*The knife that the clown had tossed had been lost inside of the darkness. Xion noted it, but it was far from being his present concern. He heard the explosions, insinuating that Nidhiki had limped off and the clown had pursued him instead. More and more noise... that was why he was going to execute those guys. He couldn't have a conversation when everyone else made too much noise. And all that noise did was annoy him when it was unwarranted. That last noise was the last straw. He was going to terminate them if they were still around by the time he finished up here. Resonance's shield... it caused some backlash effect after each attack. That actually worked in his favor as it would happen, an incredibly dark look in his eyes then.*
"So here we are! Now then... what exactly happened at that other network? The nature of that message was sent all over, so seeing you here has to imply that you were there when everything got set off. Just as always."
*It was fairly close to being untamed and unleashed still. Without inhibitions. Xion's body looked to be vibrating even, almost as if he were waiting for Resonance to make a move before attacking again. That or he was preparing an attack to blast the cave that they were in as a whole to bypass the whole targeting thing. It happened to be a family habit of theirs to just blast everything after all. He just was trying to hold off on it for just a bit longer. Just to see if Resonance would answer him or not.*
*...But why Xion had seemed so pleased to take the damage before would be painfully clear for some others soon. At the passage that had been blocked off by Nidhiki to escape from the clown, Xion stood as he appeared out of the edge of the darkness at some point during the time Resonance was defending himself. Looked like this had been part of the noise after all. The debris had been blown up as it would happen, but another energy had been sent here too. His advance was brisk and steady, unconcerned with what it might be. He would just plow through it too if it decided to make more noise.*

Nidhiki rolled his eyes. 'And he can somehow read my mind. Faannnntastic.' Well, even if he didn't trust the unknown navi, he was sure as hell going to abuse the firepower.
A list of images were immediately sent to him, each identifying a status for them. Xion and Fasilli were identified as hostile, while Noal and Src were identified as friendly. However, Quo was the sole navi marked as neutral.
Nidhiki didn't know what to label Quo. On one hand, his presence here was pretty good evidence, considering he was there in Shell when the 100 points were given to him. However, he had only tried to stop him from activating the gem. He hadn't attacked him, and even now, his attention was elsewhere.
But still... why was Noal here?
Quo could hear the fighting from within, and footsteps heading towards him. Who WAS in the cave? He wanted to go investigate, but even this far away, the amount of power coming from within was enough to cause a chill to run down his spine. 'This may be a runaway situation...'

Xeel A thin bolt of white light accented with jagged yellow streaks pierced the already chaotic air of the battlefield and struck down between Nidhiki and Xion. A slender female navi with dark red hair that dips halfway down her neck. Her ash grey vest fluttered in the frigid air but her stance remained cocky but ready against the cold.
When I heard someone had top honors in this contest I thought they would have been strong. Xeel gestured with one arm to the battlefield around her. While at the same time making note of every navi in the area minus Longimus and Xion(facing the wrong way!). Looks like you're not. her statements calm, but serious tone, were reflected in her next action as she brandished three kunai with one arm and a grenade with the other.
The assassin whipped the grenade at her feet, instantly causing a massive cloud of electricity to envelope the surrounding area while she herself vanished from sight only to reappear behind Nidhiki and jam the kunai into his back before flashing a mere 10ft away, upside down in the air, already in a whipping an orb of raw energy at Noel and S.R.C to dissuade them from even attempting to get involved.
From there she vanished again appearing in a crouched position nearby, finally noticing Xion and somewhat surprised she hadn't noticed him prior. Step off.

As soon as the images appeared, Longinus's site marked these enemies with red arrows, and the cannon began to charge again. He selected a large circular region that would cross by the enemies, but leave the friends safe. He steadied himself once more, the power in his charge rising to a peak as the ground trembled beneath him....
KAFOOM-CRASH!
Firing once more, the side of the mountain exploded as Fasilli and Xion would face the incredble bolt of energy blasting a clean hole through where they were. However, Longinus's selection toward the foes was short-sighted: The mountain had enough. After the blast dissappated, it was clear that the multiple holes that Longinus had sent into the side of the cave were starting a chain reaction, some sort of avalanche and rock slide as the side of the mountain began to give away. The cave wasn't just collapsing, it was being swallowed alive.
It was then that Longinus saw the arrival of Xeel. He scanned the enemy for a version number, and then immediately began to send a new message, a jolt of fear springing up inside him. The situation just got much, much worse. A Version 14 navi, an avalanche, and foes closing in on all sides.... Longinus could fight of 4-5 V1 or V2 navis to keep Nidhiki safe, but something that powerful was out of his hands.
Longinus sent another message to Nidhiki, this time reciprocating it to Noal and Src now.
And immediately after sending, that's when Longinus noticed, indeed, that that is exactly what Xeel had begun to do to Nidhiki. Longinus swore at his bad timing, as his vision of the battlefield started becoming obscured by the rock slide. He started to charge up another shot, but it was uncertain if it was even worth trying to save Nidhiki anymore, he might be better off retreating entirely, because it's likely that once Xeel comes under fire, she'll swat Longinus into oblivion out of annoyance.
It was possible he could get Src and Noal out, but Nidhiki seemed like a lost cause now.

*Today was just full of surprises, wasn't it? The blast fired off from before and he got to identify who was his primary target for snuffing out. Because someone was making too much noise and it was bothering him. The next shot was fired and that one slammed into him head on. He didn't care about the mountain or cave collapsing, but he did keep his eyes in the general direction that it fired from as he was unharmed by the blast. He noticed Xeel too, considering a lot of people were fairly frustrated at her for blowing up a chunk of Element City in what many described as a hussy fit. Probably not really since you'd have to be pretty childish to still throw those, right?*
"Just one after the other... Fine. You can have that one."
*And just like that he turned his attention to the hole that was there, being covered in another sphere of darkness similar to the one he had used with Resonance before as he launched off. What was once left of the hole expanded even further as Xion blasted through, stopping himself not far from Longinus in an even shorter time than it took for the navi to fire that cannon it was wielding. He could see that it was charging, but he promptly ignored it a few moments after while speaking up again, this time because he was in front of his target.*
"So I give you credit for firing at me of all people. I've been in a relatively magnanimous mood today, so this is me giving you a chance to feel sorry for yourself and run away as quickly as you possibly can."
*His tone didn't really hide the darkness or his intended action in a few more moments. It was one of slight annoyance with more condescending than anything else. But he had still given this small chance for something to be done. Just because he was in a good mood right now.*

The kunai grazed the surface, hardened nanomachines preventing it from going any deeper into his body. An ear shattering screech was heard in the process though, sparks flying everywhere. Turned out the boost to his systems was doing more good than he thought. He wasn't about to let that two front attack go unanswered though."Oh I'm not the strongest..." he said, his back opening up to reveal dozens of missiles. "I like to think it's a sick joke by Juno to mock everyone." They flew out in succession, flying towards Xeel. He turned to face her, eye glowing brightly with crimson smoke coming from it. "Why bother. You'll just be the next person with a target painted on their back, and someone stronger will take you out, and the cycle will continue, making a mockery out of anyone even trying to win the game." He shook his head, unsure whether to feel pity or anger at her. "I'm not even trying to win this game. I just want to stay alive and in one piece." The mountain was falling to pieces around him, shards of ice, rock and dust kicking up everywhere. Nidhiki intended to leave soon, but if he could convince one less person of participating, then he would be satisfied. 'This whole place is going to hell, and he's trying to convince her to stop with words!? This guy is crazier than I thought!' Quo thought to himself, unsure what to do. Everytime he stopped time, he was only hurting himself as his control loosed more and more, but at the same time Nidhiki was his only lead towards finding Resonance. 'Oh the things I do for power...'Saving Nidhiki's metal rear it was. A ticket towards finding Resonance AND a leverage to try and get some secrets out of him. He pulled a pebble out of his pocket and accelerated it, feeling his left arm go numb, before flicking it at the wall, causing to ricochet at Xeel. The pebble was aimed in such away that it's ricocheting would be contained to her general area, to be sure the other navis didn't get in the way. He pulled out two knives, ready to keep the offense going. Unfortunately, he wasn't going to do any special tricks for the knife he was about to throw, worried about the repercussions. He aimed for the center of her back, similar to where she had tried to stab Nidhiki. He then assumed a stance and held the remaining knife in his right hand, ready in case she came after him. With Xion occupied for the moment, he was feeling confident in the current 2v1 situation.

Xeel Perhaps. It would be smarter to just wait till the end. buuut... she trailed off, noting that the missiles were on approach she unsheathed more kunai and quickly hurled one at the lead rocket, causing it to rupture and explode. This caused a chain reaction that detonated every other rocket and only added to the avalanche that was quickly gaining momentum.
Xeel tilted her head back to narrowly avoid the pebble, but caught as it between two fingers as it nearly finished its lap. She used its momentum to spin her around and send it hurtling towards Quo. The agile assassin continued the spin into a jump while avoiding the knife and slammed back into the ground in a crouched position, rupturing the ground with a shockwave of lightning that erupted from beneath the already unstable terrain outward. A cackling yellow aura began to pour off her.
Without leaving the crouch Xeel disappears only to reappear behind Nidhiki with a serrated blade already coming down against his back, ripping away at the armored plating and the gap quickly being filled blade first with small dagger glowing with yellow energy. Upon being lodged into Nidhikis back the dagger began to discharge energy into the navis in regular intervals.
Leaning in close, her hand still on the dagger. Xeel whispered. ...What fun is that? With that she pushed off the poor navi with such force as to both shove him into the path of a large chunk of falling debris and rocket herself into the air. Upon reaching the peak of her jump she adopted the cliche stance of charging an energy attack minus the 3 minute chant of a power up and with a loud Ha! fired a massive beam, even larger than Longinus' towards Quo. The sheer heat of which evaporated the snowy rocks caught in it while melting the area around the blast-zone.

Quo narrowly avoided the pebble, whizzing by his ear and embedding itself in a nearby wall. 'She can take us. She can almost certainly take us.' Her agility and quick thinking was allowing her to out think Nidhiki, who let out a roar of pain as the knife dug in and began to let loose pulses of energy, as Xeel let loose a mighty beam of energy at him. 'It won't be that easy for you to take me down darn it!'
With a roar that seemed to cause the entire net to shake, Quo cried out his signature line, his right arm crackling with energy, a wild look in his eyes. "Toki wa tomare!"
And with that, the world became still. Xeel in the air, still posing, Nidhiki desperately reaching for the knife, Xion towering over Longinus, Noal standing there with Src being desu, rubble frozen midair all around him. The beam stopping mere inches from where he stood. 'Two can play this game!'
He dashed towards the frozen Nidhiki, ignoring the knife to use the navi as a stepping stone, leaping towards the large boulder falling right above him. And he punched it. With all the force in his right arm he punched it, aiming it for a rather straight arc at Xeel, the force of the punch forcing him back as well. In the dead silence of the stopped world, a thunderous clap was heard, breaking the perpetual silence.
And then time resumed.
The boulder instantly changed course, flying straight towards Xeel, as Quo felt his arm go fully limp, and the numbness it had once felt start spreading. 'This had better be worth it. Otherwise, it's all over.'
In front of him, Nidhiki managed to get a grip on the knife and pull it out, breathing heavily. Nanomachines swarmed the spot, trying to undo the damage that had been done. He followed up with a laser blast from his eye at Xeel, knowing full well she'd most likely avoid them unless the boulder made contact. 'Retreat's looking might fine right now...' He thought grimly. Quo was doing just as badly as he was, and it seemed like Xion was just about to deal with their firepower. It was clearly time to go.

"A nice, friendly question. What better way to lure your prey into the open" Resonance thought to himself. But still, at least Xion wasn't actively trying to kill him.... yet...
From his hidden position, Resonance speaks. However, his voice seems to echo and emanate throughout the nearby cave network, making it impossible to derive his location from it.
Resonance: I do tend to find myself in the middle of these things. Apparently, a Navi named Juno is trying his best to get Navis to delete each other. All I'm trying to do is get everyone to stop until we know more about it. I don't want another Eon on our hands....

*He could understand Resonance being cautious, all things considered. Sound had always been such a useful element in his opinion. But that was about the same thing the message said. Kill others, find the truth, ectera. Too many Eons lately. Best part of that was he never got to meet the guy in question. When the big question was asked he decided not to go after the guy despite the fate of the universe riding on the battle.*
"Too many of those lately. If that's what it is I don't really need to hear too much about it. Go help that other joker. I don't feel like picking off some weakling for big points at the moment."
*Besides, someone else would prefer much more to see Resonance fall. He was in a good mood after all. Besides, he had honestly come to talk this time. Just people decided to dodge his question so he got a bit more physical instead. Since that was over, he would let them go about their business. After dealing with that other one anyway. That guy had fired at him after all. Supposed he should maybe teach the clown a lesson too for throwing the knife early and not at least biding his time before doing so.*

Longinus, while ready to stay and see his mission through no matter what, received the order to retreat. He was worried. The client wasn't able to secure Nidhiki... but activating that stone was enough... maybe that's all they wanted...? He thought to himself. However, being as safe as possible, he logged out before engaging in any more combat, the risks getting too high.

Xeel The loud Kra-koom of Quo's counter assault was the best heads up Xeel could have asked for. She broke stance, ending the beam, and raised her right hand up high above her and brought it down open palm upon the boulder just in the nick of time. The slap was silent but the result was catastrophic. The assault was blunted and the projectile spattered to the wind in hundreds of smoking pebbles.
Oh my~ she whispered, shaking her hand back and forth shaking off the numbness. Yeesh. Without the audible heads up she would have been shaking off a lot more than a numb hand.
Without the laser keeping her propelled up, Xeel began to fall back towards the ground. During the descent the toolbox of tricks drew up more kunai, infusing them with energy and hurtling them into the ground all around the unlikely duo. Upon impact they began to discharge synchronous blasts.
Upon touching down Xeel began to stomp the slushy surface beneath her repeatedly. With each stomp another bolt of lightning struck down on one of the two navis. Alternating between them with each bolt and melting, then refreezing the snow beneath the blastzone. With each bolt the faint aura around Xeel became more solid.
After several bolts she makes a small hop and stomps the ground with both feet. Causing all previous bolts to strike again in the same position they just had, but with more explosive force.

However, it was now Nidhiki's turn to use her own tactics against her attack. Boulders being thrown around and destroyed like they were nothing, he wasn't going to cut her a break. His left arm came up, a rocket emerging within. It took off, colliding head on with the lead kunai, causing a chain reaction that detonated the closest kunai, and sent the rest off course into the walls, causing what was left by this point to collapse.
The quad legged navi leapt back in an attempt to avoid more rubble, narrowly avoiding the first bolt, while Quo dashed forward. Noticing another boulder coming down, he leapt up, kicking off the boulder, sending it towards Xeel once again, the next bolt narrowly missing him. Still in the air, a group of knives materialized in his good hand, and he tossed them all around the boulder and behind it, attempting to catch her off guard.
He landed beside Nidhiki, who was pleased with how things were going. 'We can do this! We can hold her off'
And then the next two came, bringing the two navis to their knees. Nidhiki had the benefit of having some armor against the subsequent bolts. But Quo took each and every single one of them, unarmored, no hope of stopping them or reducing their impact.
And then the big one hit. Nidhiki fully armored up in preparation, absorbing the majority of the impact. When the dust settled, Nidhiki was smoking from every part of his body, but he was standing up right and showed no signs of showing.
Quo however... wasn't doing so hot. He was heavily breathing, collapsing to one knee, using his only good hand to try and keep himself from falling over. 'Oh no... this isn't going to be good.' He was beginning to regret his decision to stay and fight.

Before pandora's box was opened: Fasilli skipped over what remained of the debris and saw his target. There was another navi, and a giant gaping hole that he knew was not there. Mostly because his cool explosion was completely overshadowed by another boom from a weapon that just screamed "over-compensating." And then... so much happened, Fasilli did the first rational thing this whole fight and vanished without a trace. Way before Long fired, made things explode, after Nid got a shiny new eye piece, and before things got absolutely impossible to keep track of in the thick of it. Fasilli LOVED IT! So many targets, so many attacks going on... it was perfect!
The fact someone else came for his kill, annoyed him. As did the constant explosions. What ever happened to the silent knife in the back? Why did everyone have to make so much noise? Noise noise noise noise! So Fasilli did the second rational thing the whole fight. He waited. He waited, and watched as people tried killing eachother. And he waited...
And waited. Man this was lame! After Xeel would react, a black miasma suddenly started shooting out of pockets of the snow. The miasma quickly expanded and billowed out in all directions, as if seeking all nearby navis. And then a sinister purple light started poking out through the snow across the area. The snow slowly sank, giving way and revealing a toxic substance beneath it that could only be one thing: Toxic Panels. Combined with the miasma now permeating the area, staying would be suicide.
And then there was Fasilli, who emerged stealthily behind Nid and Quo. "Did ya miss me?" Fasilli cackled, swinging a scythe aimed for them both! If he killed Nid, then yay! If he killed Quo, then yay! If he killed no one... then he'd try again later.

The more you pull a stunt, the less likely it was to succeed.
Nidhiki had been attacked from behind so many times he was expecting it by now. He turned, nanomachines flowing down his right arm, becoming his own trademark scythe as he brought it down, trapping Fasilli's between his and the ground, sparing Quo and himself more pain. "No, I really didn't miss you. In fact, I was hoping the mountain had collapsed on you."
A laser promptly shot out of his eye, aimed at the center of Fasilli's chest. He just had to buy enough time, so that Quo could catch his breath and gather enough energy to leave the network. 'Or I may have to risk it and pull both of us out. And I'm not sure I can do that.'
