Once the small home-town of the legendary heroes Lan, MegaMan, and so many others, ACDC has become something of a memorial-city to the history of the net.
The entire town still stands to this day exactly as it did so many generations ago, but it's now surounded by a much larger city, with the epicenter standing as the prime memorial. Statues to heroes of the past stand along the roads and countless memorials and museums stand in this glistening lime-stone white city.
While noone lives within the memorial to the old town, numerous apartment building and condos are set around the entire area, most fairly high-scale and expensive. There's a fairly heavy ONB presence within the city due to its historic nature, meaning it's also just about the safest city in all of Electopia.
NOTE: This is a real-world area!

*Within every major city of the net, screens appear and reveal the image of Terra, speaking over the emergency broadcast system*
Terra: Greetings to all of you. My name is Terra.
*The screen splits, revealing an official document next to Terra*
Terra: By order of the international senate, I have been named the new commander of the ONB, taking over for Ms. Suki due to suspicion of being unfit for duty and in light of the dire times in which we find ourselves.
It's my deepest regret to inform you that there is a large risk to the security of the net in our midst. The members of the Revolution have taken a harsh stand against us and are seeking to assassinate all ONB members, and we have also discovered several moles within the command. The entire world is at great risk at this point, and it's with a heavy heart that I must make this announcement.
As of this moment, all active ONB members are being temporarily retired for security reasons. I ask that you please relinquish your ONB credentials at New Life immediately and remain on standby until we have things under control. In response for the need that this will create, I have also brought on a set of ONB elite troops normally reserved for military action to act as officers. These officers will be sent to key locations across the globe soon in order to enforce peace and order within their regions.
I ask that all civilians please cooperate with these officers that they may better serve you.
Thank you for your time, and please remain safe.

”I’ve loved you for so long; So much that one question always eluded me… ” _______________________________ It was certainly windy today…
At times like this, one would wish to bring a better outer wear to guard against the strong gusts. The trees would have screamed with the way they were bent in the burst of breeze and whatever non-recycled litter had become entrapped in the twisting winds that made it difficult for the automatic cleaning bots to suck up the pollutants. A new wind was certainly blowing, and it showed no signs of stopping anytime soon with the way the day progressed. Just like that, a nice visit to the small ACDC town was instantly turned into a bothersome battle against nature.
He went right back into the fray the moment he opened the door; the violet haired boy’s jacket tail was shown no mercy as it was caught like an open chute. He had to hug his skinny sides with his arms while the cuffs of his sleeves had trickled along his wrists. His hair had been unfortunately caught in the funnel of wind making him have to reach for his head the next instant. Together, it seemed like he was doing a little silly follow-along dance as he tried to tough out the coming winds of the coming spring season, and with little success, the breezes had seemed to subside.
The last strong gust; a sigh of relief from his breath.
“It certainly has been loud and windy today,” he had commented with a shadow of omen in his voice, “…we should get home.”
He had come for what he needed within recent days. In days short, Xenneth had faced the reality that ONB Z-Licensed community tasks would be more difficult than he thought. He was only a civilian, but still he had to resort to acquiring and using battling skills in order to delete viruses and handle everyday problems that people seemed to have. It was better than the rest of the ONB jobs he heard of: battling criminals, stopping bad guys, and preventing world hunger; or at least that’s what some fellow students made it sound like at school. Almost everyone had a Z-License and feint that they had higher. He was in no competition, and certainly could care less!
He was just a High School Student. He lived an ordinary life in an ordinary Green Town house that was only two stories tall. His family seemed to inherit money for A-List tasks because of fame, and he was seldom to be in a spotlight, or any for that matter, because compared to his extraordinary family, he was so ordinary! Like he thought though, he did not want a spotlight. If anything, he wanted to barely exist in eyes! He just wanted to be left alone and live an ordinary life amongst friends. However, that was hard considering how people looked at him, thought of him differently, and certainly did not give him the time of day. He felt so uncomfortable around strangers and even more so around girls!
His “Buddy List” was very limited and he certainly did not have talent to stick out. A loner he was, Xenneth simply stuck to the simplicity of life: Megami.EXE.
He smiled thinking of the NetNavi, and reached to his side to see if his P.E.T was still strapped to his belt. With that assuring thought of one good friend and life being “good” so far, he had begun to take steps forth deciding to head home. Continuing to walk, until he could see the sunset that was before him and ducking behind the skyline rail terminal, and even more, a person before him who cast a shadow that crossed his own.
“Oh! Umm…” It was certainly strange. This person had a strong stance, mostly her legs spread with some boots and what seemed to be a school uniform in a shade of pink. Eyes piercing green with an expression that was serious. “...umm, excuse me. Sorry!”
Xenneth had spoke as if he bumped into her without even passing her. He never knew, he probably did! The one thing he hated most about this person was that she was female, and that made her emanate an aura that pushed him away. As he began sorting through his battle chips he bought, he hung his head trying to avoid eye contact with that scary gaze and simply made his way around her looking forth to the railway’s station.
“Xenneth “Marie” Hikari, age sixteen…”
“W-what?!” He had spat uneasily. Turning his head back and reeling his vision to the eyes of the brunette. She had not even turned around, and still stared ahead. He was hoping he was hearing things, but when would the wind utter his middle name?! He had been dumbstruck, staring, waiting for another response like the young woman was psychic and would tell him his future. His lower lip was in awe as he stood frozen in place.
“A student at Green Town High School. Your grade point average is two-point-seventy five, and you accel best at Math, but you totally suck at English, and you’re the worst at P.E. You have not been recorded to own a NetNavi, but you secretly keep one in your P.E.T that has been vacant until last Winter. Your mother is a model who frequently leaves her house and your current guardian is Material Arts Expert, Chezza “Belle” De Lu.”
“How is she doing that?!” Xenneth had thought on edge. This was certainly weird. The more he had stood watching her, the more he had wandered if the girl was some kind of stalker. With every fiber of his being, his legs urged him to run at this point, but honestly he could not. The young woman looked athletic and he was not very graceful. She knew he sucked at P.E. and now she was standing here telling him things that he could not think up off the top of his head because of his slow reaction.
“Xen-kun, is she a friend?” Megami’s voice had come from the electronic device on Xenneth’s side. He had been opted to answer, but ultimately he was too confused and flabbergasted to even fathom a word.
“No, I’m not Verdandi, Goddess of Fate.” Xenneth had tilted his head as he heard the response. The way the girl turned around and looked towards him and the P.E.T he had, she was surely referring to him and then to Megami. However, the name that was spoken was unfamiliar.
“I’m sorry, you must be mistaken…” the violet haired boy had begun to say, “…My NetNavi’s name is…”
“Xenneth! It’s that NetNavi!” The cry of Megami’s voice had erupted from Xenneth’s P.E.T. He had reached to his right hand and quickly let his eyes set upon the terminal. On the display space was Megami as well as another form that stood across from her. “That NetNavi from the Forest Area! She’s here!”
Xenneth had quickly had gazed towards the screen in horror trying to figure out where did the NetNavi come from. She was insane, especially with that raw strength she displayed within the Forest Area. Looking on towards his P.E.T, he worried for Megami and then looked towards the young woman trying to not take his eyes off her, but then came to a conclusion trying to put the mysterious arrival of the NetNavi together with the young woman.
“Is she…the NetOp?! B-but…when?” He had to think calmly, and a rational thought came to mind in that calm moment. The moment he passed the young woman thoughtlessly was when he let his guard down. The NetNavi most likely had been jacked into by a certain type of wireless jack. The strange wrist device that the young woman worn had assured that as it had digits like a P.E.T, but at the same time, it was more sleek and advance. He was careless, and even more so, unsure of what to do at this point.
“That data flow in the P.E.T is riddled with the NetNavi’s data, but nothing abnormal,” the voice had spoke from the P.ET. “The boy isn’t possessed yet, and even more…I don’t think this NetNavi even knows who I am.”
The mysterious girl’s eyes had shuttered lowly, “That’s…strange.” she had gazed on towards Xenneth who simply stood there dumbfounded. He cuffed his P.E.T in hand as if he was cuddling it endearingly, and she had stepped forth closing the distance between him. Each approach made his shoulders rise, but reading him, he seemed like he lacked any will to fight back. He had the school records and current appearance to prove his lack of courage.
“Take it easy kid,” she had said, “I just want to talk to you. Don’t believe me, then fine, I’ll introduce myself. My name is Adenah ‘Ai’ Heart, but just call me ‘AI.’ I really don’t like formal names, so I guess I’ll call you pinky.”
Xenneth had winced before reaching to his head playing with a strand of his violet hair. “People just call me, Xen.” he had stated, most likely giving the young woman a preferred name. She rolled her eyes while putting her hands on her hips. “Fine, Xen. Still, I want to ask you about that NetNavi you have and exactly where you got it from. Answer my questions, and I’ll leave you alone. Deal?”
An offer present, a ominous shadow that drawn close with each step the young woman had taken towards him, Xenneth was obliged to simply try to see how far he could get to at least get into public eyes. However, he was paralyzed and rooted with fear to the point he simply decided to talk his way out of things. Answer questions was easy, and it was not like the young woman wanted to know anything personal. She had already seem to acquire information. With a swallow clearing his throat and him lowering his arms, he simply nodded.
“Good,” Ai had said, “Let’s get down to business. When did you get that NetNavi and from where?”
“W-well, M-mom brought her for me,” he had lied, “I needed a custom NetNavi for school.”
Adenah’s eyes had seethed with an icy stare, and instantly, Xenneth felt the color drain from his face.
“You’re lying.” she had said, “Custom NetNavis like ‘that’ cannot be bought, and I can assure that. The Heart Corporation is yet to put any NetNavi up for supply to any store since they are still in the process of development, and that right there is a NetNavi developed by The Heart Corporation.”
Megami’s eyes widened in disbelief hearing the story, and even more so, gazing towards the red NetNavi as she seemed connected with this mysterious girl who had knowledge of something she wanted to know for so long. “Wait!” Megami had cried, “You know of my past? You know of my memories?” Megami had urged as the red NetNavi had folded her arms before her. Nodding, she had seemed to go silent.
“It’s fuzzy to me as well, but…I know whatever name that boy is calling you, it’s not it. You’re Verdandi; I remember you faintly like other registered NetNavis, but I know nothing of your creation no more than I know of my own. It’s speculated that foolish humans or viruses caused that damage in one of their experiments. I only remember becoming whole and my history with AI.”
Adenah had frowned hearing the reminder. It was almost like yesterday when she set The Heart Corporation’s labs ablaze.“Right. Regardless, your NetNavi is an escaped experiment that found its way to you. She probably has not possessed you yet because she’s unaware of her ability, but regardless…I’m taking her away before that happens.”
“What?!” Xenneth had screeched, “Take Megami-chan away?! B-but…you can’t! We’re friends and not only that, but she would never do anything you say like ‘possess’ me! I don’t even know if that’s possible.”
Adenah was adamant. “Of course you don’t! That’s why I’m tasked with finding and bringing back the NetNavis. Now we can make this easy or hard, but regardless, I need to bring that NetNavi with me back to Netopia. Hurry it up so I can find the rest and not waste time.”
This was bad! This girl had seemed pressed to make Xenneth do what she said. She had taken another step close to back up her threat and show she was without hesitation. That strong wind could no longer be contained as it started to build, and Xenneth had looked to his P.E.T seeing the red NetNavi start to burn with that familiar blaze. In no time flat, he was cornered in an awkward position, and the young woman had seemed close enough to snatch at his wrist as she opened her hand.
“What if we help?!” Megami’s voice cried out breaking the tense wind. Instantly, the trees stopped swaying heavily and the grass beneath their feet became a soft brush. “What if we were to help you bring back these “experiment” NetNavis? Can we not help?”
Ai’s eyes narrowed as she heard the NetNavi’s suggestion. “Megami-chan?” Xenneth had asked with peek curiosity as she had made the suggestion.
“Help me?” Ai had asked, “You don’t even know who you are completely, and nevertheless, you aren’t aware of your powers. What use would you be of to us?” Amaterasu had added with a dark tone making Megami drop her head trying to search for reasoning. With a determined gaze, she had approached Amaterasu almost sudden.
“I know enough, and you said you lack all your memories, so that did not stop you, no?” Megami had pointed out making Amaterasu fold her arms and listen willingly. She was piqued with more interest as she seen Megami’s kind smile. “Two is better than one! Myself and Xenneth are not registered with any Officials nor are we suspicious. I have become strong enough to defend what I love at the very least. Is that not enough?”
The female NetNavi had made a point, but Adenah was hesitant. Her eyes had gone towards the violet haired boy who coward with his P.E.T in hand coddling it and seem to keep his distance to the best of his abilities away from her.
“You’ll need a stronger Net Operator than that one,” she commented making the young boy’s head drop. He could not agree more, but Megami shook her head in disagreement.
“Xen-Kun is stronger than he seems,” Megami had continued to comment, “He protects me just like I protect him. He is learning quickly how to become an excellent Net Operator, and even more so, he knows me better than anyone else. Besides, would you be satisfied with myself in the hands of someone else who could potentially use me for other purposes other than Xenneth who is so kind?”
She may had lacked memories, but not the ability to talk herself out of a conversation so smoothly. Adenah lowered her hand and stepped back, but not long before reaching to her jacket pocket of her school uniform and brandishing a bracelet-like device. With straight beaming eyes she had approached the violet haired boy and wringed the strange device on his wrist. The sky blue color clashed so well with the one of his P.E.T as it snapped onto his wrist by force of the young woman.
“Fine, but he’s to use this to operate you.” Adenah had demanded, “It should give reaction time better with Battle Chips than any pathetic Net Operator I’ve ever seen. That and I can keep in contact with you when I need you. For now on, you’re working for me and The Heart Corporation. Also, stay as far away from ONB as possible, got it?”
Xenneth was not sure how to respond other than grabbing at his wrist and twisting it slightly to relieve if of the pain he felt from being grasped so forcefully. He was man handled by a girl. He simply nodded upon hearing her, and then gazed at her back as she turned around once again looking as if she was ignoring him, but that was obvious as she spoke once again.
“Furthermore, call me ‘Ai-Senpai’ for now on. I’ll be enrolling in your school to keep my eye on you. If…’Megami’ proves to have awaken to that nature of hers, I’ll delete her with Amaterasu and bring the remaining data back to The Heart Corporation. Watch your step, kid. I don’t tolerate people trying to play me, and neither does that NetNavi’s sisters.”
With a reach of her hand, the jack out feature of her wrist P.E.T activated returning a beam to her device. She had started to walk away as Xenneth was left in shock at what happened. As she gotten far, he had simply collapsed his back on a nearby bench near the terminal as he waited for the monorail to round the distance. His wrist lifted to see the device and the P.E.T data that finished transferring bringing up the high definition screen with Megami on the display as she smiled weakly.
“I’m sorry Xen-kun,” she had beckoned, “It was the only way I could think of to make sure we stayed together.”
Xenneth smiled weakly, but he was satisfied. He nodded his head in response. “It’s okay. I knew that you meant well, and honestly, I wanted it this way too. Whatever it takes to be with you, and I promised, remember? ”
Megami smiled, nodding enthusiastically. “Yes! Of course! We would find out who I am together, but…I rather not harm come to you.” Xenneth had stood up, smiling as the sound of the train rounded. The sound of the roaring engine had drowned out his words to her. ”A promise is a promise!” he had said, as he took a step forward upon the train. His collar ruffled from the change of direction of the wind as it picked up once again.
Regardless of risks, Xenneth, in his mind, had subconciously told himself that his friendship with the "Goddess" NetNavi was the best thing he ever had. Her real name, did not matter, nor her origin. His promise to her was an escape and binding contract to actually remain close to her, just as much as it was to her to be with the one she secretly loved. She was not going to let anything come between that, not so easily, and would treasure the time they had together and hoped her being with him had been a fortune more than any treasure. It seemed even with the new task pressed upon them, there was just a slight change of their feelings towards each other and a sense of accomplishment that heightened their determination and friendship.
It seemed like a new wind was blowing now that same evening… _______________________________ ”Who are you Goddess…really?” ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”The Carol of Bells“ by George WinstonIC Attire: White open jacket (White Wing Emblem on back); white shirt with tangling heart design (left shoulder), White jean bell bottom pants, white sneakers Chatty Ditz: Closed Character development post, so, yeah…characters come and gone just in an instant.

In one of the many apartment buildings that lined the historical section of the city, a young man enters his apartment, flicking on the light switch as he closed the door behind him. He sighed and kicked his shoes off near the door and walked into his small kitchen to get a drink, it had been quite a long day and he wanted to unwind.
After fetching a bottle of soda from the fridge, he made his way over to the couch, plopping down onto it, he opened his drink, which let out a soft 'fssszzzz' from the slight jostle of the motion previously. He took a swig of the soda, and reached over to the remote, turning his rather small TV on to catch the news.
" ...In other news, Cream land lost access and communications to its network resently, and upon reparations being made bore witness to a changed landscape. Sadly what little footage we got of the network..." as the news anchor spoke the screen switched over to show the footage shown earlier when it was live. " is shown here, obviously the network has changed greatly, but after one of guards mentioned something about a powerful being, they quit filming and left the scene..." The screen switched back to the news anchor as he continued the story. "Our latest reports have indicated after that footage, another massive disturbance occurred, and many of the electronics that were connected to the net at the time suffered severe damage to their internal networks. Most completely unusable, while others severely malfunctioning. Officials have yet to release what the cause of this has been, but speculations are...
Dave quit listening at this point, his mind processing what he just learned. It reminded him of the problem with Eon all to much. Fishing his P.E.T. from his pocket he turned the screen on, half surprised when he saw Quickman was actually there, and not off trying to figure out his own problem. " Yo, Quick. You hear that about Cream land? "
Quickman crossed his arms as he turned to look at the window screen that appeared near him, raising an eyebrow as he spoke. " I dunno Dave...kinda hard to hear when your left alone in someones pocket..." Seeing Dave roll his eyes, Quickman chuckled a bit before continuing, his face taking a more serious appearance. " Yea...it sounds like bad stuff."
Dave rubbed his chin as he thought for a moment, not sure there was much they could do to learn more. Then an idea hit him. "Hey do we still have those ONB credentials? Could you access the ONB and check out what they know about it?"
Quickman's eyes shifted around for a moment, then nodded in approval. " Yup, got those and my registration here. Hold on I'll try to contact Suki, assuming she is still there." Quickman then attempted to open a connection to Suki's desk at the ONB, but quickly cut the attempt and clamped his hands to his head, his face scrunched in pain.
"Ugh...Something is up...All I could get is some garbled screeching noise. That isn't normal at all..."
Dave frowned at this news, he put his half drunk soda on the small end table near the couch and got up to head towards the door. "I am gonna hit up the ONB and see whats going on in person then. If you want to take off and check the net out you are welcome to. I'll let you know what I find out either way.". He finished speaking as he began slipping his shoes back on. Afterwards he then exited the apartment, planning on hitting up the metro line. He only hoped things were not as bad as they seemed, and at this point, they seemed pretty bad.
Quickman desided to stick around for a bit before heading out him self. He didn't know where he would go anyway, so staying with Dave seemed to be the best option for him self. He could always head off if they learned something on the way.

The door slammed.
He stepped again into the home that was no longer loved. He threw his shoes into the corner that was stained with dirt. He walked down the hall of torn wallpaper, passing by the kitchen and bathroom on the right side, and the dining room and living room on the left side. His objective was the staircase at the very end.
At the end of the hall contained a window and a staircase to the right. He shoved away the curtains and opened the blinds to see the outside world, but instead all he saw was more reason to hate. He slammed the blinds down, and as he walked up the stairs they shot back up. He let out a sigh and kept walking.
There were five doors in this hallway, but only the one at the end and 3rd on the right was opened and closed anymore. He went in and sat on his dusty bed. He looked at his computer desk which held various wounds of old age and a faulty computer with a cracked screened dark purple PET next to it.
He pulled out a snow white PET from his pocket.
"------, go find him."
The Navi inside the PET gave a frightful smile.
"Hehehe... As you wish!"
And then the Navi was gone.
He stared at his clock while lying on his bed. He pulled something else out of his pocket: a special pass allowing him to transfer to the school and rent the books he would need for any subject he requested.
"I still don't know who sent me this pass or why, but--"
He looked at his name, Crush Luminit, then once more at the clock.
"Maybe I'll go to school for once..."

A form runs through the city streets, eying the environment around him, looking for likely spots, huffing slightly as the long, sleeveless coat swirled around his ankles. Spotting a alley, he skids to a stop, running into the alley with a cackle as angry voices approach. The teenager leaps, grabbing a drain and swarming up the wall, flipping over a partition as those who were chasing him finally show themselves, revealed to be paint drenched punks." Where'd that little freak go?!" The leader, his head completely covered, glares around, then snorts." Tch...let's go..." Jack waits till they leave, then breaks down, letting out hooting laughs."Hoohoohoohoohoohoohoo!!!t-those idiots, hoohohoohoohoohoo!!!"

Crush stepped outside. Moments earlier, he could have sworn he heard a lot of shouting. Looking around now, it seems they are long gone.
"Hm, I wonder who it could have been?"
He slowly walked down his walkway to check on his mailbox. Rarely had there ever been mail in there, but he checks it anyway. There was a piece of mail trying to get his information for a free sweepstakes, which he proceeded to crumble in put into his pocket. He looked towards the sky. The sun was blazing down now, and it was quite hot. Suddenly--
"Is that.. laughter?"
He turned towards the house a couple houses down. Yet, he saw nothing. Crush held a hand to his hair. His hair was slightly being blown astray by the cool breeze. Crush turned back toward his door and slowly walked back.

Jack sits back up,letting out a few last hoots and wiping his head." Woooooooooh...toasty day,toasty..." He gets up,grinning mischievously at the thought of that paint drying." They'll have a hard time, for sure, the moronic jerks, hoohoohoo!!" The young traceur walks toward the street, then looks up and down the road." K.....now where to go..." He pulls out a wooden baton, tossing it up into the air and watches closely as it lands with a clack." Alright, this way!!!!" Jack picks the defensive weapon up by its cord handle, slotting it back into the sheath hidden beneath his coat, and walks, going past a guy going back into his house.

*clang!*
Crush stopped and turned around. Soon, a man looking a little older than he was started walking down the street. He had a bit of paint on his shoulder and hands. Maybe he was painting something? But.. he looked more of a thug than a painter. Perhaps he did some graffiti? Stupid, graffiti is with cans. Crush let out a sigh.
"Oh well.. can't always judge a book by its cover. Still, I wonder what he's up to? He's very intriguing.."

Jack brushes at Hus shoulder, sighing."Paint is so messy...Next time I'll use sawdust. Not as bad, hoohoohoohoo!" He stops, glancing down the road, and shakes his head."Maaaan....so boring..Let's see if there's another way to go." He glances around, noting various routes, then selects one, running and jumping as he grabs a tree branch, using the momentum to propel himself to a nearby roof, landing agily. Jack didn't seem to notice that he was being watched." There we go..Now I can spot any interesting sights!" He peers around, then frowns as his stomach rumbles." Maaaan, those losers made me forget my lunch...what a drag...."Finally noticing he was being watched, Jack turns with a wave and grin at Crash." Yo there, man. Any idea where I can find a resteraunt?I'm new to town!"

Did he just speak to me? Crush looked behind him on the left, and then checked behind him on the right, then looked back at this athletic thug. Did he speak to me?
"Um.."
Crush brushed his hair with his hand. It was a thing he did often when he was overly nervous.
"P-please, step inside."
Crush walked up to the door and opened out, motioning for Jack to come down and follow.

Jack blinks, then nods with a grin, jumping and using the same brqwnch to jump down as his coat flares out. The he walks over to Crash." Ey man! Thanks for inviting me into your home. I'm Jack Vertigo, traceur and stick-it-to-em master! What's your name, buddy?" He holds out a friendly hand.

Crush starts to sweat nervously as he slowly reaches for Jack's hand and ends up shaking it wearily.
"I-I'm.. uh.. Crush. C-Crush Luminit. Please, make yourself at home."
Crush lead Jack through the door and closed it. He then brought him down the hall and into the room to the left before the stairs on the right. It was a mid-size complete kitchen and a dining table with four chairs.
"H-have a seat.. where you'd like."
Crush walked over to the cabinets and searched through them for a pan. Then, he checked the fridge.
"Will.. Grilled Cheese suffice? W-would you.. like two?"

Jack tilts his head." Ey,bud...you alright man?"But, Crush simply guides him inside, and he takes a look around. It seemed...unhomeish, like no one was truly living here, or that it was empty in a whole other way....He shrugs, following Crush. Each persons choice was their own, yah know? Asked to have a seat, he does so, and the guy inquires weither or not he wanted grill cheese, and if two would suffice." Yaah, man, grilled cheese'll do fine, and yah, two, please. Thank you for your generosity. Yah want payback?"

Crush was almost astonished at how friendly this man was, he nearly dropped the bread! At the sound of payment, he simply gave a light smile.
"No it's okay. You've already given me more than I could ask for."
Crush untied the bread bag and grabbed 8 slices. He fired up the stove, buttered the pan, and grabbed some cheese slices from the fridge.
"You said you were new around town, right? Are you here for school or are you a PET Operator looking to join the ONB?"
