Shakeem could almost sense Cherish's glare, but wasn't sure where she was at the time...so he decided to not acknowledge it too much. However, as she spoke from behind him,he turned to face her, somewhat surprised to find her behind him now...
As she mentioned using the keycard in the closet-like room, Shakeem nodded in agreement with her suggestion, surveying the three nearest to him. It seemed Xenneth was the only one preoccupied, though hopefully they'd find out what was up with Ms Tenma...
"Okay then, as soon as we're all done,we'll go into this room here...don't take too long now." Shakeem spoke, mainly towards Xenneth,as he attempted to wait patiently.
'Hopefully,he gets something useful out of whatever he's doing...' the young man pondered, silently.
Ms. Tenma fell into him from behind, and Jameson quickly turns around and supports her. Having heard the gun misfire when Shakeem tried to handle it, he wondered if Ms. Tenma perhaps was struck by the stray bullet, and found himself worrying more.
"You okay, miss? C'mon, let me help you, we're moving up. You can walk, right?"
~Music For Sara~ "What are you doing here!?" Sara would hear the translated voice. "Why are you here!?" No, wait, this was the translated voice. Before Serix even had the chance to translate, the masked assailant was asking Serix the question in a language she could understand.
"Are you trying to get yourself killed!? You see three big, heavy, armed guys, and you run at them!?" The man yelled, with a sincerity in his inflection. Sighing, he calms down slightly.
"Name's Orph. I'm here to help." He takes off his mask, showing his face to Sara, and holding out his hand to help her up. The guard outside has no idea, hiding behind a thick metal door.
Shakeem accessed the <Blue Terminal> Blue doors unlocked!
>Thank you for using Tenma Technology!
The girl attached at Jameson's hip slowly steadied herself upward. With a sort of false excitedness, she exclaimed "I'll be fine... *huff* just a... heart condition." She seemed to be fine, and certainly hadn't been wounded by the stray bullet. But she seemed oddly closed off and secretive about her existence - no one in the room even knew her name!
Unlatching from Jameson, she slowly tiptoes towards Cherish's position, peeking into the next room from behind her.
"If you're here to help, then why am I still cuffed? Now that I think about it, with as little effort as it took to take down one of your 'friends', you must be the one that blocked my knife. That's some quick thinkin' there. Now then, if you would be so kind, I'd like to get out of here, and take out as many of your 'friends' along the way as possible."

“It is a map, Xen-kun!”
The violet haired boy sighed in relief. It could have been worse! It could have been a bunch of data that was a trap! It seemed that things were working out for Xenneth after all. Looking to the P.E.T., Xenneth had an idea as he remembered something. “That strange space!” the violet haired boy cried, “Remember what that strange animal thing said? It mentioned that it was a space that other NetNavis could enter to communicate with one another. So, what if, we could use it to communicate the map details?”
Megami nodded with a smile. She knew it! Xenneth could do anything.
“Okay then,” he said taking the nod as approval, “Connecting to Interim Network…and…this is Xenneth! Net Operator for Megami.EXE! I am making the Local Map data be available in the Interim P.E.T. dataspace. Please, NetNavis, inform your Net Operators of the map details to help navigate the area!”
The violet haired boy went back to the P.E.T. space before him as he connected Megami right back to the system. With wonder, he was a bit concerned if about staying accessing the space with this being enemy territory, but with how he looked to his right to see Jameson there, he still felt confident and secure. He even given a gentle smile to show he was staying calm, when deep inside, he was truly nervous. Pressing a single button, he accessed Megami back into the system.
“Umm…I-it was Jameson…right?” Xenneth asked nervously as he looked to the individual, “C-can you perhaps not go far? I-I’m sorry, but I am going to use Megami to Virus Bust. I want to see if I can free up some space on the network and find anything that will help. I can’t operate while I am…um…well…distracted.”
He blushed a bright red, embarrassed to admit his uneasiness and fear of being in such a place. He just hoped this person would not think less of him.

Slipping the blue keycard into his pocket afterwards,Shakeem peeked from the room he was in towards the corridor, noting the blue door not too far away.
'Cherish did say for us to stick together, but maybe just a peek...' he pondered..but something else in the back of his head warned him against doing so just yet.
Backtracking through the room with the blue card reader, Shakeem nearly bumped into Xen's 'gf',standing against the wall,as he whispered to Cherish.
"So,there's a blue door across from this room...but it looks like we've got more than one option as far as advancing. And..." he paused as he cautiously glanced down the corridor in the direction the gun had traveled... "...the area down there looks slightly suspicious. There might be something or someone in that direction..."
Even though he hadn't seen the green door, what he did see (and judging from the fact that there was a room that was seemingly hidden) told him they'd have to keep an eye out for anymore surprises...but they couldn't afford to dilly-dally either.
"I'll check what's down there, maybe one of you could check what's behind the blue door?" he continued. Even though he didn't say it, he wasjust a liiiiittle suspicious of quickly the young-lady-whose-name-they-didn't-know had 'recovered'...but maybe it was nothing.
Cherish heard the panel just barely from outside of the closet. Sounded like Shakeem had gotten it to work.
She was aware of Ms. Tenma standing behind her, but unfortunately too apathetic to have ever gotten her name. She was a little uncomfortable about how close she was though.
"You wanna give me some space?"
Shakeem came in before the girl had any time to respond, so Feint redirected her attention without ever actually following through with her question.
"So, there's a blue door across from this room...but it looks like we've got more than one option as far as advancing. And...the area down there looks slightly suspicious. There might be something or someone in that direction... I'll check what's down there, maybe one of you could check what's behind the blue door?"
"Alright then, this is your chance to redeem yourself. Pick the gun up carefully, like this --"
Cherish demonstrated with her own gun how to properly pick up the one on the other side of the room without it firing off randomly again. Being a girl that's worked with a wide-variety of fire arms before, she at least knew how to hold one without it discharging like that; it wasn't a hard thing for Shakeem to grasp either, unless fate just really didn't want him having a gun during this little quest.
Even if the gun was broken now, it was at least interrogating enough just to be holding a gun that any human wouldn't run up and charge at him. Well, any intelligent human at least.
"-- and I'll be needing your knife. I'm going to do something about the guy lying on the floor over there."
She assumed it was a guy, at least. And it was nothing drastic, of course.
The knife was in his left pocket, right? Cherish had seen him put it there when Nymphra gave it to he and Jameson earlier. She didn't really wait for permission from him -- she just grabbed it and then continued on with her dialogue, directing the last part at Tenma.
"We'll worry about the blue door in a moment, unless you wanna go snoop around or something. Just don't get into trouble."
Cherish made her way into the closet and started cutting off long strands of yarn from the mop head. The term "ghetto" had nothing on her. But she really needed something to tie down the hostile's hands with, and of course there wasn't a hose or anything like that in here. Sometimes you just needed to be resourceful with what you had.
Collecting her material, she made it over to the unconscious person.
Unconsciousness, from a blow to the head, could keep a human down for anywhere from a second to the rest of their life. There were many things to consider: the location of the blow, the strength and size of both the attacker and the victim, and whether or not the victim hit their head a second time when falling to the ground. Cherish was smart, but she wasn't a super-computer, so she couldn't just calculate those factors in her head even though she had most of the required information.
Judging by her own past experiences, she'd assume this person to stay out for at least another five minutes (and that was even assuming Sara could hit as hard as she could), but even if they came to their senses sooner, the mental fatigue would render them practically disabled for a few more minutes anyway. So unless they were just pretending to be unconscious this entire time, she'd have enough time to constrain the wrists and ankles of this unfortunate individual.
Now, yarn wasn't the strongest material to bind somebody with, whether it was wool or cotton. A single strand wouldn't do the job, but four or five wrapped around the limbs (and then fastened together by a perpendicular strand between the limbs, much in the manner you would "frap" when lashing two sticks together) would take hours to get out of (if it were even possible for how tight Cherish had made it).
She took the rest of the mop head and shoved it in the poor person's mouth, using a few of the attached strands to tie it around the back of their head so that they couldn't just spit it out when they woke up and, naturally, wanted to scream for help. It'd muff their voice just enough that you wouldn't be able to hear them from outside of the closet (that she was now dragging the helpless soul into after tieing them up) unless you were specifically listening for them -- not to mention it'd gag them for making the attempt -- but she made sure it didn't suffocate them so long as they only breathed through their nose.
One Choinese hostile tied up and locked in the closet. When a language barrier prevents you from interrogating somebody, that's how you deal with it.
... Now why the heck wasn't anybody else in this closet like she'd told them to be earlier?!
Flashing a thumbs up,Shakeem edged his way down the corridor, keeping his back against the wall and his wits about him. Attempting to pick up the gun as Cherish instructed him to do,Shakeem kept his grip on it and slipped back to the wall he hugged on his way to the broken weapon.
From the corner,he glanced in the direction of what was currently an unknown room, doing his best to stay concealed in the event of there being either a camera or more hostiles...
Orph: "Yeah, no. Not after that one. We're getting out of here before the boss gets here."
For a guy, Orph was fairly pretty. Blonde and fair-faced. But he was also the voice of reason in this case, looking towards Sara with a strong glare, he stated his position, and that was that.
Orph: "Just put this mask on, and lay low, I'm getting you out of here, alive. Just... follow me." Handing Sara a mask while he chuckled a slight to himself, he uncuffed her, and turned to exit the room. Sara was obliged to follow.
The group, now taking a moment to look to their surroundings, find that they had entered an abandoned school-house, once part of a great Kotobuki reclamation project, but now decrepit. How large the building truly was, remained unseen.
Roze answered to Rainman. "Yes, you're in Tenma's PET. You entered this through the gate in Kotobuki."
Tenma blushed as Cherish told her off, not realizing how close she had truly gotten. With a sigh, she stepped to investigate the locked room to the south. However...
Megami >Virus Busting
Tenma: "Aie! We have a problem!"
Suddenly, as Megami was to activate virus busting, the building erupted, shaking, lights flickering, and...
Metools appeared! Yellow and helmeted, they turn towards Tenma, surrounding her!
Then, bad turns to worse. As Shakeem goes to pick up the black M16 gun, he finds it is broken, and unusable. When he lifts his head however, he would find two militants, one boy and one girl, looming above him, having exited from the room!
Though the girl looks a little familiar...
"TALK TO ME IN ENGLISH!"
Near Hado, a mysterious man with long white hair talks on a cell phone. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S A GIRL!?" Nearly crushing his PET in his grip, he shuts the thing off then starts a mad sprint towards the corrupted building. If Hado's curiosity got the better of him, he would follow...
Cherish held the headless mopstick in her hand as she headed toward the door that lead to the hallway. If more hostiles showed up, it'd be better to whack them in the head with the stick rather than outright kill them with the gun. As she went into the hallway and went to turn the corner, she heard a yelp from the room ahead.
"Aie! We have a problem!"
" ! "
Cherish quickly turned the corner to assess the situation.
Little miss mystery was surrounded by viruses, and Shakeem was face to face with two more hostiles. She had seen so many Viruses in the physical that her mind didn't question it; it was a regular thing to her by now.
Disabling five threats in a split-second was something anybody would have difficulty doing though. Maybe she could go for two, but that was really pushing it. Cherish advanced to the southwest corner of the room; the Metools blocked the peripheral vision of the hostiles (and their attention was on Shakeem right in front of them), so she was in their blindspot and had a clear shot if she chose to use her gun. Similarly, the east-most Metool had its back turned to her while also blocking her from the vision of the other two Metools. She was practically invisible right now, and added to that fact was her quietness while maneuvering.
She assessed the situation once more before taking action:
A clear shot... but she couldn't take it. Not while there was an alternative approach that didn't result in dead humans (ironic, considering her persona).
Electrical energy surged around her ankles as she dashed forward; the energy from the suit propelling her body like a tiger's pounce, giving her maximum forward momentum from a stationary position instantaneously. She took note of the two doors in her path and was ready to swerve around them if they suddenly swung open and poured out more hostiles.
As she approached the scene in a split second, the hostiles may have noticed her by the time she'd reach the Metool closest to her (not to mention that particular Metool noticing her as well). If this delayed their attack on Shakeem, it was worth it.
It was somewhat ironic that she found herself doing the same stupid thing that a certain other person did not too long ago, but in this case there was two lives at stake and she at least knew what she was running into, unlike Sara's rhino-charge.
Electrical energy enveloped her suit again, this time around her wrists as she pivoted and grabbed the west-most Metool; the one closest to the hostiles. Normally these things would weigh much more than expected, but the enhanced strength from her suit gave her just enough muscle to lift it up and use its hard head as a shield. Meanwhile the poor virus was slapping her in the face with its feet as it scrambled and kicked about, but she could handle a black eye and sore jaw if that's what it came down to.
One last pulse of energy came from the suit, draining the last of its stored energy to discharge a rocket-boost-esque blast from her feet, launching her at the hostiles with her ghetto-rigged "Met Shield" and, hopefully, sandwiching them between the wall and the fair-sized virus. The impact would be enough to knock them out for at least a half hour, but as mentioned before, she wasn't a super computer that could calculate the exact time they'd remain unconscious, she just went off of past experiences (or the closest thing she could relate to having a metool's head smash into yours, and then into the wall).
There was plenty of room for failure in her daring actions, but she at least had the element of surprise. If two allies weren't surrounded, maybe she'd have been able to approach the situation more carefully, but these were the times the bumrushing the enemy was the only real effective decision, so even though it put her in a potentially terrible situation (should it fail), there wasn't much else she could do that wouldn't result in at least one dead or captured person. There was no good outcome in the catch twenty-two, she just had to hope for the best.
If all went according to plan, she'd find herself in the following situation:
Legend: [M] Hopefully an upside down Metool and squashed hostiles
TLDR: Cherish grabs the headless mopstick because she doesn't like killing people when she doesn't have to. She sneaky sneaks to the southwest corner, runs like Lightning (the force of nature, not my wife) across the room, then grabs the Metool and MetTackles the hostiles a little bit more quickly than humanly possible. Her suit is now just for looks until it charges back up.
As the metool flies towards the hostiles, the female one pushes the male out of the way, carrying herself with him. She then removes her mask, showing that Sara is unharmed.
"Orph, these are friendlies. Well, except for the one dressed in black. I still expect her to stab us in the back at some point."
She made very certain that Cherish could hear her. At this point, she cared very little about anyone's feelings.
"First things first though."
She said as she pushed a button on her PET, causing an old and outdated Green Tempest uniform to appear over her normal attire with her navi's emblem on it. She then charged the remaining metool, jumping and half stomping on one before giving the other a boot to the face, if her kick were successful.

Lights flickering and quaking? This was out of control. Looking around the area, Xenneth could only imagine that the battle was getting out of hand or even that maybe it was just this “Gate’s” plans were going into fruition. The violet haired boy would have never imagined that he had anything to do with this phenomenon. His eyes looming towards the display, he had seen only one option left after Megami executed the others. He nodded his head, thinking he was making a big difference now (more than he imagined really) as he decided to execute the last command.
“Surely this might be of help! Maybe I can locate some First Aid!” he thought out loud as he slid his finger upon the display of Megami in the corner, “Let’s execute the final command on screen!”
The violet haired boy vied for the option while Megami smile and nodded in agreement.
<Megami.EXE – Execute command First Aid>
Now Listening To::AeonsbyNick Murray ft. Juliet Lyons Chatty Ditz (OOC):: -----
The ambush seemed to occur as quick as lightning-! Not only did two hostiles appear directly in front of him,but viruses materialized around their nameless comrade too!
As the conflict ensued,Shakeem dashed past one of the Mettools and attempted to punt it at the male hostile. It did seem odd that the hostiles hadn't tried to capture them though...maybe they were buying time? Whatever they were doing, they had to stay on guard now more than before.
~Music~ ?: "I am sitting; in the morning; at the diner; on the corner~"
A mysterious man walks through the mysterious halls of the mysterious building. Followed only distantly by Hado, his singing echoes through the hallways.
Meanwhile, in the main hallway...
Orph is just barely tugged out of the way by Sara, nearly tripping from the sudden force, and only barely keeping himself upright through a balancing act that seemed almost inhuman - his hips realigned to a central position without his legs so much as moving. His legs aligned themselves afterwards - any that watched would see it as uncanny valley. A contrast to his almost perfect appearance. Orph was well groomed, with blond hair and bright blue eyes. Dressed in a white tee and white jeans - his appearance was simple, but an angelic contrast to the gloom of the surroundings.
Standing directly next to Orph, Feint would hear an ungodly electrical hum that permeated around Orph's being. It was faint, but it seemed like she might not be the only one not entirely human.
?: "I am waiting; at the counter; for the man to; pour the coffee~"
In the centre of the mess was the young master Tenma. Her countenance looked as if she were to die - her face was pale and ashen. The palpitations in her chest made her want to vomit internally, she felt as if she might explode. Fear and dread filling her mind, she folded over, waiting for annihilation.
Her mind and soul wanted to fight - but her body couldn't handle it.
Just as Orph had regained balance, he found himself the target of yet another flying metool. Just barely making an X with his arms, he blocks the incoming virus made reality. There was a certain metallic sheen and sound to his defense, and even despite the great velocity of the met, he stood still.
?: "And he fills it; only halfway; and before; I even argue; -!"
The mysterious man made his way into the main hall, immediately alarmed at what he observed. There was more than just a girl, there was an entire gaggle of kids caught up in this building...
That was filled with armed hostiles.
Unloading his pistol into the air, as a warning shot. He yelled at everyone within his immediate vision.
?: "By the power of the Netopian Intelligence Agency, everyone here is under arrest!
-Except for you Orph."
Orph blinked in a sort of relief, but also of shame. Everything had just gone from bad to worse.
Tenma: "NO NO NO!"
The girl screams in the center of the hall - and only then does the mysterious man realize his mistake - too late.
He yells, vying for her attention, but it's too late.
In her hand is a ball of electricity - similar to the one Xenneth had seen her shut down an entire school with earlier - but this time it was concentrated. The grey energy arced around her, growing large enough to engulf the single remaining metool. Then it spread, at the speed of light.
A white flash.
And everything had shut down. PETs. The terminal. Even the nearby doors unlocked from lack of power. It seemed like Xenneth wouldn't be able to access the First Aid, no matter how hard he tried.
Within a few moments, the PETs would reactivate, with all navis safe and sound.
The viruses come alive, however, had dissipated in the flash.
Left in the center of the mess was a hole. She must have burned through the floor.
The mysterious man ran towards the smouldering remains and swore under his breath.
The High Priestess The High Priestess knows the answer to many mysteries; Fate has cast her as her own mystery... Within her lies the boundaries between Good and Evil. Truth and Deceit.
