Fulgur blinks, then gives a shy smile back, fidgeting slightly. That was good that she was safe...Then she seems to begin crying, hugging her kidnapper.Wha...Ah...
As the others arrive, the boy steps forward, eyes widening as the girl is imprisoned and lifted high above. He'd have to fly to get to her...
Glaring at the kidnapper, Ful summons his armor, the headband around his head unfolding into a helmet that covers all but his mouth and his golden eye, which was fixed on the mysterious navi."You just betrayed her trust now...That was unfair. If I must, I will fight you...But no matter what, she's leaving here of her own free will."
Lightning crackled around his form, which was glowing with a soft Light.Hearing the name the human cried out,the young navi glances up at Pheobe, smiling reassuringly."Don't worry, Miss Phoebe...I'll fight as hard as I can for you."

“Phoebe, are you alright?”
Regardless of Megami making her stand, Xenneth could not help but to be concerned. The girl-…ergh, NetNavi. She was so gentle and kind! That’s what he thought of first and foremost over all that happened. It was not like she lied to him about anything as much as it was about him making silly little assumptions. There was a confliction of feelings within him, but he had to sort that out later.
He could not know more about her if she was deleted!
“She’s a program, I know that…” he thought, “…but still.”
Programs do not feel like that or cry like that. They do not honestly go out their way to help someone because of their “feelings.” They were nothing but bits of data and patterns, right? Xenneth at least thought about it like that when Megami and himself both were trying to understand where they stood as friends…but, he knew there was more to her feelings and what that was, he could not even begin to fathom how she felt like that, or why.
Now, looking at Phoebe…
“I feel like a hypocrite!”
His hands making little petite fists as he reached the other to grasp battlechips in his palm. The violet haired boy had decided to sort all that out when Megami rescued her. The video screen opened in the Cyber World so Xenneth could get a live view of the Goddess and the NetNavis she stood along with. They all seemed like a capable bunch, even if he had never seen them before. If interactions in Element City meant anything, it was that to not underestimate the denizens of the net.

The electric current pulsing through the iron-clad navi startled the Maiden. He turned to speak to her gently, and while obvious he was speaking, she could only make out muffled sounds. Quickly dismissing the shock, Phoebe just smiled and waved shyly at him. He was so kind... They all were.
A holographic screen enlarged itself in the digital world, revealing a very familiar face. The Lady of Light could not help but cheer in utter jubilee. Bouncing up and down and waving madly at Xenneth's face, the Lady of Light had no regard for her state of appearance. Flipping her already healed hands before him, there was no sign of injury; only dry blood, the sole witness of what once was. It was one way to communicate that she was out of harm's way... For now.
Concerned was written across his face, perhaps Phoebe could ease his troubles. With the snap of her fingers, a tiny butterfly sat in the palms of her hands with ease. Offering it before him behind a sealed cage, the Maiden dared to hope it would help.

Ful smiles shyly, waving back. He kinda liked her...She seemed nice and gentle.Hopefully after all this, they'd be able to get to know eachother, despite his inevitable shyness and nervousness.
Eitherway, the boy had to make sure she got to safety...Blinking as the screen of a human Op pops up,Ful smiles as Phoebe begins bouncing up and down, waving. Ah...they must be freinds..."Don't worry, Mr...uhm...Human Sir...We'll get her to safety." He fidgeted slightly, still not quite used to talking to actual humans yet,but smiles as the Maiden offers up a butterfly. Ah...was she trying to reassure the human?

Merrill snorted. He summoned his third blade, a two hand claymore sword. Would this team be enough? Would having a fair number of navis be enough to take down this navi?
"You will pay."
Xylia ran up and stood next to Merrill. She raised her hands and was ready to move at a moment's notice.

The black flames split apart almost as if kneeling in reverence of the next responder's presence, giving her a clear path to approach without being burnt.
Stepping forward was a raven-haired woman with exquisite blue eyes; those that knew Warrior well (and even the mysterious Navi himself) would recognize the sword she held; those that knew her by her alias, Feint, would still recognize her even without her black suit and signature sidearm.
Instead of her normal attire, she appeared to be wearing regular clothing, her outfit consisting of dark blue form-fitting jeans and a thin dark gray sweater worn beneath an open, black leather jacket. Although the jacket's sleeves were rolled back to her biceps, the gray sweater underneath it reached to her wrists. Knee-high boots that matched the same shade of gray as her sweater completed her civilian-esque outfit.
As she stepped through the separated wall of flames, the black fire engulfed the edges of the battlefield again, having only even split apart to begin with just to let her pass.
The sword that was normally in Warrior's hand was now resting at Feint's side as she reached back to tie her hair in a ponytail so that it'd be a bit less likely to get in her way during close quarters combat. She eyed the dark navi up and down as she tied it, then picked up the sword and continued walking toward him as she had finished.
"You don't look that tough. But you chose a bad day to stir up some commotion."
She had fought and defeated bigger foes. Having everybody else here to help deal with this one was just extra credit as far as Feint was concerned.

As the sun set, and night began to fall, the stage was set for this battle. It would start as a Five Vs. One battle. Would the five navis be enough? Even with the mysterious new arrival, her presence caught his attention. He recognized the blade. But not the wielder. He made note to keep special track of her during this fight. He smirked beneath his hood. He remembered that line very well. ”I will carve my name into your corpse… So they know who killed you…”His rebuttal was just as quick as her quip. ”And like that Warriors’ sword’s previous owner, I shall show you that you are just as powerless as he was!”[Story Battle HERE] raven8sp.proboards.com/thread/9903/defeat-kidnapper-story-battle

(( Returning from here ))
" ... "
What was once a sandy, healthy beach was now a trench-infested wasteland with a massive abyss splitting the ocean from the sand, originating at the point between Warrior's feet, and extending triangularly outward fore miles beyond the horizon.
What hid within the abyss was anybody's guess, but no trace remained of what was standing over it just prior.
There was no sign of the kidnapper, so Warrior counted him as dead. But it was at the cost of two more deaths: Feint's and Xylia's.
Victory at a cost was still a victory nonetheless, in his book, though. Ultimately, Cherish Pele would wake up in the Real World with serious trauma, but she'd survive. And Xylia, at the end of the day, was a Net Navi, so those could be rebuilt.
And that worried Warrior. Because his enemy was a Net Navi as well, and who was to say that he also couldn't be rebuilt?
" ... "
Warrior turned his head as he heard Faith Nymphra silently approach him. The look on her face spelled disappointment. She shook her head in disgrace, not needing to say a word from him to know why she felt that way toward him right now.
There wasn't time for words. Cherish would be in bad condition in the Real World, and she'd need someone to watch over her after the mental trauma she'd just endured. Without further ado, Faith pulsed out of the Cyber World to go nurture her would-be sister-in-law.
" Well... "
It wasn't without guilt, but ultimately, everyone here had done what they come to do, right?
" We did it... I guess? "
But something about the victory felt so... unsatisfying.

"We..." a gentle hand reached for her forehead, "...did?"
It hurt. Her head hurt! She was lost in confusion like she had just awaken from a drunken stupor. Her eyes went left to search for the kidnapper, but there was no sign. They went right to find to kidnapper, there was Phoebe! There was a sign of something, right?
Still, her head hurt.
"We did..." her head pounded, "...it?"
Phoebe was safe and the enemy was gone...but how?
Megami could not remember anything at this point. She had remembered fighting, declaring she would support her friends. Her memory a haze, but she do remembered being determined to see things through! She would fight valiantly to protect them, but yet...everything else seemed to become...foggy. She looked to everyone: some faces the same and new ones among them. Her hand came down as she gazed towards Warrior.
"Warrior-san..." her face twisted in confusion, "...when did we?"
Well, fought together. That was all they done, right?
"M-Megami...chan...?"
That shrill voice was all she needed to hear.
With a smile, Megami had weakly turned to the screen to see Xenneth's face. He seemed worried, but that was usual. Her heavy body turned with a slow stumble. She was tired, and not to mention the battle took so much out of her. Of course she would be off balance! With a weak smile, mustered with the little strength she had, Megami had gazed towards the open screen of the violet haired boy.
"D-do not worry, Xen-kun," weakly she spoke with a peppy tone, "...I am fine."
Still his face was unchanging. That dreadful look remained as he stared towards the female NetNavi.
"But-"
*Bzzzzzzzzzt!~*
The sound had been buzzing for quite a while, but Megami just had noticed. She had looked to the source of the glow that came from her torso. Imbedded within it was the shape of a long glowing instrument that came through her body. Her eyes had widened in sure shock! She would have of course remembered who put that there, but she did not...no more than she could even remember, suddenly, that this was the polearm of Tsuki that she was fortunate enough to be able to use.
"Oh...dear..." her vision blurry as she stared at her mangled, protruded torso, "Was...I...not....no-"
........*THUD!!!*
"MEGAMIIII!!!~"
Xenneth cried out as the female NetNavi collapsed right on the scorched sands of the beach. Her body laying on its side in a heap while her form reverted to the tattered and torns robes with her alternated form vanishing in an instant. The female NetNavi's body had been ripped open with a space where the spear once was, and her leg twitching as she was on the verge of losing conciousness, not to mention deletion. The small bits of data that left her torso had begun to rise from her body and break away into four various colors of red, blue, green, and yellow.
She seemed to be holding herself together by some miracle, but it could only last so long.

K-414 had only just hit the ground, his form ready to scramble back toward the battle where he'd been so unceremoniously flung, when the conversation between two Navi he'd never met caught his ear. He paused, glancing back now as he realized that their opponent, whoever he was, had grabbed two of their own. One didn't seem to want to agree to sacrificing them, but the other felt that it was a necessary thing. K-414 couldn't help but to agree, here. If there was a foe that was deemed powerful, you simply threw everything you had at it, and if others got in the way, that was their fault- they should have been stronger.
He gave a small growl then, about to chime in, when the warrior he had about to agree with made his decision, unleashing a powerful, distortion-ridden attack that seemed to tear apart the very shape of the world around them. Of course, K-414 showed little emotion other than disappointment that the fight was over so quickly after he'd joined in it. The strange sort of goo that had been launched his way had been dissolved in Warrior's attack, leaving there nothing between himself and the enemy that he had been so excited to assist in defeating and now it was...over. "What a waste," the beast growled.
Some might think he meant the loss of two of their own, but to the feral navi, he simply meant that the battle had such promise- had been a place where he could fight full-out and not worry about harming anyone (unless they got in his way) but now, that fight was over. It had been a wasted endeavor for him to even show himself.
The beast shook his hide, turning a pair of crimson eyes to Warrior. "Won in a way that befits the bastard," he growled. "A coward's way to use others for a shield, and a cowardly way of defeat." He had his enjoyment cut short, and he was irritable, now. His gaze then turned to the woman who had been impaled, and he gave a small grunt, watching as she lay upon the ground, her body seemingly going through death throes. "Death claims the weak, woman," the beast growled, not having any sympathy for what she had endured. Such was K-414's way. "Do not be weak." he growled, the wounds that he'd received from the Navi already beginning to regenerate, albeit slowly.
The others may move to assist her; he would not.

Warrior’s response did not register in Merrill’s ears until it was too late. The blade had been swung. Her Fate had been sealed. All Merrill could see was white light. He screamed, to no avail and no one heard him due to the roar of Warrior’s attack.
”Xylia!”
It seemed like an eternity that the light was there. He had half hoped the bastard would have teleported them all to safety or something. But as the light faded and the network came back to be, nothing had remained. Merrill was in complete shock. In fact, he stood there like a statue, trying to register or understand what had just happened. His body lost all glow, his energy, so strong, powerful and fluid, vanished. He stood there, in his basic form, Life and Death lay at his feet.
He had failed, yet again. He was 0/3 on saving people as of late. He had lost everyone dear to him. Healer, Defender, and Xylia. He failed to save or protect them. And Xylia… Her death was because of someone he had trusted. He had trusted Warrior… And Warrior had betrayed him… betrayed what they believed in.
His best friend. His ally. His rival. Warrior was all of these things. They had fought together against many foes. They fought evil and had tried to save the world against Eon. They had sparred many times and almost all of them had come out as ties. They had a very tight bond.
Until this moment. That bond took a severe blow just now.
Merrill firmly believed that Warrior had made a terrible decision. Sacrificing hostages was not acceptable, unless they had chosen that path. And Xylia had not chosen that path. In fact, Merrill only saw terror in her eyes...
Tears and frustration welled up in Merrill. He was unable to save anyone. He had failed them all. He worked so hard to get stronger so he could protect others. But in the end, he could not save anyone. His skills were simply not enough. He was weak.
He could not bother to look at anyone, in his state. He teleported out in a flash of light.

Warrior ran hastily to Megami's side upon seeing her physical state -- his heart half stopped during his final attack -- she had almost been caught in the blast radius, but fortunately was able to make it out in time. Less fortunately, though, she seemed to have been impaled by her own weapon during all the commotion.
" Megami! "
As he came within arm's reach, though, everyone present was immediately alerted to the global message sent out by Juno from Elysium.
"Pleasant morning. I would like to take this fine day, to invite all members of navi-kind to my home in Elysium, the final salvation of the living. This morning, an interloper attempted to finish myself, by destroying the servers in our great Electopian hall of knowledge, the National Combined School. In an act of hatred for navi-kind, humanity has risked its own kind in order to kill a single navi. The Netopian International Agency was behind this attack on the great independent state of Electopia. Isn't that a shame. Happily, this act of reckless disregard for human life and national sovereignty will cease to exist in a mere few hours. The Elysium servers, now safely imprisoned behind walls of flame and the impregnable fortress that is Dr. Tenma's server room, is happy to announce the termination of the Program: Earth. For those navis that choose to ascend from their earthly home, this unit invites you to Elysium, as within the next few hours, everything else on Earth will... cease to exist. For those humans who have had the unfortunate luck of living in these end days, I wish you the sincerest condolences. Best of luck in the next life."
Warrior looked back to Megami's unconscious body after the message had ended.
" ... "
He had to respond to Juno's threat. But he couldn't just leave Megami behind -- he'd accrued feelings for this net navi after the time they'd spent together, and even though (unbeknownst to him) those feelings weren't mutual, they were still there.
" ... "
He felt powerless in this situation. He had nothing he could offer to help her right now. He had no restorative abilities and, frankly, not much knowledge in repairing Navis either. As badly as he wanted to, there was nothing he could do.
" I'm sorry Megami... there's nothing I can do for you here... "
He put his hand gently on her leg only to stop the twitching, then looked back to the message that Elysium had sent out -- Juno's face still smiling on the other side of the screen.
" ... but out there, there is. "
There were others here that could help her. Merrill, Phoebe, Fulgur -- they were all capable of healing others, so surely they'd respond to aid Megami where Warrior couldn't. Meanwhile, he would rise up to respond where he could: in Juno's front yard.
Warrior turned his face to Xenneth, who still looked petrified at Megami's condition.
" ... "
... but no words came. There wasn't much confidence in Warrior's eyes, but there was hope. That was all he and Xenneth had right now -- neither of them able to do anything for her in their current state. The one, divided by the border between worlds, the other, simply incapable of administering helpful treatment.
Warrior looked back to the others in the destroyed area before he made his leave.
" I'm going to confront the man threatening my world. Somebody step up and help Megami. "
It was more of a request than a command, but that was all the words he had time for. In a flash of white light, Warrior beamed out of the area in pursuit of the satellite that Juno threatened to destroy earth with.

K-414 gave a small huff as he shook his head at the woman's condition. This whole situation seemed to be falling apart around them, now. The enemy was dead, and they were free to do whatever it was they wanted. The problem was, K-414 wanted, nay, needed to fight. He had to tear something apart. His entire body had been pushed to a full alert, and he was completely ready for combat, and it had been too quickly eliminated before he'd even had a chance to have any fun. Right now, he needed to see if he could find something, somewhere, to devour, even if it was a paltry mettaur.
However, as he took a step away from the site of the battle, he was suddenly accosted with the view of a Navi that he had seen a few times during his tenure here on the net. Juno. The man began to speak on the various things that had happened, but all-in-all, K-414 wasn't paying the slightest bit of attention to what the man was saying. What he /was/ paying attention to, was the fact that Juno was right there, and flaunting all this power that he had. That made K-414 excited. He could feel the power beginning to rush through him, the excitement of being able to pit himself against such a foe.
"K-414, are you listening to me?"
Richard's voice broke through the gleeful excitement, causing K-414 to glance to his NetOP. He heard Warrior talking behind him, but the wolven navi paid him no attention. "What?" the wolf snapped, irritated at his fantasy of tearing through Juno's data being interrupted.
"Did you see the announcement?" Richard's voice was strangely panicked. It was unlike him.
The wolf grunted. "I did, but I didn't pay attention."
"Juno has a space satellite aimed for Earth. If we don't stop him, we're going to die."
The wolf blinked. "So?"
"K, don't give me that crap. The entire Animus Syndicate wants you in Elysium. Now. Put a stop to whatever he's doing."
The wolf gave a small growl, stalking away from the others then, ignoring Warrior's request as he came to a stop. "So you're giving me free reign to go wild?"
"Do whatever you need to do."
K-414 grinned. "Hell yeah."

Ful stood beside Phoebe, eyes wide in both awe and fright. That attack....How could someone be so powerful?!? It appeared that he still had alot of growing to do...The young navi was nowhere close to being capable of pulling something like that off.
But at least that scum had been erased...Wait! The...the hostages...Oh ...no...He clenches his hands, looking down. They'd been deleted too...This was a complete tragedy...
Then comes even more bad news. The one who'd apparently been responsible for even more bad things delivers a chilling message. He shakes his head, eyes wide. No way...no...way...What kind of insanity would drive a navi to even consider something like that?! Why would he...
Ful had to...had to do...well,something! He had to fight back, somehow, stop more bad things from happening...But,as this battle had showed him, there wasn't alot he could do...
At warriors request,he blinks, then nods."Y-yes!!!Good luck, s-sir!!" Running over to Megami, he gently holds one of her hands, closing his eyes and focusing. The boy tried his best to send as much energy and regen as he possibly could through the point of contact.

Re....ting...10 percent!
The voice was in her head.
Repeating...getting louder...coming from the darkness like the quietness of a dream to the ears of a dreamer. No one else knew of it, but it was there! The images, the serenity, the thoughts that came together to make what weird fantasy come true. It was hard to believe it was real! Unthinkable, but here she was. She was laying back as she opened her beautiful blue eyes, looking to her savior. A silhouette that was her first time seeing so close, but she smiled gently as if she known it her whole life.
Re...booting...progress...percent
The voice was in her head...and it was louder.
Well, who cared?! The only voice she wanted to hear was from the soft pink lips she gazed upon as the electric blue eyes of the figure had become apparent. Those features came into color like the sun had hit them from the distant dawn: violet hair, feminine-like frame, and not to mention that gentle voice! He was hear and that was all that mattered! His lips moved and she swore she could hear his voice! She heard it! She heard-
Rebooting....rebooting...progress at 75%
Okay...that definitely was not his voice.
Still, his touch was everything she imagined!
Those delicate little fingers touched her face! She knew it! She did not mind at all as her cheeks flushed red and his thumb pressed to her cheek! It took her a while to register other things like the scenery around him. She was laying in...grass? No! Sand! No...mud? Who cared! It could be mud for now! All she wanted was him to keep touching her! Touch her anywhere he liked! A coy little smile danced across her face thinking about just how indulgent she was in this moment! She would speak to him this time instead! That's right! She looked to him and said...
ERROR....ERROR....ERROR
No...wait! She meant...
ERROR!!!
She had to tell him!
"ERROR!!!" she screamed, "Anomally programming detected!!!"
She gasped.
Her dream broke away and there in its place was her cruel reality that was probably God's award winning prank for a desperate heart. The female NetNavi had tossed her body forth with that scream as she took in her surroundings. It all was familiar to her now: the smell of the ocean breeze, the crunch of the sand, and the after taste of a ferocious battle. The sands were charred black in some places, dented by impacts, and not to mention her body still would lay in what was her grave had she not been fortunate enough to see the figure beside her: Fulgar.
"Megami! Stop moving!"
The cry of the voice was probably not the best that the female wanted to hear...not in that tone anyway. As she heard Xenneth's voice, the female NetNavi looked to Fulgar and then to herself as she had found it difficult to lift her hands. They felt weighted...no? Weak! She lifted her weak hands as she looked at them with a glance and motioned them to the source of her lack of strength.
"This...is...a...hole..." she let her fingers dance around the opening, "In my chest...?"
At first, it was difficult to believe, but it had finally registered. The female NetNavi gazed at the opening and stroked at the ends as she recalled a faint drea-...no...a nightmare. It was a nightmare, right? She could remember that fury, that rage! Like the other time, she had spared no foe, nor friend, from her onslaught when she was fighting in the city...and now here.
She felt even weaker, more limp as Megami let her hand drop from the opening.
"Megami-chan! Does it hurt?" Xenneth screamed, "I know it's healing, but..."
The violet haired boy was right.
The hole within the female NetNavi's chest was coming to a slow close as he spoke. The edges of it danced with coding and data that begun to unravel from a strange black essence coming from the diamond shaped crest that was burned onto her bosom. Her mind recalling the words that Miss Embera gave to her; all of it now like a slap in the face as if the female NetNavi could have called herself a fool for not noticing just what the fiery NetNavi meant!
Well, she did now.
"I-it is okay...Xen-kun..." she sulked, "I...I am going to get use to the pain."
Lowly, Megami's attention turned from the video display as it went from the violet haired boy to the figure before her. She smiled gently a Fulgur, but any fool who was blind would see it was forced.
"You saved me?" she had asked the NetNavi, "T-thank you. I-I cannot recall your name...but you are familiar. We battled together...yes?" The memory was vague, but she at least knew, for a moment, this NetNavi was her ally in some time in the close past before she became twisted once more.
If he dared spoken to her, even a word. Surely that meant he forgave her, right?
