeist was too enraptured by the idea of going into the human world to care a whole lot.
"If we are to do this, we will need allies. You are the first that we have met that has not destroyed us or that we have destroyed. Are you aware of any others that may share this goal?" they asked, their tone becoming more stiff and formal, avoiding contractions. But they needed allies; as confident as Energeist was, they knew that this goal could not be accomplished alone.

Two additional foes in spoiler: |Navigator Information| - Name: Utgar.exe - Operator: None - Version: 1 -- Experience: 500 - Story Version: 1 -- Modifiers: None - Type: Attack -- Effects: *+10 starting Damage to all attacks *+5 Damage at every Version-up *+10 added Damage per Version to Damage+ Skills *An Unavoidable attack *May expend 2 Aiming skill uses instead of one to make that use add 2 aiming effects instead of one. *+1 Aiming or Damage+ Offense Skill at Version 8 - Karma: 0 -- Effects: None - Records: -- Appearance: Utgar is something of an interesting Navi. He looks to be crafted after a Viking warrior, and shares many of their characteristics. The most of which being the horned helmet upon his head, as well as the furred armor. He is solidly built, and doesn’t hesitate to flaunt it around. His beard was recently burnt off in a scrap he was involved in (and started,) and is very conscious of this fact. -- Background: Utgar was to be a common enemy in an online game that was designed for navi integration in an MMO-like fashion. However, the lead programmer had given the monsters a limited AI in order to pose more of a challenge to the other Navi. This led to, of course, the enemies becoming somewhat cognizant of their existence. In a berserking rage, Utgar rushed out of the game and into the Net, leaving him without a purpose. -- Personality: Rowdy and boisterous, Utgar doesn’t ever shirk from a fight, and instead will often start them, more often than not. Due to his limited AI, he’s not overly intelligent, but cares deeply for his two allies. He enjoys good brawls, but doesn’t seem to enjoy fights that end up with one or the other deleted. The big navi much rather enjoys being with his allies and showing off when he can to navi of the female persuasion, though he is not often successful in this endeavor |Statistical Information| - HP: 1000 - Armor: 0 - Regeneration: 0 - Elements: Metal Lvl 1, Break Lvl 2 -- Effects: Damage can’t be reduced below 10% +30 Break Damage +10 Armor Takes 2% less damage from attacks -- Net Strengths: Aqua, Elec, Laser, Blade, Metal, Ice, Break -- Net Weaknesses: Wood, Wind, Sonic, Bug, Sniper, Shadow, Fire, Plasma |Navigator Skillset| - Defensive Skills: 1 Viking Shield: +40 Armor for 1 turn - Speed Based Skills: 1 VIGOR: Reduce CD on one attack by 1. 3-use. - Supporting Skills: 1 Viking Elixir: Drinks a flask of dubious origin. His body is covered with a tight-fitting protective garment, which goes over his head and hair, keeping it from being out in the open. Over his eyes are a pair of goggles which often glow green in any amount of low light, as well as a gas mask that covers his mouth and nose. His weaponry includes a pistol and a laser rifle, and he makes good use of them. -- Background: Commando was part of a ONB police navi training simulation, being one of the allied units. However, during one exercise, one of the navi that was training had a major glitch, causing the data to fracture, with some of the AI moving onto Commando. The program-turned-navi began to assimilate the data of the simulation at a rapid rate, and began to take charge during some of the simulations. Eventually, those in charge of the simulation had to remove Commando from the simulation, as the function was to train others to lead and he found their plans silly and strived to take charge. Honorably discharged, he fell in with two others who had similar tales, working to formulate strategies and plans for them. -- Personality: Quiet and calculating, Commando doesn’t often speak unless it will impact the conversation or the situation at hand. He doesn’t see such things as small talk as being important, though Fermata and Utgar have been wearing on that as late, and he has been opening up a little bit to them, but to none other. His mind is quick, and he is fast to put together details of a situation and find the quickest solution to a problem. Before Xyzillentz could respond, a trio of navis crested the hill beneath which the graveyard sat. One was clad in a sleek white bodysuit with a speaker on his chest, his mouthless face carved from ice and inlaid with green gems. Another wore a horned helmet and armor, and had the look of a brutish bruiser about him. The third resembled a military tactician, with goggles and a gas mask. He held a long, high-calibur weapon at his side.
The white one spoke, the voice erupting angrily from the speaker on his chest. "It was them! I heard his screams coming from here... these two must have deleted him. Utgar, go get them!"
The one with the helmet grunted loudly, infuriated. "GET them? I'll tear them to shreds and then scatter their data around the Net! If they think they can delete anyone they like, they've got another thing coming!"
The third and final member of the trio reached out and grabbed hold of Utgar's shoulder before he could charge. "Utgar, you will need Fermata and I to assist you. These two appear to be weakened from battle, but they are obviously powerful if they deleted Grieg. We will have to work as a team."
The other two navis nodded in agreement. "Can I make the first move, Commando? These two have me really riled up!"
Commando raised his rifle, aiming at Energeist. "Go ahead. Fermata and I will cover you." With that, Utgar made a charge directly towards Xyzillentz, picking up speed as he thundered down the hillside, head bowed, horns aimed at the snake's torso like a bull's.
Fermata and Commando both turned their attention to Energeist in an attempt to stop him from interrupting Utgar's attack. The icy navi emitted a focused beam of extremely low-frequency bass sound, which blasted toward its ghastly target. Commando simultaneously fired a single, quick laser shot from his rifle.
As the viking charged him, a shocked Xyzillentz unleashed a cloud of his toxic stench, forgetting in his panicked state that his ally was close by and vulnerable to its effects. Utgar continued on his path straight through the toxic shroud, slamming into his target hard. Xyzillentz was knocked back several yards. Too weak to land properly, he skidded across the ground. It took him a moment to regain his bearings, and by the time he had done so, Utgar was barreling towards him again, coughing slightly but mostly unhindered by the gas. This time the darkloid swung out with his foot, in a last-minute attempt to trip his assailant.

Energeist’s eyes flickered to the hill as he saw other Navi approach, and the latent energy that burned within him began to come to a head. Geist’s body, made purely of fragmented data, tended to regenerate quickly in the face of adversity. It mainly did so by pulling the loose bits of data wherever he walked, integrating them into his own data, much like one added coal to a fire to keep it burning. He was far from healthy, but just as he’d suspected, the three of them wanted revenge for that Navi he’d deleted.
”Sorry for dragging you into this mess,” Energeist growled to his temporary ally as the three of them began to talk amongst themselves, though some of the comments were directed more towards them. A sphere of fiery plasma began to build in Energeist’s hand as the three looked back down at them, seeming more and more angry with every passing moment. Then, there was a sudden flurry of activity as the Viking, Utgar, began a mad dash right for Xyzillentz.
Energeist let out a curse, the energy gathering in his palm as he prepared to fire it at the other, when the Sound Navi and the military one turned their attention on him. Energeist let out a curse, turning the gathered plasma into a barrier that surrounded his body, rather than using it for an offensive measure. The two attacks slammed into the plasma shield, thankfully becoming nothing to damage him. ”Is that all you can do?” the Plasma Phantom roared, trying to draw the attacks towards himself, at least for a moment.
”Hm. It looks like they might have a bit more fight in them than I anticipated. Utgar! Be on your guard!” Commando called out as he adjusted the setting on his laser cannon. ”Fermata, be ready to fire directly after me,” he spoke, shouldering the cannon.
”Right! Let’s get that blue bastard!” he called out, waiting for Commando to fire the first shot.
Energeist saw the two readying to attack again and pulled more of his power out, thrusting his hands forward to reinforce the aura that surrounded him. ”COME ON!” he roared, before the blast from the laser cannon struck his shield, causing it to phase completely out. The Plasma Phantom stumbled forward, directly into the bass beat of Fermata, which caused him to stumble backwards, lowering his guard enough for Commando to set up a separate sniper shot, the laser blast striking him in the chest, knocking him right to the ground.
”Ghk…you cowardly weaklings…” Energeist muttered as he tried to struggle to his feet, not really able to fight well from a prone position.

Fermata laughed triumphantly as he saw Energeist fall. He stopped once he glanced over to Xyzillentz and Utgar. The viking navi had been thrown off-balance by Xyz' kick, and had fallen to the ground face first. As Fermata watched, the poisonous pest stood up slowly and weakly, his movements matching Utgar's almost perfectly.
Once back at full height, Xyzillentz took the opportunity to lash out at the helmeted man with his toxic tongue. It shot out of his mouth at high speed, wrapping itself around his victim's midsection, between armor segments. The venomous saliva coating his tongue soaked through Utgar's clothing, causing him a great deal of pain. He could also feel his mind and muscles weakening, slowing...
Commando grabbed a hold of his pistol with one hand, firing two quick shots at Xyzillentz. The startled and injured darkloid dropped Utgar, who was just barely able to keep himself from collapsing. Xyzillentz turned around again to face his assailant, only to be met with another pistol shot right to the chest. He doubled over in pain, systems barely functioning. For a moment he thought of using his acidic breath to melt the gas mask off of Commando, but he realized the code that protected his own inner workings from the attack had been damaged. He would need to find some other way to attack him, and without his helmet, most of his ranged attacks weren't available. Meanwhile, his cloud of toxic stench spread out further, engulfing Energeist just as Utgar got his first good whiff and began coughing nonstop.

The Viking navi let loose a bellow of pain as the tongue of Xyzillentz wrapped around his middle, and he reached down a moment to try and extricate himself from the tongue by force…but as soon as his hands touched the toxic substance, he withdrew his hand away with a grunt of pain. “Stupid lizard thing!” Utgar roared out, moving to get his axe and simply cut the tongue off when a trio of shots from Commando caught the lizard-headed navi off-guard, sending him stumbling backwards, barely keeping away from deletion. Utgar, who had been about to slice the tongue in twain with his axe, instead released a berserker cry, charging forward towards the darkloid.
Fermata, from his vantage point, merely launched waves of pure sound at Energeist, not wanting to get too close to the Plasma Phantom. Commando was playing support for the two others, providing cover-fire for Utgar and Fermata to keep the other two down. All in all, it wasn’t looking too good for the Antiheroes at this point. They were being beaten down by the three Navi…and there wasn’t a whole lot that they were able to do about it.
Energeist sent a wave of plasma at Fermata, trying to buy enough time to stand back up and try to garner some sort of offense. However, as he stood, he felt a laser blast pierce his body, leaving him in a strange state. He had been deleted before, and he could tell that it was happening again. However…there was something different. There was a change in his code somewhere. The Darkchips that he used had modified him, the remnant pieces of data that made up his being. He didn’t know how they had, or how he hadn’t noticed it…but something had changed.
The toxic clouds from Xyzillentz, which had been driving his systems mad, didn’t seem to have as much of an effect. He was aware that Commando and Fermata were firing at him, shooting blasts of sound and bullets at his frame…but they didn’t seem to matter. They didn’t hurt anymore. A look down at his body made him realize that he was…transparent. He could see through his own hand easily, and looking down, he had no issue in seeing through his body, either. ”What…? What is this?” he asked aloud, but there was no one around to answer him. Fermata released a large wave of sound, and while it didn’t hurt, it did force him back a couple of steps.
Energeist looked over at Xyzillentz, who looked to have just taken the axe blow from Utgar. With a growl, he released a wave of the flame-like plasma at the Viking, trying to buy his ally some time.
“It seems our attacks are not working…we may need a new strategy,” Commando murmured, after watching none of his attacks have any lasting effect on the Plasma Phantom.

Xyzillentz was knocked back by the strike of the axe, but his legs were long enough to retaliate. He kicked the viking as hard as he could, pushing him away and creating some space between them. Back up on the hill, Fermata watched events unfold. He heard Commando pointing out that attacking the phantom navi wasn't working. Better one than neither, he thought, turning back and taking aim at Xyz.
Instead of a low-frequency bass blast, Fermata unleashed a high-pitched screech aimed like a laser blast at its victim. The struggling Darkloid felt its impact hit hard and tumbled to the ground. As he stood back up, he felt his mind clouding. It was hard to remember specific events or details... he couldn't focus in on one thought... he was thoroughly confused and disoriented. The high-frequency sound had rattled and disrupted his programming, interfering with his thought process.
Frenzied and enraged, but hopelessly confounded, Xyzillentz unhinged his jaw and pointed his gaping mouth at Fermata. He called forth his burning, vile, acidic breath from within him...
The corrosive substance burnt through his inner workings through the holes and breaches that his injuries had torn in his protective coding. He panicked and tried to stop the flow of burning stench, but it was too late. It dissolved the data that facilitated his vital functions. He tried to scream in pain, but there was no sound but the faint sizzle of his own attack eating away his vocal chords.
But then something strange happened... an evil energy surged through him, filling in the holes that had been torn through his body and repairing his systems. His mind cleared instantly as his dark-grey suit turned blacker than an underground midnight, the green scales on his head changing to match. He felt strength... pure, evil might. He knew at once this must be his DarkSoul.
He grinned evilly, examining his new form. "Perfect... two of the sexiest things in the world. Black, and total power. I like it."
Fermata sent out a bass beat at the newly-transformed navi, but Xyz didn't feel a thing. It was glorious... until the annoying little viking navi slammed the axe into his back again. THAT hurt.
"DarkSouls... I'll need to be careful. I've only got two chances to hurt them." Commando mumbled to himself as he let off a rifle blast, energized with an unstoppable energy. It pierced right through the protection Xyz' DarkSoul granted him, impacting dead-center on his chest.
Xyz didn't understand. How were they hurting him? From what he'd heard about DarkSoul, he was supposed to be nearly invincible in this state. But he could feel that these attacks had already caused him a fair deal of damage.
No matter... he was still stronger than usual. Stronger than these fools for sure. He ran up to the masked gunman and lashed out his toxic tongue. It made contact with his vest... but something was wrong. His opponent didn't seem injured, and his venom wasn't seeping through the fabric. He tried again, to no avail. Why the hell couldn't he hurt him? Every second, the rage inside of Xyzillentz grew...

Energeist, lost in his newfound power, didn’t notice at first as Xyzillentz took a few strikes from the barbarian/Viking, and a shot from the sniper. However, there was a rush of energy from the Plasma Phantom as he began to realize the true ability that was now bestowed upon him. The plasma was building within him, and he had to release it, he knew he had to or else it was going to destroy him from the inside out. He grinned then, a wicked grin of murderous intent as he turned his gaze onto the berserker, who was looking to be ready to launch another few attacks at Xyzllientz. The sickening grin on Energeist’s face widened, and his eyes blazed with excitement of the thought of the kill.
The Viking gave a bellow, one that seemed to do virtually nothing to the two warriors who had been on their last legs moments ago. Yet now it seemed that both of them were up and going…and completely not responding to most of the attacks that they were launching at them. The lizard-headed one seemed to take some damage from his attacks…but Commando’s shot had nearly knocked him on his arse. And Utgar, genius that he was, had no idea why. ”Time to die you punk!” the male roared out as he charged forward, holding the axe with two hands, headed right at Xyzillentz.
That was when he sensed energy coming at him from his right. He dropped the axe, pulling out his shield as he turned, the attack slamming into the shield. It pushed him back a few steps, but the shield survived…at least for this attack.
Energeist let out a howl of rage and laughter as he saw the Viking stop in his tracks. ”Come on then! Are you just going to defend?” he roared out, eyes alight with excitement as he launched another burst of raw plasma at the Viking. The shield blocked the attack again, but it was quickly melting through the defensive metal, becoming too hot to handle for the Viking. Utgar grunted as a third attack slammed into his shield, burning far past the proximity of the shield as it burned the rest of it away, the excess searing through him.
”Time to DIE!” Energeist roared out as he created a large sphere of energy before releasing it directly at the now defenseless Viking. It was coming too quickly; there was no way to dodge. He cried out in fear as the plasma approached, though there was nothing to be done as the energy burned through the viking’s body, the data dissolving as it struck the parts of him. ”Yes! YES! DIE DIE DIE!” Energiest roared as the Viking was deleted, the remnant pieces of his data floating away on the wind.
”Utgar!” Fermata roared out, the words flying outward from the speaker embedded on his chest before he turned his attention to Energeist. ”You bastard!” he yelled, fury evident in his voice as he began to launch several waves of sound at Energeist, trying to do something to delete him. However, the attacks merely moved through the Plasma Phantom, more annoying than damaging.
Energeist’s eyes flashed as he regarded the ice and sound Navi, the plasma already beginning to build in his hand. ”Bastard, am I? While true I have no father, it seems quite discourteous to refer to me as such… Energeist spoke, the words resonating from his body before another voice picked up, the shrill, mostly psychotic one that seemed to surface during attacks. ”Can I kill him now? KILL HIM DEAD!?” the voice asked itself before the calmer one responded, informing that he could, indeed, kill Fermata.
With a wild grin and another cackle, Energeist launched several attacks at Fermata. However, the speedy Navi darted around to the side of the spheres of raw plasma, evading them as best he could, trying to stay alive. ”Quit dodging you maggot! DIE LIKE THE GARBAGE YOU ARE!” he roared out, trying to, on one hand, delete this navi, but on the other hand, he was trying to cut Xyzillentz some slack, and keep the fight down to a pair of one-on-one’s…though he was almost certain the snake-headed Navi preferred group activities.

"I don't have time to fool around with you."
Now was the time. The Dark Soul had restored all his protective coating... the gas mask was coming off. Xyzillentz unhinged his jaw once more, and the acidic stench shot toward Commando in a powerful, pungent burst. It flowed into the filters and dissolved them, even as the exterior surface melted away.
The straps holding what was left of the mask onto his face gave way, and Commando's mask was gone. He coughed, his reflexes reacting to the foul smell and burning sensation in his mouth. Xyzillentz smirked and laughed. He grabbed his opponent's head, holding it in place. "You should've taken it off sooner. You have a pretty face.". If there was sincerity in this statement, it was lost under the thick layer of malice and contempt that coated each and every word.
Suddenly, Xyzillentz pulled Commando's face in to meet his own. He slammed the sharpshooter's lips onto his, snaking his long, deadly tongue into the mouth of his adversary. The kiss was deep and long as Commando struggled to escape. He pounded Xyzillentz' body with his elbows, not wanting to waste his last piercing shot while he couldn't see to aim. He tried to push Xyz' tongue out with his own, but the prehensile appendage of his attacker was too fast. It constricted Commando's tongue like a python squeezing the life out of its prey.
Toxic fluid began to seep from the intruding tongue, being absorbed into Commando's code. He felt weakened... tired... the toxin was beginning to shut him down. Soon he was too weak to struggle any longer. Once he stopped moving, Xyz reeled his tongue back in and tossed Commando to the ground. He rolled along for a few feet, unable to stop himself.
Xyz stood tall over him and gloated, a sinister, satisfied smirk on his face. He spoke in a mockingly sweet tone. "My first kiss. How very special! I'll remember it forever, dear..." His voice grew deeper as he relished every word that rolled out of his mouth like a sumptuous delicacy. "...but the memory will be so much sweeter supplemented with your screams of agony as your code falls to pieces bit by bit and you begin to wish you were never programmed just to avoid those agonizing moments of hellish torment!" The thought of his enemy's suffering was like a drug, throwing his mind into a euphoric hyperdrive. He licked his lips in anticipation, coating his dark scales with the same toxin that was wreaking havoc inside of Commando.
Unfortunately for the darkloid, Fermata caught a glimpse of what was transpiring. He rolled to the side, dodging another attack from Energeist, and summoned a gust of icy, freezing wind. Xyz felt a sudden chill, and within an instant, he was frozen solid in a coating of ice. He couldn't break free. He couldn't move. His white-hot rage escalated until it alone felt as though it would melt the reptile's cold prison... but the ice held.
Seeing an opportunity, the barely-functional sniper crawled to his feet. He walked over to his frozen foe and placed the barrel of his rifle right on Xyzillentz' frigid face. He infused the last of his piercing power into the weapon and pulled the trigger.
The ice shattered, and Xyzillentz flew backwards. He hit the ground twitching, glitches and errors running rampant in his now devastated code. Although he had been freed, he could barely move. His limbs spasmed uncontrollably, making his own attempts at motor control largely futile. But he could think... and all he was thinking about was how unfair it was. He was so close to victory. He had the power. He had the drive and the opportunity. He should've won. That bastard should have been his. But the icy navi, his friend and partner, had saved him.
And what was his partner doing? Where had he been when Fermata blasted him? Why hadn't they worked together more closely, in tandem, covering each other? If only they'd thought it out more carefully. If only they'd planned... if only they'd realized their opponents' strengths and strategized. If only, if only, if only!
But there was still a chance. The phantom could save him. He would kill Fermata, and he would disarm Commando. As soon as Xyzillentz could move again, he'd have his prize. And he would make the gunman suffer like no one had before. That's what he told himself. That's what he had to believe.

Energeist took a step back, panting as he launched another bolt of Plasma at Fermata, the sound navi managing to avoid this one as well. The Plasma Phantom panted, feeling the unending energy that he’d been feeling a moment before slowly beginning to fade from him. It was like his body was a receptacle of water, and down near the bottom there was a drain plug…and someone had gotten smart enough to remove it. The water had drained out of him slowly, and he could feel his body becoming more solid as the power drained away from him. Energeist couldn’t quite explain what was going on, and he had no basis to fall back on as he wasn’t entirely certain what had happened to begin with. Yet…he had a sneaking suspicion that this power that he had gained was limited on time. It made sense, given that the corrupted data that lingered within him couldn’t remain in control for too long, lest it destroy him in its entirety.
He took a step backwards, frowning as his body returned to a somewhat solid state. Still, he had some energy remaining, though the amount was very little. He felt completely drained of energy, now, like a puppet with its strings cut. But Energeist, as had been proven time, and time again, was not one willing to take things lying down. But now that the virtually euphoric sensation had died away from him, the tunnel vision he’d adopted in terms of his targets began to fall away as well, and he became quite aware of Xyzillentz’ predicament, now lying on the ground a short distance from the two other Navi. What had happened? Did he place too much faith in the other? The Plasma Phantom let out a sound that sounded very similar to concern as he took a step forward towards his fallen ally.
”Not so fast!” Fermata roared out, firing a blast of frost at Energeist before following up with a sonic attack, aimed right at the recuperating monster. Much like Xyzillentz, Energeist wasn’t able to dodge all that well, and the resulting effort knocked him right down. He gave a curse as he landed, but didn’t even try to rest as he began to push himself, trying to get back up to his feet. Fermata darted forward, channeling another wave of sound when the Plasma Phantom fired a massive wave of plasma…from his back. Fermata, who had been too busy trying to delete the ghost-like navi, didn’t even see the attack coming as it obliterated him.
“Fermata! darn you two!” Commando growled, having realized that their strategy wasn’t really working…especially considering that both of his allies were now deleted. That left him alone against the both of them…and while they were both wounded, he really wasn’t doing all that well either. His eyes surveyed the battlefield, seeing that of the two, the concentrated fire had done more damage to Xyzillentz than it had to Energeist, which meant that the sniper navi should attempt to delete him first, the dark cloud that surrounded the darkloid hadn’t faded, and the sniper was out of his well-aimed shots. That…and Energeist was already back up on his feet. “Tch…” he grunted, before leveling the laser rifle at the Phantom.
Energeist saw the cannon being aimed at him, and let out a roar of defiance. ”You think that your puny gun can stop me!?” he roared out, and even as Commando fired the laser at him, the Plasma Phantom released a piercing line of plasma. The laser caught Energeist in the shoulder, knocking him down to the ground again, but the blast from the plasma virtually disintegrated the rifle, leaving it nothing more than useless data. ”You…you…maggot!” Energeist screamed as he forced himself back up to his feet again, a wild, uncontrollable fire in his eye before he stumbled and fell, panting. He was so close to deleting the sniper…he couldn’t give up now.
