Her restraint was well-founded, as the blizzard back then was more akin to an aftereffect of the attack that was unleashed. The avalanche that had leveled Sharo had been sent skyward from Blu's response, leading to the response that had taken place. What came of that blizzard was the thunderous assault in the form of rain, striking the magma creature with immense fervor as part of it was frozen over as it managed to respond to the attack in the nick of time to not suffer a more unfortunate effect. The liquid parts had frozen solid and also crumbled apart, causing the head to have to seek out more magma for the time being as its mobility was stripped from it and presented her with the opening to make an escape outside of its radius before it could recover. The bugs also hadn't responded to the sudden appearance of the attack, as if it was also beyond their own detection radius. All in all it was the best possible outcome that she could expect to gain from the sudden appearance of the demon, though it looked like some of the bugs started to approach her now. They hadn't detected her before now, so something must have finally drawn at least the dozen that did start to make their way toward her. She could outpace them at this rate, but now it was at least a sign that she did have something on her that would cause their detection to go off as well.

#s://i~imgur~com/Pth93Lo~png That plan worked rather pleasantly, so now was moving back along to the initial opening she had passed up earlier -- where Deav and Vamin had recently emerged from.
As she made her way about, it seemed strange for the bugs to suddenly start noticing her. She'd double check her person to ensure there wasn't anything new in her possession that she may have inadvertently picked up during her detour. For good measure, she'd be sure that the device she used to transmit her counterfeit signal from before was still turned off as well. If nothing else, the only thing left to narrow down the mystery behind the bugs' sudden detection of her would either be that she was seen by the Lava Demon or that it was her dagger -- either by its own nature or as a byproduct of recalling some of Blu's absorbed data.
She'd just have to continue on for now until it was more clear. The last suspicion was that it wasn't the hivemind at all, but someone operating them that had given the directive to seek her out. She wouldn't know for certain with what information she had though, so it was best just not to slowdown in the meantime.

She was correct to assume that the signal was off for good measure. The theories all lined up, but testing them or not was another matter as she used her fleetfooted nature to make her next move. This was what let her bypass the encroaching bugs and make her way to her destination. The initial opening that Deav and Vamin had recently emerged from, she managed to head there to find something that may have been familiar depending on how in-depth the report was that she had claimed from Cherish. It was much smaller than that original report would have given if it was caught up in all those details, though it was more possible that wasn't quite the case as well. The strange expanse was the thing that rested at the hole that they had come from. It was another different outcome than the various other outcomes that the different holes recently displayed here at the Citadel. Was it connected to where the other figure here had come and gone to?

#s://i~imgur~com/Pth93Lo~png Faith looked puzzled by the new discovery, reminding her more of the portal she had seen in Element City before she split off on Cherish's tasking. She would have related it to Sirius as well, whom she also met in Element City, but Cherish's own report was turned in before the fight with Sirius, so it didn't hold many details on him outside of his name. Her face to face encounter with him was all that she had to go off of otherwise, as Warrior's recounting of their confrontation seemed very downplayed.
" ... "
It was difficult to say whether the two were related. It was even harder to decide whether it'd be wise to press forward alone -- she wasn't particularly well-suited at fighting on her own, only really being "capable enough" if she were to be judged in scrutiny. Venturing deeper and deeper increased her risk factor considerably, but by the other token, she didn't have the luxury of time either.
If it was a matter of getting answers though, she'd have to jump through the hoops and take the risks that involved getting them. She'd just have to remain as discrete as she could, then be ready to act when that method inevitably failed. Having gathered her thoughts, she moved into the expanse to see what was on the other side.

Jumping through the proverbial hoops being done, she would soon find herself in an unfamiliar place. And from here on out, how she approached that space would be up to her just the same.
