Welcome one, welcome all,
listen to me as I call.
This tale begins like any other,
about a boy who found one whom should be his brother.
The one who was lost,
he fought hard and fast
to live, to survive
like prey in the hive.
Chapter One: The Test
It had been three, no, four, hours since he had been navinapped. He couldn't recall anything. Slowly he opened his eyes to a strange world; lights whirring and spinning in front of him against a pitch-black background. Trying to rise, he collapsed on the ground, his right leg immobile in pain. "Where...where am I?" He slowly asked himself. In an instant, a gruff voice called out to him. "Gyro, you're home." Naturally, the confused navi pipped up, "What? Who's Gyro? Where's Tom?" The confused navi looked wildly around at the same thing- lights.
"His memory's coming back. Shock him," that same voice commanded. An electric current pulsated through Gyro. Screaming in agony, Gyro's vision started to cloud, and he blacked out. Coming to several hours later, this process repeated until nearly all memory of his past was erased. Nearly. Gyro looked up and assessed his surroundings. His vision cleared, he understood the sight set before him. He was in a circular dome, dotted with shining dots. Gyro looked to the top of the dome, calling out. "All right. Enough. Who are you?" The gruff voice that has become so familiar to Gyro answered him, "Prove yourself, and you will see."
Instantly, doors popped open from the down and let loose four figures. Sprinting at him, the navis drew wicked blades and whips. Gyro rolled around, dodging swipes and slashes, while throwing punches left and right. Eventually he felled a navi, and Gyro took control of his sword. With a new weapon, Gyro made quick work of the others. He then left through one of the dark doors.
Chapter Two: The Poriji
Gyro walked down the length of a long hallway, traveling under spacious lights on a tiled floor. There were no doors except for one- a single solid wood door at the end of the hall. Testing it, Gyro found the door locked. "Hrmph." Gyro took one small step back and placed his foot squarely on the door. Bringing it back, Gyro shoved his foot forward, shoving the door down in one solid piece. Gyro strode into a large square room with navis around a cluttered table. One large looking navi made eye contact and rose. Gyro prepared to fight this monster when a voice commanded, "Stand down, Koriza." The large navi took his place on the broken chair.
Gyro looked hard at the group when a popup box depicting a hard-faced, ominous-looking young man appeared. "So, Gyro. You've proven yourself. It looks like you're ready to undergo training to join us. Follow the path," the box disappeared, but certain tiles eminated a soft blue glow and lead to another door. Gyro looked uncertain until Koriza uttered one command, "Go!" Turning, Gyro took a swift, purposeful walk down the path and through the door, continuing up a flight of stairs and into one more large, spacious room with a large machine at the far corner. Gyro moved towards it and turned it on.
A soft white light shone, and then it cut to the young man's face whom Gyro had seen earlier. "Well Gyro. It's time for your initiation into the Poriji. Best gang in the world. You'll be our best asset. Congradulations." Gyro looked wildly around, and before he knew it, a tube had enveloped around him. A stream of data forced itself into his body. The data mainly comprised of the Poriji- how it was a small gang that could pull off great schemes and escape without the slightest trace. Gyro was then shot upward into a small circular room with a mirror. Gyro took his first look at himself since the abduction. Tight red spandex shirt with grey pants and metal boots and gloves. Mangled brown hair. "Have to fix that later," Gyro murmured to himself. A voice cut on surrounding him, informing him of his first mission- standard robbery. Gyro was transported outside the confusing building and dumped on an old alleyway in the net. And thus, his gang life began.
