Gravity Beetle gives little aknowledgement to HeatMan's questions, as they're questions that he'd like an answer to as well, but he does give an answer to the last question with a shake of his head.
Gravity Beetle, ONB Commander. I'm as curious about all of this as you are.

Mildly surprised to see ONB Commander appear alongside the rest of his comrades, Rev only then realized the potential error of announcing where he was leaving to...but for now it didn't seem like such a bad move.
Noticing the glances and such,Rev decided that he too would wait for things to be explained to both the light-shaped navi and Gravity Beetle.

Fulgur watches the events go down, hoping things stay peaceful.Seeing the others arrive, he smiles happily, relieved. Good, they were safe...Blinking as Kidd says he's going somewhere for a week and elects Des as the leader, the young navi nods.
Then Gravity Beetle appears again."U-uhm...thank you, sir, for h-helping us out back there..."As the fiery navi and Gravity both ask what's going on, he withdraws, content to let his new leader take the spotlight.

Right, looks like everyone was here. Even the ONB commander from earlier had shown up. Some explaining seemed to be in order, and some questions as well. Desperado considered apologies to Gravity Beetle, but figured it better to keep to the matter at hand then dawdle around looking for forgiveness. The time was dire, he was only doing what he felt he needed to. Kidd leaving was unfortunate, but it would be a lie to say Desperado saw him as entirely capable of leading.
"Left you say? How unfortunate... But onto business."
Desperado turned first to Gravity Beetle, may as well get introductions out of the way so they can move on to more important matters.
"Firstly an introduction, I am Desperado, leader of the International Navi Defense Force. Formed in response to ONB inactivity in an attempt to protect those who cannot protect themselves. It was our impression that the ONB was mostly shut down, though the reason was unknown. Your facilities inactive, we were able to establish a base of operations after refurbishing your deteriorating Sharo base. Unfortunately we had not expected Gate, as we were still making preparations. In hindsight it was short sighted, but we did what we could.
Gate caught us off guard, isolated the network, then set to obliterate it, though the actual reason I can't say. He could have easily had us dealt with never to return, so he must not see us very threatening or he needed it for something. You showed up in the aftermath, as you guessed at the time.
He wanted a navi that was set in the network, one Static, apparently related to Juno in some way. He was looking for some strange data, potentially still hidden away somewhere in that network."
Desperado then turned back to the rest of the group, addressing them all at once.
"Now we are faced with a new problem. Gate has put us on the defensive with no base of operations, seemingly the same that was done to the ONB considering he's likely operating from New Life and the other outposts are mostly compromised to my knowledge. I don't know what he's up to, but I can't help but dread it somehow. Either way, we can't mount a reaction to him until we have a more fortified and strategic position."
Desperado turned back to Beetle once more, he answered the questions asked to him, now he had a few back to the ONB Commander.
"We still are an organization, so I obviously wouldn't be telling you so much of our status if I didn't think we were so backed into a corner or if I didn't think you were at least a potential ally. Still I have to ask, if the ONB is against Gate, how much is left?"

Well, to say the very least that covered pretty much everything all at once. Gravity Beetle's face remains blank with his eyes slightly wide as he gets his answer, more accustomed to "ONB IS BAD I DONT HAVE TO TALK WITH YOU" style answers by this point in time. Not that he could particularly blame those with that opinion, as he'd move on to share.
Gravity Beetle: First; thank you. I appreciate the information. Second; to my knowledge, I'm just about it. When Gate took over New Life a while back, every other ONB commander seemed to fall off the face of the earth
Gravity Beetle folds his arms, an irritated expression playing on his face as he does so.
Gravity Beetle: I've pretty much been doing my best to put out the fires as I find them, and when I saw the Sharo network disappearing and reappearing like that I figured that there had to be a fire there. Seems I was right. Literally.
Gravity Beetle then glances over toward the ONB network to see little more than a pillar of smoke. He can't help but think that taking over ONB property was an illegal and serious move, but doesn't even entertain the thought for any serious length of time. With all that's happening, anyone attempting to work for the greater good should be supported, not reprimanded for something that really doesn't matter. And speaking of.....
Gravity Beetle: So what's your plan now?

“Nothing like a crook to get my body burning up!” __________________________________________________
"Hahaa!~ Well I know what I am doing!~"
The box-shaped NetNavi pounded the ground as he tossed himself forward. With a scheming look on his face, nearly default with his sinister form and design, HeatMan raised his burning gauntlets to eye level while his fingers curled into a fist. "I have a very big interest in this Gate person and his horde of baddies that had you guys on the backburner! I may have personal stake in this matter because the situation sounds explosive, but I will leave that to you and your group! You all seem like you have a capable leader."
It was half complimentary and, in some form, half-insulting as HeatMan still had his uncertainties about the group. It was not his job or speciality to access situations, but he was a very good fighter and he would hold true to that with his burning element.
"I just want to give chase to you and your group for now. I think I will run into a decent piece of data for kindling. It's been yearss since I, myself, have had a burning desire to do more than just sit on the sideline. I could do my burning spirit well by this. Life has not been as challenging simply just teaching a bunch of students and assisting my apprentice." HeatMan's brow furrowed. His mind was raging at the thought of actualy feeling a life and death battle again, rather than some Netbattle with the safety net to catch him. His hands pressed flat against the terrain to turn his body to face the massive beetle and the leader of the ragtag group of NetNavis.
"I take it you both want to pursue, Gate for the greater good? Then do not mind me. I won't stand in the way of your operation. I just want to burn some time! Heh-heh!~"

Desperado couldn't really be sure if it was for the "Greater good" or anything noble or righteous like that, but it was for the good of the world that the INDF was founded. At this moment, it seemed as if Gate was a threat to that. His methods forceful and questionable, constantly remaining a mystery, and pushing out those who would normally be there to keep the people safe.
"Next?... Hmm... Well our first course of action should be to establish a new base. New Life is a fortress and Gate seems to be centralized there. We won't do well for using guerrilla tactics nor do we have the manpower for something like that. So we need to find a place that we can establish far enough outside Gate's reach that we can perform without much threat of attack. You are a Commander after all, surely you know the ONB's weak points and could help us find a location. Such information would be greatly appreciated if you can provide us with it. Otherwise I have an idea of a location that could work, but might require some exceptional terraforming to work."
Desperado looked over to Heatman, smiling lightly at his strange way of speaking. It was hard to tell exactly if he was offering his help or not, but whatever it was it seemed warm hearted.
"We'd be glad to have whatever help you'd be willing to provide. I do expect a great battle on the horizon, and it would be wonderful to have you on our side even if you don't feel like the INDF is right for you. At least when the time is right, I'd hope to see your flames beneath our wings."

Gravity Beetle thinks for a moment, considering the situation as a whole. This was a world that really needed more Navis willing to work for the greater good, and Desperado's demeanor and explanation seem genuine enough. Perhaps....
Gravity Beetle: No offense, but squatting abandoned networks probably won't get you where you need to be any time soon. You're going to need something a bit more stable, and I think that I know just the guy to help...
Gravity Beetle opens up a link via his wrist-com and brings up a window. The screen remains nothing but static for several moments until at last the sound of a feminine voice comes across and the image of a human woman with an obvious business-like professionalism begins staring back.
?: Sulpher Industries; this is the President's office. To whom am I speaking?
Gravity Beetle stands at attention at this voice, speaking with a far more gentle and respectful tone than he had just moments before.
Gravity Beetle: Gravity Beetle, ONB air-fleet commander, ma'am. I'm calling on official business and would greatly appreciate a moment of the president's time, but if he is occupied then I can call back at his convenience. Assuming he's willing, that is.
Gravity Beetle seems a bit less in-control by this point in the conversation, even a bit intimidated by the human woman at the other end. However, she simply takes it in stride and checks another window, nodding as she does so.
Secretary: One moment please, I'll patch you through.
Gravity Beetle lets out a sigh of relief, regaining his normal baring as he looks back to Desperado.
Gravity Beetle: I assume that you've heard of FreezeMan, the owner of Element City among many other networks and business enterprises? Well, this man is his current operator; the president of Sulpher Industries. He's been a long-time supporter and financier of the ONB as well as many other net-improvement and law-enforcement facilities over the years. Please treat him with respect for both our sakes.
Gravity Beetle turns back to the screen and waits. Desperado seemed like a smart enough Navi, but contacting someone this high up on the social ladder was always somewhat unnerving. Fortunately, a response doesn't take long. The screen flickers and the smiling face of an older gentleman peers out from behind a well-groomed, gray beard. In spite of his age, he seems to be fairly well built and strong, with a clarity in his eyes that men in their 20s would envy.
?: Commander Beetle! It's wonderful to hear from you, how have you been, and how goes your crusade to restore peace?
Gravity Beetle stands at attention, but seems somewhat more relaxed than he had with the secretary.
Gravity Beetle: Please forgive the sudden call sir, I know that you are a busy man and I appreciate your time. I am well, thank you for asking. Work is slow and somewhat difficult given my lack of support. And how have you been, sir?
The older gentleman smiles brightly, fiddling with the folded collar of his maroon overcoat for a moment before he continues
?: Think nothing of it, I'm always happy to hear from ONB command. Things have been well for me, all things considered. FreezeMan reports general quiet in his area of the net, so that's always a relief. Now tell me; how can I help you today?
Right to the point, as always. Gravity Beetle takes a deep breath and motions to Desparado, turning the window toward him as he does so.
Gravity Beetle: Mr. Von Bluecher, please allow me to introduce Desperado.EXE, leader of the INDF.
The gentleman, now known to be named Von Bluecher, strokes his beard once with a smile before he continues, almost raising a hand to shake instinctively, but catching himself a moment before he does so.
Von Bluecher: It's a pleasure to meet you, Commander Desperado. My name is Verner Bon Bluecher, and I am something of a backer to the ONB and other net-peace organizations. I've heard a bit about your organization, would you kindly share your vision with me?
Von Bluecher sits with a beaming smile, obviously happy to meet Desparado, and obviously intent to hear the commander's response. Suddenly the entire reason for this meeting seems entirely lost, as any meeting of this nature is reason enough for a friendly call.

Commander was not a title he was used to, and frankly talking to a human of such high social standing was a little intimidating. On the net Navis could do impressive things, but they were still navigators to the humans. A knowledgeable enough human could do some seriously powerful things given the right resources, not a force to be taken lightly.
"I'd be happy to Mr. Bluecher.
Over the years the net has not become any safer for the average navi. Specifically with a rise of independent navigators, those without operators, protecting those who cannot protect themselves has become increasingly important. The ONB previously has been enough to quell all but the most dire of issues. However with a rapidly expanding network framework and Net population, coupled with a number of major threats appearing over the years, it is my belief that the ONB, however capable they may be, cannot possibly keep up with the increasing demand for Netwide security. Especially in light of recent developments. Thus, my vision, as you would put it, is a group that serves as an independent force for reactive protection against the multitude of high risk threats appearing in the net at a rapid pace, complimenting the ONB's primarily proactive policies. The International Navi Defense Force. Though we are in our youth now, I believe we can quickly grow to efficiently deal with major threats as they appear to make the network a safer place for everyone.
At least, that's how I've imagined it, especially in light of the knowledge that the ONB, or what's left of it, is still acting in the best interests of the network and the world.
Such formality had become a necessary thing for Desperado, and while part of him felt it was right, another felt it strange. Still he had formed a companionship with these navis who now fell under his wing. Kidd had passed the torch, Desperado was in no position to let it burn out.

Von Bluecher listened with an intent smile, analyzing every word from Desperado as he explains the situation. The gentleman philanthropist had always been one to like the good of Navi kind, and the Navi before him was no exception to that rule.
Von Bluecher: Ah, I see. Thank you very much for sharing this with me, Commander Desperado. However, given your story, it seems that if you stay on this course then you're going to have to change your name soon.
Von Bluecher laughs joyously, lightening the mood and making his good-nature apparent.
Von Bluecher: In all seriousness, commander; you have an admirable goal. It's one that I can agree with and wish nothing but the best for. And while I am happy to meet you and hope to meet what I assume to be your team in a moment...
Von Bluecher's gaze slips past Desperado and to the other Navis in the area for a moment.
Von Bluecher: ...it's fairly obvious that Commander Beetle had more reason than a simple chat for this call.
Gravity Beetle just shrugs at this comment. No point in denying it.
Von Bluecher gives a wry, knowing look to Gravity Beetle before returning his gaze to Desperado.
Von Bluecher: Now, before our armored friend can blurt out what's on his mind, is there something in particular that your group needs in order to better succeed in your mission?

Fulgur smiles at Heatman who seems to offer his assistance."Y-yes....thank y-you, S-sir...." Then events continued. At the sight of a human, Fulgur feels excitement. Yes,yes, they look rather like us, but it was the simple fact that they lived in another place, another world, entirely!! Thus, it was always exciting.
Thankfully, the only betrayal of his excitement was a slight waving of his cloak as he shifted from foot to foot. Then a elderly human appears in the screen, asking the purpose of the group. As Des explains, he nods, eyes gleaming with agreement and determination.

"Heh? Ahahahaa!~"
Flames beneath their wings? Being addressed as "Sir?" It made HeatMan laugh...
"Now you're speaking my language!~" HeatMan bellowed, "Although no need to be so formal to a hothead like me! Like I said, I just want to burn some time by burning some obstacles in your way! It's not very different from how I spent my freetime." HeatMan's address was more to Fulgur than it was to Desperado at this point seeing as he was busy. The fiery NetNavi very well had his answer from the confident leader. The personality was the equivalent to charming when he head Desperado. There was nothing like a Navi with a drive that he could relate to. He knew crazy causes and lack of logic than the most of them.
"Be that as it may, I am still not use to gratitude. For a NetNavi like me that is spending time giving a lecture, I am not use to that til' years down the line. I just expect you to take some pointers from someone who knows how to heat things up during battle!" The fiery NetNavi held up his flaming gauntlets. Presenting them to Fulgur in an expressive manner. "There's nothing more interesting than someone saying that my flames are not hot enough for some canon fodder! I need to see it for myself. When time comes, I may even have to stick around. It's not everyday I find a NetNavi who gets themselves into some hot water like in the past!"
HeatMan chuckled once again. His flames were burning a little more intensely, reflecting some of his excitement.

Desperado chuckled politely. A name change is easy enough with this data bit, and perhaps it would be in order, despite the potential at it being simply a little joke. Very well, cutting right to the point it was then.
It was strange perhaps that their group was smaller than Desperado remembered it, but for his purposes they only needed to be a strike force. Too many would cause too much damage, though they could cover more ground perhaps..
"Right to the point I see, fair enough. Recent events has lead our group without a base of operations. What's more, the potential threat of Gate as well as looming threat of Juno has created a need for this group to be ready to move at a moment's notice. What we need is a network of our own, hopefully one outside of the influence of Juno and Gate, an encrypted entrance if you will, but with easy access to other networks as to deploy response units as quickly as possible.
A difficult prospect I am aware, but whatever you can help us with along those lines would be wonderful. As well, with whatever facilities you provide us, we would be willing to help the active members of the ONB as much as we can given their current disjointed state."
Perhaps it was too much to ask, but Beetle thought he would be able to help, so no loss in shooting for the sky. He probably could have looked for even more, like advertisement for recruiting or even personnel programs, but Desperado was pretty confident he could find the right people for that... Also they needed to rid everyone of those badge programs, at least for now they would.
"Which reminds me..."
Desperado turns his side to Von Bluecher, addressing his men, Fulgur, Rosario, and Revved. Bringing his hand to his shoulder where his program was stored on his body. A wave of his hand and the small glowing block was extracted, he held it in his hand before both Von Bluecher and his troops.
"As many of you are likely aware, these programs were made while our previous base was connected with New Life. To prevent any potential surveillance, it would be best for everyone to remove and destroy these programs. I can assure you however, a new one will be created shortly, so fret not."
His would be speech to his men ended with him crushing the program into mere fragments of data which spread around him and infused with the air, repurposed as data often does when. Turning back to Von Bluecher, Desperado smirked, he wouldn't have Gate getting any real data on them, so best to make sure they're removed before any additional conversations took place.
"Sorry about that, didn't want anyone getting the upper hand on us again, I'm sure you understand."

Fulgur blinks as Heatman laughs, saying there's no need to be so formal. The young navi smiles, nodding back."U-uhm....OK..What do you w-wish for me to call you, s-Mr.?"
Tilting his head as the fiery navi presents his gauntlets, Ful nods."I'll do my b-best to learn from y-you." Then Des commands them to destroy the badge programs. Nodding, he extracts and crushes it with a sigh. That'd been his first official badge..Shrugging, the boy waits for further instructions.

That was an interesting display...
HeatMan was not sure why the badges were destroyed as he looked on. Obliviousness was not a stranger to him, and if anything was one of his best friends. He did not look too much into information. It got into the way of what he liked to do. With his eyes simply glancing towards Fulgur during the display, he chuckled once again realizing the NetNavi made a wonderful point about the way to address him.
"Ha! That's right! You don't know me!" he laughed aloud. It was a common mistake he made, especially in front of a Cyber Board in the classroom, "I am HeatMan! One of the most hottest Fire-Based programs you will ever meet! I am no stranger to the Network or battle! I have spent time being operated by many hands for a hot minute! It allows their hearts to gain a spark for the style of combat using a fire-based program. I must admit, it was a good experience! My eyes have seen so many different styles, cultures, and locations from whence they came. I've picked up a thing or two from my travels!"
HeatMan shown an intense passion in his eyes just talking about his work. He could not help but to notice it as he spoke. Memories flashed through the many locations he traveled. Wood-based locations were even something he was fond of now as he shown restraint for burning the closest tree. Howevver, there were things that were hard to douse, like his insatiable appetite for getting the opportunity to incenerate an opposition.
