The stage lay set within the vast and open field of the city, a massive battlefield filled with countless lives and countless stories, yet this day, only two truly matter.
Walking among the crowd, a single Navi somehow manages to stand out from the rest; his nature seeming alone and solitary among the masses as he walks in silence, his dark violet armor reflecting almost no light as the golden horns that adorn his head shimmer in the sun with reflective majesty. In an odd paradox compared to his normal stance and nature, this Navi seems fully peaceful at the current time, if very aloof and cut-off from those around him.... this stands as the first story in this tale, which continues to play on even as the second story crosses paths with this strangely paradoxical individual....*
Lengths: To be set. Battle type: Single judge (not yet chosen) Fight begins with the first attack from either Navi.

*In the countless amount of others, crimson eyes gazed over them all. Unlike the first story of this day, the one who carried the second tale rejected everyone else. They all had their right to life and such sure, but to him, they were simply there for his own amusement. To cure him of this bored sensation that ran through his cold figure every so often.*
"Boring days, peaceful yet restricted days like these....they're all nothing but dull in the long run. Nothing but people feeding on one another as always in the shadows."
*And on this day, he had a whole city full of them to use for this exact purpose. Standing atop a single building, crimson eyes looked down upon them with a bored and annoyed gaze, none of them looked like they would be any sort of particular fun either. Quantity over quality wasn't exactly his style, but he'd run with it. Jumping off of the building as he faded into darkness, appearing again above a mass of the citizens.*
"Whatever."
*Striking his fist down, a blast of darkness crashed down into all around him, devouring the unwary as they were destroyed. Seemed as though his guess was right after all, seeing as he was left with those who weren't hit or those who were barely touched by the blast and survived with heavy damages. Suppose he could look out for some others who could wet his appetite some. He actually wouldn't mind for once if someone decent came up and took a stand. After all, it used to happen all of the time back five years ago. It would either be a pain back then or a welcomed occurrence, the latter being true right now. He shrugged it off, repeating the same words he had said before attacking the people here. It didn't matter either way.*

*The flames burn and purge a large area of the city of life, Navis who remain all running for cover in the face of the black death rained apon them by one of superior power and nature. Before long, the entire area stood dead silent in the face of the dark one, leaving noone else for his personal amusement. Like cockroaches before the light, what had once been countless masses now stands as nothingness.
Silence returns to the area as the fires of black power burn all the deeper into the area, searing away the very being of all Navis who were unfortunate enough to be taaken by the blast. Slowly yet surely, the flames die down and lose intensity.... however, something abnormal then reveals itself from the midst of the flames: a lone figure stands among them, and stands tall at that. As the fires at last die, the two stories at last meet. Standing above the rubble, the lone one remains with eyes forward for some time, seeming to ignore his counterpart in this conflict for some time, almost as if locked in a trance.
Then finally, he turns his head; blood red eyes gazing out from a set of heavy violet armor with gold trim, his glare revealing a zeal and firey nature that meets, if not surpasses that of the darkloid assailant who destroyed so many with such a blast. While the attack was enough to destroy them en-mass, the one standing now reveales himself to be unmarked by the fires, resisting even their dark nature via his own personal zeal and conviction, revealing nothing more than the dark one's desire in an unexpected form: a true opponent*

*As always, they fled. The eternal silence that rang forth in all of the dissonance. Crimson eyes watching the flames, the same bored gaze looking about them as he thought of how exactly to hunt down whoever could have escaped. That was at least until the fires began to die down, eyes noticing a single lone figure amongst the ending chaos. Standing in the flames unscathed, the blood red eyes at last meant with his own crimson, a sort of unexplained glee in Xion's own eyes. Even through his darkened self he could feel it: the conviction and devotion in this one, obtaining for once what he desired.*
"Seems like wishes do come true."
*He didn't know where this navi had come from, nor did it entirely matter to him either. He had perfect timing on revealing himself, which was all the better for him regardless of everything else. It would at last remove the boredom that he was constantly stuck with, but for how long was the question. That in truth 'was' one of his stronger attacks, but limited down to some extent. He could say that this person wasn't merely a bluff then, and in a way looked just as he was. Not really one for words.*
"I'm glad you could make it. Why don't you help me out here? I rarely find ones willing to do so at all lately."
*Darkness began to circle his hands in a more tangible form, black lightning coursing and surging forth from it every so often. With his desire fulfilled in the most unexpected form possible, it was time to let himself run loose.*

*The unknown one's eyes narow at Xion's dark desire for warfare, his fists clenching as he looks on*
?: ....fool.
*Without any previous warning, the Navi launches from where he stands, leaping several stories into the air while aiming downward and strafing Xion with several explosives launched from his twin cannons before landing behind him and rushing in, locking hands with the darkloid and pushing him back several feet before forcing a deadlock, both combatants face-to face*
?: You want a fight for personal pleasure? I'LL GIVE YOU ONE FOR YOUR LIFE!!!
*With that, the Armored Destroyer thrusts him self back slightly and performs a swift back-flip, his energy-encased legs flying upward and slamming into Xion's head, knocking him back and onto a levatating mine that had been left there unnoticed before the unknown one had jumpped away. Now Xion stands between a rock and a hard place: a high-explosive behind him set and prepared to strike, or an opponent standing before him with a cannon aimed at his head. The stories now merged into one, as only one end could come....*

*The initial words were more than enough for form a warning for what was to come for him, darkness lashing upward to meet with the blasting barrage, the blasts and darkness clashing before both were blown apart, the blast tearing through the area surrounding them. Turning swiftly to meet with his adversary immediately, both being caught in the deadlock as he was overpowered and pushed back several feet, his eyes holding the same form of crazed glee from before.*
"Those things come hand in hand with me. Except it won't be my life lost today."
*For one who was as strong as he was, he seemed agile in the same breath. Being caught by surprise by the sudden back-flip and being caught in the face with it, being sent upward as he righted himself, noticing the mine and the opponent before him. These types of situations were what made these fights all the more enjoyable. Rather than stay where he was however, Xion vanished from sight for a short amount of time. Forming again next to the mine, he took it in hand as a set of six swords blasted out from the darkness in his hands, tossing each of them at the Destroyer as they exploded on contact with his opponent, blanketing the field in dark flames and destruction before tossing the mine into it right after, using the weapon meant for himself against his enemy. Landing on the ground after hovering down slowly, observing the area about him.*
"Unless of course, you can prove me wrong?"

*The dark swords screamed like lightning to the unknown one, who raises both cannons and begins firing off explosives, blasting each one down before they could reach him, but letting the returned mine come the full distance. Impacting the Armored Destroyer, the mine bursts into a ball of raw energy that instantly spreads out and engulfs Xion with a powerful backlash.*
?: I already have.
*Suddenly, a powerful impact slams into Xion's back, cutting like an axe as it slices in a horizontal pattern and pushes the darkloid forward. As he falls forward, the Armored Destroyer breaks his vision, flipping onto his feet with a punch to the Darkloid's face and a second to his gut before slamming the side of his head with a rising kick and pushing him backwards.... yet another mine where he had once been to tell the tale of how he had repositioned himself so quickly*
?: Now shut up and fight me: I have no use for your worthless ego.

*The backlash wasn't at all an issue to Xion considering his distance from his opponent, though that didn't stop his foe from getting behind him. Feeling the impact and being pushed forward by it, Xion brings his hand down on the ground, doing a hand-plant to push himself upward and face to face with the Destroyer, even though he was upside-down compared to the other. He turned in midair, bringing his leg down to meet with the punch aimed for his face before turning again, using the other leg to knock aside the second. Raising both arms to block the kick, being sent backward as he turned again, landing on a knee on the ground.*
"Aren't you one to talk about an ego? Whatever floats your boat."
*Seeing as the mines did no real harm to his opponent, if anything allowing him to move about more freely than anything else. He could either waste time dealing with it, or focus on his primary target. He for one didn't particularly care for the mine, so his choice was rather obvious. Striking the ground, a blast wave of darkness was sent out around the area and aimed at the Armored Destroyer. This was in all truth not expected to make any real contact by itself, Xion no longer where he once stood as he came to be on the side of the navi, bringing down two swords similar to the ones he used before, exploding them at point blank range even after striking with them at the navi. At the same time, he came from behind the navi, a double-sided blade in hand as he tossed it at the Destroyer, this one not exploding and instead cutting through what it touched. All of these movements were followed by the final one of this brief and sudden assault, a sword-breaker forming from Xion's left arm as he came down from above, crashing down as another blast towered upward briefly and a small distance around Xion, jumping up from the cloud of smoke and landing back on the ground. Between his opponent's cannons shooting down long distance assaults, plus his quick ability to use burst movement, Xion would have to work with what he was initially designed for.*

*The first came off as fairly predictable to the Armored Destroyer, who fired off a bomb into the ground in order to deflect the on coming dark shockwave, but the second attack came out somewhat more unexpected. While he managed to shoulder the attack instead of allowing it to deal more devastating damage, the Armored Destroyer had no real way to counter the blast and took it head on. Stunned for a moment, the Armored Destroyer stumbles to the side, his armor smoking from the explosive force of Xion's attack, yet somehow he manages to fight off the stunning effect, reaching back and catching the dual-sided blade that was aimed for him and tossing forward, planting it blade-first at Xion's feet.
Raising his eyes from his hand, the armored Navi looks out with a glare at his opponent, the burning zeal in his blood-red eyes still unyielding in the face of his deadly opponent.... no matter what happened now, the end would NOT end in the darkloid's favor!
Xion's choice to ignore the mine turned out to be a very deadly mistake on his part, as the levitating casing suddenly spins rapidly and glows solid white. With a flash and a crashing blast akin to roaring thunder, the mine behind Xion erupts into a massive ball of energy, far more powerful than the one that the darkloid had disarmed previously in the battle. In an instant, the blast reaches Xion and launches him forward like a bullet: directly to his opponent, who stands ready for this turn of events. Mere yards before the Darkloid reaches him, the Armored Destroyer charges forward, closing the gap even faster as he raises both cannons and fires: one bomb impacting Xion squarely in the gut while the other one fires at his feet, exploding and sending him skyward from the force.
This was not yet the end though, as the Armored Destroyer suddenly appears ABOVE Xion, his fist recoiled and ready as the Darkloid reaches his apex. With a mighty blow, the heavily armored Navi slams his fist into Xion's head like a hammer, falling with him and pile-driving his entire body into the ground with one massive blow, yet another mine hovering where he had been before...*

*That was an unexpected result if he had ever seen one. Having gauged the explosive by the power let loose by the previous one, he hadn't expected it to be so much stronger in comparison. Being caught by the blast and launched forward at breakneck speed, it was no real surprise that he was caught by the incoming blasts that followed, taking one to the stomach before being blasted into the sky, trying to force his body to recover from the assaults. Alas, that would be a task proven impossible in the next few moments, the blow to the back of his head following it directly sending him straight to the ground. Directly before landfall, the darkness forged in front of him as a sort of shield or barrier, breaking his fall somewhat as a cloud of smoke blasted out through the area from the crash zone. This was turning out to be more difficult, more fun than he had first anticipated after all. He wouldn't make the same mistake twice, the Armored Destroyer no longer feeling the feel of the darkloid's head any longer, the sword that was once in the ground gone. Suddenly, the double blade flew off, piercing the mine ahead of time this time. Six more blades came forward, each similar to the ones that exploded before while two more double sided blades were sent forward, all of them seemingly coming from atop of two buildings.*
"Time to get a bit more serious."
*In truth, all of it was simply a decoy. Each of the attacks sent forth suddenly turned into dark mist, harmless in nature, but used simply to throw his opponent off guard. A clawed strike came forward, striking at the armored navi from the side of his head before the sword breaker from before was used directly after, swung down upon the navi in order to push him a bit more off balance for the oncoming attack that was planned out next. Rather than relent in his attack, he continued to push forward, punching as before at the start of his arrival as the massive blast of darkness was let loose at point blank range at the destroyer. Blasting off through him and through the surroundings as the ground was reduced to rubble, the glass on several buildings shattering, more than likely due to the previous explosions used by the Armored Destroyer himself. He could feel his body's aching motions, but that was obvious. He never really tried to avoid the enemy's attacks right off the bat, getting a feel for how they fought exactly, how powerful their attacks were. It didn't help much when the person obviously had a powerful offensive like this one did, but it did help in another manner. His darkness beginning to surge even more. It was almost time for him to toss aside the kid gloves, and when he did, the change in power would possibly be the most surprising thing to occur in this fight. The darkness beginning to swirl around his hands again, preparing his more powerful attacks to enter the game he played now.*

*As Xion pierces the mine, it once again becomes unstable and erupts into a more randomized patters, blasting a fair sized area behind the Armored Destroyer as he looks on, the white flash creating a fearful backdrop as he stands unwavering, looking atop the building, the unknown one instantly sees the oncoming blades and fires off a single bomb. The bomb flies through the blade, now transformed into mist, and impacts the building in the backdrop with a fairly potent blast. It’s then that he realizes what was happening with the blades, and what was likely to come next…. Stepping back just in case, the Armored Destroyer prepares himself as the blades strike the ground and transform into a black mist.
As the claw reaches from the shadows, intend on slashing the unknown one with dark power, he instantly reaches up and takes it by the wrist, yanking it from its ethereal domain as the unknown summoned being within the void screams in pain. Fool me once….
Wiping the hand around, he holds it with both of his hands and crashes Xion’s sword assault against the arm, holding it back and keeping the explosion as far away from his body as possible as he slides back on both feet from the blast. It’s then that the Armored Destroyer recognizes Xion’s movements from before. The previous strike along these lines was obviously spread out to delete as many normal Navis as possible, but it was likely that this strike would not leave any chance of that happening again. Directly before Xion fires the blast of darkness, the Armored Destroyer leaps from his current position, flying over his foe’s strike while firing off yet another Mine, this one impacting the ground a few yards behind Xion before floating in place, armed and ready to strike.
While still airborn, the unknown one positions himself directly above Xion while he still releases the dark blast, recoils his fist, and falls like a stone from the apex of his jump, slamming a deathly powerful punch directly into the darkloid before planting both feet onto the ground and doubling back to gain some distance between the two. Landing perfectly, this unknown Navi once again takes aim and begins to fire, releasing explosives from his two cannons in sequence, each shot impacting Xion and throwing him backwards like a rag doll as this unknown one continues to fire off explosive shots to increase his velocity and move him even farther. After a short time, the darkloid is knocked past the mine and becomes plastered against the wall of the same building that the six blades had come from just moments before. It’s then that the unknown one’s purpose for this move becomes clear. Just as the rubble had fallen from his previous explosive, the Armored Destroyer raises both of his cannons and fires directly above Xion, blasting a large, stone structure poised on the second floor and dislodging it, allowing it to free-fall. In less than a second, the massive structure slams into Xion, breaking into countless pieces as the earth quakes from its raw weight, the unknown one still looking on, knowing that this would not end so easily*

*Xion's eyes flickered with the same sort of glee from before. As expected, his opponent was able to avoid the attacks. As he had wanted, his opponent was able to counterattack as well. He was built for speed, not for taking blows, something he had been doing the entire match just so that this moment could come about. Being punched forward before the blasts sent him off like a sandbag, being blasted time and again until he came to finally crash into the building he was aimed for. As the stone structure begins to fall, Xion's eyes gained a purple hue as his body became surrounded and covered in darkness, the only thing visible being his two eyes within the reaches and depths.*
"I suppose I'll give you everything then."
*Darkness began to spread from the ruined building, the rubble beginning to sink into it slowly but surely. It continued to spread, forming a circle around the Armored Destroyer before it shot upward into a tower, raining the rubble and debris down upon him. Some coming from both sides of him directly too. Of course, this was of no real threat to the Destroyer, his weapons capable of clearing it out easily. Instead, Xion's speed had increased significantly with his change into his Dark Soul. Seemingly warping along the rubble to the navi, Xion had appeared to come from all three angles, keeping in mind what happened the last time he had tried the indirect approach. Oddly enough, all three of the Xions moved, each striking at the armored navi with force at least three times greater than before, the speed blinding fast as the attack continued in full. Two of them continuing the assault while the third began to swallow in the darkness that had been gathered, soaring downward as the others continued the attack before they simply faded away, forged merely from the speed that Xion himself produced.*
*And then, the ground zero happened. The body crashed down into the Armored Destroyer, blasting off all of the energy in full in a destructive burst, a sphere of violet forming before it exploded, a shock wave blasting through the area as the darkloid stood up in full from the attack, smoke and destruction surrounding him. The purple eyes still flashing as before, the only thing visible of his body any longer. It had all gone according to plan, and now would begin his counteroffensive. The darkness that he wielded wouldn't end nearly as quickly as others who wielded it as such. He'd need it though: his opponent wasn't exactly one who'd drop that easily after all, something he still found more favorable than anything else.*

*As expected, the rubble came about as no real problem. Glancing up, the destroyer leaps back and out of the range of the falling debris. However, something different comes about this time around. The armored Navi's eyes suddenly widen as he sees Xion strike back with an abandon and the power of the Dark Soul, finding himself able to do little as the three versions of the darkloid perform a triangulated strike, slashing him like mad as he stands taking the pain. No response comes as the true Xion charges up and prepares to take the stage by storm, nor does any apparent movement come when the black power slams into him with impressive force and shatters most of what it connects with.... however, the story was not about to end here.
As Xion looks on, the Armored Destroyer suddenly launches upward from the darkness below with a yell, rising to his darkened opponent with blinding speed as his entire form burns with the black fire of Xion's power, causing him to appear of kin to a black comet rising from the voids below. With zero warning, the Navi recoils and throws out a punch directly into the intangable Navi's face.... and it somehow lands true.
The Armored one makes land-fall as Xion's DS form pile-drives into the ground before him. The attack had been severely weakened, yet somehow it had managed to pierce the heart of darkness that Xion now wields, and had managed to deal actual damage.
Standing before Xion, still burning with the dark power, the Armored Destroyer motions for Xion to continue.... knowing very well how to counter the darkloid's trump card with his own innate powers*
(OOC: Let the reader understand: DS drops all damage to 0 and negates status damage/reduction. Break element's damage cannot be lowered below a specific number, meaning it is indeed capable of dealing damage to a DS Navi)

*Against any other opponent, the darkloid would've treated the incoming attack as though it would do no harm at all. It was an undeniable fact after all that most attacks couldn't inflict harm to him in this state. If they could, the attack would normally look at least slightly different than the average one, which would give him the incentive to avoid it. The Armored Destroyer was a different case, a rare case at that. Simply watching as his opponent came toward him, scoffing at it.*
"A worthless--Guh!?"
*Xion's eyes widened as the blow struck true, inflicting more harm than usual for the sheer fact that in truth, his physical body was on it's edge already. Being sent into the ground, darkness blasting from his form to push him off of the ground before impact, landing a small distance from the Destroyer as he growled lowly. For the first time in this fight, Xion had become irritated from his opponent's notion. Having been proven wrong, having been struck again even now, and the motion that the Armored Destroyer just gave him after the fact. Seemed as though that in this state, he would have to use the full stature of his speed simply to make up for the fact that the navi's attacks could still harm him.*
"Alright then, I won't discredit you any further. It's time to start bringing this game to an end."
*With a somewhat uncharacteristic roar, Xion broke ahead to go back on the offensive. Two blades forming from each arm, the darkloid vanished right as he got into attacking range with the Destroyer. A purple streak flashed by once, coming back again as two strikes tore off into the chest of the heavily armored prey. A second pair of marks accompanied it, claws tearing forward and into the same area that the blades had targeted. Appearing again a short distance away from the mystery navi, Xion thrust the blades into the ground, darkness spreading forth as the flames blasted out, destroying the ground around the Destroyer and sending him upward instead, shooting upward and beside him before unleashing a solid blow against the rival, aimed to send him into one of the few remaining buildings left. The darkness surrounding his body started to change into an even further intangible form if that was possible, preparing for something else rather than his usual heightened attack on his following assault.*

*As Xion roars in anger against him, the Armored Destroyer's eyes spark. While his opponent was indeed powerful and fast, it seemed that he also had a rage of great depth... a weapon to be used by both sides at this point.
The bladed onslaught aimed at this Navi's breastplate turned out to be too fast to block. While he knew the instant that his opponent disappeared what would happen next, his reflexes proved to be just too slow in this case, several large gashes appearing across his armor from the multiple strikes, each one causing him to falter back slightly in pain. The fury of these attacks, while powerful in-and-of themselves, came across with more effect than was apparent.... slightly dazed from the claws and the flames that only now begin to die down from across his form, the Armored Destroyer finds himself backed into the prefect position for the following strike. The blades explode into a black fire-ball as the armored one is launched upward in a nearly helpless state.... however, it was at this point that he regained his wits.
Quickly evaluating the situation and looking back to see Xion rising like lightning, the course of action becomes clear. The unknown one continues to rise in an apparently helpless state for a second longer, until Xion recoils for his final strike of the previous onslaught, then lashes out: grabbing the darkloid's wrist before he could lash out and pulling him close with all of his strength, slamming the DS Navi's gut into his elbow with a powerful blow before recoiling and performing a swift line-drive punch to his darkened face, rocketing him down from the vertical position where the two had met. With this, the Armored Destroyer quickly shifts his momentum and kicks off of a nearby building, giving aerial pursuit as he falls like a meteor, raising both arms and firing off a barrage of mines as he does so.
One by one, the mines begin to explode in mid-air, tossing Xion around like a rag-doll and keeping him throughly occupied as he falls before he at last impacts the ground, forming a crater from his combined weight and velocity. This would not be the end, however. Still falling, the Armored Destroyer recoils a single fist to slam into Xion like a meteor, falling like lightning and burning like a black inferno. However, there came a sudden change in expected plans, as the explosive Navi quickly shifts his second hand forward and begins firing a second barrage of mines, this one spreading out as he quickly parts his hands and thrusts them to the sides: each one exploding almost instantly and forming a wall of solid white energy before Xion just as the destroyer lands behind it.
With his position now throughly hidden by the white fires of breaking power, the Armored Destroyer takes full advantage of his position. From beyond the wall, he begins to fire a barrage of explosive mines, each one impacting the ground near Xion's position and exploding before at last one single mind pierces the explosive wall like lightning, blasting forward with speed far more significant than any of the other mines. This one slams into Xion's chest squarely and erupts into a shining white ball of destruction as the one who used it leaps from behind the wall of destruction, rises over the explosive orb that now engulfs Xion, and comes down like a meteor, slamming an energy-enshrouded leg into Xion's skull with all of his strength and weight, dissipating the explosive energies from the surge of power before kicking off and staring down his opponent once again... halfway between Xion, and a mine now set behind the lines of what was once the wall of destruction*
