Xenneth was hesitant to reply, but not because of the quakes and tremors. The violet haired boy was ready to get the mission over with and he certainly felt he had more of a chance dealing with Gate with his newfound friends. The boy was quick to cling to the group, ready to rush off with them as he was not much of a leader…not at all. Still, he was willing to try his best. His mind going between a nervous wreck and a squeamish determination to prove he was not just dead weight. His legs positioning themselves to stay alert and keep balance while his right hand reached to the wall of the hall.
It was time to actually make a difference for once!

Well, even though Shakeem didn't expect much of a response to inquiry about the 'Tenma Protocol',he didn't expect to be left high and dry either.
'I suppose that can wait for another time...!' the young man pondered to himself,as the building's lights flickered again.
Heeding Octavius' words,Shakeem hurried up the stairs as well. Even though they were heading off in different directions (and whatever was down the rabbit hole seemed potentially interesting too-!), they had their mission to attend to and even Glassman promised he'd stick to the mission.

“H-hey! Wait for me darnit!” Hado as yelled as he smash the door open. “I don’t even know what’s going on! I just went in here looking for my Navi because my stupid PET never freaking works!”,Hado said as he tried to pull out his PET, he ended up dropping it onto the floor due to his shaking hands. Hado quickly picked the PET back up and tried turning it on, “My Navi’s name is Rainman, he’s a blue guy, really nice, and he has a habit of getting himself in stupid situations-Oh I forgot to introduce myself. The name is Hado, you may of heard of me you may have not but-” Hado was then cut off by the sound of his PET turning on. Hado was greeted again by an exhausted picture of Rainman. Rainman was covered in slight scrapes but overall was fine.
“Ha-Hado! I did it! I finally figured out a way that we can become known again!” Rainman was ecstatic. He was exhausted after all that’s happened, but now, after two years of searching Rainman did it. They will know their names-
“Rainman darnit not again! I already told you I was done with being...known!” Hado yelled as he started to glare at Rainman. Hado was about to open his mouth and yell more before he stopped himself. Hado then quickly composed himself in front of the crowd by pulling his hair backwards. Hado was already sweating a bit from all the walking he did and being inside a dark humid building didn’t help either.
“Hado think about it! I found some nice cool friends along the way too! Don’t you want to be known again? Have people call your name out on the street, wouldn’t that be great?” Rainman said excitedly. Hado merely sighed while fixing his hair. But his calm attitude didn’t last for long as the building continued to shake more and more.
“I’m going to go and stop this guy. Don’t worry Hado I’ll..I’ll make you proud.”
“! Rain-” But Hado was too slow. Rainman left and went with the other Navis to go and fight Gate. Now Hado started to freak out again, what was going to happen to Rainman? Hado then turned and ran up the stairs to where he presumed Rainman was at.
“Hey guy don’t wait up!” Hado said as he climbed up the stairs, his anticipation and worry of what lied ahead grew with ever step he took. But if that little girl could show courage, couldn't he as well?
"Guy! I said wait-..What's your name anyways?!" Hado said as he nearly tripped on a step, but manged to recover just in time.
This hectic environment was a bit much for Jameson. He addresses those getting ready to confront Gate.
"Can some of you take the Navis in my PET? I'll transfer them to you. As for me, I'm going down the rabbit hole..."
MirrorMan pipes up from the PET.
"Whatever you think is best. We've already proven to ourselves that we don't really need to be an Operator-Navi combo to get things done. It was nice to finally reconnect with you though, so don't go and get yourself killed and we'll do our best to ensure we've still got a world to live in."
Sighing, Jameson is visibly discomforted by Mirror's subtle criticism. It was true, they really weren't as much of a team as they had been in the past. This was Jameson's own doing, of course, and he had his reasons, but it still hurt to be keeping his friend in the dark about... Maybe he could tell him about it. But now wasn't the time, if they all survived he could tell him then.
Feint nodded to Shakeem as he went to go after Gate, inaudible saying "It's in your hands now".
"The Association for Ethics in Science and Disaster Prevention"... their mission sounded similar enough to Seth's. No wonder they went to him then. So here she was, "Daddy's Little Girl", helping to fulfill that goal after all.
She'd already agreed to help Octavius out though, and she wasn't one to go back on her word. Besides, preventing over-powered Navis from existing wasn't entirely something she was against anyway.
So down the rabbit hole she went.

Our heroes enter into the crater below, finding themselves on a narrow platform lit on either side by strips of fluorescent light. Below is a massive gap. Don't look down. Away from the group, near a large, black square server rack is the girl Tenma. Alarmed, Octavius calls out:
Sprinting towards her at breakneck speed, Octavius only finds himself the victim of an electric strike. White lightning arcs from around the girl without caution, torching the earth on which she stands. The girl sits in the fetal position, crouched down, in tears.
Ciel: "I will not die AGAIN!"
As the girl's emotions grew to a fever pitch, so too does the energy arcing around her. A stray bolt strikes the server.
Somewhere, a cosmic force sits up in his chair. Something had gone wrong.
The generator, overloaded by the girl's emotion, begins to alight, spark, and explodes in a million white fragments, like fireworks going off in your face. The radiation in the area becomes so strong that navis may exit their PETs, and are forced out, standing upon the empty space of the corridor.
The server destroyed... there would be no way to stop gate now. The only door out of the room was locked with a purple keyswitch - a keycard that no one had picked up along the way.
And now, the meteor falls.
This was the end, our heroes had failed, just by a stroke of bad luck. In their final moments, their true emotions are revealed.
Once queens, once kings, once overlords, once warriors, builders, poets, even the goddess wasn't above the carnage.
This was the bad end. Somewhere along the way, this universe had split from the timeline, and all those were doomed by simple means of existence.

Our heroes awaken, if but for a moment, as if in a dream.
In front of them stands a figure, bathed in white, cloaked in white with golden chains wrapping the entirety of his being. In his hand a vinyl record. This simple record was their universe.
It was cracked and broken into shards. Orange corruption flowed through some parts - The Nightmare in Creamland. Some parts were missing altogether - the Gate's Gambit.

Elusive was reality...
Megami felt groggy and weak as she saw the light, heard the words, and moved her fingers that felt as if they had not been so in a millennia. She blinked, but it was in a sheepish manner, barely making out nothing more than a blur and a disc tattered to pieces. Fix what was broken? To a Goddess, the answer was obvious. Always there was a reply to seek perfection, to try to make things right, and have everything fit into place. Just like the proper divine being, she would play God, perfectly...
She begged in her mind, wanting to add “please” as her thoughts only could fathom one person in mind when she would think dearly about someone she cared about, wanting to elude danger to his being. To have him live in a world with little to no worry. Not to mention, to one day work towards having that perfect world where she could hold him. Him with little understnading who sought perfection too, but of something different, prepared to speak with true righteous, intention...
The Goddess and servant agreed, even if they had different motive.
*Embera had waited for her time to finish Gate, but it never occured. She felt the destruction, she felt oblivion. It was warm, but cold. This ethereal feeling she could not touch, but be touched by. A voice passed through her. A sacrifice? Easy enough. Things will be different? It was those words that resonated with her, put her in a state of reflection. She was born by accident, her life was one of pointlessness, seeking her own validation and purpose. But she found one. It was by his side, with a family purely loyal. Something she wouldn't ever want to change in a million years. Embera was stone-like in her resolve, and uttered out to the voice.*
Clearly the only answer to continue the path to what you despise most and become the most powerful being on site so no one can beat you so you can play the game fairly. fist pump ~Shast
