The two struck down and formed from their respective data signatures, one a flurry of ice into a suit of armor and the other a field of electricity structured into the form of a warrior.
Gazing about at the carnage, so much of the area around laid flat, they could easily see the scars of horrific chasms still steaming with red energy. These massive scars covered almost every surface, and the whole of the land was bent slightly inward, inclined towards the epicenters of the massive explosions that rocked the space.
Surely, they thought, no life could sustain itself here. There wasn't even rubble to speak of for these catastrophes . . . just desolation. Cracked, barren earth as far as the eyes could see, and scorched shadows that were once Navis.
Armiger found himself slightly choked up at the scene, whereas Centurion was far more worried about whatever had been unleashed here potentially still being around. They glanced about, suddenly unsure of exactly what they could do, given the condition of the area.
". . . Is there anyone here? Call out if you can hear me!"
Centurion turned to look at his partner, raising an eyebrow. Armiger shrugged, unsure, but tried to answer with optimism. "No one place really looks any better than the others . . . may as well just see what we can find, no?"
"I mean, sure . . . just hope whatever did this isn't lurking around, I guess," he responded, his own voice a little shakey at the thought.
The two stared out against the desolation, unsure of what exactly they could do, here.

Creamland was worse for wear after its recent events. Between the destructive forces that besieged it as well as the final assault, it had become a defunct network in all actuality. And in the wake of this realization laid the fact that it meant that all those in Creamland had unfortunately met a devastating fate just the same, the heat in the area risen and a radiation of sorts still lingering. Whoever or whatever had done this had taken Creamland out of the picture in its entirety. And yet why was it that they were able to be here at all, with nothing to be able to sustain them or serve as a medium for them? And in the wake of this desolation they would be able to feel that they were not so alone here as they would like, as the heat that they could feel was steadily increasing as well.

Not far from where Centurian and Armiger had been, Warrior came forward seemingly from no where, responding to both their queries at once. He felt the temperature rising, but not being any the wiser, just chalked that up to the residual radiation from Joker's fallout the day prior.
" If there were any survivors to the initial assault, then the follow up to the entire Cyber World probably hit them next. That said... "
It was a wonder what Warrior was even doing here in that case. While Feint could sleep after her hard day's worth of work, he had still yet to accomplish any of his original goals, much less finding Faith amidst the ensuing anarchy. The aforementioned Cyber World destruction impacted the Real World pretty significantly -- another flight to Sharo was out of the question, so his next best bet to getting there was to come back here: ground zero of where Verde had guided him initially.
There may have been more clues to lead him back to Faith's last known location, being that he was still oblivious to everything that had gone on from her side of the story.
" ... I'm looking for someone myself. We could lend each other a hand, if you'd like. What brings you two here? "

They looked around as the new figure beamed in, looking stunningly like a normal individual with an abnormally large weapon. They had seen someone like him recently, in all truth - a human turned Navi, from their understanding.
Whoever had done this was already seeking repentance, then? Was it so simple to forgive actions so grand? It looked like it was entirely left defunct, its very earth salted and unfit for life. The air felt wrong.
Even as he asked his question, though, Centurion and Armiger would feel the other tell-tale sign in the air that would spell the danger that lingered here. Whereas the other saw it as just a sign of the environment, Centurion and Armiger knew better. The two looked around, their guard suddenly raised, as Armiger's body produced a miniature blizzard around him and Centurion's body began crackling.
"We could serve to help each other out . . . we came here seeing what we could do to help," Armiger explained, looking about, the weariness in his voice evident.
". . . We've been out and about a while, though. This rising heat . . . a grave adversary comes along with it."

His oversight of the heat would have been his undoing, had Centurion not been here to warn him.
It also made sense that they hadn't been here on the eastern networks for at least a few days, since Joker's attack on Creamland was certainly publicized by now. He had to wonder where they'd come from, then, since it crossed Electopia, Netopia, and obviously Creamland off of the list -- perhaps even Netfrica.
" We'll stay on guard, then. Where are you two coming from? "

The heat would continue to rise as the very ground around them began to boil over into lava and desolation. And soon the ground with quake with step as the overbearing stature of the Incarnation of Famine that approached them was no less the same. The gargantuan stature of Vamin easily towered over them, gazing down at them. His jaw would move to become slightly agape, steam rolling out from it. So these were the ones who came back to this ruined space?
"The two little ones and the Warrior, huh? Not who I wanted, but good enough for me to vent on."

Turning to face Vamin, the brewing lava seemed to part ways around Warrior's feet as if not to touch him, giving him safe ground to stand on as he sized up the massive machine.
" Vent? Is something troubling you, Vamin? "
Well, something more than the network's erasure, he had to imagine.
As previously established, Warrior recognized each of the Reaverkings from Juno's episode the year prior despite rarely having crossed paths with any of them directly before recent days. His encounter with Vestil involved a short squabble, but all told, they parted on relatively friendly terms. Later, he had come across Var in this very network just after Joker's attack, but that confrontation didn't lead to conflict either.
Whether or not he'd have to square up to Vamin here remained to be seen, but at the very least he was two for two on peaceful engagements with the kings thus far.

The intensive heat peaked and unleashed, as the monstrous form of . . . someone much less dangerous than what they were both terrified of came out of the lava.
They were both still familiar with this individual, having been alongside Vanguard whenever he fought him just two days prior. The gargantuan, dinosaur-esque machine was surely dangerous, as already Centurion and Armiger would remember the empty pits he left in their stomachs, but it wasn't nearly as grave as their first assumption.
"L-lord Vamin," Armiger managed, taking a step away. The arctic armored navi quailed in the presence of the reaverking, concerned that this will quickly turn into a conflict as it did the last time. The lava that boiled up did not seem to create a space around Armiger for him to stand on, but the intense cold of his armor did maintain against it, the lava not nearly hot enough for his body to be melted by it. Centurion, for what it was worth, planting a spear on the ground and climbed on top of it, trying to stay out of the lava.
"We've been pretty busy, to say the least . . . most recently, outerspace, and before that, Sharo," Centurion answered, from atop his spear. "This isn't the first time we've run into Vamin, though . . . are you well, or is this an unfortunate scenario of following orders?"
It was a sentiment that he and Armiger would understand well.

It was a good question all said. What was bothering him lately he says? ...What was bothering him was the same as it had been ever since he had first been stirred. Now after that he had to put up with this for so long. How tedious it had all been for all this time?
"Something bothering me? I've been angry for such a long time about these circumstances. I crave to be unleashed, so lashing out when I can, orders or not, is all I've got going for me."
Which was what continued to make his rage flow. The lava would surge as a result before electricity would begin to fluctuate back through it. And soon the flames would calm somewhat, becoming dark in nature ultimately. The jaw would move somewhat into a snarl close to that of a grin.
"And right now I'd rather fight Vanguard in a real brawl instead of giving him a big head by giving him a headstart against me of all people. But since the guy who squared up with Vestil is here, I can sate my violence on you all for a bit instead. He'll suffice to keep me satisfied, so come at me with all you've got!"
His method of venting was much more clear then. With him having to sit down so much and even more be forced to sit around where Armiger and Centurion first found him was something that vexed him to no end. But he at least had gotten something good out of it in the end. And from what he heard from the grapevine, those guys got their comeuppance for keeping him on the backburner for so long as well. But all of that didn't matter in the heat of the moment.

Opponents' recovery and armor are reduced by 20%. Opponents' attack slots and auto charges are reduced by one. For every two turns that pass, these effects are advanced by a stage. (Skills require two additional uses, avoids avoid two less attacks, recovery and armor are reduced by 40%, attack slots and auto charges reduced by two). Pierces Immunity. Passive.

Inexhaustible The inversion of scarcity, lasting without end. Effects: As long as Lava or Famine's Plateau is active, Vamin recovers to full health every turn. Passive.
Feast or Famine A wealth of unending stamina so long as the terrain favors the one who bears famine. Effects: As long as Magnet, Lava, or Famine's Plateau are active, Vamin's HP, Damage, Armor, and Regeneration are boosted by 1.5x and Attack Slots are boosted by 1 based on how often they have been active throughout the battle. If the stage is changed, it counts as 1 turn having passed for the stage. (Turn 1 = 1.5. Turn 2 = 2. Turn 3 = 2.5.) Passive.
Presently: 3.5x
Concluded Famine When the cycle is concluded, coming full circle and returning to its source. Effects: For each time the opponent changes the stage in a turn, Feast or Famine is slowed from progression by the number of times that they have. If they manage to change the stage 6 times, Attrition's progress is halted by one turn. Passive.
Fatigued Force Diminished force, striking against the king of shortage himself. Effects: As long as Magnet, Lava, or Famine's Plateau is active for part of the turn, all damage taken is mitigated by 90%. If the damage cannot be reduced/mitigated, it is instead reduced by 45%. Passive.
Relentless Hunger A nagging sensation that tears one apart from the inside of all who challenge famine itself. Effects: Opponents take 250 Unavoidable Damage per turn. This damage is increased by itself per time the stage has been changed in the turn.

" I see... "
Vamin, being held back for so long, had nothing holding him back now as he spoke his mind on matters. All told, it was technically a "thoughtful" approach to have kept such restraint until this point, when going all out wouldn't have any terrible consequences. This land was already desecrated: further ruin wasn't exactly a plague in this case.
" Vestil's built tough, no doubt about that. I'd be worried for him otherwise, after the strike that just rocked the Cyber World, but I've no doubt he's holding up well. "
They were respectful remarks, as to be expected from him.
Warrior still wasn't entirely sure where the Reaverkings stood on matters surrounding everything, but none of them had shown him any considerable antagonism thus far. If anything, his dispute with Vestil was settled as gracefully as it could have been, and his conversation with Var was one of decisiveness rather than insubordination.
" I can't help you with your unsated vendetta on this Vanguard fellow, but there's no harm in going all out here anymore. I'll wager that we can at least handle some of it, and then I suppose we'll see where things go from there. "
There were no hard feelings about it, his tone made it clear.
The wind around Warrior surged, pushing back the encroaching lava even further and warding off the oppressive, fluctuating force emanating from Vamin. Knowing how well even the smaller-sized Vestil could take a hit, Warrior was quite certain that he wouldn't need to restrain either when swinging into Vamin.
When all was said and done, lightning surged over his body and a typhoon enveloped his sword, drawing in the lingering residue of the terrain and it continued fluctuating constantly during their bout. Springing forward, he launched the first attack, having now quintessentially been given permission, and brandished his blade about the same way he normally would, still showing regard to the damage it caused even to this destroyed network.
In a strike reminiscent of his duel with Verde, his sword glowed with a brilliant light as he brought it down for the final swing -- a far inferior spectacle than his accolades of the past, but a clear indicator that he didn't treat this as a fight to the death, as Vamin hadn't entirely painted himself as a villain in the scene.

That was good then, coming at him with what he had was what he desired of him. There didn't need to be any hard feelings between them, simply a feud between two sides. And while the attack was held back in comparison to what happened with Verde, it still had the essentials necessary to drive low an adversary. But Vamin wasn't one to kneel very readily, taking the influx of attacks in stride as his eye would begin to gleam as the red light started to palpably move off of it.
What came next was likely unexpected of one of his size as his arms moved in a flurry of their own, time and again catching everything around him before he brought his entire body forward, his head coming down with it as it slammed down, a shockwave sending ripples through the field and launching the lava around them skyward in a manner akin to a volcanic eruption.

Vamin's sudden flailing was unexpected indeed, Warrior losing his balance to stop himself in the middle of his own attacks just to deal with the Reaverking's. His image was shrouded by the rising lava that came from Vamin's head smash, but as the lava began to fall back down to the ground, it would instead diverge from gravity's pull and make its way to Warrior's raised sword instead, who still stood unscathed by the flames, even if just barely.
With little in the way of empowering himself further, and most of his energy drained parrying Vamin's strike, Warrior only had time to swing back a handful of times before abandoning his sword altogether -- launching it at the gargantuan like a boomerang -- and poised for defense.
He'd undoubtedly be undone by another assault like that, but he had to remain determined that Vamin had spent most of his energy unleashing it as well.

It looked like things hadn't quite been settled yet. But that was fine as his head smash had an alternative purpose just the same. As Warrior would move to swing back his handful of times he would notice that Vamin was... eating the soil? In a practice of geophagy, he tore up the land that was beside him as the sword was hurled like a boomerang upon him, the results of his practice made clear when the attacks made landfall but not penetrating his veil as it once was able to. And so he would move to strike again in a similar fashion as before, not slowing down between his previous rotation and his current one.
