Src's own roar was interrupted by yet another intruder into their nest. Yet the newest entity was the most frightening to Src. As soon as it appeared it let out an earth shattering roar sending Src into a panic. Immediately Src lost its form and turned into what looked like a silver puddle. Soon the powerful source of the roar died down and Src could relax if only for a bit. Src felt that the new navi was the strongest being it had mat and must be observed further. Bringing itself up in a shape mimicking Resonance's own. Src remained silent not understanding any of the sounds that the two beings uttered back and forth.

Gallant knight... a term that Resonance wouldn't use to describe himself at all. The Generational holds his ground against Facilli, his blade still drawn and held at the ready as he stares on threateningly through the jester's monologue. It quickly became obvious from Facilli's continued pressing that Resonance's bluff had failed; the clown now had even more reason to continue, and had his own view on the subje-wait, magic trick? If that wasn't a telegraph for a sneaky move, then nothing was. As Facilli bursts into a cloud of black smoke, Resonance immediately turns his attention back to the real focal point of this meeting, Nidhiki. Sure enough, Facilli appeared a split second later with daggers drawn. However, this posed a problem; Resonance wasn't fast enough to get between Facilli and Nidhiki to block with his shield, and his other defensive measures would only protect himself. This posed a problem, but Resonance did have a solution.
Not knowing if Nidhiki would be able to defend himself, Resonance quickly grabs the multi-limbed Navi by the hand and yanks him out of harms way with just inches to spare, placing himself between Facilli and Nidhiki once again
Resonance: Fine. I'll indulge your questions.... but first, one of my own.
As Resonance speaks, his body slowly becomes transparent before vanishing entirely. Not obscured by smoke as Facilli had been just moments before, rather entirely gone from sight. It's then that the Generational's response continues, resounding as if nothing more than an echo in the cave.
Resonance: Do you really believe that this is the first time that this has happened? That the net has never seen a promise for power if only a specific pre-requisite has been fulfilled? I can tell you exactly what the prize is; a broken promise. How do I know? Because I've seen this "Juno" before. I've seen him in every megalomaniac that's tried to take over or destroy, I've seen him in the eyes of Forte, and I've seen him in the eyes of a random heel Navi in the undernet. I've seen him in things that came about due to my own actions, and the actions of others. No matter what he offers, it will all end up nothing more than a lie or a stepping-stone on which to build his own throne. And if you help him build that throne, then you're the same as the misguided stepping stones that have been walked on in ages past, convinced that they'll reap power from whatever foolish endeavor they're set on. In the end, it's all the same. I've seen things that made absolute avatars of chaos and insanity bend a knee, and I'm seeing it happen again.
[smear:666655]As Resonance finishes speaking, a light shines above where he had been standing, a radiant central point radiating like a chandler amid the shadows and darkness of the frozen caves. The shining light seems to burst out like a growing crystal and bathe the entire area in a bright blue glow of radiant power. At that moment, the vissage of the Generational re-appears behind Facilli, his blade still drawn and his determined glare still very much intact. [/smear:4f4f3f]
Resonance: So the real question is this; just how gullible are you?
Lashing out, Resonance slashes forward with his shining blade, leaving behind brilliant, sparkling waves in its wake. The blade and its remaining trails did not cut, but rather seemed to draw light and life from all that they make contact with, siphoning energy with each passing second. From behind the waves of light, Resonance performs one last slash; a gigantic, arcing blade of shadows that breaks past the shining distraction that the Twilight Discharge had left behind. This blade's range extends deep and cuts even deeper, with an edge as hard as steel and as sharp as a razor.

Except instead of plunging into the metal back of Nidhiki, the knife instead bounced off as the nanomachines hardened all over his body, rendering the backstab, and what Nidhiki was about to do, useless and barely damaging to himself. However, what Fasilli should've been more worried about, was the fact that Nidhiki didn't even attempt to move, let alone get his arm off. Like as though he was going to doing something crazy. For a long tense moment, Resonance gave his little speech, Nidhiki praying Fasilli didn't leave his back. And once it ended, he enacted his own plan, forcing his arm between Fasilli and himself, hoping to loosen his grip. The audible clanging of compartments sliding open could be heard between Nidhiki and his assailant. "He did tell you to not go through with it." And like that, the missiles fired point blank. The force of the blasts, in theory, would push Nidhiki forward and his assailant away, hopefully into Resonance's own assault. While it would hurt, he would take less of the blast in his current state. And even if his assailant moved, the missiles would immediately turn and fly towards him. And in the commotion of all this, the nanomachines worked overtime, undoing the damage that the missiles did along with the damage Fasilli was causing with his presence. He turned towards his would have been assailant, smoke coming off his already recovered body. "You're not the only one with a little bit of crazy in them. So leave. Now."

*Well imagine that. He had just gone for a stroll, taking his time to head back. He was contacting Ruin then too to let him know he was done and about Ruin's own idea, but then all this commotion happened. He always figured that people would be quiet in a place made of ice and snow and crap, but little did he know that they were just as loud as always. Of course he supposed that was fine too. Walking into the scene it was playing out like a lot of brawls did in fact, one side outgunning the other. When he spoke up it was a calm and natural tone, not at all concerned about the fighting that was taking place.*
"A game that just brings all the crazies right up to the fore. Sounds like something that enforcers should enjoy, doesn't it?"
*Crimson beacons that stood out even in the cave stood out first. Their light dimmed to reveal them to simply be crimson eyes with dull gray armor. The eyes going to and from each of the people present. He was good at masking his own malicious intent unlike Resonance, who was on the aggressive here. For example one was mimicking one of the ONB Commanders, so he figured someone here had a habit of changing what they looked like. One he recognized, not really. He recognized their general appearance or the things about the appearance. The insanity that they gave off. He had quite a few companions like that in fact who may or may not have calmed down or gotten worse. They usually try to resist the overall madness, but then not everyone felt like resisting it. The last two were obvious as the actual Commander given their use of that sword and the other one was... oh. Well wasn't this just a funny coincidence? That let him understand the situation a bit more pretty quickly there. And Ruin complained about him slacking off... silly guy. Of course he figured he had to make this whole thing quick. From the looks of it these guys fancied crazy ideas. Like he did.*
"I was just wanting to ask how this whole thing started and find the ideal individuals to have that chat with. Fancy that."

And now yet another navi enetered...things were getting crowded and that made Src nervous. Src focused itself on one important task, self replication. A sudden huge growth spurt in Src's replication happened. Thousands of new little Srcs were born and then something a little more bizarre. Much like an Octopus might spray ink to escape Src exploded a part of itself spraying the inside of the cave with pieces of them self. Src painted the navi's and the walls, the rest simply reverting back to goo and slipping away to crevices in the walls. The src's that landed opn the others would cause no harm and seemingly disappear on their person. Having only camouflaged themselves and hiding deep within each ones data. With all these new arrivals Src made the decision that it would be better to just observe this situation than try to intervene any farther. All Src needed was 1 of them to begin anew, better to live another day for now.

There was ALOT of things going on. It was probably best if everyone slowed their rolls to avoid cramping, carpal tunnel, or tomfoolery. Tomfoolery was a whimsical word! Anyway, Fasilli was irritated but not overly surprised when his attack did little against Nid. Either because of the nanos or Res, it was hard to tell which one it was exactly. Why was no one moving during this monologue? He was surprised as it was that his monologue had gone off without a hitch.
And now Res was attacking. So he wanted to hit Nid? GREAT! His plan was working perfectly! And then compartments flipped open. Fasilli knew there had to be a reason he didn't make a move to get rid of him. He was crazy, not stupid. This was perfect timing, as it gave him an excuse to move AND hurt Nid at the same time. So like before, his body shifted into an amorphous black smoke that quickly darted away as the missles flew.
And then, another person! This one he recognized, not so much firsthand. And then that weird creature went into hiding after inking everyone not currently smoke. Fasilli: 1 Weird creature thingy: 0. But now he had to deal with missles. How irritating. "Hey Bossman!" Fasilli said in a way that didn't exactly sound... friendly persay. It was more of a "you want in?"
Now back to the annoying misssles that also tracked. Talk about a genius! "So roboman, how you hold up against tons of ice and snow?" Fasilli asked evilly, his form turning into smoke again and quickly darting up to the ceiling where he reformed. It was obvious what his intent was, regardless if it succeeded or not. This was gonna be cool! As the missles drew nearer, Fasilli didn't move a muscle (other then the ones he was using to hang onto the ceiling). Someone should do something about that...

Fantastic. Just fantastic. This had been the second time today that Resonance had been upstaged, and it was getting a bit annoying. However, there was something far more important going on right now.
Shifting his hand from a blade, Resonance clenches his newly re-formed fist, recoils it to his side, and waves it forward palm-first. As the Generational does so, a powerful sonic force resonates out from the spot where Fasilli hangs, appearing as if waves of black energy expanding out with an ear-splitting screech. The resulting waves engulf the missiles as they fly upward and causes them to fall to the ground harmlessly, entirely disabled by Resonance's attack. The ONB Navi then clenches his fist and re-forms his blade, still looking at Fasilli as he addresses Xion.
Resonance: Xion, could we please have this conversation later? The clown up there is a Navi of interest in this game, and I really need to bring him in.

"Well..." Nidhiki said, relieved that the missiles had been stopped. He didn't want to try his luck with a cave in, especially in his slightly weakened state. "Looks like we don't find out. Too bad."
It seemed Resonance knew the new navi it seemed. So now it was three on one, with at least one of them not likely to turn on him after this was all over. His chances of surviving this game were increasing it seemed. Maybe he'd make it out in one piece after all...
"Now how about you leave?" He said again, twirling his scythe in his hand, nanomachines crawling over his body as he healed. "You're outnumbered and outgunned. You aren't coming out of this in one piece."
Meanwhile in a snowy field south from the mountain in which the battle was taking place...
Quo landed softly in the snowy field, staring at the mountain in the distance, observing the 4 footed patterns in the snow leading towards the mountain. This was definitely the place he'd run to if he was scared for his life. Plenty of elevated terrain to take advantage of, caverns to retreat into, lose pursuers and ambush them... It was perfect.
font color="e6de19"]'The only question I want to know is, did that navi come here?'[/font] And by that navi, he meant Resonance. Quo was still curious about what Resonance was capable of with his temporal abilities, and to be frank, Quo wasn't feeling so strong after the game started. 'What is his secret? How did he achieve such mastery? I must know!'
And with that, he set off towards the mountain, intent on finding Resonance, regardless of what would oppose him.

*His question was met with a mix of responses from the looks of it. One was the one looking nervous and... multiplying? That was a cute little ability. Like having more pins to hit with a bowling ball or something akin to that. He might be starting to like that one. At least until part of him exploded, a curtain of darkness seeming to form around Xion by instinct that the spray painted, sinking into the darkness before the darkness sank into the ice. Well... he might have to teach him to not explode at random like that. He could go over that lesson in a bit of length later. The clown knew him, at least judging by the other two not being the Bossman. Way to put him out like that. Well, he was fine with that. He had sort of left Amethyst for the wolves a few times even when it was blatantly obvious he was connected with her just to see how it would turn out rather than help her.*
"I'd love to chat later, as a matter of fact."
*A chip formed in Xion's hand before it fell back into it as he spoke, bitter flames of darkness forming around his left arm. They felt both cold and apprehensive, purely destructive in origin. Quickly they lifted off from the arm and began forming into the form of bullets, something familiar to Resonance likely with how many people he knew who used that type of thing, but different at the same time from Xion's mastery of it. They weren't as numerous as a regular DarkVulcan for sure, but they contained a lot more power in each of the ten bullets that fired off, aimed at Nidhiki. The destructive force behind each planning to cripple or tear apart the navi. Mainly he was focused on forcing the guy to be stuck instead of running away by logging out. Why had he chosen that attack? Well... Resonance understood that quite well. Xion then faded from sight, a red flash going by as he appeared beside Resonance after his barrage, lashing out with his claws in an instant as he finished what he was going to say.*
"But I'm in the mood for chatting now too. And you're right about being outgunned of course. Let's have some fun before we get that conversation underway."
*But Resonance and the multi-legged one had differing opinions, and that let him know that Resonance was the one trying to pull the wool over his eyes. He wasn't doing it so much to help out the other one, but he was in the mood to play right now anyway. And these were as good as any when it came down to finding targets to aim at. Resonance was good at that as it happened.*

Xion's attack came off as a brutal show of power. Knowing that there was nothing else that he could do, Resonance gets between Nidhiki and Xion's vulcan fire. The bullets scream across the gap in an instant and pierce the Generational Navi's body in an instant, tearing him to pieces as his data scatters to the wind.
As soon as Xion relocates to where Resonance had been, a set of shining, white darts fly out from the shadows, peppering the master darkloid with flashes of light. From the light that these small darts of light produce, the form of Resonance, the real Resonance, can be seen hiding in the shadows. The deleted Navi had been nothing more than a clone, with the real Navi hiding just out of sight. As the light from the darts dies down, Resonance dashes deeper into the shadows to keep himself hidden. This really hadn't been his day, and it just kept getting worse and worse. After a moment, his voice resounds above the silence, its origin entirely hidden by the Generational's innate Sonic elemental properties.
Resonance: Xion, you know that you can't beat what I am in the end. And when I do delete you, your re-spawn point is going to be in ONB prison. Take your one opportunity and get out of here.

*Resonance had stepped in front of the barrage... just as planned. The body that took the shots would have completely prevented them in a normal scenario. But the bullets carried the same property as the original chip used to fuel the attack: piercing through the obstacles between its original target, like another navi, and moving to the one behind it. It was part of his intent to tear part navis apart at the same time as the bullets kept on their way toward Nidhiki who was supposed to be safe after Resonance was scattered into the wind.*
*Xion's surprise came when the body had vanished when he planned to continue his assault. So he was right to assume that Resonance would serve as his primary bounty for target practice. He had raised his right arm, the darts slamming into them and the armor that he wore. He knew that the darts weren't just simply that, but he was taken enough by surprise to be incapable of evading them then. The light was swallowed by darkness, his eyes narrowing as though they were smiling. Resonance did have a habit for at least giving his opponent a chance to depart first.*
"Three things about that, Generational... The first is that I'm the brother of a particularly stubborn navi in onyx armor."
*Onyx. He had used that descriptor for it to guarantee which one he meant. A navi that Resonance had both worked with and fought against. Both times being against the odds no doubt. Xion had raised a finger as he did this, but the darkness started to pool at his feet. Like a puddle beneath him as he slowly raised another finger on his right hand.*
"The second is that like you, I've been around the bend quite a few times. And the third you might ask?"
*The third finger was raised at this point. Just as the Generational's home was the shadows was Xion's home the darkness itself. A darkness that eclipses the field spreads out and affects all. A time for darkness and chaos both. A time that suited those of the dark perfectly as he faded into it, crimson eyes disappearing as his tone grew increasingly darker.*
"...What's the guarantee that I can't?"
*The darkness had pooled over even the shadows. And with those words it was shown that Xion was quite content with fighting regardless of that condition. His re-spawn point being the prison even made this a bit more enticing even.*
*That is, of course, if Resonance had it in him to delete him. Or if he didn't destroy him instead of the sonic navi's own prediction.*

The encroaching darkness seems to engulf Resonance's shadows, turning them from something neutral to something far more malevolent. Xion's power was waxing while Resonance's was waning. He was quickly running out of options, and once again, his bluff was called.
Only this time, it wasn't a bluff.
Resonance: Simple, Xion...
A surge of energy blasts out from deep inside the cave, both malevolent and deadly in nature. Like a wind sweeping through the catacombs of the icy tundra, it rises with a light rumble before Resonance's voice resounds once again, no longer omni-directional as it had been.
GS-Resonance: I've killed worse than you!
*Like lightning, the form of a deformed, gray beast leaps from the shadows. Its skin cracked and gray, covered in spots that glow randomly in the darkness. The sense of bug-radiation fills the cave as the being, the Gospel Juuka, appears. With blinding speed and unrivaled power, it rushes forward and takes a flying leap at Xion with bug-riddled claws thirsty for blood. And then, just as those claws go for Xion's neck...
....the vissage of the Juuka vanishes, as if nothing more than a puff of smoke. And behind that smoke, the real threat stands.
With armor shining white and reflecting like a mirror, Resonance stands engulfed in an aura of solid white flame. Fully in sync with the Mark of Duo that shines on the same hand that reaches toward Xion, Resonance charges up a holy energy and prepares to unleash it in a flash.
SP-Resonance: Now GET OUT!
*With a pulse of white radiance, Xion is overcome by the effects of Pure Light; Purify. His dark soul is temporarily disabled, just as his dark chips had been deleted by the darts thrown from the shadows before. With Xion now entirely disconnected from the true power of darkness, Resonance thrusts his hand upward, causing an inferno of pure light to rise from the ground below with searing power against everything on the field save himself, Src, and Nidhiki.
As the flames die, he silently speaks to the multi-limbed arsenal Navi behind him, his voice drowned out by the roar of the flame to all save its intended listener
SP-Resonance: Get out of here before they kill you!
Resonance wastes no time. Hoping that Xion is still reeling from having his access to darkness stripped away and the burning flames of light, the Purified Generational re-forms his sword, now shining even brighter than ever. Without a second to lose, he brings his ascended blade, the Solar Discharge, around with a powerful slash. The trail of the blade engulfs the entire mouth of the cave and beyond, and unlike his standard weapon, it actually cuts and burns deep with a razor edge.

*Resonance was prepared just as he was then. The Gospel Juuka. His brother had told him about that encounter. He was eager to test his own luck against it in fact. But just as it lunged through the darkness to catch him... it vanished. Another smoke cloud among the mirrors that Resonance used. Such a crafty foe that he got to dance with this time around. The pulse of light that slammed into him, the powers of the purest light granted to him by the power of Duo himself. How few had earned such a favor from that one.* *The darts had been a mistake. But just as the light had started to take effect... it stopped. The darkness that was supposed to be disconnected wasn't completely cut off, it was as though Xion sneered underneath the armor. The darts may have succeeded... but he had his own protection against the powers of purification just in case this ever happened. Amusing what a simple program designed for a simple purpose could do, no?*
"Heh...hahahahahah!"
*He was engulfed by the inferno all the same, the darkness around his body stamping out the damage that would be caused to himself. The field from before that the darts had managed to bypass. His laughter was loud, but likely drowned out by the flames that roared between them. The massive strike from the Solar Discharge met the field as well, the darkness moving to at least cover for the clown that was there too. As often as Xion wanted to just let people be, the defense shattered once it was used to defend the clown from the massive slash, leaving the clown to deal with the flames that would strike him himself.*
*And his eyes flashing through the light was the first thing to be realized. The eyes of darkness had two things that came in their wake. The first was darkness rising up to engulf Resonance, the Darken effect of his own Ultimate Darkness that he still possessed to ruin the light that Resonance himself possessed if able. The second was sparking destruction all about Resonance and completely ignoring Nidhiki. Resonance's plan had been successful, because Xion was focused on Resonance now instead of the first navi he targeted. Two blades of darkness flew out at Resonance from differing angles, Xion appearing in front of him and grabbing them during their flight and struck at his opponent with the blades all at once, the blades exploding after the swing. But Xion was unaffected by the smog created from the dark explosion. And Xion was completely in his comfort zone. Darkness flared along his arms, unleashing a flurry of blows in an instant that was followed by a sword forming from his arm, slashing with it before he vanished again, appearing in various different positions that seemed akin to short warps. This also ended in Xion sending a blow from Resonance's right side and then his back followed by another from his front that ended with another sword forming in his hand, swinging the blade that was similar to a double-sided sword or lance. The sword vanished after as Xion jumped upward, the darkness all flowing up to him as his body became what looked like a sphere of pure darkness.*
*...And in this sphere could the same laughter be heard. It was deeper than before as the sphere began its descent. Red shockwaves blasting out from it as it descended straight at Resonance as it slammed down and exploded out in the cavern and shaking it completely despite the conditions. Madness itself seeming to spew forth from the attack. Despite the power behind them they were all rather heavily centered on a single target, this at least allowing the others to get out while Xion afforded his full attention to Resonance.*

Nidhiki was already trying to move when the DarkVulcan went off, however the majority still dug in. And they succeeded in their goal, crippling his log off systems and one of his legs. Alarm messages were going off in his HUD. 'Looks like fleeing via log out isn't going to happen' he thought grimly, already limping to the exit behind him, the very entrance he had come in through. While his speed was hindered, his 3 remaining legs still allowed him to do brisk pace.
At least it appeared Resonance was doing his job though. Xion was completely focused on Resonance instead of Nidhiki, enabling him to get away while he still could. 'The only problem is what's the clown going to do... and will they bring down the mountain before I can get out?' He was so close though, he could see the light.
Quo was now lightly jogging towards the mountain, almost at the entrance at the cave. He would've been there sooner, but he was beginning to find it exhausting to accelerate himself. 'What is happening to my power? I need to get ahold of that navi, and soon!' He just hoped he wasn't attacked on site... that wouldn't go well.

Did Nidhiki completely ignore the fact Fasilli stared into the face of the Gospel Juuka, and barely flinched? Rather it only enticed him to battle further! It didn't really matter what the odds were. The more targets, be they friend or foe, he would relish every moment of it. He was however sad face about the missles being disabled. He was SO looking forward to seeing how that cave in plan went.
But as he had anticipated, Xion went on the attack against Resonance. Fasilli enjoyed killing in every sense, including watching others rip each other to shreds. He didn't care who won in the end, it was still a good show to watch. Fasilli had by this time flipped off the ceiling and gracefully land on one of the icy constructs jutting out of the ground, a pair of daggers clenched in his hands. His former wide grin had now been replaced with what could only be described as a toothy sneer, boarding on vile and demonic in visage. "How entertaining... oh what's this? Mr. Crabs has scuttled away. Can't have that now can we?" Fasilli thought licking his teeth, quickly fading into invisibility as he began pursuit.
Like his current company, he lived in the shadows and darkness aswell. "Oh, to answer your question earlier dark knight..." Fasilli's voice echoed through the cave the two were in. "It doesn't matter to me WHO sits on that throne so long as I get to have some FUN! Hehehehehehe!" Fasilli's answer came with a poisoned dagger, aimed for what Fasilli believed to be a "soft spot."
Whether or not it worked, Fasilli's cackled echoed as he was already gone. In hot pursuit of Nidhiki, who was still asking for a shiv to the butt!
